ਬਿਸਨੁਪਦਪੁੰਨ੍ਯਾਕੀ॥ਦੇਵਪਲਾਸੀ॥ਚਰਪਦਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਹਜ਼ੂਰ॥
The Khalsa is my special embodiment;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਰੂਪਹੈਖ਼ਾਸ॥
The Khalsa is my special embodiment;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮਹਿਹਉਂਕਰਉਂਨਿਵਾਸ॥
I dwell within the Khalsa.
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਰੂਪਹੈਅੰਗ॥
Khalsa is my chief organ
ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇਕੇਹਉਂਬਸਤਿਸਦਸੰਗ॥੧॥
always I live within the Khalsa. 519
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਇਸ਼ਟਸੁਹਿਰਦ॥
The Khalsa is the object of my devotion;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਕਹੀਅਤਬਿਰਦ॥
the Khalsa proclaims my reputation.
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਪੱਛਅਰੁਪਾਦ॥
The Khalsa is my wings and my feet;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸੁਖਅਹਿਲਾਦ॥੨॥
the Khalsa is the offspring in whom I delight. 520
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਮਿਤ੍ਰਸਖਾਈ॥
The Khalsa is my encouraging friend;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮਾਤਪਿਤਾਸੁਖਦਾਈ॥
the Khalsa is my parents who give me joy.
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੀਸ਼ੋਭਾਸ਼ੀਲ॥
The Khalsa is my virtuous delight,
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਬੰਧੁਸਖ਼ਾਸਦਡੀਲ॥੩॥
ever tied together in friend-ship with me. 521
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੀਜਤਿਅਰੁਪਤਿ॥
The Khalsa is my virtue and honour;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਸੋਮਾਕੌਉਤਪਤਿ॥
from the Khalsa I took birth.
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਭਵਨਭੰਡਾਰਿ॥
The Khalsa is my source of supply;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇਕਰਿਮੇਰੋਸਦਕਾਰਿ॥੪॥
through the Khalsa I have performed every deed. 522
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸ੍ਵਜਨਪਰਿਵਾਰੁ॥
The Khalsa is my friend and family;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਕਰਤਿਉਧਾਰੁ॥
the Khalsa works my redemption.
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਪਿੰਡਪ੍ਰਾਣ॥
The Khalsa is the breath of my body;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੀਜਾਨਕੀਜਾਨ॥੫॥
the Khalsa is my very life. 523
ਮਾਨਮਹਤਮੇਰੋਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਸਹੀ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸ੍ਵਾਰਥਕਹੀ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਕਰੈਨ੍ਰਿਵਾਹ॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਦੇਹਅਰੁਸਾਹ॥੬॥
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਧਰਮਅਰੁਕਰਮ॥
The Khalsa is my duty (dharam) and my destiny (karam);
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਭੇਦਨਿਜਮਰਮ॥
the Khalsa is my deepest secret.
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਪੂਰਾ॥
The Khalsa is my perfect Satguru;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਸੱਜਨਸੂਰਾ॥੭॥
the Khalsa is my family of the noble brave. 524
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋਬੁਧਿਅਰੁਗਿਆਨ॥
The Khalsa is my learning and intelligence;
ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇਕਾਹਉਂਧਰਉਂਧਿਆਨ॥
on the Khalsa I constantly reflect.
ਉਪਮਾਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਜਾਤਿਨਕਹੀ॥
No other body is there which can be compared with the Khalsa,
ਜਿਹਵਾਏਕਪਾਰੁਨਹਿਲਹੀ॥੮॥
none which may reach its furthest limit. 525
ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਰਸਨਸਾਰਦਸੀਬੁਧਿ॥
If I had the tongues of Shesh[nag] and the knowledge of Devi
ਤਦਪਿਨਉਪਮਾਬਰਨਤਿਸੁਧਿ॥
yet would I fail to praise it adequately.
ਯਾਮਹਿਰੰਚਿਨਮਿਥਿਆਭਾਖੀ॥
No falsehood have I uttered,
ਗੁਰਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਗੁਰਨਾਨਕਸਾਖੀ॥੯॥
as God and Guru Nanak are my witnesses. 526
ਰੋਮਰੋਮਜੇਰਸਨਾਪਾਂਉ॥
If one had as many tongues as the hairs on one's body,
ਤਦਪਿਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਜਸਤਹਿਗਾਊਂ॥
yet they would still be insufficient to sing the praises of the Khalsa.
ਹਉਖ਼ਾਲਸੇਕੋਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਮੇਰੋ॥
I am the Khalsa, the Khalsa is mine;
ਓਤਪੋਤਿਸਾਗਰਬੂੰਦੇਰੋ॥੧੦॥ਦਸਕ॥
the relationship is as the ocean and its individual drops of water.
ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖਕੀਫ਼ੌਜ॥
The Khalsa is the army of Akal Purakh;
ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਕੀਮੌਜ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥੪੫੮॥੯੯੦॥੩੩੦੯॥
The Khalsa emerged as the joy of God! 527
ਜਬਲਗਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਰਹੇਨਿਆਰਾ॥
ਤਬਲਗਤੇਜਕੀਉਮੈਂਸਾਰਾ॥
ਜਬਇਹਗਹੈਬਿਪਰਨਕੀਰੀਤ॥
ਮੈਂਨਕਰੋਂਇਨਕੀਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ॥
