ਜੈਸੇਘਾਉਘਾਇਲਕੋਜਤਨਕੈਨੀਕੋਹੋਤਪੀਰਮਿਟਿਜਾਇਲੀਕਮਿਟਤਨਪੇਖੀਐ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਾਇਲ ਫੱਟੜ ਦਾ ਘਾਉ ਜ਼ਖਮ ਦਵਾਈ ਦਰਮਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਤਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਨਰੋਆ ਤਾਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪੀੜ ਭੀ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਲੀਕ ਜੋ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਦਾਗ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਿਟਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖੀਦਾ।
Just as the wound gets cured with medicine and the pain also vanishes, but the scar of the wound is never seen to vanish.
ਜੈਸੇਫਾਟੇਅੰਬਰੋਸੀਆਇਪੁਨਿਓਢੀਅਤਨਾਗੋਤਉਨਹੋਇਤਊਥੇਗਰੀਪਰੇਖੀਐ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਟਾ ਹੋਯਾ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਵਾਲਨ ਟਾਕੀ ਲਾ ਲੁਵਾਨ ਉਪੰਤ੍ਰ ਪਹਿਣ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ; ਤੇ ਨੰਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈਦਾ; ਪਰ ਟਾਕੀ ਪਰਖਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Just as a torn cloth stitched and worn does not bare the body but the seam of the stitch is visible and conspicuous.
ਜੈਸੇਟੂਟੈਬਾਸਨੁਸਵਾਰਦੇਤਹੈਠਠੇਰੋਗਿਰਤਨਪਾਨੀਪੈਗਠੀਲੋਭੇਖਭੇਖੀਐ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਠਠਿਆਰ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਰਤਨ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਵਾਰ; ਗੰਢ ਤਾਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੋਇਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਭੇਖ ਸੂਰਤ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਓਸ ਦੀ ਗੰਢੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੀ ਭੇਖੀਐ; ਢਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸਾਫ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੋਯਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Just as a broken utensil is repaired by coppersmith and even the water does not leak from it, but it is repaired form stays.

ਤਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਚਰਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਬੇਮੁਖਤਾਈ ਦੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੁੜ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਣ ਫੜ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸੁੱਧ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਤਾਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਕਲੰਕ ਦਾ ਦਾਗ, ਧੱਬਾ ਸੁਝਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਕਿ ਇਹ ਅਮੁਕੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬੇਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੪੧੯॥
Similarly, a disciple who has turned away from the holy feet of the True Guru comes back to the Guru's refuge when he feels the pain of his actions. Although he is freed of his sins and becomes pious, yet the .blemish of his apostasy remains. (419)
