ਸਬੈਸਿਧਹਰਤਾ॥੩੪੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੪੭॥
Ever remembering the Lord and destroyers of others uptil ocean 120.347.
ਅਰੀਲੇਅਰਾਰੇ॥
(ਦੇਵੇਂ) ਅੜੀਅਲ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਦਲ ਹਨ।
ਹਠੀਲਜੁਝਾਰੇ॥
ਹਠ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਕੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਹਨ।
They are the ones who resist, who fight persistently,
ਕਟੀਲੇਕਰੂਰੰ॥
ਕਟ ਸੁਟਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਠੋਰ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਰੈਸਤ੍ਰੁਚੂਰੰ॥੩੪੮॥
ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੪੮॥
Who are severe and cruel and are the smashers of the enemies.121.348.

ਜੋਇਨਜੀਤਿਸਕੌਨਹਿਭਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
If I cannot conquer them, I
ਤਉਮੈਜੋਰਚਿਤਾਹਿਜਰਾਈ॥
ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਚਿਖਾ ਬਾਲ ਕੇ ਸੜ ਮਰਾਂਗਾ।
Shall burn myself on the funeral pure
ਮੈਇਨਕਹਿਮੁਨਿਜੀਤਿਨਸਾਕਾ॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਹੇ ਮੁਨੀ! ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
O sage! I could not conquer them
ਅਬਮੁਰਬਲਪੌਰਖਸਬਥਾਕਾ॥੩੪੯॥
ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਸਭ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੩੪੯॥
My strength and courage have weakened.122.349.
ਐਸਭਾਤਿਮਨਬੀਚਬਿਚਾਰਾ॥
(ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ ਨੇ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਪ੍ਰਗਟਸਭਾਸਬਸੁਨਤਉਚਾਰਾ॥
ਸਾਰੀ ਸਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ (ਇਹ) ਕਥਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
Thinking in this way in his mind, the king apparently addressed all,
ਮੈਬਡਭੂਪਬਡੋਬਰਿਆਰੂ॥
ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ।
ਮੈਜੀਤ੍ਯੋਇਹਸਭਸੰਸਾਰੂ॥੩੫੦॥
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਮੈਂ ਜਿਤਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੩੫੦॥
“I am a very great king and I have conquered the whole world.123.350.
ਜਿਨਿਮੋਕੋਇਹਬਾਤਬਤਾਈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਦਸੀ ਹੈ, (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ)
“He who has told me to conquer both these warriors VIVEK and AVIVEK,
ਤਿਨਿਮੁਹਿਜਾਨੁਠਗਉਰੀਲਾਈ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਠਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
He has agitated me and driven my life to deception
ਏਦ੍ਵੈਬੀਰਬਡੇਬਰਿਆਰਾ॥
ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯੋਧੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹਨ।
Both of them are mighty warriors
ਇਨਜੀਤੇਜੀਤੋਸੰਸਾਰਾ॥੩੫੧॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਜਿਤਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਜਿਤ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੫੧॥
The whole world is conquered, on conquering them.124.351.
ਅਬਮੋਤੇਏਈਜਿਨਿਜਾਈ॥
ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ।
ਕਹਿਮੁਨਿਮੋਹਿਕਥਾਸਮਝਾਈ॥
ਮੁਨੀ ਨੇ (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਕਥਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
“Now they will not go away from me, O sage! describe them to me with clarity
ਅਬਮੈਦੇਖਿਬਨਾਵੌਚਿਖਾ॥
ਹੁਣ ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਚਿਖਾ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ
ਪੈਠੌਬੀਚਅਗਨਿਕੀਸਿਖਾ॥੩੫੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਅਗਨੀ ਦੀ ਲਾਟ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੩੫੨॥
“Now I prepare my own funeral pyre within your view, and sit within the fire-flames.”125.352.
ਚਿਖਾਬਨਾਇਸਨਾਨਹਿਕਰਾ॥
(ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਚਿਖਾ ਬਣਾਈ, (ਫਿਰ) ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ
ਸਭਤਨਿਬਸਤ੍ਰਤਿਲੋਨਾਧਰਾ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੇਲ ਵਿਚ ਤਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
After preparing the funeral pyre, he took bath and wore the garments of deep orange colour on his body
ਬਹੁਬਿਧਿਲੋਗਹਟਕਿਕਰਿਰਹਾ॥
(ਸਾਰੇ) ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਕਦੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ
ਚਟਪਟਕਰਿਚਰਨਨਭੀਗਹਾ॥੩੫੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੈਰ ਵੀ ਪਕੜੇ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤਰਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ) ॥੩੫੩॥
Many people forbade him and even fell at his feet.126.353.
ਹੀਰਚੀਰਦੈਬਿਧਵਤਦਾਨਾ॥
ਹੀਰਿਆਂ, ਬਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਧੀ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ
ਮਧਿਕਟਾਸਕਰਾਅਸਥਾਨਾ॥
ਅਤੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਕਟਾਸ ਰਾਜ (ਤੀਰਥ) ਵਿਚ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
Giving in charity various types of ornaments and garments, the king prepared a seat within the pyre
ਭਾਤਿਅਨਕਤਨਜ੍ਵਾਲਜਰਾਈ॥
ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਸਾੜਨ ਲਈ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ ਬਾਲੀ,
ਜਰਤਨਭਈਜ੍ਵਾਲਸੀਅਰਾਈ॥੩੫੪॥
ਪਰ ਅੱਗ ਨਾ ਬਲੀ, ਠੰਢੀ ਪੈ ਗਈ ॥੩੫੪॥
He burnt his body with various kinds of fires, but the flames became cold instead of burning him.127.354.

TOMAR STANZA
ਕਰਿਕੋਪਪਾਰਸਰਾਇ॥
ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ
ਕਰਿਆਪਿਅਗਨਿਜਰਾਇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ ਬਾਲ ਕੇ (ਚਿਖਾ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਈ)।
Getting infuriated, Parasnath burnt the fire in his hand,
ਸੋਭਈਸੀਤਲਜ੍ਵਾਲ॥
ਉਹ ਅਗਨੀ ਠੰਡੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ
ਅਤਿਕਾਲਰੂਪਕਰਾਲ॥੩੫੫॥
ਜੋ ਅਤਿ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕਾਲ ਰੂਪ ਸੀ ॥੩੫੫॥
which was dreadful in sight, but became cold there.128.355.
ਤਤਜੋਗਅਗਨਿਨਿਕਾਰਿ॥
ਤਦ (ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ ਨੇ) ਯੋਗ ਅਗਨੀ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ (ਚਿਖਾ ਬਾਲੀ)
ਅਤਿਜ੍ਵਲਤਰੂਪਅਪਾਰਿ॥
ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਪਾਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਭੜਕ ਪਈ।
Then he got emerged the Yoga-fire, which was burning dreadfully
ਤਬਕੀਅਸਆਪਨਦਾਹ॥
ਤਦ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ (ਸ਼ਰੀਰ) ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਪੁਰਿਲਖਤਸਾਹਨਸਾਹਿ॥੩੫੬॥
(ਸਾਰਾ) ਨਗਰ ਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ (ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੫੬॥
He killed himself with that fire and the people of the city continued to see that great king.129.356.
ਤਬਜਰੀਅਗਨਿਬਿਸੇਖ॥
ਤਦ (ਫਿਰ) ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਬਲ ਪਈ।
ਤ੍ਰਿਣਕਾਸਟਘਿਰਤਅਸੇਖ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ) ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੱਖ, ਲਕੜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਘਿਓ (ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ)।
Then with many grass-blades, the faggots alongwith ghee (clarified butter),
ਤਬਜਰ੍ਯੋਤਾਮਹਿਰਾਇ॥
ਤਦ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਰਾਜਾ (ਪਾਰਸ ਨਾਥ) ਸੜ ਗਿਆ।
ਭਏਭਸਮਅਦਭੁਤਕਾਇ॥੩੫੭॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਅਦਭੁਤ ਦੇਹ ਭਸਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੩੫੭॥
The flames of fire arose, in which the king was burnt and his body was reduced to ashes.130.357.
ਕਈਦ੍ਯੋਸਬਰਖਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ॥
ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤਕ ਚਿਖਾ
ਸਲਜਰਾਜੋਰਮਹਾਨ॥
('ਸਲ') ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਲਦੀ ਰਹੀ।
That pyre continued to burn for several years, when the body of the king was reduced to ashes
ਭਈਭੂਤਭਸਮੀਦੇਹ॥
(ਫਿਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ) ਦੇਹ ਸੜ ਗਈ
ਧਨਧਾਮਛਾਡ੍ਯੋਨੇਹ॥੩੫੮॥
ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਬਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੩੫੮॥
And he abandoned the attachment of wealth and place.131.358.
ੴਸਤਿਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
The Lord is One and He can be attained through the grace of the true Guru.
ਰਾਗੁਰਾਮਕਲੀਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ੧੦॥
Ramkali. OF THE TENTH KING
ਰੇਮਨਐਸੋਕਰਿਸੰਨਿਆਸਾ॥
ਹੇ ਮਨ! (ਤੂੰ) ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ।
O mind! the asceticism be practised in this way:
ਬਨਸੇਸਦਨਸਭੈਕਰਿਸਮਝਹੁਮਨਹੀਮਾਹਿਉਦਾਸਾ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਸਮਝੋ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਸਦਾ) ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ।
Consider your house as the forest and remain unattached within yourself…..Pause.
ਜਤਕੀਜਟਾਜੋਗਕੋਮੱਜਨੁਨੇਮਕੇਨਖੁਨਬਢਾਓ॥
ਜਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ, ਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਨੌਂਹ ਵਧਾ ਲਵੋ।
Consider continence as the matted hair, Yoga as the ablution and daily observances as your nails,
ਗਿਆਨੁਗੁਰੂਆਤਮਉਪਦੇਸਹੁਨਾਮਬਿਭੂਤਿਲਗਾਓ॥੧॥
ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ (ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਦੀ ਬਿਭੂਤ (ਸੁਆਹ) ਲਗਾਓ ॥੧॥
Consider the knowledge as the preceptor giving lessons to you and apply the Name of the Lord as ashes.1.
ਅਲਪਅਹਾਰੁਸੁਲਪਸੀਨਿੰਦ੍ਰਾਦਯਾਛਿਮਾਤਨਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ॥
ਥੋੜਾ ਆਹਾਰ, ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਨੀਂਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਖਿਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਰੋ।
Eat less and sleep less, cherish mercy and forgiveness;
ਸੀਲਸੰਤੋਖਸਦਾਨਿਰਬਾਹਿਬੋਹ੍ਵੈਬੋਤ੍ਰਿਗੁਣਅਤੀਤਿ॥੨॥
ਸ਼ੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਭਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲਿਪਤ ਰਹਿ ॥੨॥
Practise gentleness and contentment and remain free from three modes.2.
ਕਾਮਕ੍ਰੋਧਹੰਕਾਰਲੋਭਹਠਮੋਹਨਮਨਸਿਉਲ੍ਯਾਵੈ॥
ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਹੰਕਾਰ, ਲੋਭ, ਹਠ, ਮੋਹ, ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਲਿਆ।
Keep your mind unattached from lust, anger, greed, insistence and infatuation,
ਤਬਹੀਆਤਮਤਤਕੌਦਰਸੈਪਰਮਪੁਰਖੁਕਹਪਾਵੈ॥੩॥੧॥
ਤਦ ਹੀ ਆਤਮ ਤੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਸਕੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ॥੩॥੧॥
Then you will visualize the supreme essence and realise the supreme Purusha.3.1.
ਰਾਮਕਲੀਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ੧੦॥

ਰੇਮਨਇਹਬਿਧਿਜੋਗੁਕਮਾਓ॥
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਯੋਗ ਕਮਾਓ।
O Mind! the Yoga be practised in this way:
ਸਿੰਙੀਸਾਚੁਅਕਪਟਕੰਠੁਲਾਧਿਆਨੁਬਿਭੂਤਿਚੜ੍ਹਾਓ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਸਚ ਦੀ ਸਿੰਗੀ, ਅਕਪਟ ਦਾ ਕੈਂਠਾ, ਧਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਭੂਤੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ।
Consider the Truth as the horn, sincerity the necklace and meditation as ashes to be applied to your body…...Pause.
ਤਾਂਤੀਗਹੁਆਤਮਬਸਿਕਰਿਕੀਭਿੱਛਾਨਾਮੁਅਧਾਰੰ॥
ਆਤਮ (ਮਨ) ਨੂੰ ਵਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਕਿੰਗਰੀ ਪਕੜ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭਿਛਿਆ (ਲੈਣ ਲਈ) ਝੋਲੀ (ਆਧਾਰ) ਬਣਾ।
Make self-control your lyre and the prop of the Name as your alms,
ਬਾਜੈਪਰਮਤਾਰਤਤੁਹਰਿਕੋਉਪਜੈਰਾਗੁਰਸਾਰੰ॥੧॥
ਪਰਮ ਤੱਤ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ (ਇਸ ਦੀ) ਤਾਰ ਦਾ ਵਜਣਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ (ਇਸ ਤੋਂ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਰਸੀਲਾ ਰਾਗ ਨਿਕਲੇ ॥੧॥
Then the supreme essence will be played like the main string creating savoury divine music.1.
ਉਘਟੈਤਾਨਤਰੰਗਰੰਗਿਅਤਿਗਿਆਨਿਗੀਤਿਬੰਧਾਨੰ॥
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ (ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਰਾਗ ਦੀ ਤਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
The wave of colourful tune will arise, manifesting the song of knowledge,
ਚਕਿਚਕਿਰਹੇਦੇਵਦਾਨਵਮੁਨਿਛਕਿਛਕਿਬ੍ਯੋਮਬਿਵਾਨੰ॥੨॥
(ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਦੈਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਨੀ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ॥੨॥
The gods, demons and sages would be amazed enjoying their ride in heavenly chariots.2.
ਆਤਮਉਪਦੇਸੁਭੇਸੁਸੰਜਮਕੋਜਾਪੁਸੁਅਜਪਾਜਾਪੈ॥
ਮਨ ਅਥਵਾ ਆਤਮਾ (ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨਾ) ਉਪਦੇਸ ਹੋਵੇ, ਸੰਜਮ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਭੇਸ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਪਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਪ ਹੋਵੇ।
While instructing the self in the garb of self-restraint and reciting God's Name inwardly,
ਸਦਾਰਹੈਕੰਚਨਸੀਕਾਯਾਕਾਲੁਨਕਬਹੂੰਬ੍ਯਾਪੈ॥੩॥੨॥
(ਅਜਿਹੇ ਯੋਗ ਦੇ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ) ਕਾਇਆ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਆਪੇਗਾ ॥੩॥੨॥
The body will always remain like gold and become immortal.3.2.

ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀਪਰਮਪੁਰਖੁਪਗਿਲਾਗੋ॥

ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਸੌਂ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਕਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਾਗੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ।
