ਮਾਰੇਦੇਵੀਘੋਟਿਸੁਭਟਕਟਕਕੇਬਿਕਟਅਤਿ॥੧੧੭॥
ਕਿ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ (ਸਾਡੇ) ਬਲਵਾਨ ਯੋਧੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੧੭॥
That the goddess hath killed very great heroes, difficult to kill.117.,

DOHRA,
ਰਾਜਗਾਤਕੇਬਾਤਿਇਹਕਹੀਜੁਤਾਹੀਠਉਰ॥
ਦੈਂਤ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ('ਗਾਤ') ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ ਕਿ (ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰਾਂਗਾ,
The king said at the same place these words:,
ਮਰਿਹੋਜੀਅਤਿਨਛਾਡਿਹੋਕਹਿਓਸਤਿਨਹਿਅਉਰ॥੧੧੮॥
ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਛਡਾਂਗਾ। ਸਚ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਝੂਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ) ॥੧੧੮॥
“I am saying nothing else except the truth that I shall not let her live.”118.,
ਤੁੰਡਸੁੰਭਕੇਚੰਡਿਕਾਚਢਿਬੋਲੀਇਹਭਾਇ॥
ਇਸ ਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਡੀ ਸੁੰਭ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬੋਲੀ,
These words were uttered by Chandika herself, seated on the tongue of Sumbh.,
ਮਾਨੋਆਪਨੀਮ੍ਰਿਤਕੋਲੀਨੋਅਸੁਰਬੁਲਾਇ॥੧੧੯॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ (ਖ਼ੁਦ) ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੧੯॥
It seemed that demon had invited himself his own death.119.,
ਸੁੰਭਨਿਸੁੰਭਸੁਦੁਹੂੰਮਿਲਬੈਠਿਮੰਤ੍ਰਤਬਕੀਨ॥
ਤਦ ਸੁੰਭ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਸਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ
Both Sumbh and Nisumbh sat together and decided,
ਸੈਨਾਸਕਲਬੁਲਾਇਕੈਸੁਭਟਬੀਰਚੁਨਲੀਨ॥੧੨੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਯੋਧੇ ਚੁਣ ਲਏ ॥੧੨੦॥
That the whole army be called and a Superb hero be selected for war with Chandi.120.,
ਰਕਤਬੀਜਕੋਭੇਜੀਏਮੰਤ੍ਰਨਕਹੀਬਿਚਾਰ॥
ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਪੂਰਵਕ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ (ਇਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ) ਰਕਤਬੀਜ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾਏ
The ministers advised that Raktavija be sent (for the purpose),
ਪਾਥਰਜਿਉਗਿਰਿਡਾਰਕੇਚੰਡਹਿਹਨੈਹਕਾਰਿ॥੧੨੧॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ) ਚੰਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸੁਟ ਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ॥੧੨੧॥
He will kill Chandi by throwing her from the mountain like a stone after challenging her.121.,
ਸੋਰਠਾ॥
ਸੋਰਠਾ:
SORATHA,
ਭੇਜੋਕੋਊਦੂਤਗ੍ਰਹਤੇਲਿਆਵੈਤਾਹਿਕੋ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ) ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਤ (ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਾਹਕ) ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੋ (ਜੋ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੋਂ (ਸਦ) ਲਿਆਵੇ,
Some messenger may be sent to call him from his home.,
ਜੀਤਿਓਜਿਨਿਪੁਰਹੂਤਭੁਜਬਲਿਜਾਕੇਅਮਿਤਹੈ॥੧੨੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇੰਦਰ ('ਪੁਰਹੂਤ') ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੨੨॥
He had conquered Indra with his unlimited strength of arms. 122.,

ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤਬਿੰਦਪੈਦੈਤਇਕੁਗਇਓਕਰੀਅਰਦਾਸਿ॥
ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ
A demon went to the house of Raktavija and requested,
ਰਾਜਬੁਲਾਵਤਸਭਾਮੈਬੇਗਚਲੋਤਿਹਪਾਸਿ॥੧੨੩॥
ਰਾਜਾ (ਸੁੰਭ) ਸਭਾ ਵਿਚ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਚਲੋ ॥੧੨੩॥
“Thou hast been summoned in the royal court, appear before it very quickly.”123.,
ਰਕਤਬੀਜਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੁੰਭਕੋਕੀਨੋਆਨਿਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ॥
ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ।
Raktavija came and bowed in obeisance before the king.,
ਅਸੁਰਸਭਾਮਧਿਭਾਉਕਰਿਕਹਿਓਕਰਹੁਮਮਕਾਮ॥੧੨੪॥
ਦੈਂਤਾ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿਚ (ਸੱਜੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਕ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੨੪॥
With due veneration, he said in the court, “Tell me, what can I do?”124.,
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ॥

ਸ੍ਰਉਣਤਬਿੰਦਕੋਸੁੰਭਨਿਸੁੰਭਬੁਲਾਇਬੈਠਾਇਕੈਆਦਰੁਕੀਨੋ॥
ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਸੁੰਭ-ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਆਦਰ ਸਹਿਤ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ
Sumbh and Nisumbh called Raktavija in their presence and offered him a seat with respect.,
ਦੈਸਿਰਤਾਜਬਡੇਗਜਰਾਜਸੁਬਾਜਦਏਰਿਝਵਾਇਕੈਲੀਨੋ॥
ਅਤੇ (ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਮੁਕਟ, ਵਡੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੇ) ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
He was the crown for his head and presented with elephants and horses, which he accepted with pleasure.,
ਪਾਨਲੈਦੈਤਕਹੀਇਹਚੰਡਕੋਰੁੰਡਕਰੋਅਬਮੁੰਡਬਿਹੀਨੋ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ) ਪਾਨ (ਦਾ ਬੀੜਾ) ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤ (ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ) ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਧੜ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਹੁਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਵਖਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
After taking the betel leaf, Raktavija said, “I shall immediately separate the head of Chandika from her trunk.”,
ਐਸੇਕਹਿਓਤਿਨਮਧਿਸਭਾਨ੍ਰਿਪਰੀਝਕੈਮੇਘਅਡੰਬਰਦੀਨੋ॥੧੨੫॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਾ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹਾ (ਤਾਂ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਛਤਰੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਅੰਬਾਰੀ ('ਮੇਘ-ਅਡੰਬਰ') ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੧੨੫॥
When he said these words before the assembly, the king was pleased to award him a dreadful thundering trumpet and a canopy.125.,
ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤਬਿੰਦਕੋਸੁੰਭਨਿਸੁੰਭਕਹਿਓਤੁਮਜਾਹੁਮਹਾਦਲੁਲੈਕੈ॥
ਸੁੰਭ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਰਕਤ-ਬੀਜ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਉ
Sumbh and Nisumbh said, “Now go and take with you a huge army,
