ਲੋਥਪੈਲੋਥਗਈਪਰਇਉਸੁਮਨੋਸੁਰਲੋਗਕੀਸੀਢੀਬਨਾਈ॥੨੧੫॥
ਕਿ ਲੋਥ ਉਤੇ ਲੋਥ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਮਾਨੋ ਸੁਅਰਗ (ਤਕ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ) ਪੌੜੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੧੫॥
The corpses falling on one another seem like a ladder of heaven made by the warriors in the war.215.,
ਸੁੰਭਚਮੂੰਸੰਗਚੰਡਿਕਾਕ੍ਰੁਧਕੈਜੁਧਅਨੇਕਨਿਵਾਰਿਮਚਿਓਹੈ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਇਆ।
Chandi, with great rage, hath waged war several times with the forces of Sumbh.,
ਜੰਬੁਕਜੁਗਨਿਗ੍ਰਿਝਮਜੂਰਰਕਤ੍ਰਕੀਕੀਚਮੈਈਸਨਚਿਓਹੈ॥
(ਇਕ ਰੂਪਕ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਗਿਦੜ, ਜੋਗਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਰਝਾਂ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੇ ਚਿਕੜ (ਰੂਪੀ ਗਾਰੇ ਵਿਚ) ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨਚਿਆ ਹੈ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਘਾਣੀ ਘੋਲੀ ਹੈ)।
The jackals, vamps and vultures are like laborers and the dancer standing in the mud of flesh and blood is Shiva himself.,
ਲੁਥਪੈਲੁਥਸੁਭੀਤੈਭਈਸਿਤਗੂਦਅਉਮੇਦਲੈਤਾਹਿਗਚਿਓਹੈ॥
ਲੋਥ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹੀ ਲੋਥ ਕੰਧ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ੈਦ ਮਿਝ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਬੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਪਰ ਕਲੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
The corpses upon corpses have become a wall and the fat and marrow are the plaster (on that wall).,
ਭਉਨਰੰਗੀਨਬਨਾਇਮਨੋਕਰਿਮਾਵਿਸੁਚਿਤ੍ਰਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਰਚਿਓਹੈ॥੨੧੬॥
(ਇਹ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ) ਮਾਨੋ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਕਰਮਾ ('ਕਰਿਮਾਵਿਸੁ') ਨੇ ਰੰਗੀਨ ਮਕਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਤੇ ਵਿਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਿਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੧੬॥

ਦੁੰਦਸੁਜੁਧਭਇਓਰਨਮੈਉਤਸੁੰਭਇਤੈਬਰਚੰਡਿਸੰਭਾਰੀ॥
ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਅੰਦ-ਯੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਧਰ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਧਰ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਡਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
Ultimately there was battle only between the two, Sumbh from that side and Chandi from this side, sustained their power.,
ਘਾਇਅਨੇਕਭਏਦੁਹੂੰਕੈਤਨਿਪਉਰਖਗਯੋਸਭਦੈਤਕੋਹਾਰੀ॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਲਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, (ਪਰੰਤੂ) ਦੈਂਤ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ('ਪਉਰਖ') ਹਾਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
Several wounds were infected on the bodies of bodies of both, but the demon lost all his power.,
ਹੀਨਭਈਬਲਤੇਭੁਜਕਾਂਪਤਸੋਉਪਮਾਕਵਿਐਸਿਬਿਚਾਰੀ॥
ਬਲ-ਹੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਦੀਆਂ) ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਕੰਬਣ ਲਗ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਸ (ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਦੀ) ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚਾਰੀ ਹੈ,
The arms of the powerless demon tremble for which the poet hath imagined this comparison.,
ਮਾਨਹੁਗਾਰੜੂਕੇਬਲਤੇਲਈਪੰਚਮੁਖੀਜੁਗਸਾਪਨਿਕਾਰੀ॥੨੧੭॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਪੰਜ ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਸੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਗਾਰੁੜੂ (ਮੰਤਰ) ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ (ਬਲ) ਕਾਰਨ (ਬੇਸੁਧ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਲਟਕ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੨੧੭॥
It seemed that they are the black serpents of five mouths, which are hanging unconsciously with the power of snake-spell.217.,
ਕੋਪਭਈਬਰਚੰਡਿਮਹਾਬਹੁਜੁਧੁਕਰਿਓਰਨਮੈਬਲਧਾਰੀ॥
ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਬਲ-ਪੂਰਵਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
Very powerful Chandi became furious in the battlefield and with great force she fought the battle.,
ਲੈਕੈਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਮਹਾਬਲਵਾਨਪਚਾਰਕੈਸੁੰਭਕੇਊਪਰਝਾਰੀ॥
(ਉਸ) ਮਹਾ ਬਲਵਾਨ (ਚੰਡੀ) ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਲਲਕਾਰਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਉਪਰ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
Very powerful Chandi, taking her sword and shouting loudly, she struck it on Sumbh.,
ਸਾਰਸੋਸਾਰਕੀਸਾਰਬਜੀਝਨਕਾਰਉਠੀਤਿਹਤੇਚਿਨਗਾਰੀ॥
(ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ) ਲੋਹੇ (ਸਾਰ) ਨਾਲ (ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ) ਲੋਹੇ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਵਜੀ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਛਣਕਾਰ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੰਗਾਰੀਆਂ (ਨਿਕਲੀਆਂ)
The sword’s edge collided with the sword’s edge, from which there arose tinkling sound and sparks.,
ਮਾਨਹੁਭਾਦਵਮਾਸਕੀਰੈਨਿਲਸੈਪਟਬੀਜਨਕੀਚਮਕਾਰੀ॥੨੧੮॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਭਾਦਰੋਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ (ਵਿਚ) ਜੁਗਨੂੰਆਂ (ਪਟਬੀਜਨ) ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੧੮॥
It seemed that during the right of Bhandon (month), there is the glow of glow-worns.218.,
ਘਾਇਨਤੇਬਹੁਸ੍ਰਉਨਪਰਿਓਬਲਛੀਨਭਇਓਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੁੰਭਕੋਕੈਸੇ॥
ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਹੂ ਵਗ ਗਿਆ, (ਫਲਸਰੂਪ) ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਛੀਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ?
Much blood flowed out of the would of the wounds of Sumbh, therefore he lost his power, how doth he look like?,
ਜੋਤਿਘਟੀਮੁਖਕੀਤਨਕੀਮਨੋਪੂਰਨਤੇਪਰਿਵਾਸਸਿਜੈਸੇ॥
ਮੁਖ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਟ ਗਈ ਮਾਨੋ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸੀ (ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਏਕਮ ਦੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ (ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਘਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ)।
The glory of his face and the power of his body have depleted like the decrease in the light of the moon from full moon to the new moon.,
ਚੰਡਿਲਇਓਕਰਿਸੁੰਭਉਠਾਇਕਹਿਓਕਵਿਨੇਮੁਖਿਤੇਜਸੁਐਸੇ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਉਠਾ ਲਿਆ। (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਕਹੀ ਹੈ
Chandi picked up Sumbh in her hand, the poet hath imahined the comparison of this scene like this:,
ਰਛਕਗੋਧਨਕੇਹਿਤਕਾਨ੍ਹਉਠਾਇਲਇਓਗਿਰਿਗੋਧਨੁਜੈਸੇ॥੨੧੯॥
ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਊਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਗੋਵਰਧਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਚੁਕ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੨੧੯॥
It seemed that in order to protect the flock of cows, Krishna had lifted the Govardhana mountain.219.,

ਕਰਤੇਗਿਰਿਧਰਨੀਪਰਿਓਧਰਿਤੇਗਇਓਅਕਾਸਿ॥
(ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚੋਂ (ਸ਼ੁੰਭ) ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
Sumbh fell from the hand or Chandi on the earth and from the earth it flew to the sky.,
ਸੁੰਭਸੰਘਾਰਨਕੇਨਮਿਤਗਈਚੰਡਿਤਿਹਪਾਸ॥੨੨੦॥
ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੰਡੀ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ॥੨੨੦॥
In order to kill Sumbh, Chandi approached him.220.,

ਬੀਚਤਬੈਨਭਮੰਡਲਚੰਡਿਕਾਜੁਧਕਰਿਓਜਿਮਆਗੇਨਹੋਊ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਆਕਾਸ਼-ਮੰਡਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ) ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਗੇ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Such a war was waged by Chandi in the sky, as had never been waged before.,
ਸੂਰਜਚੰਦੁਨਿਛਤ੍ਰਸਚੀਪਤਿਅਉਰਸਭੈਸੁਰਪੇਖਤਸੋਊ॥
ਸੂਰਜ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ, ਤਾਰੇ ('ਨਿਛਤ੍ਰ') ਇੰਦਰ ('ਸਚੀਪਤਿ') ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਸ (ਯੁੱਧ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
