ਸੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਮਿਬਿਖੈਰਸਕੈਹਿਤਖੇਲਤਹੈਫੁਨਿਗੋਪਿਨਸਾਥਾ॥੪੬੪॥
ਓਹੀ ਫਿਰ ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਸ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੬੪॥
He is the same, who is absorbed in amorous play with the gopis at this time.464.
ਹਸਿਕੈਹਰਿਜੂਬ੍ਰਿਜਮੰਡਲਮੈਸੰਗਗੋਪਿਨਕੇਇਕਹੋਡਬਦੀ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਹਸ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਮੰਡਲ ਵਿਚ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਲਗਾਈ
ਸਭਧਾਇਪਰੈਹਮਹੂੰਤੁਮਹੂੰਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਮਿਲਿਬੀਚਨਦੀ॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਦ ਪਈਏ।
Krishna, smilingly talked about a play involving bet, with the gopis of Braja and said, “Come, let us jump into the river together
ਜਬਜਾਇਪਰੇਜਮੁਨਾਜਲਮੈਸੰਗਗੋਪਿਨਕੇਭਗਵਾਨਜਦੀ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਦ ਪਏ,
ਤਬਲੈਚੁਭਕੀਹਰਿਜੀਤ੍ਰਿਯਕੋਸੁਲਯੋਮੁਖਚੂਮਕਿਧੋਸੋਤਦੀ॥੪੬੫॥
ਤਾਂ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਡੁਬਕੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ (ਇਕ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਚੁੰਮ ਲਿਆ ॥੪੬੫॥
In this way, when Krishna jumped into the water of Yamuna alongwith the gopis, then he very quickly kissed the face of one of them after diving.465.
ਗੋਪੀਬਾਚਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਜੂਸੋ॥
ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਮਿਲਕੈਸਭਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਸੁੰਦਰਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੋਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੀਹਸਿਬਾਤਪ੍ਰਬੀਨਨ॥
ਸ਼ਿਆਮ (ਕਵੀ) ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ।
ਰਾਜਤਜਾਹਿਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਪਤਿਸੇਦ੍ਰਿਗਛਾਜਤਚੰਚਲਤਾਸਮਮੀਨਨ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਹਿਰਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਸ਼ੋਭਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਮੱਛਲੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਛਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ;
All the gopis together smilingly said cunningly to Krishna, whose beautiful eyes are big like deer and agile like fish
ਕੰਚਨਸੇਤਨਕਉਲਮੁਖੀਰਸਆਤੁਰਹੈਕਹਿਯੋਰਛਕਦੀਨਨ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਰਗੇ (ਚਮਕੀਲੇ) ਅਤੇ ਕਮਲ ਦੇ ਫੁਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਮੁਖ ਹਨ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਕਾਮ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਆਤੁਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਖਿਅਕ!
ਨੇਹੁਬਢਾਇਮਹਾਸੁਖੁਪਾਇਕਹਿਯੋਸਿਰਿਨਿਆਇਕੈਭਾਤਿਅਧੀਨਨ॥੪੬੬॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਅਧੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ (ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਪੂਰਵਕ) ਕਿਹਾ ॥੪੬੬॥
Whose body is like gold, who is the protector of the lowly, to him, with pleased mind, in extreme pleasure and bowed heads, the gopis said humbly.466.
ਅਤਿਹ੍ਵੈਰਿਝਵੰਤਕਹਿਓਗੁਪੀਆਜੁਗਤੀਸਰਮੈਪਤਿਭਯੋਜੁਕਪੀ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਰੀਝ ਕੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜੋ ਤ੍ਰੇਤਾ ਯੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ;
The gopis said joyfully, “He, who was the lord of monkeys in Treta age
ਜਿਨਿਰਾਵਨਖੇਤਿਮਰਿਓਕੁਪਕੈਜਿਹਰੀਝਿਬਿਭੀਛਨਲੰਕਥਪੀ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਕਾ (ਦਾ ਰਾਜ) ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਸੀ;
He, whoin ire, killed Ravana and was pleased to gave to kingdom to Vibhishana
ਜਿਹਕੀਜਗਬੀਚਪ੍ਰਸਿਧਕਲਾਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਕਛੁਨਾਹਿਛਪੀ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ (ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ;
Whose supernatural powers are discussed throughout the world
ਤਿਹਸੰਗਕਰੈਰਸਕੀਚਰਚਾਜਿਨਹੂੰਤਿਰੀਯਾਫੁਨਿਚੰਡਿਜਪੀ॥੪੬੭॥
ਉਸ ਨਾਲ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੪੬੭॥
” All these women are discussing with him about his amorous play they have rememberedand repeated the name of Chandi and begged from her Krishna as their husband.467.
ਜਉਰਸਬਾਤਕਹੀਗੁਪੀਆਤਬਹੀਹਰਿਜਵਾਬਦਯੋਤਿਨਸਾਫੀ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਸ ਭਿੰਨੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ, ਤਦੋਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਆਈਹੋਛੋਡਿਸਭੈਪਤਿਕੋਤੁਮਹੋਇਤੁਮੈਨਮਰੇਫੁਨਿਮਾਫੀ॥
ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਆਈਆਂ ਹੋ, (ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਮਰਨ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।
When the gopis talked about the amorous pleasure, Krishna told them plainly that they had left behind their husbands and they would not be forgiven even after death
ਹਉਤੁਮਸੋਨਹਿਹੇਤਕਰੋਤੁਮਕਾਹੇਕਉਬਾਮਕਰੋਰਸਲਾਫੀ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੋਖੀ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹੋ।
ਇਉਕਹਿਕੈਹਰਿਮੋਨਭਜੀਸੁਬਜਾਇਉਠਿਯੋਮੁਰਲੀਮਹਿਕਾਫੀ॥੪੬੮॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਚੁਪ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਮੁਰਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਤਰਜ਼ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਲਗੇ ॥੪੬੮॥
He said, “I do not love you and why do you talk to me about the pleasures of love?,” saying this Krishna became silent and began to play on the flute the tune of Kafi.468.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਾਚਗੋਪੀਸੋਂ॥
ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਹਸ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਨਗਈਹਰਿਮਾਨਕਹਿਯੋਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੋਪ੍ਰਭਮੋਹਿਰਹੀਮੁਖਿਦੇਖਸਬੈ॥
ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਗਈਆਂ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੋਹੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ।
When Krishna smilingly gave this reply to gopis, even then, they did not oney Krishna and return to their homes and remained endchanted on seeing his face
ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨੰਕਰਿਲੈਅਪਨੇਮੁਰਲੀਸੁਬਜਾਇਉਠਿਓਜੁਤਰਾਗਤਬੈ॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਰਲੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਾਗ ਸਹਿਤ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਲਗਿਆ।
Then Krishna took the flute in his hand and began to play on it
ਮਨੋਘਾਇਲਗੋਪਿਨਕੇਬ੍ਰਣਮੈਭਗਵਾਨਡਰਿਯੋਜਨੁਲੋਨਅਬੈ॥੪੬੯॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਗਾ) ਮਾਨੋ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਹੁਣੇ ਲੂਣ ਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੪੬੯॥
The tune of the flute had this impact on the gopis that they felt that Krishna had applied salt to their wounds.469.
ਜਿਉਮ੍ਰਿਗਬੀਚਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਪਿਖੀਐਹਰਿਤਿਉਗਨਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਕੇਮਧਿਸੋਭੈ॥
ਜਿਉਂ ਹਿਰਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਨ ਦਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਉਂ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਭ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Just as a deer is seen amongst the does, in the same manner Krishna was there amongst the gopis
ਦੇਖਿਜਿਸੈਰਿਪੁਰੀਝਰਹੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਨਹੀਮਨਭੀਤਰਛੋਭੈ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ (ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਵੀ ਰੀਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
Seeing Krishna, even the enemies were pleased and the glory of Krishna increased in their mind,
ਦੇਖਿਜਿਸੈਮ੍ਰਿਗਧਾਵਤਆਵਤਚਿਤਕਰੈਨਹਮੈਫੁਨਿਕੋਭੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਨ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ,
ਸੋਬਨਬੀਚਬਿਰਾਜਤਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਜੋਊਪਿਖਵੈਤਿਹਕੋਮਨੁਲੋਭੈ॥੪੭੦॥
ਉਹ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਰਾਜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸੇ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਲੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੭੦॥
Seeing whom, the deer of the forest come running and whose mind ever wants to see Krishna, the same Krishna is there in the forest and whosoever sees him, his mind becomes covetous for seeing him.470.
ਗੋਪੀਬਾਚਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਜੂਸੋ॥
ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਓਹੀ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੀਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਮਿਠੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਿਹਸਾਥਲਗੀਚਰਚਾਕਰਨੇਹਰਤਾਮਨਸਾਧਨਸੁਧਿਗਮੀ॥
ਜੋ ਸਾਧਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ) ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਗ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ
That gopi, uttering the sweet ambrosial speech said, “We are holding the discussion with him, who is the removed of the sufferings of all saints
ਤਜਕੈਅਪੁਨੇਭਰਤਾਹਮਰੀਮਤਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਜੂਊਪਰਿਤੋਹਿਰਮੀ॥
ਕਿ ਹੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਜੀ! ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ, ਸਾਡੀ ਮਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਪਰ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਅਤਿਹੀਤਨਕਾਮਕਰਾਉਪਜੀਤੁਮਕੋਪਿਖਏਨਹਿਜਾਤਛਮੀ॥੪੭੧॥
(ਸਾਡੇ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਕਾਮ-ਕਲਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜੋ (ਸਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੪੭੧॥
“We have come to Krishna after leaving our husbands because the influence of the power of lust is formidably increasing in our body and seeing you, we could not suppress those powers.”471.

(ਜਦ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ,
Krishna thought in his mind that these gopis had been intoxicated with lust on seeing him
ਤਬਹੀਤਜਿਸੰਕਸਭੈਮਨਕੀਤਿਨਕੇਸੰਗਿਮਾਨੁਖਕੇਲਕਰੀ॥
ਤਦ ਹੀ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਮਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕੀਤੀ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸੰਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ)।
Then he, without any hesitation, copulated with them like ordinary men
ਹਰਿਜੀਕਰਿਖੇਲਕਿਧੌਇਨਸੋਜਨੁਕਾਮਜਰੀਇਹਕੀਨਜਰੀ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
He absorbed himself with the gopis who were blazing with lust
ਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਪਿਖਵੋਤੁਮਕੌਤੁਕਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਹਰਿਯੋਕਿਹਰੀਸੁਹਰੀ॥੪੭੨॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੌਤਕ ਵੇਖੋ ਕਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੇ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਹਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ (ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੪੭੨॥
The poet Shyam says that in this amorous play, it is beyond comprehension whether Krishan has created the gopis or gopis have cheated Krishna.472.
ਜੋਜੁਗਤੀਸਰਮੂਰਤਿਰਾਮਧਰੀਜਿਹਅਉਰਕਰਿਯੋਅਤਿਸੀਲਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤ੍ਰੇਤਾ ਯੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਆਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ;
ਸਤ੍ਰਨਕੋਸੁਸੰਘਾਰਿਕਹੈਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰਕਸਾਧਨਕੋਹਰਿਹੀਲਾ॥
ਜੋ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਘਾਰਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ;

ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਮਲ੍ਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਲਾਵਲ ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਸੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
