ਸ੍ਰੀਭਗਵੰਤਭਜਯੋਨਅਰੇਜੜਧਾਮਕੇਕਾਮਕਹਾਉਰਝਾਯੋ॥੩੧॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਕਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਉਲਝੇ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ॥੩੧॥
O foolish creature! You have not worshipped the Lord and had been uselessly entangle in the domestic as well as outside affairs.31.
ਫੋਕਟਕਰਮਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਤਕਹਾਇਨਲੋਗਨਕੋਕੋਈਕਾਮਨਐਹੈ॥
(ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਫੋਕਟ ਕਰਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ) ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣੇ।
Why do you tell repeatedly to these people for performing the actions of heresy? These works will not be of any use to them;
ਭਾਜਤਕਾਧਨਹੇਤਅਰੇਜਮਕਿੰਕਰਤੇਨਹਭਾਜਨਪੈਹੈ॥
ਹੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਧਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭਜਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, (ਪਰ ਤੂੰ) ਜਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਭਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇਂਗਾ।
why are you running hither and thither for wealth? You may do anything, but you will bot be able to escape from the noose of Yama;
ਪੁਤ੍ਰਕਲਿਤ੍ਰਨਮਿਤ੍ਰਸਬੈਊਹਾਸਿਖਸਖਾਕੋਊਸਾਖਨਦੈਹੈ॥
ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਸਤਰੀ, ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ-ਸੇਵਕ ਉਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
Even you son, wife an friend will not bear witness to you and none of them will speak for you;
ਚੇਤਰੇਚੇਤਅਚੇਤਮਹਾਪਸੁਅੰਤਕੀਬਾਰਇਕੇਲੋਈਜੈਹੈ॥੩੨॥
ਹੇ ਅਚੇਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾ ਮੂਰਖ! ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ ਲੈ ਕਿ ਅੰਤ ਵੇਲੇ (ਤੂੰ ਇਥੋਂ) ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ॥੩੨॥
therefore, O fool! take care of yourself even now, because ultimately you will have to go alone.32.
ਤੋਤਨਤਯਾਗਤਹੀਸੁਨਰੇਜੜਪ੍ਰੇਤਬਖਾਨਤ੍ਰਿਆਭਜਿਜੈਹੈ॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਤੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਛਡਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਤੇਰੀ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ (ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ) ਭਜ ਜਾਏਗੀ।
After abandoning the body, O fool! Your wife will also run away calling you a ghost;
ਪੁਤ੍ਰਕਲਤ੍ਰਸੁਮਿਤ੍ਰਸਖਾਇਹਬੇਗਨਿਕਾਰਹੁਆਇਸੁਦੈਹੈ॥
ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਸਤਰੀ, ਮਿਤਰ, ਸਾਥੀ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ (ਮੁਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ) ਜਲਦੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਢਣ ਲਈ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
the son, wife and friend, all will say that you should be taken out immediately and cause you to go to the cemetery;
ਭਉਨਭੰਡਾਰਧਰਾਗੜਜੇਤਕਛਾਡਤਪ੍ਰਾਨਬਿਗਾਨਕਹੈਹੈ॥
ਘਰ-ਬਾਰ, ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ, ਜ਼ਮੀਨ, ਕਿਲਾ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ (ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹਨ) ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਛੁਟਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਬਿਗਾਨੇ ਅਖਵਾਉਣ ਲਗ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
After passing away, the home, shore and earth will become alien,
ਚੇਤਰੇਚੇਤਅਚੇਤਮਹਾਪਸੁਅੰਤਕੀਬਾਰਿਇਕੇਲੋਈਜੈਹੈ॥੩੩॥
ਹੇ ਨਾ-ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾ ਪਸ਼ੂ! ਸੰਭਲ ਜਾ, ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ ਲੈ (ਕਿ) ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲ ਵੇਲੇ (ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ) ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ॥੩੩॥
therefore, O great animal! take care of yourself even now, because ultimately you have to go alone.33.
ੴਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫਤਹ॥
The Lord is One and the Victory is of the Lord.
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ॥ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ੧੦॥

ਜੋਕਿਛੁਲੇਖੁਲਿਖਿਓਬਿਧਨਾਸੋਈਪਾਯਤੁਮਿਸ੍ਰਜੂਸੋਕਨਿਵਾਰੋ॥
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਧਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਪਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਰ ਜੀ! ਸ਼ੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।
O friend! whatever the providence has recorded, it will surely happen, therefore, forsake your sorrow;
ਮੇਰੋਕਛੂਅਪਰਾਧੁਨਹੀਂਗਯੋਯਾਦਤੇਭੂਲਨਹਕੋਪੁਚਿਤਾਰੋ॥
(ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਵਿਚ) ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਯਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਭੁਲ ਗਿਆ,। (ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਲ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਵੇਖੋ।
there is no fault of mine in this; I had only forgotton (to serve you earlier); do not get enraged on my error;
ਬਾਗੋਨਿਹਾਲੀਪਠੋਦੈਹੋਆਜੁਭਲੇਤੁਮਕੋਨਿਹਚੈਜੀਅਧਾਰੋ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਅਜ ਹੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾ, ਰਜ਼ਾਈ ਆਦਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, (ਇਹ ਗੱਲ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਸਚੇ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ।
I shall surely cause to send the quilt, bed etc. as religious gift; do not be anxious about that,
ਛੱਤ੍ਰੀਸਭੈਕ੍ਰਿਤਬਿੱਪਨਕੇਇਨਹੂਪੈਕਟਾਛਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕੈਨਿਹਾਰੋ॥੧॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ (ਭ੍ਰਿਤ) ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖੋ ॥੧॥
the Kshatriyas had been performing the jobs for the Brahmins; now be kind to them, looking towards them.1.
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ॥
ਜੁੱਧਜਿਤੇਇਨਹੀਕੇਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਇਨਹੀਕੇਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਸੁਦਾਨਕਰੇ॥
(ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਸਿੱਖਾਂ) ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਜਿਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
By the kindness of these Sikhs, I have conquered the wars and also by their kindness, I have bestowed charities;
ਅਘਅਉਘਟਰੇਇਨਹੀਕੇਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਇਨਹੀਕੀਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਫੁਨਧਾਮਭਰੇ॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਫਿਰ ਘਰ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
by their kindness the clusters on sins have been destroyed and by their kindness my house is full of wealth and materials;
ਇਨਹੀਕੇਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਸੁਬਿਦਿਆਲਈਇਨਹੀਕੀਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਸਭਸਤ੍ਰਮਰੇ॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
By their kindness I have received education and by their kindness all my enemies have been destroyed;
ਇਨਹੀਕੀਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕੇਸਜੇਹਮਹੈਨਹੀਮੋਸੇਗਰੀਬਕਰੋਰਪਰੇ॥੨॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਗਰੀਬ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਪਏ ਹਨ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਛਦਾ) ॥੨॥
by their kindness I have been greatly adorned, otherwise there kindness I have been greatly adorned, otherwise there are crores of humble person like me.2.
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ॥
ਸੇਵਕਰੀਇਨਹੀਕੀਭਾਵਤਅਉਰਕੀਸੇਵਸੁਹਾਤਨਜੀਕੋ॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਹੀ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਚੰਗੀ ਲਗਦੀ ਹੈ; ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦੀ।
I like to serve them and my mind is not pleased to serve others;
ਦਾਨਦਯੋਇਨਹੀਕੋਭਲੋਅਰੁਆਨਕੋਦਾਨਨਲਾਗਤਨੀਕੋ॥
ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣਾ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦਾ।
the charities bestowed on them are really good and the charities given to others do not appear to be nice;
ਆਗੈਫਲੈਇਨਹੀਕੋਦਯੋਜਗਮੈਜਸੁਅਉਰਦਯੋਸਭਫੀਕੋ॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਗੇ ਫਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਯਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ; ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਭ ਫਿਕਾ (ਵਿਅਰਥ) ਹੈ।
The charities bestowed on them will bear fruit in future and the charities given to others in the world are unsavoury in front of donation given to them;
ਮੋਗ੍ਰਹਮੈਤਨਤੇਮਨਤੇਸਿਰਲਉਧਨਹੈਸਭਹੀਇਨਹੀਕੋ॥੩॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਤਨ, ਮਨ ਤੇ ਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਤਕ ਸਭ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਸਿੱਖਾਂ) ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
in my house, my mind, my body, my wealth and even my head everything belongs to them.3.
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥

ਚਟਪਟਾਇਚਿਤਮੈਜਰਿਓਤ੍ਰਿਣਜਿਉਕ੍ਰੁਧਤਹੋਇ॥
ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਸ਼ਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਘਬਰਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਤੀਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੜ ਗਿਆ।
