O Ambika! Thou art the killer of the demon Jambh, the power of Kartikeya

ਮੁਰਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਜੂੜਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੨੬॥੨੪੫॥

ਜੁਆਲਾ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ, ਵਿਜਈ, ਲਾਸਯ ਨਾਚ ਨਚਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ (ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ)
O fire! the enchancer of bliss by conquering illusion.

ਜਯੰਤੀਨਮੋਮੰਗਲਾਕਾਲਕਾਯੰ॥
ਜਯੰਤੀ, ਮੰਗਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਿਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
Thou art the bestower of cheerfulness to all, the conqueror of all and the manifestation of Kal (death).
ਕਪਾਲੀਨਮੋਭਦ੍ਰਕਾਲੀਸਿਵਾਯੰ॥
ਕਪਾਲੀ, ਭਦ੍ਰਕਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
O Kapali! (the goddess carrying begging bowl), Shiva-Shakti! (the power of Shiva) and Bhadrakali!

ਸਵਾਹਾ (ਅਗਨੀਰੂ ਪਾ) ਸੁਧਾ (ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ-ਰੂਪਾ) ਅਤੇ ਸੀਤਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੨੮॥੨੪੭॥
Thou art pure fire-manifestation and also cold-incarnate, I salute Thee.28.247.

The source of the power of Hinglaj and Pinglaj, I salute Thee.
ਨਮੋਦੀਰਘਦਾੜਾਨਮੋਸਿਆਮਬਰਣੀ॥
ਲੰਬੀਆਂ ਦਾੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਕਾਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
O the one of the dreadful teeth, the black complexioned,

O Kamakhya and Durga! Thou art the cause and deed of Kaliyuga (the iron age).
ਪਰੀਪਦਮਿਨੀਪੂਰਣੀਸਰਬਇਛ੍ਯਾ॥
ਅਪੱਛਰਾ, ਪਦਮਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
Like Apsara (heavenly damsels) and the Padmini women, Thou art the fulfiller of all desires.
ਜਯਾਜੋਗਣੀਜਗਕਰਤਾਜਯੰਤੀ॥
(ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਜਿਤਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਯੋਗਿਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੱਗ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
Thou art the conqueror Yogini of all and performer of Yajnas (sacrifices).
ਸੁਭਾਸੁਆਮਣੀਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਜਾਸਤ੍ਰੂਹੰਤੀ॥੩੧॥੨੫੦॥

Perfect, maya and unconquerable.
ਅਰੂਪੰਅਨੂਪੰਅਨਾਮੰਅਠਾਮੰ॥
ਰੂਪ-ਰਹਿਤ, ਉਪਮਾ-ਰਹਿਤ, ਨਾਮ ਰਹਿਤ, ਸਥਾਨ-ਰਹਿਤ,
Thou art formless, unique, nameless and abodeless.
ਅਭੀਅੰਅਜੀਤੰਮਹਾਧਰਮਧਾਮੰ॥੩੨॥੨੫੧॥
ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ, ਜਿਤੀ ਨਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈਂ ॥੩੨॥੨੫੧॥
Thou art fearless, unconquerable and treasure of the great Dharma.32.251.
ਅਛੇਦੰਅਭੇਦੰਅਕਰਮੰਸੁਧਰਮੰ॥
(ਤੂੰ) ਅਛੇਦ (ਨ ਛੇਦੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ) ਅਭੇਦ, ਅਕਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਧਰਮ ਹੈਂ,
Thou art indestructible, indistinguishable, deedless and Dhrma-incarnate.
ਨਮੋਬਾਣਪਾਣੀਧਰੇਚਰਮਬਰਮੰ॥
ਬਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਚ-ਧਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
O the holder of the arrow in Thy hand and wearer of the armour, I salute Thee.
ਅਜੇਯੰਅਭੇਯੰਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਨਿਤ੍ਯੰ॥
ਅਜਿਤ, ਅਭੇਦ, ਨਿਰਾਕਾਰ, ਸਦੀਵੀ ਹੈ;

Thou art Parbati, fulfiller of the wishes, the power of Krishna
ਬਲੀਬੀਰਣੀਬਾਵਨਾਜਗ੍ਯਾਜੁਆਲੀ॥
ਬਲਵਾਨ, ਬੀਰਣੀ, ਬਾਵਨੀ, ਯੱਗ ਦੀ ਅਗਨੀ (ਦੀ ਪਵਿਤਰਤਾ) ਵਾਲੀ (ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ);
Most powerful, the power of Vamana and art like the fire of the Yajna (sacrifice).
ਨਮੋਸਤ੍ਰੁਚਰਬਾਇਣੀਗਰਬਹਰਣੀ॥
ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਬ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਤੋੜਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
O the chewer of the enemies and masher of their pride
ਨਮੋਤੋਖਣੀਸੋਖਣੀਸਰਬਭਰਣੀ॥੩੪॥੨੫੩॥
ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸੁਕਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੩੪॥੨੫੩॥
Sustainer and destroyer in Thy pleasure, I salute Thee.34.253.
ਪਿਲੰਗੀਪਵੰਗੀਨਮੋਚਰਚਿਤੰਗੀ॥
ਸ਼ੇਰ ਉਤੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਜੇ ਜਾਣ ਯੋਗ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
O the rider of the steed-like lion
ਨਮੋਭਾਵਨੀਭੂਤਹੰਤਾਭੜਿੰਗੀ॥
ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਰੂਪਾ, ਭੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
O Bhavani of beautiful limbs! Thou art the destroyer of all engaged in the war.
ਨਮੋਭੀਮਿਸਰੂਪਾਨਮੋਲੋਕਮਾਤਾ॥
ਭਿਆਨਕ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ; ਜਗਤ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
O the mother of the universe having large body!
ਭਵੀਭਾਵਨੀਭਵਿਖ੍ਯਾਤਬਿਧਾਤਾ॥੩੫॥੨੫੪॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ, ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਰੂਪਾ, ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੩੫॥੨੫੪॥
Thou art the power of Yama, the giver of the fruit of actions performed in the world, Thou art also the power of Brahma! I salute Thee.35.254.
ਪ੍ਰਭੀਪੂਰਣੀਪਰਮਰੂਪੰਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੀ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭੁਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਪਰਿਪੂਰਨ, ਪਰਮ ਪਵਿਤਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ (ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ);
O the most pure power of God!
ਪਰੀਪੋਖਣੀਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੀਗਇਤ੍ਰੀ॥
ਅਪੱਛਰਾ, ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀ (ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ);
Thou art the maya and Gayatri, sustaining all.
ਜਟੀਜੁਆਲਪਰਚੰਡਮੁੰਡੀਚਮੁੰਡੀ॥
ਜੱਟਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲੀ, ਚੰਡ-ਮੁੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਚਮੁੰਡੀ (ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ);
Thou art Chamunda, the wearer of the necklace of head, Thou art also the fire of the matted locks of Shiva
ਬਰੰਦਾਇਣੀਦੁਸਟਖੰਡੀਅਖੰਡੀ॥੩੬॥੨੫੫॥
ਵਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਖੰਡਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਖੰਡ-ਸਰੂਪਾ (ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ) ॥੩੬॥੨੫੫॥
Thou art the donor of boons and destroyer of tyrants, but Thou Thyself ever remain indivisible.36.255.
ਸਬੈਸੰਤਉਬਾਰੀਬਰੰਬ੍ਯੂਹਦਾਤਾ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਬਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸਾਰਿਆਂ (ਬ੍ਯੂਹ) ਨੂੰ ਵਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ (ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ);
O the Saviour of all the saints and the donor of boons to all
ਨਮੋਤਾਰਣੀਕਾਰਣੀਲੋਕਮਾਤਾ॥
(ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਕਾਰਨ-ਸਰੂਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਮਾਤਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ;
The one who ferries across all over the terrible sea of life, the primary cause of all causes, O Bhavani! The mother of the universe.
ਨਮਸਤ੍ਯੰਨਮਸਤ੍ਯੰਨਮਸਤ੍ਯੰਭਵਾਨੀ॥
ਹੇ! ਭਵਾਨੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ।
I salute Thee again and again, O the manifestation of the sword!
ਸਦਾਰਾਖਲੈਮੁਹਿਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕੈਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨੀ॥੩੭॥੨੫੬॥
ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ! ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰ ॥੩੭॥੨੫੬॥

Description of the Praise of Chandi Charitra:
ਭੁਜੰਗਪ੍ਰਯਾਤਛੰਦ॥
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ:
BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਭਰੈਜੋਗਣੀਪਤ੍ਰਚਉਸਠਚਾਰੰ॥
ਚੌਂਠ ਜੋਗਣਾਂ ਨੇ (ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ) ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ('ਚਾਰੰ') ਖੱਪਰ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ
The Yoginis have filled their beautiful vessels (with blood),
ਚਲੀਠਾਮਠਾਮੰਡਕਾਰੰਡਕਾਰੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਡਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਡਕਾਰ ਮਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ਚਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
And are moving at various places here and there belching thereby.
ਭਰੇਨੇਹਗੇਹੰਗਏਕੰਕਬੰਕੰ॥
(ਆਪਣੇ) ਘਰਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਨੇਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਭਿਆਨਕ ('ਬੰਕੰ') ਕਾਂ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ
The comely crows and vultures having liking for that place have also departed for their homes,
ਰੁਲੇਸੂਰਬੀਰੰਅਹਾੜੰਨ੍ਰਿਸੰਕੰ॥੧॥੨੫੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ (ਅਹਾੜੰ) ਵਿਚ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਰੁਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੧॥੨੫੭॥
And the warriors have been left to decay in the battlefield undoubtedly.1.257.
ਚਲੇਨਾਰਦਉਹਾਥਿਬੀਨਾਸੁਹਾਏ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਬੀਣਾ ਲਏ ਨਾਰਦ ਵੀ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ
Narada is moving with vina in his hand,
ਬਨੇਬਾਰਦੀਡੰਕਡਉਰੂਬਜਾਏ॥
ਬਲਦ ਵਾਲਾ (ਬਾਰਦੀ-ਸ਼ਿਵ) ਡਕ-ਡਕ ਡਉਰੂ ਵਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ,
And Shiva, the rider of the Bull, playing his tabor, is looking elegant.
ਗਿਰੇਬਾਜਿਗਾਜੀਗਜੀਬੀਰਖੇਤੰ॥
ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ('ਗਾਜੀ') ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ।
In the battlefield, the thundering heroes have fallen alongwith the elephants and horses
ਰੁਲੇਤਛਮੁਛੰਨਚੇਭੂਤਪ੍ਰੇਤੰ॥੨॥੨੫੮॥
ਵੱਢੇ ਟੁੱਕੇ (ਮੁਰਦੇ) ਰੁਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਨਚ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੨॥੨੫੮॥
And seeing the chopped heroes rolling in dust, the ghosts and goblins are dancing.2.258.
ਨਚੇਬੀਰਬੈਤਾਲਅਧੰਕਮਧੰ॥
ਅੱਧੇ ਕਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਧੜ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਰ-ਬੈਤਾਲ ਨਚ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ; (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ
The blind trunks and brave Batital are dancing and the fighting warriors alongwith the dancers,
ਬਧੇਬਧਗੋਪਾਗੁਲਿਤ੍ਰਾਣਬਧੰ॥
(ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਗੋਪੀਏ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੇ ਦਸਤਾਨੇ ('ਗੁਲਿਤ੍ਰਾਣ') ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ;
With the small bells tied around waists have also been killed.
ਭਏਸਾਧੁਸੰਬੂਹਭੀਤੰਅਭੀਤੇ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ;
All the resolute assemblies of saints have become fearless.
ਨਮੋਲੋਕਮਾਤਾਭਲੇਸਤ੍ਰੁਜੀਤੇ॥੩॥੨੫੯॥
ਲੋਕ-ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਨੇ) ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਜਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੨੫੯॥
O the mother of the people! Thou hast performed a nice task by conquering the enemies, I salute Thee.3.259.
ਪੜੇਮੂੜਯਾਕੋਧਨੰਧਾਮਬਾਢੇ॥
(ਜੋ ਕੋਈ) ਮੂਰਖ ਵੀ ਇਸ (ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ) ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹੇਗਾ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਘਰ ਧੰਨ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ;
If any foolish person recites this (poem), his wealth and property will increase here.
ਸੁਨੈਸੂਮਸੋਫੀਲਰੈਜੁਧਗਾਢੈ॥
(ਜੇ ਕੋਈ) ਸੋਫੀ (ਪਰਹੇਜ਼ਗਾਰ) ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੂਮ (ਕੰਜੂਸ) ਸੁਣੇਗਾ, (ਉਹ ਵੀਰ-ਰਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਕਾਰਨ) ਤਕੜਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰੇਗਾ;
If anyone, not participating in the war, listens to it, he will be bestowed with the power of fighting. (in battle).
ਜਗੈਰੈਣਿਜੋਗੀਜਪੈਜਾਪਯਾਕੋ॥
(ਜੋ) ਯੋਗੀ ਰਾਤ ਜਾਗ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰੇਗਾ,
And that Yogi, who repeats it, keeping awake throughout the night,
ਧਰੈਪਰਮਜੋਗੰਲਹੈਸਿਧਤਾਕੋ॥੪॥੨੬੦॥
(ਉਹ) ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ ॥੪॥੨੬੦॥
He will attain supreme Yoga and miraculous powers.4.260.
ਪੜੈਯਾਹਿਬਿਦ੍ਯਾਰਥੀਬਿਦ੍ਯਾਹੇਤੰ॥
ਵਿਦਿਆ ਲਈ (ਜੋ) ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹੇਗਾ,
Any student, who reads it for the attainment of knowledge,
ਲਹੈਸਰਬਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਨਕੋਮਦਚੇਤੰ॥
(ਉਹ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏਗਾ।
He will become knowledgeable of all the Shastras.
ਜਪੈਜੋਗਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸਬੈਰਾਗਕੋਈ॥
(ਜੋ) ਕੋਈ ਯੋਗੀ, ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਅਥਵਾ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਜਪੈਗਾ,
Anyone either a Yogi or a Sanyasi or a Vairagi, whosoever reads it.
ਤਿਸੈਸਰਬਪੁੰਨ੍ਯਾਨਕੋਪੁੰਨਿਹੋਈ॥੫॥੨੬੧॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪੁੰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੁੰਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੫॥੨੬੧॥
He will be blessed with all the virtues.5.261.
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥
ਦੋਹਰਾ:
DOHRA
ਜੇਜੇਤੁਮਰੇਧਿਆਨਕੋਨਿਤਉਠਿਧਿਐਹੈਸੰਤ॥
(ਹੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਮਾਤਾ!) ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੰਤ ਨਿੱਤ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਗੇ,
All those saints, who will ever meditate on Thee
ਅੰਤਲਹੈਗੇਮੁਕਤਿਫਲੁਪਾਵਹਿਗੇਭਗਵੰਤ॥੬॥੨੬੨॥
(ਉਹ) ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਰੂਪੀ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਗੇ, (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ) ॥੬॥੨੬੨॥
They will attain salvation at the end and will realize the Lord.6.262.
ਇਤਿਸ੍ਰੀਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਨਾਟਕੇਚੰਡੀਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇਚੰਡੀਚਰਿਤ੍ਰਉਸਤਤਿਬਰਨਨੰਨਾਮਅਸਟਮੋਧਿਆਯਸੰਪੂਰਨਮਸਤੁਸੁਭਮਸਤੁ॥੮॥
ਇਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ-ਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਚੰਡੀ-ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ 'ਚੰਡੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ-ਉਸਤਤ-ਵਰਣਨ' ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਠਵਾਂ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ॥੮॥
Here ends the Eighth Chapter entitled ‘Description of the Praise of Chandi Charitra’ in BACHITTAR NATAK.8.

The Lord is One and the Victory is of the Lord.

ਹੁਣ ਵਾਰ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਕੀ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ:
The Heroic Poem of Sri Bhagauti Ji (Goddess Durga).
ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ੧੦॥
(By) The Tenth King (Guru).
ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮਭਗਉਤੀਸਿਮਰਿਕੈਗੁਰੁਨਾਨਕਲਈਂਧਿਆਇ॥
(ਸਭ ਤੋਂ) ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਭਗੌਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
In the beginning I remember Bhagauti, the Lord (Whose symbol is the sword and then I remember Guru Nanak.
ਫਿਰਿਅੰਗਦਗੁਰਤੇਅਮਰਦਾਸੁਰਾਮਦਾਸੈਹੋਈਂਸਹਾਇ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਅੰਗਦ, (ਗੁਰੂ) ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਅਤੇ (ਗੁਰੂ) ਰਾਮਦਾਸ (ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ) ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਣ।
Then I remember Guru Arjan, Guru Amar Das and Guru Ram Das, may they be helpful to me.
ਅਰਜਨਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦਨੋਸਿਮਰੌਸ੍ਰੀਹਰਿਰਾਇ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ) ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ, (ਗੁਰੂ) ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਅਤੇ (ਗੁਰੂ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Then I remember Guru Arjan, Guru Hargobind and Guru Har Rai.
ਸ੍ਰੀਹਰਿਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਧਿਆਈਐਜਿਸੁਡਿਠੈਸਭੁਦੁਖੁਜਾਇ॥
(ਫਿਰ ਗੁਰੂ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਧਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
(After them) I remember Guru Har Kishan, by whose sight all the sufferings vanish.
ਤੇਗਬਹਾਦਰਸਿਮਰਿਐਘਰਿਨਉਨਿਧਿਆਵੈਧਾਇ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ) ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਨੌ ਨਿੱਧਾਂ (ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ) (ਘਰ ਵਿਚ) ਭਜਦੀਆਂ ਚਲੀਆਂ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Then I do remember Guru Tegh Bahadur, though whose Grace the nine treasures come running to my house.
ਸਭਥਾਈਂਹੋਇਸਹਾਇ॥੧॥
(ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਹੋਣ ॥੧॥
May they be helpful to me everywhere.1.
ਪਉੜੀ॥
ਖੰਡਾਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈਸਾਜਿਕੈਜਿਨਿਸਭੁਸੈਸਾਰੁਉਪਾਇਆ॥
ਪਰਮ-ਸੱਤਾ ਨੇ (ਸਭ ਤੋਂ) ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਖੜਗ (ਰੂਪੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ) ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਜ ਕੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
At first the Lord created the double-edged sword and then He created the whole world.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਬਿਸਨੁਮਹੇਸਸਾਜਿਕੁਦਰਤੀਦਾਖੇਲੁਰਚਾਇਬਣਾਇਆ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਕੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਰਚ ਕੇ ਬਣਾਈ।
He created Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva and then created the play of Nature.
ਸਿੰਧਪਰਬਤਮੇਦਨੀਬਿਨੁਥੰਮ੍ਹਾਗਗਨੁਰਹਾਇਆ॥
ਸਮੁੰਦਰ, ਪਰਬਤ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ (ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ) ਬਿਨਾ ਥੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਿਤ (ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਕੀਤੀ)।
He created the oceans, mountains and the earth made the sky stable without columns.
ਸਿਰਜੇਦਾਨੋਦੇਵਤੇਤਿਨਅੰਦਰਿਬਾਦੁਰਚਾਇਆ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਦੈਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸਿਰਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੈਰ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
He created the demons and gods and caused strife between them.
ਤੈਹੀਦੁਰਗਾਸਾਜਿਕੈਦੈਤਾਦਾਨਾਸੁਕਰਾਇਆ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ) ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ।
O Lord! By creating Durga, Thou hast caused the destruction of demons.
ਤੈਥੋਂਹੀਬਲੁਰਾਮੁਲੈਨਾਲਿਬਾਣਾਦਹਸਿਰੁਘਾਇਆ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਬਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਵਣ ਦਾ ਵੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
Rama received power from Thee and he killed Ravana with arrows.
ਤੈਥੋਂਹੀਬਲੁਕ੍ਰਿਸਨੁਲੈਕੰਸੁਕੇਸੀਪਕੜਿਗਿਰਾਇਆ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਬਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ (ਅਰਥਾਂਤਰ ਕੇਸੀ ਪਹਿਲਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ) ਡਿਗਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
Krishna received power from Thee and he threw down Kansa by catching his hair.
ਬਡੇਬਡੇਮੁਨਿਦੇਵਤੇਕਈਜੁਗਤਿਨੀਤਨੁਤਾਇਆ॥
ਵਡਿਆਂ ਵਡਿਆਂ ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਤਕ ਤਪਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ,
The great sages and gods, even practising great austerities for several ages;
ਕਿਨੀਤੇਰਾਅੰਤੁਨਪਾਇਆ॥੨॥
(ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੨॥
None could know Thy end.2.
ਸਾਧੂਸਤਿਜੁਗੁਬੀਤਿਆਅਧਸੀਲੀਤ੍ਰੇਤਾਆਇਆ॥
ਸਾਧੂ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਤਿਯੁਗ ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਸ਼ੀਲ (ਉੱਤਮਤਾ) ਵਾਲਾ ਤ੍ਰੇਤਾ-ਯੁਗ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
The saintly Satyuga (the age of Truth) passed away and the Treta age of semi-righteousness came.
