ਮਾਤਾ ਹੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਕਰ ਵਿਖ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਓਸ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੋਣ ਪਾਲੇਗਾ। ਜੇਕਰ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਹੀ ਘਰ ਲੁੱਟਣ ਉਠ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਦੱਸੋ ਭਾਈ! ਕਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸੰਭਾਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ?
If a mother poisons her son then who will love him? If a watchman robs the house then how can it be protected?
ਕਰੀਆਜਉਬੋਰੈਨਾਵਕਹੋਕੈਸੇਪਾਵੈਪਾਰੁਅਗੂਆਊਬਾਟਪਾਰੈਕਾਪੈਦੀਨੁਭਾਖੀਐ।
ਐਸਾ ਹੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਰੀਐ ਮਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਬੇੜੀ ਡੋਬਨ ਡਹਿ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਦੱਸੋ! ਪਾਰ ਕੀਕੂੰ ਪੁਜਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੂ, ਅਰੁ ਜੇ ਆਗੂ ਰਹਿਬਰੀ ਕਰਣਹਾਰਾ ਹੀ ਉਲਟੇ ਰਾਹ ਪਾਣ ਲਗ ਪਵੇ, ਵਾ ਉਲਟਾ+ਬਾਟਾ ਪਾਰੈ ਗ੍ਰਹ ਮਾਰੀ ਕਰਣ ਧਾੜਾ ਪੌਣ ਲਗ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਦੀਨ ਹੋ ਪੁਕਾਰੀਏ ਫਰ੍ਯਾਦ ਲਜਾਈਏ?
If a boatman sinks the boat, then how can the passengers reach the shore beyond? If the-leader cheats on the way, then who can be prayed for justice?
ਖੇਤੈਜਉਖਾਇਬਾਰਿਕਉਨਧਾਇਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੁਚਕ੍ਰਵੈਕਰੈਅਨਿਆਉਪੂਛੈਕਉਨੁਸਾਖੀਐ।
ਜੇਕਰ ਖੇਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਾੜ ਹੀ ਚਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਖਵਾਲੀ ਲਈ ਦੌੜੇ, ਤੇ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਖ੍ਯਾਤ ਚਕ੍ਰਵੈ ਚਹੁੰ ਚੱਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਜੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਅਨੀਤੀ ਚੁਕ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਪੁਛੇਗਾ?
If the protecting fence starts eating the crop (caretaker starts destroying the crop) then who will take care of it? If a king becomes unjust who will examine the witness?

ਅਰੁ ਫੇਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਰੋਗੀ ਤਾਂਈ ਬੈਦ ਹਕੀਮ ਹੀ ਮਾਰੇ ਤੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਬੇਲੀ ਹੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਪਟ ਛਲ ਵਰਤਨ ਲਗ ਪਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੁਕਤ ਨ ਕਰਨ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਲਟਾ ਭਰਮ ਸਾਰਣ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਮੁਰਾਦ ਮੰਗਣ ਜਾਈਏ ? ॥੨੨੧॥
If a physician kills the patient, a friend betrays his friend, then who can be trusted? If a Guru does not bless his disciple with salvation, then who else can be expected to be saved? (221)
