Waaheguru is Omnipresent
ਦਿਲੋਜਾਨਮਬ-ਹਰਸਬਾਹੋਮਸਾ।
ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨ ਹਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ,
Every morning and evening, my heart and soul,
ਸਰੋਫ਼ਰਕਮਜ਼ਿਰੂਇਸਿਦਕੋਸਫ਼ਾ।੧।
ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਸਿਦਕ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਨਾਲ
My head and forehead with faith and clarity (1)
ਬਾਦਬਰਮੁਰਸ਼ਦਤਰੀਕਿਨਿਸਾਰ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਵੇ,
Shall sacrifice for my Guru,
ਅਜ਼ਸਰਿਇਜਜ਼ਸਦਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂਬਾਰ।੨।
ਨਿੰਮਰਤਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਰ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਵੇ ।
And sacrifice with humility by bowing my head millions of times. (2)
ਕਿਜ਼ਿਇਨਸਾਂਮਲਿਕਨਮੂਦਸਤਊ।
ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਨੁਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੇ,
Because, he created angels out of ordinary human beings,
ਇਜ਼ਤਿਖ਼ਾਕੀਆਂਫ਼ਜ਼ੂਦਸਤਊ।੩।
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਨ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ।
And, he elevated the status and honor of the earthly beings. (3)
ਖ਼ਾਸਗਾਂਜੁਮਲਾਖ਼ਾਕਿਪਾਇਊ।
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਹਨ,
All those honored by Him are, in fact, the dust of His feet,
ਹਮਾਮਲਕੂਤੀਆਂਫ਼ਿਦਾਇਊ।੪।
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਬਾਨ ਹਨ ।
And, all gods and goddesses are willing to sacrifice themselves for Him. (4)
ਗਰਫ਼ਿਰੋਜ਼ਦਹਜ਼ਾਰਮਿਹਰੋਮਾਹ।
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਨ ਪਏ ਚਮਕਣ,
Even though, thousands of moons and suns might be shinig,
ਆਲਮੇਦਾਂਜੁਜ਼ਊਤਮਾਮਸਿਆਹ।੫।
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਘੋਰ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਹੈ ।
Still the whole world will be in pitch darkness without Him. (5)
ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦਿਪਾਕਨੂਰਿਹੱਕਆਮਦ।
ਪਾਕ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ,
Holy and chaste Guru is the image of Akaalpurakh Himself,
ਜ਼ਾਂਸਬੱਬਦਰਦਿਲਮਸਬਕਆਮਦ।੬।
ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਵਸ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।
That is the reason that I have settled Him inside my heart. (6)
ਆਂਕਸਾਨੇਕਿਜ਼ੋਨਯਾਦਆਰੰਦ।
ਉਹ ਮਨੁਖ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ,
Those persons who do not contemplate Him,
ਸਮਰਾ-ਏਜਾਨੋਦਿਲਬਬਾਦਆਰੰਦ।੭।
ਸਮਝੋ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਅਜਾਈਂ ਗਵਾ ਲਿਆ ।
Take it that they have wasted the fruit of their heart and soul for nothing. (7)
ਮਜ਼ਰਾ-ਇਪੁਰਸਮਰਬ-ਅਰਜ਼ਾਨੀ।
ਇਸ ਸਸਤੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਖੇਤ ਨੂੰ
This field loaded with cheap fruits,
ਚੂੰਮ-ਬੀਨਦਜ਼ਿਦੂਰਸੇਰਾਨੀ।੮।
ਜਦ ਉਹ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਰੱਜ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
When he looks at them to his heart's content, (8)
ਇੰਬਸਾਤਆਇਦਸ਼ਅਜ਼ਾਂਦੀਦਨ।
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Then he gets a special kind of pleasure to look at them,
ਬਰਸ਼ਤਾਬਦਜ਼ਿਬਹਿਰਿਬਰਚੀਦਨ।੯।
ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਨਸਦਾ ਹੈ ।
And, he runs towards them to pluck them. (9)
ਲੇਕਹਾਸਿਲਨਿਆਰਦਅਜ਼ਵੈਬਾਰ।
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ,
However, he does not get any results from his fields,
ਬਾਜ਼ਗਰਦਦਗੁਰਜਨਾਖ਼ੁਆਰੋਨਜ਼ਾਰ।੧੦।
ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਫੇਰ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਤਿਹਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
And, returns disappointed hungry, thirsty and debilitated. (10)
ਗ਼ੈਰਸਤਿਗੁਰਹਮਾਬ-ਦਾਂਮਾਨਦ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝ,
Without Satguru, you should consider everything to be like as if
ਕਾਂਚੁਨਾਂਜ਼ਰਇਬਾਰ-ਵਰਦਾਨਦ।੧੧।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਝਾੜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਖੇਤ ਹੋਵੇ ।
The field is ripe and grown but full of weeds and thorns. (11)
ਪਹਿਲੀਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਉਸ ਸੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਦੇ ਨੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਕਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਝੰਡਾ ਉੱਚਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਪਾਤਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਕੇ ਅਨੰਤ ਤਕ ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਫਰਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਲਾਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਤੇ ਰੱਖੀ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ । ਲਾਹੂੂਤ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਕੇ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਤੱਕ ਸਭ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਦੀ ਖਾਕ ਹਨ । ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਣ ਕਰਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਪ ਵੱਡੇ ਮਰਤਬੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਰੱਬ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤਾਲਬ ਆਪ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਜ਼ਾਤ ਹੈ । ਹਰ ਚੌਥੇ ਅਤੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਫਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਦਾ ਕਲਾਮ ਵੀ ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਸਿਫਤ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨੂਰ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਝੰਡਾ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਝੁਲਦਾ ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਰੱਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੂਰਾਨੀ ਕਿਰਨਾਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਚੰਨ ਸੂਰਜ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁਬ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਫਾਰਸ਼ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਰਖਦੀ ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਜ਼ਾਤ ਗੁਨਾਹਗਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਹੈ । ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਸ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੰਮਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਚੇਰੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਫਰਸ਼ਿਤੇ ਉਸ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਦੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹਨ । ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਨੂੰਨ ਨਿਆਮਤਾਂ ਬਖਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ । ਵਿਚਕਾਰਲਾ ਅਲਿਫ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਲਖਾਇਕ ਹੈ, ਅਖੀਰਲਾ ਕਾਫ਼ ਅੰਤਮ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਸੂਚਕ ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਦੀ ਫਕੀਰੀ ਕਾਮਲ ਫਕਰ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਖਾਵਤ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ ।
Pehlee Paatshaahee (Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji). The first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was the one who glistened the true and all-powerful refulgence of the Almighty and to highlight the significance of knowledge of complete faith in Him. He was the one who elevated the flag of eternal spirituality and eliminated the darkness of ignorance of divine enlightenment and who took upon his own shoulders the responsibility of propagating the message of Akaalpurakh. Beginning from the earliest time to the present world, everyone considers himself to be the dust at his door; The highest-ranked, the Lord, Himself sings his praises; and his disciple-student is the divine lineage of Waaheguru Himself. Every fourth and sixth angel is unable to describe Guru's eclat in their expressions; and his radiance filled flag is flying over both the worlds. Examples of his command are the brilliant rays emanating from the Provident and when compared to him, millions of suns and moons get drowned in the oceans of darkness. His words, messages and orders are the supreme for the people of the world and his recommendations rank absolutely first in both the worlds. His true titles are the guide for both the worlds; and his true disposition is the compassion for the sinful. The gods in the court of Waaheguru consider it a privilege to kiss the dust of his lotus feet and the angles of the higher court are slaves and servitors of this mentor. Both the N's in his name depict nurturer, nourisher ans neighborly (boons, support and benefactions); the middle A represents the Akaalpurakh, and the last K represents the Ultimate great prophet. His mendicancy raises the bar of detachment from the worldly distractions to the highest level and his generosity and benevolence prevails all over both the worlds.
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਓਸਤ।
Waaheguru is the Truth,
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਓਹਾਜ਼ਰਨਾਜ਼ਰਹੈ।
Waaheguru is Omnipresent
ਨਾਮਿਊਸ਼ਾਹਿਨਾਨਕਹੱਕਕੇਸ਼।
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਧਰਮ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ।
His name is Nanak, the emperor and his religion is the truth,
ਕਿਨਿਆਇਦਚੁਨੂੰਦਿਗਰਦਰਵੇਸ਼।੧੩।
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦਰਵੇਸ਼ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ।
And that, there has not been another prophet like him who emanated in this world. (13)
ਫ਼ੁਕਰੇਊਫ਼ਕਰਰਾਸਰ-ਫ਼ਰਾਜ਼ੀ।
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਫਕੀਰੀ ਦਰਵੇਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
His mendicancy (by precept and practice) lifts the head of saintly living to lofty heights,
ਪੇਸ਼ਿਊਕਾਰਿਜੁਮਲਾਜਾਨਬਾਜ਼ੀ।੧੪।
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਜਾਨ ਵਾਰਨਾ ਹੈ ।
And, in his view, everyone should be prepared to venture his life for the principles of truth and noble deeds. (14)
ਤਾਲਿਬੇਖ਼ਾਕਿਊਚਿਹਖ਼ਾਸੋਚਿਹਆਮ।
ਕੀ ਖਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਆਮ ਲੋਕ, ਕੀ ਫਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਤੇ ਕੀ ਰੱਬੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਕ
Whether special person of high status or ordinary people, whether angels or
ਚਿਹਮਲਾਇਕਚਿਹਹਾਜ਼ਿਰਾਨਿਤਮਾਮ।੧੫।
ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਦੇ ਜਾਚਕ ਹਨ ।
Whether onlookers of the heavenly court, all of them are desirous-petitioners of the dust of his lotus feet. (15)
ਹੱਕਚੂਖ਼ੁੱਦਵਾਸਿਫ਼ਸ਼ਚਿਗੋਇਮਮਨ।
ਜਦ ਰੱਬ ਆਪ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਸਿਫਤ ਕਰਾਂ#
When God Himself is showering praises on him, what can I add to that?
ਦਰਰਹਿਵਸਫ਼ਿਊਚਿਪੇਇਮਮਨ।੧੬।
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਚਲਾਂ #
In fact, how should I travel on the path of approbations? (16)
ਸਦਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂਮੁਰੀਦਸ਼ਅਜ਼ਮਲਕੂਤ।
ਰੂਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਹੀ ਫਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਹਨ,
Millions from the world of souls, the angels, are his devotees,
ਸਦਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂਮੁਰੀਦਸ਼ਅਜ਼ਨਾਸੂਤ।੧੭।
ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਦੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਹਨ ।
And, millions of people from this world are also his disciples. (17)
ਹਮਾਜਬਰੂਤੀਆਂਫ਼ਿਦਾਇਊ।
ਅਧਿਆਤਮਕ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Gods of the metaphysical world are all willing to sacrifice themselves for him,
ਹਮਾਲਾਹੂਤੀਆਂਬਪਾਇਊ।੧੮।
ਅਤੇ, ਰੂਹਾਨੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
And, even all the angels of the spiritual world are also prepared to follow suit. (18)
ਹਮਾਨਾਸੂਤੀਆਂਮਲਾਇਕਿਊ।
ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹਨ,
People of this world are all his creations as angels,
ਜਲਵਾ-ਅਸ਼ਦਾਂਤਹਿਤੋਫ਼ੌਕਿਨਿਕੂ।੧੯।
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਹੋਠਾਂ ਉਪੱਰ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਹੈ ।
And, his glimpse is clearly manifested on the lips of everyone. (19)
ਜਾ-ਨਸ਼ੀਨਾਨਿਊਅਜ਼ਊਲਾਇਕ।
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਭ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਹਨ,
All his associates enjoying his company become knowledgeable (of spiritualism)
ਜ਼ਿਕਰਿਤੰਸੀਫ਼ਿਜ਼ਾਤਰਾਲਾਇਕ।੨੦।
ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਾਤ ਦੀ ਸਿਫਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ।
And, they begin to describe the glories of Waaheguru in their speeches. (20)
ਅਬਦਆਬਾਦਕਦਰੋਜਾਹੋਨਿਸ਼ਾਂ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਨ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ, ਸਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਤਬਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਤਕ ਸਥਿਰ ਹੈ,
Their honor and esteem, status and rank and name and imprints stay in this world forever;
ਬਰਅਫ਼ਰਾਜ਼ਦਜ਼ਿਯਕਦਿਗਰਸੁਬਹਾਂ।੨੧।
ਉਹ ਪਾਕ ਪਰਵਰਦਗਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉਚੇਰਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਬਖਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ।
And, the chaste Creator bestows upon them a higher rank than others. (21)
ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦੁਲ-ਆਲਮੀਂਸ਼ੁਦਸ਼ਚੂਖ਼ਿਤਾਬ।
ਜਦ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ
When the prophet of both the world addressed
ਅਜ਼ਅਨਾਯਾਤਿਹਜ਼ਰਤਿਵਹਾਬ।੨੨।
ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ (ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ) ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ ।
Through his benefaction, the all-powerful Waaheguru, he said (22)
ਗੁਫ਼ਤਮਨਬੰਦਾਓਗੁਲਾਮਿਤੂਅਮ।
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹਾਂ,
Then he said, "I am Your servitor, and I am Your slave,
ਖ਼ਾਕਿਅਕਦਾਮਿਖ਼ਾਸੋਆਮਿਤੂਅਮ।੨੩।
ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਮ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਸ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਹਾਂ ।
And, I am the dust of the feet of all of Your ordinary and special people." (23)
ਬਾਜ਼ਚੂੰਹਮਚੂਨੀਂਖ਼ਿਤਾਬਆਮਦ।
ਫਿਰ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ,
Thus when he addressed Him like this (in stark humility)
ਮਤਵਾਤਰਚੁਨੀਂਜਵਾਬਆਮਦ।੨੪।
ਤਾਂ ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਏਹੀ ਜੁਆਬ ਆਇਆ ।
Then he got the same response again and again. (24)
ਕਿਮਨਮਦਰਤੂਗ਼ੈਰਤੂਕਸਨੀਸਤ।
ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ (ਵਸਦਾ) ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ (ਦਿਸਦਾ),
"That I, the Akaalpurkh, abide in you and I do not recognize anyone other than you,
ਹਰਚਿਹਖ਼ਾਹਮਕੁਨਮਹਮਾਅਦਲੀਸਤ।੨੫।
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਓਹੀ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਦੀ ਗਲ ਹੈ ।
Whatever I, the Waheeguru, desire, I do; and I do only the justice." (25)
ਰਾਹਿਜ਼ਿਕਰਮਬਆਲਮੇਬਿਨੁਮਾ।
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਖਾ ।
"You should show the meditation (of my Naam) to the entire world,
ਬ-ਹਮਾਸ਼ੋਜ਼ਿਵਸਫ਼ਿਮਨਗੋਯਾ।੨੬।
ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸਿਫਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਕਰ ਦੇ ।
And, make every one chaste and sacred through My (Akaalpurakh's) kudos." (26)
ਦਰਹਮਾਜਾਪਨਾਹੋਯਾਰਿਤੂਅਮ।
ਸਭ ਥਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦੋਸਤ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਹਾਂ,
"I am your friend and well wisher at all places and in all situations, and I am your refuge;
ਯਾਵਰੀਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੋਖ਼ਾਸਤਗਾਰਿਤੂਅਮ।੨੭।
ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ ।
I am there to support you, and I am your avid fan." (27)
ਹਰਕਿਨਾਮਿਤੂਬਰਤਰੀਂਦਾਨਦ।
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ,
"Anyone who would try to elevate your name and make you famous,
ਅਜ਼ਦਿਲੋਜਾਂਬ-ਵਸਫ਼ਿਮਨਖ਼ਾਨਦ।੨੮।
ਉਹ ਦਿਲ ਜਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ ।
He would, in fact, be approbating Me with his heart and soul." (28)
ਮਨਊਰਾਜ਼ਾਤਿਖ਼ੁਦਨੁਮਾਇਮਬਾਜ਼।
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਪਰਮ ਅਪਾਰ ਜ਼ਾਤ ਵਿਖਾ,
Then, kindly show me Your Limitless Entity,
ਐਹਦਿਮਨਸਖ਼ਤਗੀਰਬਰਕੁਨਸਾਜ਼।੨੯।
ਮੇਰੇ ਔਖੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਖਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇ ।
And, thus make my difficult resolves and situations eased up. (29)
ਗਿਰਦਿਆਲਮਬਰਆਵਾਹਾਦੀਸ਼ੌ।
ਤੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਆ, ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ,
"You should come to this world and act like a guide and captain,
ਕਿਜਹਾਂਗ਼ੈਰਿਮਨਨਿਯਰਜ਼ਦਜੌ।੩੦।
ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਦੀ ਜੌਂ ਭਰ ਵੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ।
Because this world is not worth even a grain of barley without Me, the Akaalpurakh." (30)
ਦਰਹਕੀਕਤਮਨਮਚੂਰਾਹ-ਨੁਮਾ।
ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ,
"In reality, when I am your guide and steer,
ਤੂਜਹਾਂਰਾਬਪਾਇਖ਼ੁਦਪੈਮਾ।੩੧।
ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੰਧ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਕਾ ।
Then, you should traverse the journey of this world with your own feet." (31)
ਹਰਕਿਰਾਖ਼ਾਹਮਵਸ਼ਵਮਹਾਦੀ।
ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
"Whomsoever I like and I show him the direction in this world,
ਅਜ਼ਤੂਦਰਦਿਲਦਰ-ਆਰਮਸ਼ਸਾਦੀ।੩੨।
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ।
Then, for his sake, I bring elation and happiness in his heart." (32)
ਵਾਂਕਿਗੁਮਰਾਹਸਾਜ਼ਮਸ਼ਜ਼ਿਗ਼ਜ਼ਬ।
ਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਕਰੋਪ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਾ ਦਿਆਂ,
"Whomsoever I will misdirect and put him on a wrong track out of My indignation for him,
ਨ-ਰਸਦਅਜ਼ਹਦਾਇਤਿਤੂਬ-ਰੱਬ।੩੩।
ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਰੱਬ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਦਾ ।
He will not be able to reach Me, the Akaalpurakh, in spite of your advice and counsel." (33)
ਸ਼ੁਦਾਗੁਮਰਾਹਆਲਮੇਬੇਮਨ।
ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
This world is being misdirected and strayed without me,
ਸਾਹਿਰਾਂਗਸ਼ਤਾਅੰਦਜਾਦੂਇਮਨ।੩੪।
ਮੇਰੇ ਜਾਦੂ, ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ ।
My sorcery has become the sorcerer himself. (34)
ਮੁਰਦਗਾਂਰਾਕੁਨੰਦਜ਼ਿੰਦਾਹਮੀ।
ਉਹ (ਮੇਰੇ ਜਾਦੂ) ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
My charms and spells bring the dead back alive,
ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗਾਂਰਾਬਜਾਂਕੁਸ਼ੰਦਾਹਮੀ।੩੫।
ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
And, those who are living (in sin) kill them. (35)
ਆਤਿਸ਼ੇਰਾਕੁਨੰਦਆਬਵਸ਼।
ਉਹ (ਜਾਦੂ) ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
My charms transform the 'fire' into ordinary water,
ਬਰਸਰੇਆਬਜ਼ਨੰਦਆਤਿਸ਼।੩੬।
ਅਤੇ, ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
And, with the ordinary water, they extinguish and cool off the fires. (36)
ਹਰਚਿਹਖ਼ਾਹੰਦਮੀ-ਕੁਨੰਦਹਮਾਂ।
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ (ਮੇਰੇ ਜਾਦੂ) ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
My charms do whatever they like;
ਜੁਮਲਾਜਾਦੂਫ਼ਨਅੰਦਬਰਸਾਮਾਂ।੩੭।
ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ।
And, they mystify with their spell all material and non-material things. (37)
ਰਾਹਿਸ਼ਾਂਰਾਨੁਮਾਬ-ਸੂਇਮਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਲ ਮੋੜ,
Please divert their path in my direction,
ਕਿਪਜ਼ੀਰੰਦਗੁਫ਼ਤਗੂਇਮਨ।੩੮।
ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ।
So that they can adopt and acquisition my words and message. (38)
ਗ਼ੈਰਜ਼ਿਕਰਮਬ-ਜਾਦੁਏਨ-ਰਵੰਦ।
ਉਹ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਾਦੂ ਵਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ,
They do not go for any spells except My meditation,
ਜੁਜ਼ਦਰਿਮਨਬਜਾਨਬੇਨ-ਰਵੰਦ।੩੯।
ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ।
And, they do not move in any direction other than towards My door. (39)
ਕਿਜ਼ਿਦੋਜ਼ਖ਼ਸ਼ਵੰਦਰੁਸਤਾਹਮੇ।
ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨਰਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁੱਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
Because they have been spared of the Hades,
ਵਰਨਾਉਫ਼ਤੰਦਦਸਤ-ਬਸਤਾਹਮੇ।੪੦।
ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹੱਥੀ ਬੱਧੀ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
Otherwise, they would fall with their hands tied down. (40)
ਕਾਫ਼ਤਾਕਾਫ਼ਆਲਮੇਜੁਮਲਾ।
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ, ਇੱਕ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੱਕ,
This whole world, from one end to the other,
ਦਾਅਵਤਆਮੋਜ਼ੋਜ਼ਾਲਮੇਜੁਮਲਾ।੪੧।
ਸੱਦਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।
Is relaying the message that this world is cruel and corrupt. (41)
ਰੰਜੋਫ਼ਰਹਤਜ਼ਿਮਨਨਮੀ-ਦਾਨੰਦ।
ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਉਹ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ,
They do not realize any grief or happiness because of me,
ਹਮਾਅਜ਼ਗ਼ੈਰਿਮਨਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੰਦ।੪੨।
ਮੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹਨ ।
And, without me, they all are confused and perplexed. (42)
ਔਜੁਮਨਮੀ-ਕੁਨੰਦਵਅਜ਼ਅੰਜਮ।
ਉਹ ਇਕੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ,
They congregate and from the stars
ਬਰਸ਼ੁਮਾਰੰਦਰੂਜ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਦੀਓਗ਼ਮ।੪੩।
ਹਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਗ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਗਿਣਦੇ ਹਨ ॥
They count the number of days of sorrow and happiness. (43)
ਬਰਨਿਗਾਰੰਦਨਹਿਸੋਸਾਅਦਹਮੇ।
ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਮੰਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ,
Then they pen down their good and not-so-good fortunes in their horoscopes,
ਬਾਜ਼ਗੋਇੰਦਕਬਲੋਬਾਅਦਹਮੇ।੪੪।
ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਕਦੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਦੀ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਅਜੇਹਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
And say, sometimes before and other times afterwards, as: (44)
ਨੀਸਤਸ਼ਾਂਰਾਬ-ਜ਼ਿਕਰਇਸਤਿਕਲਾਲ।
ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਥਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਪੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ,
They are not firm and consistent in their meditation chores,
ਕਾਲਦਾਨੰਦਜੁਮਲਗਾਂਬੇ-ਹਾਲ।੪੫।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਲ ਬਾਤ ਬੇਹਾਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
And, they talk and project themselves like confused and perplexed persons. (45)
ਰੂਨੁਮਾਜੁਮਲਾਰਾਸੂਇਫ਼ਿਕਰਮ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਲ ਭਵਾ ਦੇ,
Divert their attention and face towards My meditation
ਕਿਨਦਾਰੰਦਦੋਸਤਜੁਜ਼ਜ਼ਿਕਰਮ।੪੬।
ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾ ਸਮਝਣ ।
So that they will not consider anything other than discourses about Me as their friend. (46)
ਤਾਹਮਾਕਾਰਿਸ਼ਾਂਨਿਕੋਸਾਜ਼ਮ।
ਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ, ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਹਾਰ, ਠੀਕ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ,
So that I could set their worldly tasks on the right path,
ਖ਼ਾਤਰਿਸ਼ਾਂਜ਼ਿਨੂਰਬਿਤਰਾਜ਼ਮ।੪੭।
ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਨੋ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਲੋ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਆਰ ੁਦਆਂ ।
And, I could improve and refine their inclinations and tendencies with the divine glow. (47)
ਮਨਤੁਰਾਆਫ਼ਰੀਦਮਅਜ਼ਪਏਆਂ।
ਮੈਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ,
I have created you for this purpose
ਕਿਸ਼ਵੀਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਬ-ਜੁਮਲਾਜਹਾਂ।੪੮।
ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਂ ।
So that you should be the leader to steer the whole world towrads the right path. (48)
ਹੁੱਬਿਗ਼ੈਰਅਜ਼ਜ਼ਮੀਰਿਸ਼ਾਂਬਜ਼ਦਾਇ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੂਈ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਕਢ ਦੇ,
You should dispel the love for dualism from their hearts and minds,
ਹਮਗਨਾਂਰਾਤੂਰਾਹਿਰਾਸਤਨੁਮਾਇ।੪੯।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਾ ਮਾਰਗ ਵਿਖਾ ਦੇ ।
And, you should direct them towards the true path. (49)
ਸ਼ਾਹਗੁਫ਼ਤਾਚਿਲਾਇਕਆਨਮ।
ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ (ਨਾਨਕ) ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਕੀ ਲਾਇਕ ਹਾਂ,
The Guru (Nanak) said, "How can I be so capable of this stupendous task
ਕਿਦਿਲਿਜੁਮਲਾਬਾਜ਼ਗਰਦਾਨਮ।੫੦।
ਕਿ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮੋੲ ਦਿਆਂ ।
That I should be able to divert the minds of everyone towards the true path." (50)
ਮਨਕੁਜਾਵਚੁਨੀਂਕਮਾਲਕੁਜਾ।
ਮੈਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਮਾਲ ਕਿੱਥੇ #
The Guru said, "I am no where near such a miracle,
ਮਨਕਿਹਵਫ਼ੱਰੇਜ਼ੁਲਜਲਾਲਕੁਜਾ।੫੧।
ਮੈਂ ਨਿਗੁਨਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਅਤੇ (ਰੱਬ) ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਸ਼ੋਕਤ ਕਿੱਥੇ#
I am lowly without any virtues compared to the grandiose and exquisiteness of the form of Akaalpurakh." (51)
ਲੇਕਹੁਕਮਤਕਸ਼ਮਬਜਾਨੇਬਦਿਲ।
ਪਰੰਤੂ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਹੈ,
"However, Your command is entirely acceptable to my heart and soul,
ਨਸ਼ਵਮਯੱਕਜ਼ਮਾਂਅਜ਼ੋਗ਼ਾਫ਼ਿਲ।੫੨।
ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਪੱਲ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਗਾਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ ।
And, I shall not be negligent of Your order even for a moment." (52)
ਹਾਦੀਓਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈਜੁਮਲਾਤੂਈ।
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਊ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਦੀ ਹੈਂ,
Only you are the guide to lead the people to the right path, and you are the mentor for all;
ਰਹਿਬਰੋਦਿਲ-ਗਿਰਾਮੀਇਜੁਮਲਾਤੂਈ।੫੩।
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ) ਮੋੜਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ।
You are the one who can lead the way and who can mold the minds of all people to your way of thinking. (53)
