ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਪ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਫੜਦਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਕੇ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਓਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਛ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੋੜਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਝਾਸਾ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਲਾ ਕੇ ਓਸ ਨੂੰ ਟਾਲ ਛਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੈਦ ਰੋਗੀ ਤਾਈਂ ਓਸ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ, ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ = ਪੀੜਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਸ੍ਯਾ ਕਰਦਾ, ਕਿੰਤੂ ਸੰਜਮ ਪੂਰਬਕ ਅਨੂਪਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੱਥ ਕਰੌਂਦਿਆਂ ਦਵਾਈ ਖੁਵਾ ਕੇ ਰੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as a physician does not disclose the details of ailment to the patient but serves him medicine within strict preventions and makes him well.
ਜੈਸੇਭੂਲਿਚੂਕਿਚਟੀਆਕੀਨਬੀਚਾਰੈਪਾਧਾਕਹਿਕਹਿਸੀਖਿਆਮੂਰਖਤਮਤਿਖੰਡਹੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਂਧਾ ਚਾਟੜੇ ਸ਼ਗਿਰਦ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਚੁੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਰ੍ਯਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸਿਖ੍ਯਾ ਪਾਠ = ਸਬਕ ਹੀ ਕਹਿ ਕਹਿ = ਪੜ੍ਹਾ ਪੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਓਸ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਖਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਤਿ ਬੇ ਸਮਝੀ ਗੁਵਾ ਸਿੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as the teacher does not take the mistake of his student to heart, and instead he removes his ignorance by imparting him with necessary lesson.

ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਭੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਅਉਗਨ ਅਪ੍ਰਾਧ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਕ ਕੇ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖ੍ਯਾ ਕਰਦੇ, ਸਗਮਾਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਮਝੌਤੀ ਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਸਮਝੌਂਦੇ ਸਮਝੌਂਦੇ ਹੀ, ਪ੍ਰੰਚਡ = ਪਰ+ਚੰਡ = ਭਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਓਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਡ ਘੱਘਦੇ ਹਨ ਭਾਵ, ਸ੍ਯਾਣਾ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਮਤਿ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਲੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਗੇ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੀ ਅਪ੍ਰਾਧ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਹੀ ਨਾ ਰਹੇ ॥੩੫੬॥
Similarly, the True Guru says nothing to a vice-infested disciple. Instead, he is blessed with complete knowledge. He makes him understand and changes him into a sharp-minded wise person. (356)
