ਆਪਦਾਅਧੀਨਜੈਸੇਦੁਖਤਦੁਹਾਗਨਕਉਸਹਜਿਸੁਹਾਗਨਸੁਹਾਗਨਕੋਭਾਵਈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਪਦਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਈ ਬਿਭਚਾਰਣੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਹਾਗਨੀ ਪਤਿਵੰਤੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦਾ, ਭਾਵ ਓਸ ਦੇ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਿਭ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਦੇਖ ਉਹ ਖਿਝਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Just as a distressed, divorced woman cannot bear to see or tolerate the loving and happy union of another woman with her husband,
ਬਿਰਹਨੀਬਿਰਹਬਿਓਗਮੈਸੰਜੋਗਨਿਕੋਸੁੰਦਰਸਿੰਗਾਰਿਅਧਿਕਾਰੁਨਸੁਹਾਵਈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਿਰਹੋਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਜੋਗਨ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਤੀ ਪਾਸ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੰਜੋਗਨ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਅਧੀਕਾਰ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਪਹਿਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਖੌਂਦਾ।
Just as a woman separated from her husband and bearing the pangs of separation cannot tolerate the embellishments of another woman who is united with her husband,
ਜੈਸੇਤਨਮਾਂਝਿਬਾਂਝਿਰੋਗਸੋਗਸੰਸੋਸ੍ਰਮਸਉਤਕੇਸੁਤਹਿਪੇਖਿਮਹਾਂਦੁਖਪਾਵਈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਬਾਂਝ ਰੋਗ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਸਮਰੱਥਤਾ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਹੀ ਸੋਗ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਅਰੁ ਸੰਸੇ ਫਿਕਰ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰਮ ਹੁੱਟੀ ਹੋਈ, ਉਹ ਸੌਂਕਣ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Just as a distressed and fatigued woman suffering from her inability to bear a child feels much distressed on seeing the son of her co-wife,
ਤੈਸੇਪਰਤਨਧਨਦੂਖਨਤ੍ਰਿਦੋਖਮਮਸਾਧਨਕੋਸੁਕ੍ਰਤਨਹਿਰਦੈਹਿਤਾਵਈ।੫੧੩।
ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਪਰਾਏ ਧਨ ਪਰਾਏ ਤਨ, ਤਥਾ ਪਰਾਏ ਦੂਖਣ ਐਬ ਤੱਕਨ ਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਦੋਖ ਤਾਪ ਰੂਪ ਸੰਨਤਾਪ ਰੋਗ ਦਿੱਕ ਤਪ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਪ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਭਲਿਆਂ ਗੁਰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਭਲੇ ਕੰਮ ਸੁਕਰਣੀ ਪੁੰਨ ਰੂਪ ਕਰਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦੇ ॥੫੧੩॥
Similarly I am infested with three chronic ailments-namely other's women, other's wealth and slander. And that is why praise of the devoted and loving Sikhs of the True Guru does not please me. (513)
