ਕਿਤੇ ਭੂਤ-ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ
ਸੁਕਹੂੰਕਮਧਉਠੰਤ॥
ਕਿਤੇ ਧੜ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਹਨ,
Somewhere the ghosts and fiends shouted and somewhere the headless trunks began to rise in the battlefield
ਕਹੂੰਨਾਚਬੀਰਬੈਤਾਲ॥
ਕਿਤੇ ਬੈਤਾਲ ਬੀਰ ਨੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ
ਸੋਬਮਤਡਾਕਣਿਜੁਆਲ॥੭੮੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਡਾਕਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਗ ਉਗਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੭੮੧॥
Somewhere the brave Baitals danced and somewhere the Vampires raised flames of fire.781.
ਰਣਘਾਇਘਾਏਵੀਰ॥
ਸੂਰਮੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਖਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ,
ਸਭਸ੍ਰੋਣਭੀਗੇਚੀਰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਭਿੱਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
The garments of warriors were saturated with blood, on being wounded in the battlefield
ਇਕਬੀਰਭਾਜਿਚਲੰਤ॥
ਇਕ ਸੂਰਮੇ (ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ) ਭੱਜੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਇਕਆਨਜੁਧਜੁਟੰਤ॥੭੮੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਆ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁੱਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੭੮੨॥
On one side the warriors are running away and on the other side they are coming and fighting in the war.782.
ਇਕਐਂਚਐਂਚਕਮਾਨ॥
ਇਕ ਕਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੱਚ-ਖਿੱਚ ਕੇ
ਤਕਵੀਰਮਾਰਤਬਾਨ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕ-ਤਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
On one side, the warriors are stretching their bows and discharging arrows
ਇਕਭਾਜਭਾਜਮਰੰਤ॥
ਇਕ ਭੱਜਦੇ-ਭੱਜਦੇ ਮਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ,
ਨਹੀਸੁਰਗਤਉਨਬਸੰਤ॥੭੮੩॥
ਉਹ ਸੁਅਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸ ਸਕਦੇ ॥੭੮੩॥
On the other side they are running away and brathing their last, but not getting a place in the heaven.783.
ਗਜਰਾਜਬਾਜਅਨੇਕ॥
ਹਾਥੀ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮਰ ਗਏ,
ਜੁਝੇਨਬਾਚਾਏਕ॥
ਇਕ ਵੀ ਜਿਊਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਿਆ,
Many elephants and horses died and not even one was saved
ਤਬਆਨਲੰਕਾਨਾਥ॥
ਤਦ ਫਿਰ ਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ
ਜੁਝਯੋਸਿਸਨਕੇਸਾਥ॥੭੮੪॥
ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੭੮੪॥
Then Vibhishan, the Lord of Lanka, fought with the boys.784.

ਲੰਕੇਸਕੇਉਰਮੋਤਕਬਾਨ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਲਵ) ਨੇ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕ ਕੇ
ਮਾਰਯੋਰਾਮਸਿਸਤਜਿਕਾਨ॥
ਅਤੇ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ
The sons of Ram pulling their bows shot an arrow in the heart of the king of Lanka
ਤਬਗਿਰਯੋਦਾਨਵਸੁਭੂਮਿਮਧ॥
ਤਾਂ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ,
ਤਿਹਬਿਸੁਧਜਾਣਨਹੀਕੀਯੋਬਧ॥੭੮੫॥
ਪਰ ਬੇਸੁੱਧ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ (ਲਵ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥੭੮੫॥
That demon fell down on the earth and considering him unconscious, the boys did not kill him.785.
ਤਬਰੁਕਯੋਤਾਸਸੁਗ੍ਰੀਵਆਨ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਸੁਗ੍ਰੀਵ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਅੜ ਖੜੋਤਾ (ਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ-)
ਕਹਾਜਾਤਬਾਲਨਹੀਪੈਸਜਾਨ॥
ਹੇ ਬਾਲਕ! ਕਿਥੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ? ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਏਂਗਾ।
Then Sugriva came and stopped there and said, “O boys! where are you going? You cannot get away and remain safe.”
ਤਬਹਣਯੋਬਾਣਤਿਹਭਾਲਤਕ॥
ਤਦੋਂ (ਲਵ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੱਥਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰਿਆ,
ਤਿਹਲਗਯੋਭਾਲਮੋਰਹਯੋਚਕ॥੭੮੬॥
ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ (ਉਹ) ਹੱਕਾ-ਬੱਕਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ॥੭੮੬॥
Then the boys of the sage made a target of his forehead and shot his arrow which struck his forehead and feeling the sharpness of the arrow, he became actionless.786.
ਚਪਚਲੀਸੈਣਕਪਣੀਸੁਕ੍ਰੁਧ॥
ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ (ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ) ਚਿੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਚਲ ਪਈ,
ਨਲਨੀਲਹਨੂਅੰਗਦਸੁਜੁਧ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ) ਨਲ, ਨੀਲ, ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਦ ਆਦਿ ਯੋਧੇ ਸਨ।
On seeing this the whole army was pressed and in great fury, they began to fight alongwith Nal, Neel, Hanuman and Angad
ਤਬਤੀਨਤੀਨਲੈਬਾਲਬਾਨ॥
ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ-ਤਿੰਨ ਤੀਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ
ਤਿਹਹਣੋਭਾਲਮੋਰੋਸਠਾਨ॥੭੮੭॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੭੮੭॥
Then the boys took three arrows each and shot them on the foreheads of all.787.
ਜੋਗਏਸੂਰਸੋਰਹੇਖੇਤ॥
ਜੋ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਗਏ, ਉਹ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰਹੇ,
ਜੋਬਚੇਭਾਜਤੇਹੁਇਅਚੇਤ॥
ਜੋ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਜਾਂ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਹੀ ਬਚੇ।
Those who remained in the field, they embraced death an those who survived lost their senses and ran away
ਤਬਤਕਿਤਕਿਸਿਸਕਸਿਬਾਣ॥
ਤਦ ਤਕ-ਤਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਸ-ਕਸ ਕੇ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਏ
ਦਲਹਤਯੋਰਾਘਵੀਤਜਿਕਾਣਿ॥੭੮੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੭੮੮॥
Then those boys tightly shot their arrows on their arrows on their targets and destroyed fearlessly the forces of Ram.788.

ਸੁਕੋਪਿਦੇਖਿਕੈਬਲੰਸੁਕ੍ਰੁਧਰਾਘਵੀਸਿਸੰ॥
ਬਲਵਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਚਿਤ੍ਰਤਸਰੰਬਬਰਖਬਰਖਣੋਰਣੰ॥
ਵਿਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
Seeing the strength and rage of the boys (sons) of Ram and visualizing that volley of arrows in that wonderful type of war,
ਭਭਜਿਆਸੁਰੀਸੁਤੰਉਠੰਤਭੇਕਰੀਧੁਨੰ॥
ਰਾਖਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਆਦਿ) ਭੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਧੁੰਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਭ੍ਰਮੰਤਕੁੰਡਲੀਕ੍ਰਿਤੰਪਪੀੜਦਾਰਣੰਸਰੰ॥੭੮੯॥
(ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬਾਲਕ) ਗੋਲ ਘੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਖਤ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਉਠਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੭੮੯॥
The army of demons, raising terrible sound, fled away and wandered circularly.789.
ਘੁਮੰਤਘਾਇਲੋਘਣੰਤਤਛਬਾਣਣੋਬਰੰ॥
ਬਹੁਤੇ ਫੱਟੜ ਘੁੰਮਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਭਭਜਕਾਤਰੋਕਿਤੰਗਜੰਤਜੋਧਣੋਜੁਧੰ॥
ਕਿਤਨੇ ਕਾਇਰ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ।
Many wounded warriors after being shot by sharp arrows began to wander and many warriors began to wander and many warriors began to roar and many of them becoming helpless breathed their last
ਚਲੰਤਤੀਛਣੋਅਸੰਖਿਮੰਤਧਾਰਉਜਲੰ॥

ਅੰਗਦ, ਕੇਸਰੀ, ਹਨੂਮਾਨ, ਸੁਗ੍ਰੀਵ ਆਦਿ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ ॥੭੯੦॥
The sharp sword of white edges were struck in the battlefield, the strength of Angad, Hanuman, Sugriva etc. began to wean away.790.
ਗਿਰੰਤਆਮੁਰੰਰਣੰਭਭਰਮਆਸੁਰੀਸਿਸੰ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ) ਮਾਨੋ ਹਵਾ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
ਤਜੰਤਸੁਆਮਣੋਘਰੰਭਜੰਤਪ੍ਰਾਨਲੇਭਟੰ॥
ਧੂੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਹੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਲਟੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਉਠੰਤਅੰਧਧੁੰਧਣੋਕਬੰਧਬੰਧਤੰਕਟੰ॥
ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁੜੇਲਾਂ ਚੀਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਿਦੜੀਆਂ ਫਿਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਲਗੰਤਬਾਣਾਣੋਬਰੰਗਿਰੰਤਭੂਮਿਅਹਵਯੰ॥੭੯੧॥
ਭੂਤ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਬੋਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਕਣੀਆਂ ਡਕਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਫਿਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੭੯੨॥
ਪਪਾਤਬ੍ਰਿਛਣੰਧਰੰਬਬੇਗਮਾਰਤੁਜਣੰ॥
ਮੁਖੀ ਯੋਧੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਧੜਾ-ਧੜ ਡਿੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਭਰੰਤਧੂਰਭੂਰਣੰਬਮੰਤਸ੍ਰੋਣਤੰਮੁਖੰ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸਰੀਰ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਗੜੁੱਚ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ) ਡਰਾਉਣੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
