ਫੂਲਚੰਬੇਲੀਕੇਫੂਲਿਰਹੇਜਹਿਨੀਰਘਟਿਯੋਜਮਨਾਜੀਅਆਈ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਚੰਬੇਲੀ ਦੇ ਫੁਲ ਖਿੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਘਾਟ ਨਾਲ ਵਗਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਤਉਨਸਮੈਸੁਖਦਾਇਕਥੀਰਿਤੁਅਉਸਰਯਾਹਿਭਈਦੁਖਦਾਈ॥੮੭੬॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ (ਇਹ) ਰੁਤ ਸੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੮੭੬॥
The flowers of jasmine are not blooming and in sorrow, the water of Yamuna has also decreased, O friend! the season alongwith Krishna was very joy-giving and this season is very troublesome.876.
ਬੀਚਸਰਦਰਿਤੁਕੇਸਜਨੀਹਮਖੇਲਤਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੋਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਲਗਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਸਜਨੀ! ਸਰਦ ਰੁਤ ਵਿਚ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਪੋਹ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿਚ) ਅਸੀਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਖੇਡਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਂ।
ਆਨੰਦਕੈਅਤਿਹੀਮਨਮੈਤਜਕੈਸਭਹੀਜੀਯਕੀਦੁਚਿਤਾਈ॥
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਿਤ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਂ।
In winter season, we all had been happy in the company of Krishna and removing all our doubts we were absorbed in the amorous play
ਨਾਰਿਸਭੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੀਨਬਿਖੈਮਨਕੀਤਜਿਕੈਸਭਸੰਕਕਨ੍ਰਹਾਈ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਗ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਛਡ ਕੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ) ਮਗਨ ਸਨ।
Krishna also unhesitatingly considered all the gopis of Braja as his wives
ਤਾਸੰਗਸੋਸੁਖਦਾਇਕਥੀਰਿਤੁਸ੍ਯਾਮਬਿਨਾਅਬਭੀਦੁਖਦਾਈ॥੮੭੭॥
ਉਸ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਇਹ) ਰੁਤ ਸੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਸੀ, (ਪਰ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਦੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੮੭੭॥
In his company that season was pleasure-giving and now the same season has become troublesome.877.
ਮਾਘਬਿਖੈਮਿਲਕੈਹਰਿਸੋਹਮਸੋਰਸਰਾਸਕੀਖੇਲਮਚਾਈ॥
ਮਾਘ (ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ) ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਨਾਲ (ਭਰ ਕੇ) ਰਾਸ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਮਚਾਈ ਸੀ।
In the month of Magh, we had made the amorous play very famous in the company of Krishna
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਜਾਵਤਥੋਮੁਰਲੀਤਿਹਅਉਸਰਕੋਬਰਨਿਯੋਨਹਿਜਾਈ॥
ਕਾਨ੍ਹ (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਮੁਰਲੀ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਅਵਸਰ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
At that time, Krishna played on his flute, that occasion cannot be described
ਫੂਲਿਰਹੇਤਹਿਫੂਲਭਲੇਪਿਖਿਯੋਜਿਹਰੀਝਿਰਹੈਸੁਰਰਾਈ॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਚੰਗੇ ਫੁਲ ਖਿੜਦੇ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
The flowers were blossoming and Indra, the king of gods, was getting pleased on seeing that spectacle
ਤਉਨਸਮੈਸੁਖਦਾਇਕਥੀਰਿਤੁਸ੍ਯਾਮਬਿਨਾਅਬਭੀਦੁਖਦਾਈ॥੮੭੮॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ (ਇਹ) ਰੁਤ ਸੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਸੀ, (ਪਰ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਹੁਣ) ਦੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੮੭੮॥
O friend! that season was comfort-giving and now the same season has become distressing.878.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਚਿਤਾਰਿਸਭੈਤਹਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਜੁਹੁਤੀਬਡਭਾਗੀ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਉਥੇ ਵਡਭਾਗਣਾਂ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ) ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
The poet Shyam says, “Those very fortunate gopis are remembering Krishna
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਦਈਸੁਧਿਅਉਰਸਭੈਹਰਿਬਾਤਨਕੇਰਸਭੀਤਰਪਾਗੀ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੁਧ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਭਿਜ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
Losing their consciousness, they are absorbed in the passionate love of Krihsna
ਏਕਗਿਰੀਧਰਿਹ੍ਵੈਬਿਸੁਧੀਇਕਪੈਕਰੁਨਾਹੀਬਿਖੈਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ॥
ਇਕ (ਗੋਪੀ) ਬੇਸੁਧ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਹੈ।
Someone has fallen down, someone has become unconscious and someone has been fully engrossed in his love
ਕੈਸੁਧਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੇਖੇਲਨਕੀਮਿਲਕੈਸਭਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਰੋਵਨਲਾਗੀ॥੮੭੯॥
ਜਾਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਡਣ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਰੋਣ ਲਗ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੮੭੯॥
All the gopis have begun weeping after remembering their amorous play with Krishna.879.
ਇਤਿਗੋਪੀਅਨਕੋਬ੍ਰਿਲਾਪਪੂਰਨੰ॥
ਇਥੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਸਮਾਪਤ।
Here ends the lamentation of the gopis.
ਅਥਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਜੂਮੰਤ੍ਰਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀਸੀਖਨਸਮੈ॥
ਹੁਣ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀ ਮੰਤਰ ਸਿਖਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਕਥਨ
Now begins the description of learning Gayatri Mantra by Krishna

ਉਤਤੇਇਹਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਕੀਭੀਦਸਾਇਤਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕਥਾਭਈਤਾਹਿਸੁਨਾਊ॥
ਉਧਰ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਹਾਲਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਧਰ (ਜੋ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਹੋਈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
This was the condition of gopis on that side, on this side now I relate the condition of Krishna
ਲੀਪਕੈਭੂਮਹਿਗੋਬਰਸੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਸਭਪੁਰੋਹਿਤਗਾਊ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਸਾਰੀ) ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਹੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਿੰਬ ਕੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪਰੋਹਿਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
All the priests were called in after plastering the earth with cow-dung.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬੈਠਾਇਕੈਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਕਬਿਪੈਗਰਗੈਸੁਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਹਿਠਾਊ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗਰਗ ਮੁਨੀ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿਤਰ ਥਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਬਿਠਾ ਲਿਆ।
The sage Garg was seated on the sacred spot
ਮੰਤ੍ਰਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀਕੋਤਾਹਿਦਯੋਜੋਊਹੈਭੁਗੀਆਧਰਨੀਧਰਨਾਊ॥੮੮੦॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀ ਮੰਤਰ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੮੮੦॥
That sage gave him (Krishna) the Gayatri mantra, which is the enjoyer of the whole earth.880.
ਡਾਰਿਜਨੇਊਸੁਸ੍ਯਾਮਿਗਰੈਫਿਰਕੈਤਿਹਮੰਤ੍ਰਸੁਸ੍ਰਉਨਮੈਦੀਨੋ॥
ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਦੇ ਗਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਜਨੇਊ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੰਤਰ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ)।
Krishna was made to wear the sacred thread and the mantra was given to him in his ear
ਸੋਸੁਨਿਕੈਹਰਿਪਾਇਪਰਿਯੋਗਰਗੈਬਹੁਭਾਤਨਕੋਧਨਦੀਨੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਗਰਗ ਮੁਨੀ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
After listening to the mantra, Krishna bowed at the feet of Garg and gave him enormous wealth etc.
ਅਸਬਡੈਗਜਰਾਜਔਉਸਟਦਏਪਟਸੁੰਦਰਸਾਜਨਵੀਨੋ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਹਾਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਊਠ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜੋ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਾਜ ਸਜਾਵਟ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
ਲਾਲਪਨੇਅਰੁਸਬਜਮਨੀਤਿਹਪਾਇਪੁਰੋਹਿਤਆਨੰਦਕੀਨੋ॥੮੮੧॥
ਲਾਲ, ਪੰਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ੇ (ਆਦਿਕ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਮੁਨੀ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਏ ॥੮੮੧॥
He was given horses, big elephants, camels and beautiful garments. On touching the feet of Garg, he was, with great delight, given rubies, emeralds and jewels, in charity.881.
ਮੰਤ੍ਰਪੁਰੋਹਿਤਦੈਹਰਿਕੋਧਨੁਲੈਬਹੁਤਮਨਮੈਸੁਖੁਪਾਯੋ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਪਰੋਹਿਤ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ) ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
The priest was pleased on giving mantra to Krishna and receiving the wealth
ਤਿਆਗਿਸਬੈਦੁਖਕੋਤਬਹੀਅਤਿਹੀਮਨਆਨੰਦਬੀਚਬਢਾਯੋ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਧਾ ਲਿਆ।
All his sufferings ended and he attained supreme bliss.
ਸੋਧਨਪਾਇਤਹਾਤੇਚਲਿਯੋਚਲਿਕੈਅਪੁਨੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਭੀਤਰਆਯੋ॥
ਉਹ ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਥੋਂ ਚਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
After receiving the wealth, he came to his house
ਸੋਸੁਨਿਮਿਤ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿਭਏਗ੍ਰਿਹਤੇਸਭਦਾਰਿਦਦੂਰਪਰਾਯੋ॥੮੮੨॥
ਇਸ (ਦਾਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਨਿਰਧਨਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੮੮੨॥
Knowing all this, his friends were entremely pleased and all types of poverty of the sage were destroyed.882.
ਇਤਿਸ੍ਰੀਦਸਮਸਿਕੰਧਪੁਰਾਣੇਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਨਾਟਕਗ੍ਰੰਥੇਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇਸ੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਿਜੂਕੋਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀਮੰਤ੍ਰਸਿਖਾਇਜਗ੍ਰਯੋਪਵੀਤਗਰੇਡਾਰਾਧਿਆਇਸਮਾਪਤਮਸਤੁਸੁਭਮਸਤੁ॥
ਇਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਸਕੰਧ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾਵਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀ ਮੰਤਰ ਸਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਜਨੇਊ ਗਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤ। ਸਭ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੈ।

(ਗਰਗ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਤਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀ (ਕੰਸ) ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਾਇਆ।
Taking the mantra from the priest, then Krishna set his father free from imprisonment
ਛੂਟਤਸੋਹਰਿਰੂਪੁਨਿਹਾਰਕੈਆਇਕੈਪਾਇਨਸੀਸਝੁਕਾਯੋ॥
ਮੁਕਤ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਝੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
After attaining freedom, seeing the divine form of Krishna, he bowed before him
ਰਾਜੁਕਹਿਯੋਹਰਿਕੋਤੁਮਲੇਹੁਜੂਸੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੈਜਦੁਰਾਇਬੈਠਾਯੋ॥
(ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਨ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰਾਜ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ, (ਪਰ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ (ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਉਤੇ) ਬਿਠਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਆਨੰਦਭਯੋਜਗਮੈਜਸੁਭਯੋਹਰਿਸੰਤਨਕੋਦੁਖੁਦੂਰਿਪਰਾਯੋ॥੮੮੩॥
(ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ) ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਪਸਰ ਗਈ, ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਯਸ਼ ਪਸਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੮੮੩॥
Krishna said, “Now you rule over the kingdom” and then seated the king Uggarsain on the throne, there were rejoicings all over the world and the sufferings of the saints were removed.883.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਜਬੈਰਿਪੁਕੋਬਧਕੈਰਿਪੁਤਾਤਕੋਰਾਜੁਕਿਧੋਫਿਰਿਦੀਨੋ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਜਦ ਵੈਰੀ (ਕੰਸ) ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ (ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਨ) ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਰਾਜ ਮੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
When Krishna killed the enemy Kansa, he gave the kingdom to the father of Kansa
ਦੇਤਉਦਾਰਸੁਜਿਉਦਮਰੀਤਿਹਕੋਇਮਕੈਫੁਨਿਰੰਚਨਲੀਨੋ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਉਦਾਰ (ਪੁਰਸ਼) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਮੜੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਅਤੇ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਲਜਿਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਲਿਆ।
The kingdom was given like giving the smallest of the coins, he himself did not accept anything, having not even the slight greed
ਮਾਰਕੈਸਤ੍ਰਅਭੇਖਕਰੇਸੁਦੀਯੋਸਭਸੰਤਨਕੇਸੁਖਜੀਨੋ॥
ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਆਇਸਪਾਇਪਿਤਾਤੇਦੋਊਧਨੁਸੀਖਨਕੀਬਿਧਿਕਾਜਚਲੇ॥
ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ (ਭਰਾ) ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਣ ਲਈ ਚਲ ਪਏ।
After getting the permission of their father regarding the learning of archery, both the brothers (Krishna and Balram) started (for their destination)
ਜਿਨਕੇਮੁਖਿਕੀਸਮਚੰਦ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਭਾਜੋਊਬੀਰਨਤੇਬਰਬੀਰਭਲੇ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਯੋਧੇ ਹਨ।
Their faces are beautiful like moon and both are great heroes
ਗੁਰਪਾਸਿਸੰਦੀਪਨਕੇਤਬਹੀਦਿਨਥੋਰਨਿਮੈਭਏਜਾਇਖਲੇ॥
ਤਦ ਥੋੜੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਦੀਪਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸ ਜਾ ਖਲੋਤੇ।
After a few days, they reached the place of the sage Sandipan
ਜਿਨਹੂੰਕੁਪਿਕੈਮੁਰਨਾਮਮਰਯੋਜਿਨਹੂੰਛਲਸੋਬਲਿਰਾਜਛਲੇ॥੮੮੫॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ 'ਮੁਰ' ਨਾਂ ਦੇ (ਰਾਖਸ਼ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਛਲ ਨਾਲ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਛਲਿਆ ਸੀ (ਉਹ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਸਿਖਣ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ) ॥੮੮੫॥

ਚਉਸਠਦਿਵਸਮੈਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਸਭਹੀਤਿਹਤੇਬਿਧਿਸੀਖਸੁਲੀਨੀ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਚੌਂਹਠ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਸਿਖ ਲਈ।
