ਜਬਗਯੋਗੁਪਾਲ॥
ਜਦ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਚੰਦ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ,
जब गयो गुपाल ॥
ਕੁਪਿਯੋਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ॥
ਤਦ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ।
When Gopal was gone, Kirpal was filled with anger.

ਹਿੰਮਤਹੁਸੈਨ॥
ਹਿੰਮਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੁਸੈਨੀ (ਵਲੋਂ)

ਬਜੇਨਿਸਾਣ॥
ਨਗਾਰੇ ਵਜਣ ਲਗੇ,
बजे निसाण ॥
ਨਚੇਕਿਕਾਣ॥
ਘੋੜੇ ਨਚਣ ਲਗੇ।
On the other side, the trumpets also resounded and the horses danced in the battlefield.
नचे किकाण ॥
ਬਾਹੈਤੜਾਕ॥
ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਤ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਤੀਰ) ਚਲਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ
बाहै तड़ाक ॥
ਉਠੈਕੜਾਕ॥੧੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਕੜ-ਕੜ (ਦੀ ਧੁਨ) ਉਠਦੀ ॥੧੮॥
The warriors enthusiastically strike their weapons, creating clattering sound.18.

ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਯੋਧੇ ਧੌਂਸੇ) ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ
बजे निसंग ॥
ਗਜੇਨਿਹੰਗ॥
ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਯੋਧੇ (ਨਿਹੰਗ) ਗਜਦੇ ਹਨ।
The fearless warriors blow their horns and shout loudly.
गजे निहंग ॥
ਛੁਟੈਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਾਂ ਚਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ
छुटै क्रिपान ॥
ਲਿਟੈਜੁਆਨ॥੧੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਲੇਟਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੯॥
The swords are struck and the warriors are lying on the ground.19.

ਤੁਪਕਤੜਾਕ॥
ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ ਤੜ ਤੜ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
तुपक तड़ाक ॥
ਕੈਬਰਕੜਾਕ॥
ਤੀਰ ਕੜ ਕੜ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The guns, arrows, lances and axes create noises.
कैबर कड़ाक ॥
ਸੈਹਥੀਸੜਾਕ॥
ਸੈਹੱਥੀਆਂ 'ਸਰਰ' (ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਵਜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ)
सैहथी सड़ाक ॥
ਛੋਹੀਛੜਾਕ॥੨੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਛੱਵੀਆਂ ਛੜ-ਛੜ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੨੦॥

ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਗਜਦੇ ਹਨ।
गजे सुबीर ॥
ਬਜੇਗਹੀਰ॥
ਗੰਭੀਰ (ਗਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਗਾਰੇ) ਵਜਦੇ ਹਨ।
The heroes who stand firmly in the field, thunder.
बजे गहीर ॥
ਬਿਚਰੇਨਿਹੰਗ॥
ਸੂਰਮੇ (ਨਿਹੰਗ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਇੰਜ) ਵਿਚਰਦੇ ਹਨ
बिचरे निहंग ॥
ਜੈਸੇਪਲੰਗ॥੨੧॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ (ਬਨ ਵਿਚ) ਚਿਤਰਾ (ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨੧॥
The fighters move in the field like leopards.21.

ਘੋੜੇ ਹਿਣਕਦੇ ਹਨ,
हुके किकाण ॥
ਧੁਕੇਨਿਸਾਣ॥
ਧੌਂਸੇ ਧੁਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
The horses neigh and the trumpets resound.
धुके निसाण ॥
ਬਾਹੈਤੜਾਕ॥
(ਇਕ ਪਾਸਿਓਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ) ਤੜ ਤੜ (ਕਰਦੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ) ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ
बाहै तड़ाक ॥
ਝਲੈਝੜਾਕ॥੨੨॥
(ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸਿਓਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਲਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੨॥
The warriors strike their weapons enthusiastically and also endure the blows.22.
झलै झड़ाक ॥२२॥
ਜੁਝੇਨਿਹੰਗ॥
(ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ) ਲੜ ਕੇ (ਵੀਰ-ਗਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਚੁਕੇ)
जुझे निहंग ॥
ਲਿਟੈਮਲੰਗ॥
ਮਹਾਨ ਯੋਧੇ ਮਲੰਗਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਲੇਟ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
The warriors falling as martyrs appear like the carefree intoxicated persons lying down of the ground.
लिटै मलंग ॥
ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇਕਿਸਾਰ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਵਾਲ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ
खुल्हे किसार ॥
ਜਨੁਜਟਾਧਾਰ॥੨੩॥
ਮਾਨੋ (ਉਹ) ਜੱਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਸਾਧੂ ਹੋਣ ॥੨੩॥
Their disheveled hair appear like the matted hair (of hermits).23.
जनु जटा धार ॥२३॥
ਸਜੇਰਜਿੰਦ੍ਰ॥
ਮਹਾਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ
सजे रजिंद्र ॥
ਗਜੇਗਜਿੰਦ੍ਰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਵਡੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਗਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
गजे गजिंद्र ॥
ਉੱਤਰੇਖਾਨ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਾਨ
उतरे खान ॥
ਲੈਲੈਕਮਾਨ॥੨੪॥
ਕਮਾਨ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਤਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੪॥
The huge elephants are decorated and the warrior-chiefs descending from them and holding their bows, thunder in the field.24.
