ਸ੍ਰੀਭਗਵੰਤਭਜਯੋਨਅਰੇਜੜਲਾਜਹੀਲਾਜਤੈਕਾਜੁਬਿਗਾਰਯੋ॥੨੫॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! (ਤੂੰ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਜ ਹੀ ਲਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੫॥
You have not remembered the Lord and are damaging the task in flase shame and honour.25.
ਬੇਦਕਤੇਬਪੜੇਬਹੁਤੇਦਿਨਭੇਦਕਛੂਤਿਨਕੋਨਹਿਪਾਯੋ॥
(ਤੂੰ) ਵੇਦ ਅਤੇ ਕਤੇਬ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤਕ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
You have studied Vedas and Katebs for a very long time, but still you could not comprehend His Mystery;
ਪੂਜਤਠੌਰਅਨੇਕਫਿਰਯੋਪਰਏਕਕਬੈਹੀਯਮੈਨਬਸਾਯੋ॥
ਅਨੇਕ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਜਦਾ ਫਿਰਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰ ਇਕ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਸਾਇਆ।
you had been wandering at many places worshipping Him, but you never adopted that One Lord;
ਪਾਹਨਕੋਅਸਥਾਲਯਕੋਸਿਰਨਯਾਇਫਿਰਯੋਕਛੁਹਾਥਿਨਆਯੋ॥
ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਕਬਰਾਂ (ਮੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਫਿਰਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ ਉਥੋਂ) ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਹੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ।
You had been wandering with bowed head in the temples of stones, hut you realized nothing;
ਰੇਮਨਮੂੜਅਗੂੜਪ੍ਰਭੂਤਜਿਆਪਨਹੂੜਕਹਾਉਰਝਾਯੋ॥੨੬॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨ! ਪ੍ਰਗਟ (ਅਗੂੜ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੂੜ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਉਲਝ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ ॥੨੬॥
O foolish mind! you were only entangled in your bad intellect abandoning that Effulgent Lord.26.
ਜੋਜੁਗਿਯਾਨਕੇਜਾਇਉਠਿਆਸ੍ਰਮਗੋਰਖਕੋਤਿਹਜਾਪਜਪਾਵੈ॥
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਵੇ, (ਤਾਂ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਰਖ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਪਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The person, who goes to the hermitage of Yogis and causes the Yogis to remember the name of Gorkh;
ਜਾਇਸੰਨਯਾਸਨਕੇਤਿਹਕੌਕਹਿਦਤਹੀਸਤਿਹੈਮੰਤ੍ਰਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ॥
(ਜੇ ਕੋਈ) ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀਆਂ (ਕੋਲ) ਜਾਏ, (ਤਾਂ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਦੱਤ ਹੀ ਸਤਿਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਇਹੀ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
who, amongst the Sannyasis tells them the mantra of Duttatreya as true,
ਜੋਕੋਊਜਾਇਤੁਰਕਨਮੈਮਹਿਦੀਨਕੇਦੀਨਤਿਸੇਗਹਿਲਯਾਵੈ॥
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਰਕਾਂ (ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨਾਂ) ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਵੇ, (ਤਾਂ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਮਹਿਦੀਨ (ਹਜ਼ਰਤ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ) ਦੇ ਦੀਲ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Who going amongst the Muslims, speaks about their religious faith,
ਆਪਹਿਬੀਚਗਨੈਕਰਤਾਕਰਤਾਰਕੋਭੇਦੁਨਕੋਊਬਤਾਵੈ॥੨੭॥
(ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੭॥
consider him only showing off the greatness of his learning and does not talk about the Mystery of that Creator Lord.27.
ਜੋਜੁਗੀਆਨਕੇਜਾਇਕਹੈਸਬਜੋਗਨਕੋਗ੍ਰਿਹਮਾਲਉਠੈਦੈ॥
ਜੇ (ਕੋਈ) ਜੋਗੀਆਂ (ਕੋਲ) ਜਾ ਕੇ (ਪਰਮ ਸੱਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ) ਕਹੇ (ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿਣਗੇ ਕਿ) ਘਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਮਾਲ ਉਠਾ ਕੇ ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਓ।
He, who on the persuasion of the Yogis gives in charity all his wealth to them;
ਜੋਪਰੋਭਾਜਿਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸਨਕੈਕਹੈਦੱਤਕੇਨਾਮਪੈਧਾਮਲੁਟੈਦੈ॥
ਜੇ (ਉਥੋਂ) ਭਜ ਕੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀਆਂ (ਕੋਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ) ਕਹਿਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਦੱਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਟਾ ਦਿਓ।
who squanders his belongings to Sannyasis in the name of Dutt,
ਜੋਕਰਿਕੋਊਮਸੰਦਨਸੌਕਹੈਸਰਬਦਰਬਲੈਮੋਹਿਅਬੈਦੈ॥
ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਸੰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕਹੇ (ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ) ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਹੁਣੇ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਓ।
Who on the direction of the Masands (the priests appointed for collections of funds) takes the wealth of Sikhs and gives it to me,
ਲੇਉਹੀਲੇਉਕਹੈਸਬਕੋਨਰਕੋਊਨਬ੍ਰਹਮਬਤਾਇਹਮੈਦੈ॥੨੮॥
(ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ)। ਸਾਰੇ ਲੈਣਾ ਹੀ ਲੈਣਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਪਰ) ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ) ਨਹੀਂ ਦਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੮॥
then I think that these are only the methods of selfish-disciplines; I ask such a person to instruct me about the Mystery of the Lord.28.
ਜੋਕਰਿਸੇਵਮਸੰਦਨਕੀਕਹੈਆਨਿਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਸਬੈਮੋਹਿਦੀਜੈ॥
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਸੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੇ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਕਹਿਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਘਰ (ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ-ਭਵਨ) ਤੋਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਓ।
He, who serves his disciples and impresses the people and tells them to hand over the victuals to him
ਜੋਕਛੁਮਾਲਤਵਾਲਯਸੋਅਬਹੀਉਠਿਭੇਟਹਮਾਰੀਹੀਕੀਜੈ॥
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ,। ਉਹ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਉਠ (ਕੇ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ) ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।
and present before him whatever they had in their homes;
ਮੇਰੋਈਧਯਾਨਧਰੋਨਿਸਿਬਾਸੁਰਭੂਲਕੈਅਉਰਕੋਨਾਮੁਨਲੀਜੈ॥
ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੁਲ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਨਾ ਲਵੋ।
He also asks them to think of him and not to remember the name of anyone else;
ਦੀਨੇਕੋਨਾਮੁਸੁਨੈਭਜਿਰਾਤਹਿਲੀਨੇਬਿਨਾਨਹਿਨੈਕੁਪ੍ਰਸੀਜੈ॥੨੯॥
ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਤੋ ਰਾਤ ਭਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਏ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਤਾ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ॥੨੯॥
consider that he has only a Mantra to give, but he would not be pleased without taking back something.29.
ਆਖਨਭੀਤਰਿਤੇਲਕੌਡਾਰਸੁਲੋਗਨਨੀਰੁਬਹਾਇਦਿਖਾਵੈ॥
ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਸੁਰਮਚੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ) ਤੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਝੂ ਵਗਾ ਕੇ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
He, who puts oil in his eyes and just shows to the people that he was weeping for the love of the Lord;
ਜੋਧਨਵਾਨੁਲਖੈਨਿਜਸੇਵਕਤਾਹੀਪਰੋਸਿਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਜਿਮਾਵੈ॥
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਲਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਰੋਸ ਕੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਛਕਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
he, who himself serves meals to his rich disciples,
ਜੋਧਨਹੀਨਲਖੈਤਿਹਦੇਤਨਮਾਗਨਜਾਤਮੁਖੋਨਦਿਖਾਵੈ॥
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਦਿਸ ਪਵੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਗਣ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਨੂੰ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਖਾਂਦੇ।
But gives nothing to the poor one even on begging and even does not want to see him,
ਲੂਟਤਹੈਪਸੁਲੋਗਨਕੋਕਬਹੂੰਨਪ੍ਰਮੇਸੁਰਕੇਗੁਨਗਾਵੈ॥੩੦॥
(ਉਹ) ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਟਦੇ ਹਨ (ਪਰ) ਕਦੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਾਂਦੇ ॥੩੦॥
then consider that base fellow is merely looting the people and does not also sing the Praises of the Lord.30.
ਆਂਖਨਮੀਚਿਰਹੈਬਕਕੀਜਿਮਲੋਗਨਏਕਪ੍ਰਪੰਚਦਿਖਾਯੋ॥
ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਗਲੇ ਵਾਂਗ (ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਰਖਦੇ ਹਨ) ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ (ਨੂੰ ਠਗਣ ਲਈ) ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਪੰਚ ਵਿਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
He closes his eyes like a crane and exhibits deceit to the people;
ਨਿਆਤਫਿਰਯੋਸਿਰੁਬਧਕਜਯੋਧਯਾਨਬਿਲੋਕਬਿੜਾਲਲਜਾਯੋ॥
ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਈ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਧਿਆਨ (ਲਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਿਲਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
he bows his heads like a hunter and the cat seeing his meditation feels shy;
ਲਾਗਿਫਿਰਯੋਧਨਆਸਜਿਤੈਤਿਤਲੋਗਗਯੋਪਰਲੋਗਗਵਾਯੋ॥
ਜਿਥੋਂ ਧਨ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਲਗੇ ਲਗੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ) ਲੋਕ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਗੰਵਾ ਲਿਆ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਗੰਵਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Such a person wanders merely with the desire to collect wealth and loses the merit of this as well as the next world;
