(ਉਸ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਕੋਈ ਬਨੀਆ ਮਾਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਰਬੇ ('ਸਾਲਨ') ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ (ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਰੋੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭੁੰਨ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੋਰਬਾ) ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੪੯੨॥
Their mind does not abandon Krishna even for an instant it seems that someone may be endeavouring to relish the taste of meat in the taste of forest vegetables.492.

(ਪਰੀਕਸ਼ਿਤ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸੁਕਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਾਮਣਾਂ (ਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ) ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ!
ਅਗਨਿਭਾਵਕਿਹਬਿਧਿਕਹੈਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਭਾਵਕੇਸਾਥ॥੪੯੩॥
(ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਦਸੋ ਕਿ ਵਿਯੋਗ ('ਅਗਨਿ') ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਯੋਗ ('ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ') ਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੯੩॥
The king Parikshat said to Shukadev, “O great Brahmin! tell me how the states of separation and union of Krishna and gopis subsist?”493.

ਰਾਜਨਪਾਸਬ੍ਯਾਸਕੋਬਾਲਕਥਾਸੁਅਰੌਚਕਭਾਤਿਸੁਨਾਵੈ॥
ਰਾਜੇ (ਪਰੀਕਸ਼ਿਤ) ਕੋਲ ਵਿਆਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਸੁਕਦੇਵ) ਅਰੋਚਕ ਭਾਵ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨੀਆਬਿਰਹਾਨੁਲਭਾਵਕਰੈਬਿਰਹਾਨਲਕੋਉਪਜਾਵੈ॥
ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਅਗਨੀ ਦੇ ਹਾਵ ਭਾਵ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਅਗਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Then Shukadev related to the king the interesting story of the states of separation and union of Krishna and gopis and said, “The gopis were burning in separation and creating the fire of separation on all the four sides
ਪੰਚਭੂਆਤਮਲੋਗਨਕੋਇਹਕਉਤੁਕਕੈਅਤਿਹੀਡਰਪਾਵੈ॥
ਪੰਜ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੌਤਕ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਅਗਨੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ)
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੋਧ੍ਯਾਨਕਰੇਜਬਹੀਬਿਰਹਾਨਲਕੀਲਪਟਾਨਬੁਝਾਵੈ॥੪੯੪॥
ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸੰਯੋਗ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਕਲਪਨਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤਦੋਂ) ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦੀ ਅਗਨੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਪਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਝਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੪੯੪॥
Seeing this state of the gopis, the ordinary persons became fearful when the gopis thought about Krishna, the flames of separation merging their concentration began to impart suffering to them.494.
ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਸੁਰਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਏਕਬਨੈਬਛੁਰਾਸੁਰਮੂਰਤਿਏਕਧਰੈ॥
ਇਕ ਗੋਪੀ 'ਬ੍ਰਿਖਾਸੁਰ' ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ 'ਬਛੁਰਾਸੁਰ' ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਕਹ੍ਵੈਚਤੁਰਾਨਨਗ੍ਵਾਰਹਰੈਇਕਹ੍ਵੈਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਫਿਰਿਪਾਇਪਰੈ॥
ਇਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਰਾ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਇਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Someone has assumed the garb of Vrishbhasura and someone of Bahharasura someone on assuming the form of Brahma, is stealing away the gopas and also falling at the feet of Krishna
ਇਕਹ੍ਵੈਬਗੁਲਾਭਗਵਾਨਕੇਸਾਥਮਹਾਕਰਕੈਮਨਿਕੋਪਲਰੈ॥
ਇਕ ਬਗਲਾ (ਬਕਾਸੁਰ) ਬਣ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਹਭਾਤਿਬਧੂਬ੍ਰਿਜਖੇਲਕਰੈਜਿਹਭਾਤਿਕਿਧੋਨੰਦਲਾਲਕਰੈ॥੪੯੫॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨੰਦ ਲਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੪੯੫॥
Someone has become a heron and in fury is fighting against Krishna and in this way all the women of Braja are absorbed in exhibiting a play, which was played earlier by Krishna.495.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਚਰਿਤ੍ਰਸਭੈਕਰਕੈਸਭਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਫੇਰਿਲਗੀਗੁਨਗਾਵਨ॥
ਕਾਨ੍ਹ (ਵਰਗੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਫਿਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣ ਲਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਤਾਲਬਜਾਇਬਜਾਮੁਰਲੀਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਅਤਿਹੀਕਰਿਭਾਵਨ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾੜੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ, ਮੁਰਲੀ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਾਵ ਭਾਵ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Performing all the acts of Krishna, all the gopis began to sing his praises and exhibited their happiness in playing on the flute and creating various tunes
ਫੇਰਿਚਿਤਾਰਕਹਿਯੋਹਮਰੇਸੰਗਿਖੇਲਕਰਿਯੋਹਰਿਜੀਇਹਠਾਵਨ॥
ਫਿਰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਉਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੀਭੂਲਗਈਸੁਧਿਬੀਚਲਗੀਮਨਕੇਦੁਖਪਾਵਨ॥੪੯੬॥
ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸੁਧ ਭੁਲ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਣ ਲਗ ਗਈਆਂ ॥੪੯੬॥
Someone is saying that Krishna had sported with her at that place and saying such things, the gopis lost consciousness of Krishna and they endured great pangs of separation from him.496.
ਅਤਿਹੋਇਗਈਤਨਮੈਹਰਿਸਾਥਸੁਗੋਪਿਨਕੀਸਭਹੀਘਰਨੀ॥
ਗਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ (ਪ੍ਰੀਤ) ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਤਿਹਰੂਪਨਿਹਾਰਕੈਬਸਿਭਈਜੁਹੁਤੀਅਤਿਰੂਪਨਕੀਧਰਨੀ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਵਸ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
In this way, the wives of gopas were absorbed in the meditation of Krishna and those who were themselves every beautiful, they were all subdued by the beauty of Krishna
ਇਹਭਾਤਿਪਰੀਮੁਰਝਾਇਧਰੀਕਬਿਨੇਉਪਮਾਤਿਹਕੀਬਰਨੀ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਛਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰਣਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ
ਜਿਮਘੰਟਕਹੇਰਮੈਭੂਮਿਕੇਬੀਚਪਰੈਗਿਰਬਾਨਲਗੇਹਰਨੀ॥੪੯੭॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਘੰਡਾਹੇੜੇ (ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਮਸਤ ਹੋਈ ਹਿਰਨੀ ਬਾਣ ਲਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਡਿਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪੯੭॥
Seeing them withered, the poet has said, “They are lying in the condition of a doe shot by an arrow and thrown on the ground.”497.
ਬਰੁਨੀਸਰਭਉਹਨਕੋਧਨੁਕੈਸੁਸਿੰਗਾਰਕੇਸਾਜਨਸਾਥਕਰੀ॥
ਝਿਮਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਕਸ ਕੇ, ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਰਸਕੋਮਨਮੈਅਤਿਹੀਕਰਿਕੋਪਸੁਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੇਸਾਮੁਹਿਜਾਇਅਰੀ॥
ਰਸ ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਅੜ ਖੜੋਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Making arrows of their eyelashes and the bows of their eyebrows, on bedecking themselves and great rage, the gopis seemed to resist and stand before Krishna
ਅਤਿਹੀਕਰਿਨੇਹੁਕੋਕ੍ਰੋਧੁਮਨੈਤਿਹਠਉਰਤੇਪੈਗਨਏਕਟਰੀ॥
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੂਪ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਕਦਮ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਮਨੋਮੈਨਹੀਸੋਅਤਿਹੀਰਨਕੈਧਰਨੀਪਰਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਜੂਝਿਪਰੀ॥੪੯੮॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਮ ਰੂਪ ਯੋਧੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਰੂਪ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੪੯੮॥
Showing their anger in love, they were not going back even one step and seemed all to have dropped down dead in the battlefield while fighting with the god of love.498.
ਤਿਨਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਕੋਅਤਿਹੀਪਿਖਿਪ੍ਰੇਮਤਬੈਪ੍ਰਗਟੇਭਗਵਾਨਸਿਤਾਬੀ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਤਿ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਜੋਤਿਭਈਧਰਨੀਪਰਇਉਰਜਨੀਮਹਿਛੂਟਤਜਿਉਮਹਤਾਬੀ॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਹਿਤਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਛੁੱਟਣ (ਨਾਲ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ)।
Seeing the flawless love of the gopis, Krishna manifested himself quickly, on his manifestation, there was so much light on the earth, which is seen when the fireworks flash during the night
ਚਉਕਪਰੀਤਬਹੀਇਹਇਉਜੈਸੇਚਉਕਪਰੈਤਮਮੈਡਰਿਖੁਆਬੀ॥
ਇਹ (ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ) ਉਦੋਂ ਚੌਂਕ ਪਈਆਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚੌਂਕ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਛਾਡਿਚਲਿਯੋਤਨਕੋਮਨਇਉਜਿਮਭਾਜਤਹੈਗ੍ਰਿਹਛਾਡਿਸਰਾਬੀ॥੪੯੯॥
(ਗੋਪੀਆਂ) ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਤਨ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਇਉਂ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ਜਿਉਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੯੯॥
All the gopis were startled on seeing Krishna just like one startling in a dream, the mind of all of them left their bodies like a drunkard running away from his home.499.
ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਧਾਇਚਲੀਮਿਲਬੇਕਹੁਜੋਪਿਖਏਭਗਵਾਨਗੁਮਾਨੀ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਭਰੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਨੂੰ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਭਜ ਚਲੀਆਂ।
ਜਿਉਮ੍ਰਿਗਨੀਮ੍ਰਿਗਦੇਖਿਚਲੈਜੁਹੁਤੀਅਤਿਰੂਪਬਿਖੈਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ॥
ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰੂਪ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਸਨ, (ਉਹ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇਉਂ ਭਜ ਪਈਆਂ) ਜਿਉਂ ਹਿਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਨੀਆਂ ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
All the gopis seeing their proud Lord ran to meet his like the proud does meeting their deer
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੀਅਤਿਹੀਉਪਮਾਕਬਿਨੈਮੁਖਤੇਇਹਭਾਤਿਬਖਾਨੀ॥
ਉਸ ਛਬੀ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਸੀ ਹੈ,
ਜਿਉਜਲਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕਬੂੰਦਪਰੈਜਿਮਕੂਦਿਪਰੈਮਛਲੀਪਿਖਿਪਾਨੀ॥੫੦੦॥
ਜਿਉਂ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਤੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਜਾ ਪਏ ਜਾਂ ਜਿਉਂ (ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਖੜੀ ਹੋਈ) ਮੱਛੀ ਜਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਦ ਪਏ ॥੫੦੦॥
The poet has mentioned this spectacle figuratively saying that they were pleased like a rain-bird obtaining a drop of rain or a fish seeing water, jumping in it.500.
ਰਾਜਤਹੈਪੀਅਰੋਪਟਕੰਧਿਬਿਰਾਜਤਹੈਮ੍ਰਿਗਸੇਦ੍ਰਿਗਦੋਊ॥
(ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਮੋਢੇ ਉਤੇ ਪੀਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਦੁਪੱਟਾ ਸ਼ੋਭ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਨੈਣ ਹਿਰਨ (ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ) ਸੁਸਜਿਤ ਹਨ।
ਛਾਜਤਹੈਮਨਿਸੋਉਰਮੈਨਦੀਆਪਤਿਸਾਥਲੀਏਫੁਨਿਜੋਊ॥
ਛਾਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਣੀ ਸ਼ੋਭ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਸੋਂ (ਭੇਟਾ ਵਜੋਂ) ਲਈ ਸੀ।
There is yellow sheet on the shoulder of Krishna, his deer-like two eyes took splendid, he also appears magnificent as Lord of the rivers
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਫਿਰੈਤਿਨਗੋਪਿਨਮੈਜਿਹਕੀਜਗਮੈਸਮਤੁਲਿਨਕੋਊ॥
ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਿਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਇਸ ਜਗ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਰੀਝਰਹੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੀਸੋਊਰੀਝਤਹੈਚਕਦੇਖਤਸੋਊ॥੫੦੧॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੦੧॥
He is moving amongst those gopis, who are unique in the whole world, seeing Krishna, the gopis of Braja have pleased and wonder-struck.501.

ਕਉਲਜਿਉਪ੍ਰਭਾਤਤੈਬਿਛਰਿਯੋਮਿਲੀਬਾਤਤੈਗੁਨੀਜਿਉਸੁਰਸਾਤਤੈਬਚਾਯੋਚੋਰਗਾਤਤੈ॥
ਜਿਉਂ ਕਮਲ ਦਾ ਫੁਲ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ (ਦੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਤੋਂ) (ਜਿਉਂ) ਵਿਯੋਗੀ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਤੋਂ, ਜਿਉਂ ਰਾਗ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੱਤ ਸੁਰਾਂ (ਦੇ ਅਲਾਪ ਤੋਂ) ਅਤੇ ਜਿਉਂ ਚੋਰ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ (ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ);
ਜੈਸੇਧਨੀਧਨਤੈਅਉਰਿਨੀਲੋਕਮਨਿਤੈਲਰਈਯਾਜੈਸੇਰਨਤੈਤਜਈਯਾਜਿਉਨਸਾਤਤੈ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਧਨੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ, (ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਕਰਜ਼ਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ, ਜਿਉਂ ਲੜਾਕੂ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਰਣ ਦੇ ਆਰੰਭ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ (ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ);

ਜੈਸੇਦੁਖੀਸੂਖਤੈਅਭੂਖੀਜੈਸੇਭੂਖਤੈਸੁਰਾਜਾਸਤ੍ਰਆਪਨੇਕੋਸੁਨੇਜੈਸੇਘਾਤਤੈ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੁਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਭੁਖ ਨਾ ਲਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਖ ਲਗਣ ਤੋਂ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ਼ ਦੀ (ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣਨ ਤੋਂ (ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ);
ਹੋਤਹੈਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਜੇਤੇਏਤੇਏਤੀਬਾਤਨਤੈਹੋਤਹੈਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ੍ਯਗੋਪੀਤੈਸੇਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਾਤਤੈ॥੫੦੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਤਨੇ (ਆਦਮੀ) ਇਤਨੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੫੦੨॥

ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਹਸ ਕੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਚਲੋ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਉਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਕਰੀਏ।
ਚਿਟਕਾਰਨਸੋਭਿਰਕੈਤਿਹਜਾਤੁਮਹੂੰਹੂੰਤਰੋਹਮਹੂੰਹੂੰਤਰੈ॥
ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਛਿਟਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਤਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਤਰਾਂਗੇ।
