ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਥੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਥੇ ਬਹਿ ਕੇ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਿਆਸ ਲਗੀ ਵਿਚ ਜਲਨ ਕਿਥੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਿਆਸ ਬੁਝਾਣ ਲਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਠੰਢ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Where does a man reach while asleep? How does he eat when hungry? When thirst flares up, how does it satisfy it ? And where does the water consumed creates calmness?
ਹਸਨਰੋਵਨਕਹਾਕਹਾਪੁਨਚਿੰਤਾਚਾਉਕਹਾਂਭਯਭਾਉਭੀਰਕਹਾਧਉਭਯਾਨਹੈ।
ਹੱਸਦਾ; ਰੋਂਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਹਨ, ਫੇਰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕੀਹ ਹੈ, ਚਉ ਕੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਡਰ, ਪਿਆਰ, ਕਾਇਰਤਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕਤਾ ਕਿਥੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ?
How does it cry or laugh? Then what is worry and glee or elation? What is fear and what is love? What is cowardice and to what extent is dreadfulness?
ਹਿਚਕੀਡਕਾਰਔਖੰਘਾਰਜੰਮਹਾਈਛੀਕਅਪਸਰਗਾਤਖੁਜਲਾਤਕਹਾਆਨਹੈ।
ਹਿਡਕੀ, ਡਕਾਰ, ਖੰਘ, ਉਬਾਸੀ, ਨਿੱਛ, ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਗੰਦੀ ਹਵਾ ਦਾ ਸਰਨਾ, ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਰਕਣਾ ਆਦਿ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀ ਹਨ?
Where and how does hiccups, belching, phlegm, yawn, sneeze, passing of wind, scratching of body and many other such-like things happen?
ਕਾਮਕ੍ਰੋਧਲੋਭਮੋਹਅਹੰਮੇਵਟੇਵਕਹਾਂਸਤਔਸੰਤੋਖਦਯਾਧਰਮਨਜਾਨਹੈ।੬੨੩।
ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਲੋਭ, ਮੋਹ, ਹੰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਕੀਹ ਹਨ, ਸਤ ਤੇ ਸੰਤੋਖ, ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਕੀ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ॥੬੨੩॥
What is the nature of lust, anger, greed, attachment and pride? Similarly reality of truth, contentment, kindness and righteousness cannot be known. (623)
