ਬ੍ਰਿਜਭਾਮਿਨਆਪਹੁਚੀਦਵਰੀਸੁਧਿਹਿਯਾਜੁਰਹੀਨਕਛੂਮੁਖਕੀ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੌੜਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਖ ਦੀ ਸੁਧ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਯਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
The women of Braja have come there running and forgetting the consciousness of their mind and body
ਮੁਖਕੋਪਿਖਿਰੂਪਕੇਬਸ੍ਰਯਭਈਮਤਹ੍ਵੈਅਤਿਹੀਕਹਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਕੀ॥
(ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ) ਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਵਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਤਿ ਮਤਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ 'ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ' ਪੁਕਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਇਕਝੂਮਿਪਰੀਇਕਗਾਇਉਠੀਤਨਮੈਇਕਹ੍ਵੈਰਹਿਗੀਸੁਜਕੀ॥੪੪੭॥
ਇਕ ਝੂਮ ਕੇ (ਡਿਗ) ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਇਕ ਗਾ ਉਠੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਦੀਵਾਨੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੪੪੭॥
On seeing the face of Krishna, they have been highly enchanted by his beauty that someone swung and fell down, someone got up singing and someone is lying inactive.447.
ਹਰਿਕੀਸੁਨਿਕੈਸੁਰਸ੍ਰਉਨਨਮੈਸਭਧਾਇਚਲੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਮਿਸਖੀ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ (ਮੁਰਲੀ ਦੀ) ਸੁਰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਦਬਾਦਬ ਚਲ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
Hearing the sound (of the flute) with their ears, all the women of Braja ran towards Krishna
ਸਭਮੈਨਕੇਹਾਥਿਗਈਬਧਕੈਸਭਸੁੰਦਰਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੀਪੇਖਿਅਖੀ॥
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
Seeing the wanton eyes of beautiful Krishna, they have been entrapped by the god of love
ਨਿਕਰੀਗ੍ਰਿਹਤੇਮ੍ਰਿਗਨੀਸਮਮਾਨਹੁਗੋਪਿਨਤੇਨਹਿਜਾਹਿਰਖੀ॥
(ਉਹ) ਘਰੋਂ ਹਿਰਨੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਿਕਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਮਾਨੋ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਬੰਸਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੁਰ ਰੂਪ ਘੰਡਾਹੇੜੇ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਗਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕੀਆਂ।
They have left their houses like deer as if they got their release from gopas and have come to Krishna,
ਇਹਭਾਤਿਹਰੀਪਹਿਆਇਗਈਜਨੁਆਇਗਈਸੁਧਿਜਾਨਿਸਖੀ॥੪੪੮॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਮਾਨੋ ਸਖੀ ਨੂੰ (ਦੂਜੀ ਸਖੀ ਦੇ ਉਥੇ ਹੋਣ ਬਾਰੇ) ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਸੁਧ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੪੪੮॥
Getting impatient and meeting him like one woman with the other woman on knowing his address.448.
ਗਈਆਇਦਸੋਦਿਸਤੇਗੁਪੀਆਸਭਹੀਰਸਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੇਸਾਥਪਗੀ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਭਿੰਨੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
Enchanted by the tune of Krihsna, the gopis have reached him from all the ten directions
ਪਿਖਕੈਮੁਖਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੋਚੰਦਕਲਾਸੁਚਕੋਰਨਸੀਮਨਮੈਉਮਗੀ॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਰਗਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਮੁਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚਕੋਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਮੰਗ ਭਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
On seeing the face of Krishna, their mind has been emotionally charmed like the partridge on seeing the moon
ਹਰਿਕੋਪੁਨਿਸੁਧਿਸੁਆਨਨਪੇਖਿਕਿਧੌਤਿਨਕੀਠਗਡੀਠਲਗੀ॥
ਫਿਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਸਰੂਪ ਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਠਗਣੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਲਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
Again seeing the beautiful face of Krishna, the sight of gopis has stayed there
ਭਗਵਾਨਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿਭਯੋਪਿਖਕੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਮਨੋਮ੍ਰਿਗਦੇਖਮ੍ਰਿਗੀ॥੪੪੯॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ (ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਹਿਰਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਨ (ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ) ॥੪੪੯॥
Krishna also is getting pleased on beholding them like the deer seeing the doe.449.
ਗੋਪਿਨਕੀਬਰਜੀਨਰਹੀਸੁਰਕਾਨਰਕੀਸੁਨਬੇਕਹੁਤ੍ਰਾਘੀ॥
(ਉਹ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ) ਗਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੋਕਿਆਂ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਰੁਕੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੀ (ਬੰਸਰੀ ਦੀ) ਸੁਰ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਤਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ।
Though forbidden by the gopas, the impetuous gopis, got impatient, for listening to the tune of Krishna’s flute
ਨਾਖਿਚਲੀਅਪਨੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਇਉਜਿਮੁਮਤਿਜੁਗੀਸ੍ਵਰਇੰਦ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਘੀ॥
ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ (ਕੰਮਾਂ-ਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਲੰਘ ਗਈਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯੋਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਦੀ ਮਤ ਇੰਦਰ ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਟਪ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
They have forsaken their houses and are moving in intoxication like Shiva moving, without caring for Indra
ਦੇਖਨਕੋਮੁਖਿਤਾਹਿਚਲੀਜੋਊਕਾਮਕਲਾਹੂੰਕੋਹੈਫੁਨਿਬਾਘੀ॥
ਕਾਮ-ਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਥਾਹ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਮੁਖ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਚਲ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
In order to see the face of Krishna and full of lust,
ਡਾਰਿਚਲੀਸਿਰਕੇਪਟਇਉਜਨੁਡਾਰਿਚਲੀਸਭਲਾਜਬਹਾਘੀ॥੪੫੦॥
ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਉਤਾਰ ਕੇ) ਸੁਟ ਚਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਸਾਰੀ ਲੋਕ ਲਾਜ ਸੁਟ ਕੇ (ਨਾਂਗੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੋਲੀ) ਚਲੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੪੫੦॥
Even abandoning the head-dress, they are moving forsaking all shyness.450.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੇਪਾਸਿਗਈਜਬਹੀਤਬਹੀਸਭਗੋਪਿਨਲੀਨਸੁਸੰਙਾ॥
ਜਦੋਂ (ਉਹ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਗਈਆਂ, ਤਦੋਂ (ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੇ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਚੀਰਪਰੇਗਿਰਕੈਤਨਭੂਖਨਟੂਟਗਈਤਿਨਹਾਥਨਬੰਙਾ॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ) ਤਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਡਿਗ ਕੇ ਪਰੇ (ਜਾ ਪਏ) ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੰਗਾਂ ਟੁਟ ਗਈਆਂ।
When the gopis reached near Krishna, their consciousness returned and they saw that their ornaments and garments had fallen down and in their impatience, the bangles of their hands had broken
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੋਰੂਪਨਿਹਾਰਿਸਭੈਗੁਪੀਆਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਈਇਕਰੰਙਾ॥
ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਵੀ (ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ) ਇਕ ਰੰਗ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ
ਹੋਇਗਈਤਨਮੈਸਭਹੀਇਕਰੰਗਮਨੋਸਭਛੋਡਕੈਸੰਙਾ॥੪੫੧॥
(ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇਕਮਿਕ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ) ਮਾਨੋ ਸਭ ਸੰਗ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਨਮੈ ਹੋਕੇ ਇਕ ਰੰਗ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੪੫੧॥
Seeing the countenance of Krishna, became one with him and intoxicated with this unison they all cast away their shyness of body and mind.451.
ਗੋਪਿਨਭੂਲਿਗਈਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੀਸੁਧਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਹੀਕੇਰਸਭੀਤਰਰਾਚੀ॥
ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਧ-ਬੁਧ ਭੁਲ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰਚਮਿਚ ਗਈਆਂ।
Imbued with the love of Krishna, the gopis forgot the consciousness about their houses
ਭਉਹਭਰੀਮਧੁਰੀਬਰਨੀਸਭਹੀਸੁਢਰੀਜਨੁਮੈਨਕੇਸਾਚੀ॥
ਭਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਭਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ, ਮਧਰੀਆਂ, (ਸੁੰਦਰ) ਪਲਕਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਂਚੇ ਵਿਚ ਢਲੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ।
Their eyebrows and eyelashes were showering wine and it appeared that the god of love had himself created them
ਛੋਰਦਏਰਸਅਉਰਨਸ੍ਵਾਦਭਲੇਭਗਵਾਨਹੀਸੋਸਭਮਾਚੀ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਭਲੀ ਭਾਂਤ ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਸੋਭਤਤਾਤਨਮੈਹਰਿਕੋਮਨੋਕੰਚਨਮੈਚੁਨੀਆਚੁਨਿਖਾਚੀ॥੪੫੨॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀਰੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੁਕੜੀਆਂ ਚੁਣ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਜੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੪੫੨॥
They forgot all other pleasures except their absorption in the love of Krishna and looked splendid like the select idols of gold heaped together.452.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੋਰੂਪਨਿਹਾਰਿਰਹੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਮੈਜੁਹੁਤੀਗੁਪੀਆਅਤਿਹਾਛੀ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
