ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਵੇਚਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਾਵੇ ਨਿਖਾਫੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉਥੋਂ ਲਾਭ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ,। ਹਾਂ! ਮੂਲ ਦਾ ਸੰਸਾ ਧੋਖਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਆਨ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਗੁੰਗੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਵੈਦਿਕ ਹਕੀਮੀ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਥਾ ਬੋਲੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਰਾਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾਦ ਸੁਰ ਸਿੱਖਨਾ ਚਾਹੇ ਇਹ ਅਭੂਲਿ ਕੋ ਅਨਿਥਾ ਅਭੁੱਲ ਸ੍ਯਾਣਪ ਤੋਂ ਅਨ੍ਯਥਾ ਉਲਟ ਹੈ ਭਾਵ, ਮੂਰਖਤਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
If someone wishes to learn astrology or acquire knowledge of Vedas from a dumb person, or wishes to know about music from a deaf person, this would be an utter foolish effort.

ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਆਨ ਦੇਵ ਸੇਵ ਤੋਂ ਦੋਖ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਮੇਟੇ ਕੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੋਖ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਚਾਹਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਜਮ ਦੀ ਸੂਲੀ ਵਾ ਜਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੀੜਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਹੇਗਾ ॥੪੭੫॥
