ਜੈਸੇਗੁਆਰਗਾਇਨਚਰਾਵਤਜਤਨਬਨਖੇਤਨਪਰਤਸਬੈਚਰਤਅਘਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਆਲਾ ਗਾਈਆਂ ਵੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਚਰੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਤੇ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਾ ਪੈਣ ਸੋ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਰੱਜ ਕੇ ਚਰ ਲੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Just as cowherd grazer grazes his cows very attentively in the jungle and does not let them wander into some fields, and they graze to their satisfaction.
ਜੈਸੇਰਾਜਾਧਰਮਸਰੂਪਰਾਜਨੀਤਬਿਖੈਤਾਕੇਦੇਸਪਰਜਾਬਸਤਸੁਖਪਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਧਰਮ ਸਰੂਪੀ ਨਿਆਂਈ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਓਸ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਜਾ ਸੁਖ ਪੂਰਬਕ ਵਸਿਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Just as a king who is righteous and just, his subjects live in peace and prosperity.
ਜੈਸੇਹੋਤਖੇਵਟਚੇਤੰਨਿਸਾਵਧਾਨਜਾਮੈਲਾਗੈਨਿਰਬਿਘਨਬੋਹਥਪਾਰਿਜਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਮੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੋਹਿਥ, ਜਹਾਜ = ਬੇੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਖੇਵਟ ਮਲਾਹ ਸ੍ਯਾਣਾ ਤੇ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਹੀ ਪਾਰ ਜਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as a sailor is very alert and conscious of his duties, that ship touches the yonder shore without any adverse happenings.
ਤੈਸੇਗੁਰਉਨਮਨਮਗਨਬ੍ਰਹਮਜੋਤਜੀਵਨਮੁਕਤਿਕਰੈਸਿਖਸਮਝਾਇਕੈ।੪੧੮।
ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ ਸਮਝਾ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਹ ਮਜੋਤੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਧਰਾ ਧਰਾ ਉਨਮਨੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਗਨ ਕਰੌਂਦੇ ਕਰੌਂਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪੧੮॥
Similarly, the True Guru who has merged with the Light divine of the Lord, like warp and weft of a cloth, alone can make a disciple living emancipated with His teachings. (418)
