ਖੋਜਰੋਜਕੇਹੇਤਲਗਦਯੋਮਿਸ੍ਰਜੂਰੋਇ॥੪॥
ਰੋਟੀ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਿਆ ਮਿਸ਼ਰ ਜੀ ਰੋ ਪਿਆ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ-ਦਛਣਾ ਨਾ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੀ) ॥੪॥
in the same way, the Brahmin got enraged in his mind and thinking about his means of sustenance, he wept.4.

ਸਾਂਗ, ਸਰੋਹੀ (ਸਿਰੋਹੀ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਬਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ) ਸੈਫ (ਸਿਧੀ ਦੋਧਾਰੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ) ਅਸਿ (ਖ਼ਮਦਾਰ ਤਲਵਾਰ) ਤੀਰ, ਤੁਪਕ (ਬੰਦੂਕ) ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ (ਆਦਿ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ)
O Lord! Protect us by creating Saang, Sarohi, Saif (Sword), As, Teer (arrow) tupak (gun), Talwaar (sword)
ਸਤ੍ਰਾਤਕਿਕਵਚਾਤਿਕਰਕਰੀਐਰਛਹਮਾਰਿ॥੧॥
ਇਹ ਵੈਰੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਚਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ (ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ) ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
and other weapons and armours causing the destruction of the enemies.1.
ਅਸਿਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਧਾਰਾਧਰੀਸੈਫਸੂਲਜਮਦਾਢ॥
ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ, ਧਾਰਾਧਰੀ (ਤਿਖੀ ਧਾਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ) ਸੈਫ, ਸੂਲ (ਨੇਜ਼ਾ) ਜਮਦਾੜ੍ਹ (ਇਕ ਕਟਾਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਜਮ ਦੀ ਦਾੜ੍ਹ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ)
O Lord! Creat As, Kripan (sword), Dharaddhari, Sail, Soof, Jamaadh,
ਕਵਚਾਤਕਿਸਤ੍ਰਾਤਕਰਤੇਗਤੀਰਧਰਬਾਢ॥੨॥
ਤੇਗ, ਤੀਰ, ਧਰਬਾਢ (ਵਢਣ ਲਈ ਤੇਜ਼ ਧਾਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ) 'ਆਦਿਕ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ' ਕਵਚਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
Tegh (saber), Teer (saber), Teer (arrow), Talwar(sword), causing the destruction of armours and enemies.2.
ਅਸਿਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਖੰਡੋਖੜਗਤੁਪਕਤਬਰਅਰੁਤੀਰ॥
ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ, ਖੰਡਾ, ਖੜਗ, ਬੰਦੂਕ, ਤਬਰ (ਛਵੀ) ਤੀਰ,
As, Kripan (sword), Khanda, Khadag (sword), Tupak (gun), Tabar (hatched),
ਸੈਫਸਰੋਹੀਸੈਹਥੀਯਹੈਹਮਾਰੈਪੀਰ॥੩॥
ਸੈਫ, ਸਰੋਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਹਥੀ (ਬਰਛੀ) (ਆਦਿਕ) ਇਹ (ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ) ਮੇਰੇ ਪੀਰ (ਅਥਵਾ ਗੁਰੂ) ਹਨ ॥੩॥
Teer (arrow), Saif (sword), Sarohi and Saihathi, all these are our adorable seniors.3.
ਤੀਰਤੁਹੀਸੈਥੀਤੁਹੀਤੁਹੀਤਬਰਤਰਵਾਰਿ॥
(ਹੇ ਪਰਮ ਸੱਤਾ!) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤੀਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਬਰਛੀ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਛਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈਂ।
Thou are the Teer (arrow), Thou are Saihathi, Thou art Tabar (hatchet), and Talwaar (sword)
ਨਾਮਤਿਹਾਰੋਜੋਜਪੈਭਏਸਿੰਧੁਭਵਪਾਰ॥੪॥
ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹ) ਭਵਸਾਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
He, who remembers Thy Name crosses the dreadful ocean of existence.4.
ਕਾਲਤੁਹੀਕਾਲੀਤੁਹੀਤੁਹੀਤੇਗਅਰੁਤੀਰ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਾਲ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਾਲੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤੇਗ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰ ਹੈਂ।
Thou art the KAL (death), thou art the goddess Kali, Thou art the saber and arrow,
ਤੁਹੀਨਿਸਾਨੀਜੀਤਕੀਆਜੁਤੁਹੀਜਗਬੀਰ॥੫॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਿਤ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੫॥
Thou art the sign of victory today and Thou art the Hero of the world.5.
ਤੁਹੀਸੂਲਸੈਥੀਤਬਰਤੂਨਿਖੰਗਅਰੁਬਾਨ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਨੇਜ਼ਾ ਹੈਂ, (ਤੂੰ ਹੀ) ਬਰਛੀ ਅਤੇ ਛਵੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਭੱਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣ ਹੈਂ।
Thou art the Sool (spike), Saihathi and Tabar (hatched), Thou art the Nikhang and Baan (arrow),
ਤੁਹੀਕਟਾਰੀਸੇਲਸਭਤੁਮਹੀਕਰਦਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ॥੬॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਟਾਰੀ, ਸੇਲ (ਬਰਛਾ) ਆਦਿਕ ਸਭ (ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਹੈਂ) ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਰਦ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਹੈਂ ॥੬॥
Thou art the Kataari, Sel, and all and Thou art the Kard (knife), and Kripaan (sword).6.
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਅਸਤ੍ਰਤੁਮਹੀਸਿਪਰਤੁਮਹੀਕਵਚਨਿਖੰਗ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਿਪਰ (ਢਾਲ) ਕਵਚ ਅਤੇ ਭੱਥਾ ਹੈਂ।
Thou art the arms and weapons, Thou art the Nikhang (quiver), and the Kavach (armour)
ਕਵਚਾਤਕਿਤੁਮਹੀਬਨੇਤੁਮਬ੍ਯਾਪਕਸਰਬੰਗ॥੭॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਵਚਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ ॥੭॥
Thou art the destroyer of the armours and Thou art also all pervading.7.
ਸ੍ਰੀਤੁਹੀਸਭਕਾਰਨਤੁਹੀਤੂਬਿਦ੍ਯਾਕੋਸਾਰ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਹੈਂ, ਸਭ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੂਪ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਸਾਰ ਹੈਂ।
Thou art the cause of peace and prosperity and the essence of learning
ਤੁਮਸਭਕੋਉਪਰਾਜਹੀਤੁਮਹੀਲੇਹੁਉਬਾਰ॥੮॥
ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਉਬਾਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ (ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ) ॥੮॥
Thou art the creator of all and the redeemer of all.8.
ਤੁਮਹੀਦਿਨਰਜਨੀਤੁਹੀਤੁਮਹੀਜੀਅਨਉਪਾਇ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਰਾਤ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Thou art the day and night and Thou art the creator of all the Jivas (beings), causing disputes among them
ਕਉਤਕਹੇਰਨਕੇਨਮਿਤਤਿਨਮੌਬਾਦਬਢਾਇ॥੯॥
ਕੌਤਕ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ (ਤੂੰ ਹੀ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਜੀਵਾਂ) ਵਿਚ ਵਿਵਾਦ (ਝਗੜਾ) ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
Thou does all this in order to view Thy own sport.9.
ਅਸਿਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਖੰਡੋਖੜਗਸੈਫਤੇਗਤਰਵਾਰਿ॥
ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ, ਖੰਡਾ, ਖੜਗ, ਸੈਫ, ਤੇਗ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ (ਆਦਿ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਂ ਹਨ)
O Lord! Protect us by smashing the armour with the blows of Thy hands with the help of As,
ਰਛਕਰੋਹਮਰੀਸਦਾਕਵਚਾਤਕਿਕਰਵਾਰਿ॥੧੦॥
ਕਵਚਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੀ (ਉਹ) ਕਰਵਾਰ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੇ ॥੧੦॥
Kripaan (sword), Khanda, Kharag, Saif, Tegh, and Talwaar (sword).10.
ਤੁਹੀਕਟਾਰੀਦਾੜਜਮਤੂਬਿਛੂਓਅਰੁਬਾਨ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਮਦਾੜ੍ਹ, ਬਿਛੂਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣ ਹੈਂ।
Thou art Kataari, Jamdaadh, Bichhuaa and Baan, O power!
ਤੋਪਤਿਪਦਜੇਲੀਜੀਐਰਛਦਾਸਮੁਹਿਜਾਨੁ॥੧੧॥
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਜੇ (ਮੈਂ) ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੈਰ ਪਕੜੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਦਾਸ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ (ਮੇਰੀ) ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੧॥
I am a serf of Thy Lord’s feet, kindly Protect me.11.
ਬਾਕਬਜ੍ਰਬਿਛੂਓਤੁਹੀਤੁਹੀਤਬਰਤਰਵਾਰਿ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਬਾਂਕ (ਬਾਘਨਖਾ) ਬਜ੍ਰ (ਗਦਾ) ਅਤੇ ਬਿਛੂਆ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ।
Thou art Baank, bajar, Bichhuaa, Tabar, and Talwaar,
ਤੁਹੀਕਟਾਰੀਸੈਹਥੀਕਰੀਐਰਛਹਮਾਰਿ॥੧੨॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਟਾਰ, ਸੈਹਥੀ ਹੈਂ, (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੨॥
Thou art the kataari, and Saihathi Protect me.12.
ਤੁਮੀਗੁਰਜਤੁਮਹੀਗਦਾਤੁਮਹੀਤੀਰਤੁਫੰਗ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਗੁਰਜ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਗਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਫੰਗ (ਬੰਦੂਕ) ਹੈਂ।
Thou art Gurj, Gadaa (mace), Teer (arrow) and Tufang
ਦਾਸਜਾਨਿਮੋਰੀਸਦਾਰਛਕਰੋਸਰਬੰਗ॥੧੩॥
(ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ) ਦਾਸ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੩॥
Protect me ever considering me as Thy slave.13.
ਛੁਰੀਕਲਮਰਿਪੁਕਰਦਭਨਿਖੰਜਰਬੁਗਦਾਨਾਇ॥
ਛੁਰੀ, ਕਲਮ-ਰਿਪੁ, (ਕਲਮ ਦਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਚਾਕੂ) ਕਰਦ, ਖੰਜਰ, ਬੁਗਦਾ (ਛੁਰਾ ਜਾਂ ਟੋਕਾ) ਆਦਿਕ ਨਾਂਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ) ਕਹੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Thou art the Chhurri, the enemy-killing karad and the Khanjar (dagger) are Thy names
ਅਰਧਰਿਜਕਸਭਜਗਤਕੋਮੁਹਿਤੁਮਲੇਹੁਬਚਾਇ॥੧੪॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਣ ਯੋਗ ('ਅਰਧ') ਰਿਜ਼ਕ (ਰੋਜ਼ੀ)! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ ॥੧੪॥
Thou art the adorable Power of the world, kindly protect me.14.
ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮਉਪਾਵਹੁਜਗਤਤੁਮਤੁਮਹੀਪੰਥਬਨਾਇ॥
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, (ਫਿਰ) ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ (ਵਖਰੇ ਵਖਰੇ) ਪੰਥ (ਧਰਮ-ਮਾਰਗ-ਸੰਪ੍ਰਦਾਇ) ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ।
Firstly Thou createst the world, and then the Paths
ਆਪਤੁਹੀਝਗਰਾਕਰੋਤੁਮਹੀਕਰੋਸਹਾਇ॥੧੫॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਝਗੜਾ ਖੜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ (ਵਿਵਾਦ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ॥੧੫॥
Then Thou crreatest the disputes and also help them.15.
ਮਛਕਛਬਾਰਾਹਤੁਮਤੁਮਬਾਵਨਅਵਤਾਰ॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਮੱਛ, ਕੱਛ, ਬਾਰਾਹ (ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ) ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਬਾਵਨ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹੋ।
Thou art Machh (fish incarnation), Kachh (tortoise incarnation) and Varaha (the boar incarnation)
ਨਾਰਸਿੰਘਬਊਧਾਤੁਹੀਤੁਹੀਜਗਤਕੋਸਾਰ॥੧੬॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਧ (ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਰ-ਤੱਤ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੬॥
Thou art also the Dwarf incarnation Thou art also narsingh and Buddha and Thou art the Essence of the whole world.16.
ਤੁਹੀਰਾਮਸ੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਤੁਮਤੁਹੀਬਿਸਨੁਕੋਰੂਪ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ।
Thou art Rama, Krishna and Vishnu
ਤੁਹੀਪ੍ਰਜਾਸਭਜਗਤਕੀਤੁਹੀਆਪਹੀਭੂਪ॥੧੭॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭॥
Thou art the subjects of the whole world and Thou art also the Sovereign.17.
ਤੁਹੀਬਿਪ੍ਰਛਤ੍ਰੀਤੁਹੀਤੁਹੀਰੰਕਅਰੁਰਾਉ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈਂ।
Thou art the Brahmin, Kshatriya, the king and the poor
ਸਾਮਦਾਮਅਰੁਡੰਡਤੂੰਤੁਮਹੀਭੇਦਉਪਾਉ॥੧੮॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਮ, ਦਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਦੰਡ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਭੇਦ ਹੈਂ (ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ) ਉਪਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੮॥
Thou art also Sama, Sama, Dand and Bhed and also other remedies.18.
ਸੀਸਤੁਹੀਕਾਯਾਤੁਹੀਤੈਪ੍ਰਾਨੀਕੇਪ੍ਰਾਨ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਿਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਾਇਆ (ਸ਼ਰੀਰ) ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹੈਂ।
Thou art the head, trunk and the life-force of all the creatures
ਤੈਬਿਦ੍ਯਾਜੁਗਬਕਤ੍ਰਹੁਇਕਰੇਬੇਦਬਖ੍ਯਾਨ॥੧੯॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਹੈਂ (ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ) ਯੁਗਾਂ (ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਜਿੰਨੇ) ਮੁਖਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਖਿਆਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੯॥
The whole world imbibes all the learning from Thee and elucidates the Vedas.19.
ਬਿਸਿਖਬਾਨਧਨੁਖਾਗ੍ਰਭਨਸਰਕੈਬਰਜਿਹਨਾਮ॥
