ਅਉਰਨਮਾਗਤਹਉਤੁਮਤੇਕਛੁਚਾਹਤਹਉਚਿਤਮੈਸੋਈਕੀਜੈ॥
ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹੀ (ਪੂਰੀ) ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।
Whatever I wish in my mind, by that with Thy Grace
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਨਸੋਅਤਿਹੀਰਨਭੀਤਰਜੂਝਿਮਰੋਕਹਿਸਾਚਪਤੀਜੈ॥
'ਬਹੁਤ ਵਡੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਸਹਿਤ ਲੜ ਮਰਾਂ', ਸਚ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਨਿਸਚਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ।
If I fall a martyr while fighting with my enemies then I shall think that I have realised Truth
ਸੰਤਸਹਾਇਸਦਾਜਗਮਾਇਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕਰਸ੍ਯਾਮਇਹੈਵਰੁਦੀਜੈ॥੧੯੦੦॥
ਹੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਜਗਤ ਮਾਤਾ! ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਹੋ ਵਰ ਦਿਓ ॥੧੯੦੦॥
O Sustainer of the Universe! I may always help the saints in this world and destroy the tyrants, bestow this boon on me.1900.
ਜਉਕਿਛੁਇਛਕਰੋਧਨਕੀਤਉਚਲਿਯੋਧਨੁਦੇਸਨਦੇਸਤੇਆਵੈ॥
ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਧਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਰਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਧਨ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚਲਿਆ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
When I wish for the wealth, it comes to me from my country and from abroad
ਅਉਸਬਰਿਧਨਸਿਧਨਪੈਹਮਰੋਨਹੀਨੈਕੁਹੀਯੋਲਲਚਾਵੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਰਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਸਿਧੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਲਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
I have no temptation for any miraculous powers
ਅਉਰਸੁਨੋਕਛੁਜੋਗਬਿਖੈਕਹਿਕਉਨਇਤੋਤਪੁਕੈਤਨੁਤਾਵੈ॥
ਹੋਰ ਸੁਣੋ, ਜੇ ਯੋਗ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕੌਣ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਤਨਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਦੇਵੇ। (ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ)
The science of Yoga is of no use to me
ਜੂਝਿਮਰੋਰਨਮੈਤਜਿਭੈਤੁਮਤੇਪ੍ਰਭਸ੍ਯਾਮਇਹੈਵਰੁਪਾਵੈ॥੧੯੦੧॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਇਹੀ ਵਰ ਮੰਗਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭੈ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਲੜ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਵਾਂ ॥੧੯੦੧॥
Because spending time on that, there is no useful realisation from the physical austerities, O Lord! I beg for this boon from Thee that I may fearlessly fall a martyr in the battlefield.1901.
ਪੂਰਿਰਹਿਯੋਸਿਗਰੇਜਗਮੈਅਬਲਉਹਰਿਕੋਜਸੁਲੋਕਸੁਗਾਵੈ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਯਸ਼ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਲੋਕ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਿਧਮੁਨੀਸ੍ਵਰਈਸ੍ਵਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਅਜੌਬਲਿਕੋਗੁਨਬ੍ਯਾਸਸੁਨਾਵੈ॥
ਸਿੱਧ, ਮੁਨੀਸ਼ਵਰ, ਸ਼ਿਵ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਬਲਿ (ਰਾਜਾ) ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਸ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਸੁਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
The praise of the Lord pervades the whole universe and this eulogy is being sung by Siddhas (adepts), the highest of sages, Shiva, Brahma, Vyas etc.
ਅਤ੍ਰਿਪਰਾਸੁਰਨਾਰਦਸਾਰਦਸ੍ਰੀਸੁਕਸੇਸਨਅੰਤਹਿਪਾਵੈ॥
ਅਤ੍ਰੀ, ਪਰਾਸ਼ਰ, ਨਾਰਦ, ਸ਼ਾਰਦਾ, ਲੱਛਮੀ, ਸੁਕਦੇਵ, ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ (ਆਦਿਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ ਹਨ।
His mystery has not been comprehended even by the sage Atri, Parashar, Narada, Sharda, Sheshnaga etc.
ਤਾਕੋਕਬਿਤਨਮੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹਿਯੋਕਹਿਕੈਕਬਿਕਉਨਰਿਝਾਵੈ॥੧੯੦੨॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਯਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ। (ਅਜਿਹਾ) ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਕਵੀ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਰਿਝਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੯੦੨॥
The poet Shyam has described it in poetic stanzas, O Lord! how can I then please Thee by describing THY glory?1902.

ਭੂਪਸੁਦੁਖਿਤਹੋਇਅਤਿਹੀਅਪਨੇਲਿਖਿਮਿਤ੍ਰਕਉਪਾਤਪਠਾਈ॥
ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੇ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿਤਰ (ਕਾਲ ਜਮਨ) ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਸੈਨਹਨਿਯੋਹਮਰੋਜਦੁਨੰਦਨਛੋਰਦਯੋਮੁਹਿਕੈਕਰੁਨਾਈ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
The king in great affliction wrote a letter to his friend that Krishna had destroyed his army and had released him after arresting him
ਬਾਚਤਪਾਤੀਚੜੋਤੁਮਹੂੰਇਤਆਵਤਹਉਸਬਸੈਨਬੁਲਾਈ॥
(ਇਸ) ਚਿੱਠੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਇਧਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਓ।
ਐਸੀਦਸਾਸੁਨਿਮਿਤ੍ਰਹਿਕੀਤਬਕੀਨੀਹੈਕਾਲਜਮਨਚੜਾਈ॥੧੯੦੩॥
ਮਿਤਰ ਦੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਾਲ ਜਮਨ ਨੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੧੯੦੩॥
He asked him to attack from that side and from his side, he would gather his army, after hearing about the plight of his friend, Kalyavana started the war on Krihsna.1903.
ਸੈਨਕੀਓਇਕਠੋਅਪਨੇਜਿਹਸੈਨਹਿਕੋਕਛੁਪਾਰਨਪਈਯੈ॥
(ਕਾਲ ਜਮਨ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ (ਇਤਨੀ) ਸੈਨਾ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
He collected so much army, that it was impossible to enumerate it
ਬੋਲਉਠੈਕਈਕੋਟਿਬਲੀਜਬਏਕਕੋਲੈਕਰਿਨਾਮੁਬੁਲਈਯੈ॥
ਜਦੋਂ (ਕਿਸੇ) ਇਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬੁਲਾਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਕਈ ਕਰੋੜ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਬੋਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
When the name of one person was announced, then millions of them responded to the call
ਦੁੰਦਭਿਕੋਟਿਬਜੈਤਿਨਕੀਧੁਨਿਸੋਤਿਨਕੀਧੁਨਿਨਸੁਨਿਪਈਯੈ॥
ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਵਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਯੋਧਿਆਂ) ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ।
The drums of the warriors resounded and in that din, no one’s voice was hear
ਐਸੇਕਹਾਸਭਹ੍ਯਾਂਨਟਿਕੋਪਲਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਹੀਸੋਚਲਿਜੁਧੁਮਚਈਯੈ॥੧੯੦੪॥
(ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਜਮਨ ਨੇ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ (ਹੁਣ) ਇਥੇ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਟਿਕੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰੀਏ ॥੧੯੦੪॥
Now all were saying that none should stay being and all should move forward for war with Krishna.1904.
