ਗੁਹਿਕੈਬਨਫੂਲਨਸੁੰਦਰਹਾਰਸੋਕੇਲਕਰੈਤਿਨਡਾਰਿਗਰੈ॥
ਬਨ ਦੇ ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹਾਰ ਗੁੰਦ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਕੇਲ-ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
ਬਿਰਹਾਛੁਧਕੋਤਿਹਠਉਰਬਿਖੈਹਸਕੈਰਸਕੈਸੰਗਿਪੇਟਭਰੈ॥੫੦੩॥
ਵਿਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਭੁਖ ਨੂੰ (ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਉਤੇ ਹਸ ਕੇ, ਰਸ (ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਕੇ) ਢਿੱਡ ਭਰ ਲਵਾਂਗੇ ॥੫੦੩॥
We may absorb ourselves in amorous play, wearing beautiful garlands, we may end the anguish of separation by our sport.503.
ਆਇਸੁਮਾਨਿਤਬੈਹਰਿਕੋਸਭਧਾਇਚਲੀਗੁਪੀਆਤਿਹਠਉਰੈ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਲਈ ਚਲ ਪਈਆਂ।
ਏਕਚਲੈਮੁਸਕਾਇਭਲੀਬਿਧਿਏਕਚਲੈਹਰੂਏਇਕਦਉਰੈ॥
(ਕੋਈ) ਇਕ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਚਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੌਲੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਤੁਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਦੌੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Agreeing with Krishna, all the gopis moved towards that place, one is walking smilinglu, the other is walking slowly and someone is running’
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਉਪਮਾਤਿਹਕੀਜਲਮੈਜਮੁਨਾਕਹੁਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਹਉਰੈ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਮਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਜਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਛਾਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਰੀਝਰਹੈਬਨਕੇਮ੍ਰਿਗਦੇਖਿਸੁਅਉਰਪਿਖੈਗਜਗਾਮਨਸਉਰੈ॥੫੦੪॥
ਬਨ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਨ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਹਾਥੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਚਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੫੦੪॥
The poet Shyam says that the gopis are swimming the Yamuna’ s water and seeing those women of the gait of the elephant acting according to the wishes of their hearts, the deer of the forest are also getting pleased.504.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਸਮੇਤਸਭੈਗੁਪੀਆਜਮੁਨਾਜਲਕੋਤਰਿਪਾਰਿਪਰਈਯਾ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ
ਪਾਰਭਈਜਬਹੀਹਿਤਸੋਗਿਰਦਾਕਰਕੈਤਿਹਕੋਤਿਸਟਈਯਾ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਪਾਰ ਹੋਈਆਂ, (ਤਦ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਖੜੋ ਗਈਆਂ।
All the gopis crossed Yamuna alongwith Krishna and went to the other side and gathering together stood in circle
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੀਅਤਿਹੀਉਪਮਾਕਬਿਨੈਮੁਖਤੇਇਹਭਾਤਿਸੁਨਈਯਾ॥
ਉਸ ਛਬੀ ਦੀ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣਾਈ।
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਭਯੋਸਸਿਸੁਧਮਨੋਸਮਰਾਜਤਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਤੀਰਤਰਈਯਾ॥੫੦੫॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ (ਇਰਦ ਗਿਰਦ) ਪਰਵਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੫੦੫॥
This spectacle appearead like this: that Krishna was like the moon and the gopis surrounding him looked like his family of stars.505.
ਬਾਤਲਗੀਕਹਨੇਮੁਖਤੇਕਵਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਮਿਲਕੈਸਭਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੀਆਂ।
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮੁਖੀਮ੍ਰਿਗਸੇਦ੍ਰਿਗਨੀਲਖੀਯੈਤਿਨਭਾਨਅਨੰਤਅਪਾਰਨਿ॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਮੁਖ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ, ਹਿਰਨ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਦੇ ਮੁਖ) ਦੀ ਅਨੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਾਰ ਚਮਕ ਸੂਰਜਾਂ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੈ,
All the gopis, who were moon-faced and doe-eyed, began to talk amongst themselves:
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੇਸਾਥਕਰੀਚਰਚਾਮਿਲਿਕੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੀਸਭਸੁੰਦਰਬਾਰਨਿ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਛੋਰਿਦਈਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੀਸਭਲਾਜਜੁਹੋਇਮਹਾਰਸਕੀਚਸਕਾਰਨਿ॥੫੦੬॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਲਾਜ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾ ਰਸ ਦੇ ਚਸਕੇ ਲੈਣ ਲਗ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੫੦੬॥
The wanton damsels of Braja held discussion with Krishna about love and absorbed in this great relish, they abandoned all their shyness.506.
ਕੈਰਸਕੇਹਰਿਕਾਰਨੁਕੈਕਰਿਕਸਟਬਡੋਕੋਊਮੰਤਰਸਾਧੋ॥
ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਰਸ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖ ਝਾਗ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਧਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਕੈਕੋਊਜੰਤ੍ਰਬਡੋਈਸਧਿਯੋਇਨਕੋਅਪਨੇਮਨਭੀਤਰਬਾਧੋ॥
ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ (ਟੂਣਾ) ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
The mind of the gopis feels greatly agitated on account of the absorption in love or for Krishna or because of a mantra or a powerful Yantra,
ਕੈਕੇਹੂੰਤੰਤ੍ਰਕੇਸਾਥਕਿਧੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਅਤਿਹੀਕਰਿਧਾਧੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਧੰਧਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Or it is blazing in extreme dread on account of a Tantra
ਚੋਰਿਲਯੋਮਨੁਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਕੋਛਿਨਭੀਤਰਦੀਨਦਯਾਨਿਧਿਮਾਧੋ॥੫੦੭॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਦੀਨ ਦਿਆਲ ਮਾਧੋ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਨੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੫੦੭॥
Krishna, who is merciful to the lowly has stolen the mind of the gopis in an instant.507.

ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਕਿਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲ ਗਏ ਸੀ।
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਬਢਾਇਮਹਾਹਮਸੋਜਮੁਨਾਤਟਿਪੈਰਸਕੇਲਕਏਥੇ॥
ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖੇਡੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
Gopis said to Krishna, “Where had you gone after leaving us? You had loved us and were absorbed in amorous play with us on the bank of Yamuna
ਯੌਤਜਿਗੇਜਿਮਰਾਹਿਮੁਸਾਫਿਰਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹਿਯੋਤੁਮਨਾਹਿਨਏਥੇ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਫਿਰ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਵੇਂ (ਕੋਈ) ਮੁਸਾਫਰ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ (ਹੀ ਛਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤੁਸੀਂ (ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ) ਕੋਈ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
“You were not unacquainted with us, but you left us like traveler abandoning his companion
ਫੂਲਖਿਰੇਮੁਖਆਏਕਹਾਅਪਨੀਬਿਰੀਆਕਹੂੰਭਉਰਭਏਥੇ॥੫੦੮॥
(ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ) ਖਿੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਰਸ ਚੂਸਣ ਲਈ) ਕਿਥੋਂ ਆ ਗਏ ਹੋ। (ਪਰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਵਾਰ ਤਾਂ ਭੌਰੇ ਬਣ ਕੇ (ਕਿਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਸੀ) ॥੫੦੮॥
Our faces had bloomed here like flowers, but you had gone away elsewhere like a black bee.”508.
ਅਥਚਤੁਰਪੁਰਖਭੇਦਕਥਨੰ॥
ਹੁਣ ਚਾਲਾਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਦਾ ਕਥਨ
Now begins the description of the differentiation of Four Types of Purushas

ਨਰਏਕਅਕੀਨਹੀਪ੍ਰੀਤਕਰੈਇਕਕੀਨਕਰੈਇਕਕੀਨਜੁਜਾਨੈ॥
ਇਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ (ਉਹ ਹੈ) ਜੋ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਕ (ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ (ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ) ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ (ਪ੍ਰੀਤੀ ਨੂੰ) ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ)।
There are some persons, who love without being loved
ਏਕਨਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਕੇਭੇਦਜਨੈਜੋਊਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਕਰੈਅਰਿਕੈਤਿਹਮਾਨੈ॥
ਇਕ (ਉਹ ਹੈ) ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ (ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਰੀ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ।
There are others, who love only when loved and consider such love as beneficence, there are such others, who know differentiations in love and accept love in their mind
ਸੋਨਰਮੂੜਬਿਖੈਕਹੀਯੈਜਗਿਜੋਨਰਰੰਚਨਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਪਛਾਨੈ॥
ਉਸ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮੂਰਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਰਤਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ।
The fourth type of persons are such in the world who can be called fools because they do not comprehend love even a little
ਸੋਚਰਚਾਰਸਕੀਇਹਭਾਤਿਸੁਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨੀਆਸੰਗਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਖਾਨੈ॥੫੦੯॥
ਉਹ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੫੦੯॥
The gopis and Krishna are absorbed in such-like discussion.509.

ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਨੇਹੁੰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਧੋਖਾ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇ,
ਦੋਜਨਛਾਡਿਪਰੋਹਰਿਗਯੋਜਨਜੋਛਲਸੋਤਿਹਕੋਹਰਿਲੈਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਦੋ ਜਣੇ (ਇਕੱਠੇ ਰਾਹੀ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਇਕ) ਛਡ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ (ਦੇ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ) ਲੁਟ ਲਵੇ।
The gopis are saying, “Let us see, who deceives after ending the love? Krishna is such that he is always ready for the welfare of someone even leaving the enemy standing in front of him and is deceived himself on being defrauded
ਜੋਬਟਹਾਜਨਘਾਵਤਹੈਕੋਊਜਾਤਚਲਿਯੋਪਿਖਕੈਮਧਿਮੈਹੈ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ (ਮੁਸਾਫਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਰਾਹ ਜਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਪਰੋਕਤ ਠਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ) ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੈਖਿਝਕੈਅਤਿਹੀਗੁਪੀਆਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਤਿਨਕੀਸਮਏਹੈ॥੫੧੦॥
ਫਿਰ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਿਝ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ (ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੧੦॥
“He is such a one who accompanies someone in rainy season and assuning the form of a dacoit in ambush and kills his companion in the way,” the gopis said angrily that Krishna is such a person.510.
ਜਬਹੀਇਹਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਬਾਤਕਹੀਤਬਹੀਤਿਨਕੇਸੰਗਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਹਸੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ, ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਸਣ ਲਗੇ।
When gopis said this, Krishna laughed with them
ਜਿਹਨਾਮਕੇਲੇਤਜਰਾਮੁਖਤੇਤਜਕੈਗਨਕਾਸਭਪਾਪਨਸੇ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਮੁਖ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲ, ਗਨਿਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਨਸ ਗਏ।
He, on uttering whose name, the sins of a sinner like Ganika were destroyed
ਨਜਪਿਯੋਜਿਹਜਾਪਸੋਊਉਜਰੇਜਿਹਜਾਪਜਪਿਯੋਸੋਊਧਾਮਬਸੇ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ) ਜਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਪਿਆ, ਉਹ ਉਜੜ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਪ ਜਪਿਆ, ਉਹ ਘਰ ਵਸਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
Wherever his name was not remembered, that place became deserted
ਤਿਨਗੋਪਿਨਸੋਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਹਮਹੂੰਅਤਿਹੀਰਸਬੀਚਫਸੇ॥੫੧੧॥
ਉਸ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਨੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ (ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ ॥੫੧੧॥
He, who remembered his name, his home prospered that Krishna said this to gopis, “I have been entrapped dreadfully in your amorous enjoyment.”511.
ਕਹਿਕੈਇਹਬਾਤਹਸੇਹਰਿਜੂਉਠਕੈਜਮੁਨਾਜਲਬੀਚਤਰੇ॥
ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਹਸ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਤਰਨ ਲਗੇ।
Uttering these words, Krishna got up smilingly and jumped into Yamuna
ਛਿਨਏਕਲਗਿਯੋਨਤਬੈਤਿਹਕੋਲਖਿਕੈਜਮੁਨਾਕਹਪਾਰਪਰੇ॥
ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਛਿਣ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਲਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਮਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਨੂੰ (ਤਰ ਕੇ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ।
He crossed Yamuna in an instant
ਲਖਿਕੈਜਲਕੋਸੰਗਗੋਪਿਨਕੇਭਗਵਾਨਮਹਾਉਪਹਾਸਕਰੇ॥
ਜਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਠੱਠਾ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
On seeing the gopis and the water (of Yamuna), Krishna laughed heartily
ਬਹੁਹੋਰਨਿਤੈਅਰੁਬ੍ਰਯਾਹਨਿਤੈਕੁਰਮਾਤਨਤੈਅਤਿਸੋਊਖਰੇ॥੫੧੨॥
(ਉਹ ਹਾਸਾ-ਮਖ਼ੌਲ) ਹੋਲੀਆਂ, ਵਿਆਹ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੜਮਾਚਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਹਾਸੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁਖਾਵਾਂ ਸੀ ॥੫੧੨॥
Though gopis are greatly restrained and are reminded of the family practice, they are enamoured of Krishna.512.

(ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਰਾਤ ਪੈ ਗਈ, ਤਦ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਹਸ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਰਾਸ (ਦੀ ਖੇਡ) ਕਰੀਏ।
ਸਸਿਰਾਜਤਹੈਸਿਤਗੋਪਿਨਕੇਮੁਖਸੁੰਦਰਸੇਤਹੀਹਾਰਡਰੈ॥
ਸਫ਼ੈਦ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਸੋਭਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਵੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਫ਼ੈਦ ਹਨ, (ਫਿਰ) ਸਫ਼ੈਦ (ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦੇ) ਹਾਰ ਵੀ ਪਾ ਲਈਏ।
When the night fell, Lord Krishna said smilingly, “come, let us absorb ourselves in amorous play,” there is moonlike brightness on the faces of the gopis and they have worn garlands of which flowers around their necks
