ਕਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਗੁਫਾ ਵਿਚ ਵੜ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ॥੨੦੫੪॥
He ran towards Balram to consult him, but he also told the same thing that Krishna went into the cave, bud did not turn back.2054.

ਕੈਲਰਿਕੈਅਰਿਕਾਹੂਕੇਸੰਗਿਤਨਆਪਨਕੋਜਮਲੋਕਿਪਠਾਯੋ॥
ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ ਕੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਯਮਲੋਕ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਖੋਜਤਕੈਮਨਿਯਾਜੜਕੀਬਲਿਲੋਕਿਗਯੋਕੋਊਮਾਰਗਪਾਯੋ॥
ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਮੂਰਖ ਦੀ ਮਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਜਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ (ਰਾਜਾ) ਬਲਿ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਰਗ ਲਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
“Either Krishna has been killed at the hands of the enemy or has gone to the nether-world in search of the jewel of this foolish Satrajit,
ਕੈਮਨਿਲੈਇਹਭ੍ਰਾਤਕੇਪ੍ਰਾਨਗਯੋਜਮਲੈਤਿਨਲੈਨਕਉਧਾਯੋ॥
ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਮ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ (ਉਥੇ) ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਕੈਇਹਮੂਰਖਕੋਸੁਕੁਬੋਲਲਗਿਯੋਹੁਇਲਜਾਤੁਰਧਾਮਿਨਆਯੋ॥੨੦੫੫॥
ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਮੂਰਖ ਦੇ ਕੁਬੋਲ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਲਗ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਜਾ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੦੫੫॥
“Or he has gone to bring back the life-force (soul) of his brother from Yama or he has not returned after feeling shy of the words of this foolish man.”2055.
ਰੋਇਜਬੈਸੰਗਭੂਪਤਿਕੋਮੁਖਤੇਮੁਸਲੀਇਹਭਾਤਿਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਜਾ (ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਨ) ਪਾਸ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਰੋਂਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਤਉਸਤ੍ਰਾਜਿਤਕਉਮਿਲਿਕੈਸਭਜਾਦਵਲਾਤਨਮੂਕਨਮਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਾਦਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸਤ੍ਰਾਜਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਲਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਟਿਆ।
When Balram said all this to the king while weeping, then all the Yadavas together beat Satrajit with legs and fists
ਪਾਗਉਤਾਰਦਈਮੁਸਕੈਗਹਿਗੋਡਨਤੇਮਧਿਕੂਪਕੇਡਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਪਗ ਉਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਾਂ (ਬੰਨ੍ਹ) ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਡਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
His turban was removed and tying his hands and feet, he was thrown in a well
ਛੋਡਬੋਤਾਕੇਕਹਿਯੋਨਕਿਹੂਸਭਹੂਤਿਹਕੋਬਧਬੋਚਿਤਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ॥੨੦੫੬॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਣ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਕਿਹਾ, (ਸਗੋਂ) ਸਭ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟਣ (ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ) ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੨੦੫੬॥
No one advised for his release and contemplated to kill him.2056.
ਕਾਨਰਕੀਜਬਏਬਤੀਯਾਪ੍ਰਭਕੀਸਭਨਾਰਿਨਜਉਸੁਨਿਪਾਈ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣ ਲਈਆਂ,
ਰੋਵਤਭੀਕੋਊਭੂਮਿਪਰੀਗਿਰਪੀਟਤਭੀਕਰਿਕੈਦੁਚਿਤਾਈ॥
ਤਾਂ ਕਈ ਰੋਂਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਭੂਮੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਦੁਚਿੱਤੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਿਟਣ ਲਗ ਗਈਆਂ।
When the women heard these things regarding Krihsna, they fell down weeping on the earth and some of them lamented
ਏਕਕਹੈਪਤਿਪ੍ਰਾਨਤਜੇਅਬਹੁਇਹੈਕਹਾਹਮਰੀਗਤਿਮਾਈ॥
ਕਈ ਇਕ ਕਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ, ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ! ਹੁਣ ਸਾਡਾ ਕੀ ਹਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਅਉਰਰੁਕਮਨਿਦੇਤਦਿਜੋਤਮਦਾਨਸਤੀਫੁਨਿਹੋਬੇਕਉਆਈ॥੨੦੫੭॥
(ਅਤੇ) ਰੁਕਮਨੀ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ (ਆਪ) ਸਤੀ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੨੦੫੭॥
Someone said that her husband had breathed his last, what would be her condition then, Rukmani gave gifts to the Brahmins and thought of becoming a Sati (dying on the funeral pyre of the husband).2057.

ਬਸੁਦੇਵਅਰੁਦੇਵਕੀਦੁਬਿਧਾਚਿਤਹਿਬਢਾਇ॥
ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਦੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਵਧ ਗਈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭਗਤਿਦ੍ਵੈਬਿਧਿਹੇਰਿਕੈਬਰਜਿਓਰੁਕਮਨਿਆਇ॥੨੦੫੮॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਦੋ ਪਾਸੀ (ਲੌਕਿਕ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੌਕਿਕ) ਗਤਿ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰੁਕਮਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ (ਸਤੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ) ਵਰਜਿਆ ॥੨੦੫੮॥
Vasudev and Devaki, becoming extremely anxious, and thinking about the unapproachable will of the Lord, restrained Rukmani from becoming a Sati.2058.

ਪੁਤ੍ਰਬਧੂਹੂਕੋਦੇਵਕੀਆਇਸੁਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਬਿਧਿਯਾਸਮਝਾਯੋ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦੇਵਕੀ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਬਰਧੂ (ਨੂੰਹ) ਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ,
Devaki instructed her daughter-in-law in this way
ਜੋਹਰਿਜੂਝਮਰੇਰਨਮੋਜਰਿਬੋਤੁਹਿਕੋਨਿਸਚੈਬਨਿਆਯੋ॥
ਜੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਜੂਝ ਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੜ ਮਰਨਾ (ਸਤੀ ਹੋਣਾ) ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
That if Krishna had died in a war, then it was appropriate for her to become a Sati, but if he had gone far beyond in search of the jewel (of Satrajit), then it is not right to become a Sati
ਜਉਮਨਿਢੂੰਢਤਯਾਜੜਕੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਘਨੇਪੁਨਿਕੋਸਸਿਧਾਯੋ॥
ਜੇ ਕਰ ਇਸ ਮੂਰਖ ਦੀ ਮਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਭਣ ਲਈ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
Therefore the search for him might still be continued
ਤਾਤੇਰਹੋਚੁਪਿਕੈਸੁਧਿਲੈਅਰੁਯੌਕਹਿਪਾਇਨਸੀਸਝੁਕਾਯੋ॥੨੦੫੯॥
ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਚੁਪ ਕਰ ਰਹਿ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸਾਰ ਲੈ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ (ਨੂੰਹ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਝੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੨੦੫੯॥
” Saying this, they bowed their heads on the feet of Rukmani and with their modesty got her assent.2059.
ਐਸੋਸਮੋਧਕੈਪੁਤ੍ਰਬਧੂਕੋਭਵਾਨੀਕੋਪੈਤਿਨਜਾਇਮਨਾਯੋ॥
ਨੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝਾ ਬੁਝਾ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਸ (ਦੇਵਕੀ) ਨੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਭਵਾਨੀ (ਦੁਰਗਾ) ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਆਰੰਭ ਕੀਤੀ।
