ਕਾਲਿਕਾਸ੍ਰਉਨਪੀਓਤਿਨਕੋਕਵਿਨੇਮਨਮੈਲੀਯੋਭਾਉਭਵਾਪੈ॥
ਕਾਲਕਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਪੀ ਲਿਆ, ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਇਸ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਭਵਾਨੀ (ਭਵਾ) ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਇਹ ਭਾਵ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ
Kali drank their blood and the poet hath created this image regarding Kali.,
ਮਾਨਹੁਸਿੰਧੁਕੇਨੀਰਸਬੈਮਿਲਿਧਾਇਕੈਜਾਇਪਰੋਹੈਤਵਾਪੈ॥੧੬੮॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਗਰਮ) ਤਵੇ ਉਤੇ ਜਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਲ ਗਰਮ ਤਵੇ ਉਤੇ ਪੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧੬੮॥
She accomplished the feat like the grand mythological opening in which the water of all the oceans merges.168.,
ਚੰਡਿਹਨੇਅਰੁਕਾਲਿਕਾਕੋਪਕੈਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਨਸੋਇਹਕੀਨੋ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਕਾ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ
The demons were killed by Chnadi and Kali in great rage treated the Raktavijas in this way,
ਖਗਸੰਭਾਰਹਕਾਰਤਬੈਕਿਲਕਾਰਬਿਦਾਰਸਭੈਦਲੁਦੀਨੋ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੰਗਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਕ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਦਲ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
She held her sword and challenging the demons and shouting loudly, she destroyed all the army.,
ਆਮਿਖਸ੍ਰੋਨਅਚਿਓਬਹੁਕਾਲਿਕਾਤਾਛਬਿਮੈਕਵਿਇਉਮਨਿਚੀਨੋ॥
ਕਾਲਕਾ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਪੀਤਾ, ਇਸ (ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼) ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇੰਜ ਪਈ
Kali ate and drank enormous quantity of flesh and blood, the poet hath depicted her glory like this:,
ਮਾਨੋਛੁਧਾਤਰੁਹੁਇਕੈਮਨੁਛਸੁਸਾਲਨਲਾਸਹਿਸੋਬਹੁਪੀਨੋ॥੧੬੯॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਭੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਆਤੁਰ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਸ਼ੋਰਬਾ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਲੂਣਾ ਖਾਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੬੯॥
As though afflicted with hunger, the human being hath eaten the salted curry and drank the soup abundantly.169.,
ਜੁਧਰਕਤ੍ਰਬੀਜਕਰਿਯੋਧਰਨੀਪਰਸੋਸੁਰਦੇਖਤਸਾਰੇ॥
ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਜੋ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਸਨ।
The war that Raktavija waged on the earth, it was seen by all the gods.,
ਜੇਤਕਸ੍ਰੌਨਕੀਬੂੰਦਗਿਰੈਉਠਿਤੇਤਕਰੂਪਅਨੇਕਹਿਧਾਰੇ॥
ਲਹੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਤਨੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਡਿਗਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਅਨੇਕ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਉਠ ਖੜੋਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
As many drops of blood fall, so many demons manifest and come forward.,
ਜੁਗਨਿਆਨਿਫਿਰੀਚਹੂੰਓਰਤੇਸੀਸਜਟਾਕਰਿਖਪਰਭਾਰੇ॥
ਜੋਗਣੀਆਂ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਵਲ ਪਸਰ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਜਟਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਖੱਪਰ ਹਨ।
The vamps have reached from all sides, they have matted locks on their heads and bowls in their hands.
ਸ੍ਰੋਨਤਬੂੰਦਪਰੈਅਚਵੈਸਭਖਗਲੈਚੰਡਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਸੰਘਾਰੇ॥੧੭੦॥
(ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ) ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਬੂੰਦ (ਖੱਪਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਪੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (ਉਹ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪੀ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ (ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੦॥
They drink that drop of blood which falls in their bowls and taking the sword Chandi goes on killing very swiftly.170.,
ਕਾਲੀਅਉਚੰਡਿਕੁਵੰਡਸੰਭਾਰਕੈਦੈਤਸੋਜੁਧਨਿਸੰਗਸਜਿਓਹੈ॥
ਕਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਇਆ।
Kali and Chandi, holding the bow, have begun the war unhesitatingly with the demons.,
ਮਾਰਮਹਾਰਨਮਧਭਈਪਹਰੇਕਲਉਸਾਰਸੋਸਾਰਬਜਿਓਹੈ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਰੋ ਮਾਰ ਹੋਈ, ਇਕ ਪਹਿਰ ਤਕ ਲੋਹੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਹਾ ਖੜਕਿਆ।
There was great killing in the battlefield, for one watch of the day, the steel rattled with the steel.
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਗਿਰਿਓਧਰਨੀਪਰਇਉਅਸਿਸੋਅਰਿਸੀਸਭਜਿਓਹੈ॥
ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰੀ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ,
Raktavija hath fallen on the ground and in this way the head of the enemy hath broken.,
ਮਾਨੋਅਤੀਤਕਰਿਯੋਚਿਤਕੇਧਨਵੰਤਸਭੈਨਿਜਮਾਲਤਜਿਓਹੈ॥੧੭੧॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਰਾਗੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਮਾਲ-ਧਨ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੭੧॥
It seemed that the rich person hath detached himself from the riches and hath forsaken all his wealth. 171.,
ਸੋਰਠਾ॥
ਸੋਰਠਾ:
SORATHA,
ਚੰਡੀਦਇਓਬਿਦਾਰਸ੍ਰਉਨਪਾਨਕਾਲੀਕਰਿਓ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ (ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਨੂੰ) ਪਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਲਹੂ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Chandi hath destroyed (the demons) and Kali hath drunk their blood.,
ਛਿਨਮੈਡਾਰਿਓਮਾਰਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬਿੰਦਦਾਨਵਮਹਾ॥੧੭੨॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ) ਵੱਡੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਨੂੰ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੨॥
In this way, both of them together , have killed the chief demon Raktavija in an instant.172.,
ਇਤਿਸ੍ਰੀਮਾਰਕੰਡੇਪੁਰਾਨੇਸ੍ਰੀਚੰਡੀਚਰਿਤ੍ਰਉਕਤਿਬਿਲਾਸਰਕਤਬੀਜਬਧਹਿਨਾਮਪੰਚਮੋਧਿਆਇਸਮਾਪਤਮਸਤੁਸੁਭਮਸਤੁ॥੫॥
ਇਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਾਰਕੰਡੇ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਦੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਉਕਤੀ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਦੇ 'ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਬਧ' ਨਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਭ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੈ ॥੫॥

ਤੁਛਬਚੇਭਜਕੈਰਨਤਿਆਗਕੈਸੁੰਭਨਿਸੁੰਭਪੈਜਾਇਪੁਕਾਰੇ॥
ਥੋੜੇ ਬਚੇ-ਖੁਚੇ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਭਜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੁੰਭ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪੁਕਾਰਨ ਲਗੇ
A small number of demons were saved by running away, they went to Sumbh and Nisumbh and requested him:
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਬੀਜਹਨਿਓਦੁਹਨੇਮਿਲਿਅਉਰਮਹਾਭਟਮਾਰਬਿਦਾਰੇ॥
(ਕਿ ਚੰਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲੀ) ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਨਾਮੀ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
“Both of them together have killed Raktavija and also have killed and destroyed many others.”,
ਇਉਸੁਨਿਕੈਉਨਿਕੇਮੁਖਤੇਤਬਬੋਲਿਉਠਿਓਕਰਿਖਗਸੰਭਾਰੇ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਤਦੋਂ (ਰਾਜਾ ਸੁੰਭ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਖੜਗ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਬੋਲ ਉਠਿਆ
Hearing these words form their mouth, the king Sumbh spoke thus,
ਇਉਹਨਿਹੋਬਰਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਿਅਜਾਬਨਮੈਜਿਮਸਿੰਘਪਛਾਰੇ॥੧੭੩॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਲ-ਪੂਰਵਕ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਬਕਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੩॥
“I shall kill the fierce Chandi thus going in front of her just as the lion knocks down a goat in the forest.173.,
