ਜਾਂਸੁਖੁਤਾਸਹੁਰਾਵਿਓਦੁਖਿਭੀਸੰਮੑਾਲਿਓਇ॥
ਜੇ ਸੁਖ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ, ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੀਏ,
When there is peace and pleasure, that is the time to remember your Husband Lord. In times of suffering and pain, remember Him then as well.
जां सुखु ता सहु राविओ दुखि भी संमालिओइ ॥
ਨਾਨਕੁਕਹੈਸਿਆਣੀਏਇਉਕੰਤਮਿਲਾਵਾਹੋਇ॥੨॥
ਤਾਂ, ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਸਿਆਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਏ! ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਸਮ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
Says Nanak, O wise bride, this is the way to meet your Husband Lord. ||2||
नानकु कहै सिआणीए इउ कंत मिलावा होइ ॥२॥
