ਬਿਗੀਰਦਕਸੇਹਰਦੁਆਹੂਬੁਰਾਕ॥
ਹਿਰਨ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ ਚਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਘੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਪਕੜਦਾ।
‘No one could dare to take away those horses,
ਤੁਓਰਾਬਿਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਖ਼ੁਦਦਸਤਤਾਕ॥੫੫॥
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਖ਼ੁਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਘੋੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੫੫॥
‘But you gave her one yourself.(55)
ਚਰਾਮੇਕੁਨਦਕਾਰਹਾਬੇਖ਼ੁਦੀ॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਬੇਸਮਝੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੀਤਾ?
‘Why, sire, did you take an oblivious decision.
ਕਿਰਾਹਾਅਜ਼ੋਮਨਸੁਰਾਹਾਤੁਈਂ॥੫੬॥
ਰਾਹੋ ਘੋੜਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਸੁਰਾਹੋ ਘੋੜਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੬॥
‘Rahu, she had stolen but you gave her Surahu yourself.’(56)
ਬਿਬੁਰਦਸ਼ਅਜ਼ੋਅਸਪਹਰਦੋਅਜ਼ੀਮ॥
ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਘੋੜੇ ਉਹ ਲੜਕੀ ਲੈ ਗਈ
Both the horses she took away,
ਵਜ਼ਾਰਾਬਿਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਹੁਕਮੇਾਂਰਹੀਮ॥੫੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੫੭॥
And, with godly compassion, she handed over them to her friend.(57)
ਕਿਓਰਾਦਰਾਵੁਰਦਖ਼ਾਨਹਨਿਕਾਹ॥
ਉਸ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।
He married her and brought her home,
ਕਿਕੌਲੇਕੁਨਦਮੁਸਤਕੀਮਹੁਕਮਸ਼ਾਹ॥੫੮॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਚਨ ਨਿਭਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੫੮॥
And, with celestial grace, full-filled his promise.(58)
ਬਿਦਿਹਸਾਕੀਯਾਸਾਗ਼ਰੇਕੋਕਨਾਰ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਕੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੋਸਤ ਦੇ ਡੋਡਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼
(The Poet says), ‘Give me the cup full of liquidated poppy-husk,
ਦਰੇਵਕਤਜੰਗਸ਼ਬਿਯਾਮਦਬਕਾਰ॥੫੯॥
ਜੋ ਜੰਗ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਆ ਸਕੇ ॥੫੯॥
‘Which may help me at the time of struggle.(59)
ਕਿਖ਼ੂਬਸਤਦਰਵਕਤਖ਼ਸਮਅਫ਼ਕਨੀ॥
ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ (ਇਸ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਦਾ ਪੀਣਾ) ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।
‘Also it is reliable to beat the enemy.
ਕਿਯਕਕੁਰਤਯਸਫ਼ੀਲਰਾਪੈਕਨੀ॥੬੦॥੧੧॥
ਇਸ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਘੁਟ ਪੀ ਕੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦॥੧੧॥
‘Even one sip of this makes one feel like an elephant.’(60)(11)
ੴਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫ਼ਤਹ॥
The Lord is One and the Victory is of the True Guru.
ਰਜ਼ਾਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦਏਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ॥
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਨੰਦ-ਦਾਇਕ, ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ,
He is blissful and endows abundance of amenities
ਰਿਹਾਈਦਿਹੋਪਾਕਪਰਵਰਦਗਾਰ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਿਕ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁੜਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
He is nurturer and emancipators(1)
ਰਹੀਮੋਕਰੀਮੋਮਕੀਨੋਮਕਾ॥
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰਹਿਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਮਕਾਨਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ, ਮਕਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਣ ਵਾਲਾ,
He is compassionate and provider of shelter
ਅਜ਼ੀਮੋਫ਼ਹੀਮੋਜ਼ਮੀਨੋਜ਼ਮਾ॥੨॥
ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਭੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
He is magnanimous and knows all in the earth and heavens(2)
ਸ਼ੁਨੀਦਮਸੁਖ਼ਨਕੋਹਕੈਬਰਅਜ਼ੀਮ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਸਤ ਮੁਖੜਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
I have heard a Tale at the lofty Khaiber Mountains
ਕਿਅਫ਼ਗਾਯਕੇਬੂਦਓਜਾਰਹੀਮ॥੩॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਸਤ ਮੁਖੜਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
There lived a Pathan whose name was Raheem(3)
ਯਕੇਬਾਨੂਏਬੂਦਓਹਮਚੁਮਾਹ॥
ਕਿ ਉਥੇ ਇਕ ਰਹੀਮ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਫ਼ਗ਼ਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੩॥
He had a wife who was as delightful as moon
ਕੁਨਦਦੀਦਨਸ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਗ਼ਰਦਨਜ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਹ॥੪॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇਕ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਸੀ।
Her looks alone were homicidal for many a Princes(4)
ਦੋਅਬਰੂਚੁਅਬਰੇਬਹਾਰਾਕੁਨਦ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਰਦਨਾਂ ਵੀ ਝੁਕ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ॥੪॥
Like the clouds of rainy-season
ਬਮਿਯਗਾਚੁਅਜ਼ਤੀਰਬਾਰਾਕੁਨਦ॥੫॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਭਰਵੱਟੇ ਬਰਖਾ ਰੁਤ ਦੇ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ (ਕਾਲੇ) ਸਨ
her eyelashes had electrifying effect Which struck them (the princes) like arrows(5)
ਰੁਖ਼ੇਚੂੰਖ਼ਲਾਸੀਦਿਹਦਮਾਹਿਰਾ॥
ਅਤੇ ਪਲਕਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ (ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦੇ) ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ॥੫॥
The shine from her face made them to forget even the moon
ਬਹਾਰੇਗੁਲਿਸਤਾਦਿਹਦਸ਼ਾਹਿਰਾ॥੬॥
ਉਹ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
To all the Princes she was epitome of the garden in the spring(6)
ਬਅਬਰੂਕਮਾਨੇਸ਼ੁਦਾਨਾਜ਼ਨੀਂ॥
ਉਹ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਸੰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਖਿੜਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੬॥
Her eyelids were twined like a bow
ਬਚਸ਼ਮਸ਼ਜ਼ਨਦਕੈਬਰੈਕਹਰਗੀਂ॥੭॥
ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਭਰਵੱਟੇ ਕਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਸਨ।
And they shot out calamitous arrows(7)
ਸ਼ੁਨੀਦਮਸੁਖ਼ਨਕੋਹਕੈਬਰਅਜ਼ੀਮ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੈਣ ਕਹਿਰ ਭਰੇ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੭॥
Her looks accorded the ecstasy of wine
ਗੁਲਿਸਤਾਕੁਨਦਬੂਮਸ਼ੋਰੀਦਦਸਤ॥੮॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵੇਖਣਾ ਉਜਾੜ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਲਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵਿਚ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ ॥੮॥
And as well as desolated the blooming gardens(8)
ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੇਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਜਮਾਲੋਕਮਾਲੋਹੁਸਨ॥
ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੜਾ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸੀ।
She was ravishingly beautiful and surpassed all norms of exquisiteness
ਬਸੂਰਤਜਵਾਨਸਤਫ਼ਿਕਰੇਕੁਹਨ॥੯॥
ਉਹ (ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਜਵਾਨ ਸੂਰਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਸੋਚ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਸੀ। (ਭਾਵ-ਸੋਚ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਹ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਤਜਰਬਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ) ॥੯॥
She was graceful no doubt but she possessed archaic thought(9)
ਯਕੇਹਸਨਖ਼ਾਬੂਦਓਜਾਫ਼ਗਾ॥
ਉਥੇ ਇਕ ਹਸਨ ਖ਼ਾਨ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਫ਼ਗਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
There lived a Pathan
ਬਦਾਨਸ਼ਹਮੀਬੂਦਅਕਲਸ਼ਜਵਾ॥੧੦॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਲ ਜਵਾਨ ਸਨ ॥੧੦॥
called Hassan Khan at the same place The wisdom of his thought was quite mature(10)
ਕੁਨਦਦੋਸਤੀਬਾਹਮਹਯਕਦਿਗਰ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੜਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
They both loved each other so much
ਕਿਲੈਲੀਵਮਜਨੂੰਖ਼ਿਜ਼ਲਗਸ਼ਤਸਰ॥੧੧॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਲੈਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਜਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਸ਼ਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ॥੧੧॥
That even Majnu (Romeo) and Laila (Juliet) would have been envious of them(11)
ਚੁਬਾਯਕਦਿਗ਼ਰਹਮਚੁਨੀਗਸ਼ਤਮਸਤ॥
ਉਹ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨੇ ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ
The love in them became so intense
ਚੁਪਾਅਜ਼ਰਕਾਬੋਇਨਾਰਫ਼ਤਦਸਤ॥੧੨॥
ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਰਕਾਬਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲਗ਼ਾਮਾਂ ਛੁਟ ਗਈਆਂ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹੋਸ਼ ਹਵਾਸ ਖੋਹ ਬੈਠੇ) ॥੧੨॥
That they lost the control of reins and stirrups(12)
ਤਲਬਕਰਦਓਖ਼ਾਨਏਖ਼ਿਲਵਤੇ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਇਕਲਿਆਂ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ।
She invited him home all alone
ਮਿਯਾਆਮਦਸ਼ਜੋਬਦਨਸ਼ਹਵਤੇ॥੧੩॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮ ਦਾ ਵੇਗ ਛਾ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੩॥
And seeing him she was over-powered with lust(13)
ਹਮੀਂਜੁਫ਼ਤਖ਼ੁਰਦੰਦਦੁਸੇਚਾਰਮਾਹ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੋ ਚਾਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ,
When eating and drinking
ਖ਼ਬਰਕਰਦਜੋਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੇਨਿਜ਼ਦਸ਼ਾਹ॥੧੪॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੧੪॥
two three and four months had passed by One of their enemies informed the Master(14)
ਬਹੈਰਤਦਰਾਮਦਫ਼ਗਾਨੇਰਹੀਮ॥
(ਇਹ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਰਹੀਮ ਖ਼ਾਨ ਪਠਾਣ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
Raheem Khan Pathan flew into rage
ਕਸ਼ੀਦਨਯਕੇਤੇਗ਼ਗਰਰਾਅਜ਼ੀਮ॥੧੫॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਖਿਚ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਗਜਿਆ ॥੧੫॥
And roaring drew his sword from the scabbard(15)
ਚੁਖ਼ਬਰਸ਼ਰਸੀਦੋਕਿਆਮਦਸ਼ੌਹਰ॥
ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
When she received the news that her husband was coming
ਹੁਮਾਯਾਰਖ਼ੁਦਰਾਬਿਜ਼ਦਤੇਗ਼ਸਰ॥੧੬॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਵਖ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੬॥
She killed that man with a sword(16)
ਹਮਹਿਗੋਸ਼ਤੋਦੇਗ਼ਅੰਦਰਨਿਹਾਦ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਾਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਦੇਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
She put his meat in a saucepan
ਮਸਾਲਯਬਿਅੰਦਾਖ਼ਤਆਤਸ਼ਬਿਦਾਦ॥੧੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਮਸਾਲੇ ਪਾ ਕੇ (ਹੇਠਾਂ) ਅੱਗ ਬਾਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੧੭॥
added spices And put it on fire(17)
ਸ਼ੌਹਰਰਾਖ਼ੁਰਾਨੀਦਬਾਕੀਬਿਮਾਦ॥
(ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਾਸ) ਘਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਖਵਾਇਆ
She served that cooked meat to her husband
ਹਮਹਨੌਕਰਾਰਾਜ਼ਿਆਫ਼ਤਕੁਨਾਦ॥੧੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਬਚ ਰਹੇ ਨਾਲ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਭੋਜ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ॥੧੮॥
With what was left over she entertained the servants(18)
