ਜੈਸੇਚੀਟੀਕ੍ਰਮਕ੍ਰਮਕੈਬਿਰਖਚੜੈਪੰਛੀਉਡਿਜਾਇਬੈਸੇਨਿਕਟਿਹੀਫਲਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਸਹਜ ਸਹਜ ਨਾਲ ਹੌਲੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਬਿਰਛ ਉਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਫਲ ਨੂੰਪੁਗ੍ਯਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ; ਪਰ ਪੰਛੀ ਉਡ ਉਡਾਰੀ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਫਲ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as an ant crawls up the tree very slowly to reach the fruit, whereas a bird flies and reaches it instantly.
ਜੈਸੇਗਾਡੀਚਲੀਜਾਤਿਲੀਕਨਮਹਿਧੀਰਜਸੈਘੋਰੋਦਉਰਿਜਾਇਬਾਏਦਾਹਨੇਸਬਲਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਡੀ ਲੀਕਾਂ ਲੀਹਾ; ਅੰਦਰ ਚਲੀ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਾਲ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਪੁਗ੍ਯਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਘੋੜਾ ਸੱਜੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਸਬਲ ਕੈ ਜਾਇ ਜੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਗ ਨਾਲ ਛੇਤੀ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਯਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as a bullock cart moving in the ruts of the path reaches its destination slowly but a horse moving on either side of the path moves fast and reaches the destination quickly.
ਜੈਸੇਕੋਸਭਰਿਚਲਿਸਕੀਐਨਪਾਇਨਕੈਆਤਮਾਚਤੁਰਕੁੰਟਧਾਇਆਵੈਪਲਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਹ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਰ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਪਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਮਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਲਕ ਅੱਖ ਦੀ ਫੋਰ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਵਿਚ ਚਹੁੰ ਚੱਕੀ ਫਿਰ ਆਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as one does not cover even a mile in a few seconds but the mind reaches and wanders around in four directions in a split second.

ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਲੌਕਿਕ ਬੇਦਿਕ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਦਾ ਭੇਦ ਮਰਮ = ਨਿਰਣਾ ਉਨਮਾਨ ਪੱਖ ਦਲੀਲ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਹੈ; ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧੁਰ ਮੰਜਲ ਤੇ ਪੁਚੌਨੋਂ ਇਹ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ ਅਸਥਲ ਮੰਜਿਲ ਮਕਸੂਦ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਪਦ = ਧੁਰ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਤਾਂਈ ਗੰਮਤਾ ਪੁਚਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪੦੪॥
Similarly, the knowledge of Vedas and worldly affairs is based on arguments and exchange of views. This method is like the movement of an ant. But by taking the refuge of the True Guru, one reaches the infallible and stable places of the Lord in no time.
