ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਮਨਮੁਖਿਜਾਣੀਅਨਿਸਾਧਅਸਾਧਜਗਤਵਰਤਾਰਾ।
ਜਗਤ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਅਤੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਜਾਣੀਦੇ ਹਨ, ਭਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਦਾ ਵਰਤਾਉ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਤਾਤਪਰਜ-ਪ੍ਰਪੰਚ ਬੇਰੜੇ ਵਾਂਙੂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਵਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ)
From their conduct in the world, the Guru-oriented, gurmukhs and mind oriented manmukhs are known sadhus and wicked ones respectively.
ਦੁਹਵਿਚਿਦੁਖੀਦੁਬਾਜਰੇਖਰਬੜਹੋਏਖੁਦੀਖੁਆਰਾ।
ਦੋ ਤਰਫੀਏ (ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਦੀ ਮਾਯਾ ਵਲ, ਕਦੀ ਰੱਬ ਵਲ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਖੁਦੀ ਦੇ ਖੁਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਕੇ ਖਰਬੜਾਟ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਜਿਹਾ ਕੁ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਆਸਾ ਦੀ ਵਾਰ-'ਸਲਾਮੁ ਜਬਾਬੁ ਦੋਵੈ ਕਰੇ ਮੁੰਢਹੁ ਘੁਥਾ ਜਾਇ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੋਵੈ ਕੂੜੀਆ ਥਾਇ ਨ ਕਾਈ ਪਾਇ')।
Out of these two, the mongrels-apparently sadhus but internally thieves--are always in wavering state and, suffering for their ego, go astray.
ਦੁਹੀਂਸਰਾਈਂਜਰਦਰੂਦਗੇਦੁਰਾਹੇਚੋਰਚੁਗਾਰਾ।
ਇਸੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੁਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ (ਜ਼ਰਦ ਰੂ) ਮੂੰਹ ਪੁਰ (ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾਲ) ਪਿਲੱਤਣ ਫਿਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਦੋ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਚੋਰ ਅਤੇ (ਚੁਗਾਰ) ਠੱਗ ਦਗ਼ੇ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਭਾਵ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਵਿਖ੍ਯਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੁਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਬਾਜੇ ਚੁਗਾਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰੋਟੀ ਵੋਟੀ, ਦਾਲ ਦਪਾਲ ਵਾਂਙੂ ਨਿਰਾਰਥਕ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ)।
Such double-faced thieves, backbiters and cheats remain pale-faced due to their bewilderment in both the worlds.
ਨਾਉਰਵਾਰੁਨਪਾਰੁਹੈਗੋਤੇਖਾਨਿਭਰਮੁਸਿਰਿਭਾਰਾ।
ਨਾਂ ਉਰਾਰ ਨਾ ਪਾਰ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ) ਗ਼ੋਤੇ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ) ਭਰਮ ਦਾ ਭਾਰ ਸਿਰ ਪੁਰ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ (ਛੱਡ ਸਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ)।
They are neither here nor there and, burdened with the load of delusions go on drowing in between and getting suffocated.
ਹਿੰਦੂਮੁਸਲਮਾਨਵਿਚਿਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਮਨਮੁਖਿਵਿਚਗੁਬਾਰਾ।
ਹਿੰਦੂ (ਚਾਹੇ) ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਨਮੁਖ ('ਗੁਬਾਰ') ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ, (ਇਸਦਾ ਫਲ ਹੇਠ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ)।
Whether Muslim or the Hindu, the manmukh among the gurmukhs is the utter darkness.
ਜੰਮਣੁਮਰਣੁਸਦਾਸਿਰਿਭਾਰਾ।੧।
(ਮਨਮੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਪਰ ਮਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
His head is always loaded with the comings and goings through transmigration of his soul.
ਪਉੜੀ੨
ਦੁਹੁਮਿਲਿਜੰਮੇਦੁਇਜਣੇਦੁਹੁਜਣਿਆਂਦੁਇਰਾਹਚਲਾਏ।
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮਾਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਨੇ) ਮਿਲਕੇ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜਣੇ (ਹਿੰਦੂ ਤੇ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ) ਉਤਪੱਤ ਕੀਤੇ, (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਦੋ ਜਣਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਰਸਤੇ (ਅੱਡੋ ਅੱਡ) ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
Consequent to the confluence of male and female both (Hindu and Muslim) were born; but both initiated separate ways (sects).
ਹਿੰਦੂਆਖਨਿਰਾਮਰਾਮੁਮੁਸਲਮਾਣਾਂਨਾਉਖੁਦਾਏ।
ਹਿੰਦੂ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਲੈਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
Hindus remember Ram-Ram and the Muslims named Him Khuda.
ਹਿੰਦੂਪੂਰਬਿਸਉਹਿਆਂਪਛਮਿਮੁਸਲਮਾਣੁਨਿਵਾਏ।
ਹਿੰਦੂ' ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਲ ਖੜੋਕੇ (ਸੰਧ੍ਯਾ ਬੰਦਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਪੱਛਮ ਵਲ (ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਕੇ) ਨਿਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Hindus perform their worship facing East and Muslims bow towards the West.
ਗੰਗਬਨਾਰਸਿਹਿੰਦੂਆਂਮਕਾਮੁਸਲਮਾਣੁਮਨਾਏ।
ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਗੰਗਾ ਤੇ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਣੀ, ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਮੱਕਾ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
Hindus adore Ganges and Banaras, whereas Muslims celebrate Mecca.
ਵੇਦਕਤੇਬਾਂਚਾਰਿਚਾਰਿਚਾਰਵਰਨਚਾਰਿਮਜਹਬਚਲਾਏ।
(ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਚਾਰੇ ਵਰਣ ਚਾਰ ਮਜ਼ਹਬ ਚਾਰ ਵੇਦ, ਚਾਰ ਕਤੇਬਾਂ ਮੰਨਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
They have four scriptures each--four Vedas and four Katebas. Hindus created four varnas (castes) and Muslims the four sects (Hanifis, Safis, Malikis, and Hambalis).
ਪੰਜਤਤਦੋਵੈਜਣੇਪਉਣੁਪਾਣੀਬੈਸੰਤਰੁਛਾਏ।
(ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸੱਚ ਪੁਛੋ) ਦੋਹਾਂ ਜਣਿਆਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਤਤ-ਅਪ, ਤੇਜ, ਵਾਯੂ, ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਹੀ ਛਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
But in fact, the same air, water and fire exist in them all.
ਇਕਥਾਉਂਦੁਇਨਾਉਂਧਰਾਏ।੨।
ਇਕੋ ਥਾਉਂ (ਉਤਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਥਾਉਂ ਇਕੋ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਹੈ) ਨਾਉਂ ਦੋ ਧਰ ਲੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
The ultimate shelter for both is the same one; only they have given different names to it.
ਪਉੜੀ੩
ਦੇਖਿਦੁਭਿਤੀਆਰਸੀਮਜਲਸਹਥੋਹਥੀਨਚੈ।
(ਦੁਭਿੱਤੀ) ਦੋ ਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਰਸੀ ਮਜਲਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੱਥੋ ਹੱਥੀ 'ਨੱਚਦੀ' ਹੈ।
Double-faced i.e. uneven minor moves hand to hand in the assembly (because nobody likes it).
ਦੁਖੋਦੁਖੁਦੁਬਾਜਰੀਘਰਿਘਰਿਫਿਰੈਪਰਾਈਖਚੈ।
ਦੋ ਮੂੰਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖ ਅਰ ਦੁਖ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ) ਘਰ ਘਰ ਪਰਾਈ ਹੋਕੇ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋਈ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Similarly a double-talker like a prostitute engrossed in other's homes moves from door to door.
ਅਗੋਹੋਇਸੁਹਾਵਣੀਮੁਹਿਡਿਠੈਮਾਣਸਚਹਮਚੈ।
ਅੱਗੋਂ (ਵੱਡੀ) ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁਖ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ('ਚਹਮਚੈ') ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
At first she looks pretty and men are pleased to see her face
ਪਿਛਹੁਦੇਖਿਡਰਾਵਣੀਇਕੋਮੁਹੁਦੁਹੁਜਿਨਸਿਵਿਰਚੈ।
ਪਿਛੋਂ ਦੇਖੋ ਤਾਂ ਡਰਾਉਣੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮੂੰਹ ਇਕ ਹੈ ਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦੋ ਧਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਅੱਗਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੈ)।
But later she is found to be dreadful because her single face possesses two images.
ਖੇਹਿਪਾਇਮੁਹੁਮਾਂਜੀਐਫਿਰਿਫਿਰਿਮੈਲੁਭਰੈਰੰਗਿਕਚੈ।
ਸੁਆਹ ਪਾਕੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਮਾਂਜੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫੇਰ ਮੈਲ ਭਰੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਰੰਗ ਕੱਚਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਅਗਲੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਤੁਕਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਫਲ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ)।
Even cleaned with ashes, such double-faced mirror becomes filthy again.
ਧਰਮਰਾਇਜਮੁਇਕੁਹੈਧਰਮੁਅਧਰਮੁਨਭਰਮੁਪਰਚੈ।
ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਜਮ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਧਰਮ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਭਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਚਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ (ਫਲ ਵਿਚਾਰਕੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ)।
Yama, the Lord of dharma is one; he accepts dharma but does not get pleased by the delusions of wickedness.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿਜਾਇਮਿਲੈਸਚੁਸਚੈ।੩।
(ਇਸੇ ਲਈ) ਗੁਰਮੁਖ (ਜੋ ਇਕ ਰੰਗ) ਸੱਚ (ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਸੱਚ ਵਿਖੇ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ (ਅਰ ਆਰਸੀ ਵਾਂਙੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਜਰੇ 'ਘਰ ਘਰ' ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ੱਕਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ)।
Truthful gurmukhs ultimately attain the truth.
ਪਉੜੀ੪
ਵੁਣੈਜੁਲਾਹਾਤੰਦੁਗੰਢਿਇਕੁਸੂਤੁਕਰਿਤਾਣਾਵਾਣਾ।
(ਤਾਣੀਂ) ਉਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਜੁਲਾਹਾ ਤੰਦ ਤੰਦ ਗੰਢਕੇ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸੂਤ੍ਰ ਦਾ ਤਾਣਾ ਪੇਟਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤਾਣੀ ਉਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
By tying the threads, weaver weaves huge warp and weft with a single yarn.
ਦਰਜੀਪਾੜਿਵਿਗਾੜਦਾਪਾਟਾਮੁਲਨਲਹੈਵਿਕਾਣਾ।
ਦਰਜੀ ਪਾੜਕੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਾਕੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ (ਟਾਕੀਆਂ) ਵੇਚੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ (ਕੱਪੜਾ ਵਿਕਣ ਵਿਚ) ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ (ਭਾਵ ਕੋਈ ਕਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ)।
Tailor tears and spoils cloth and torn cloth cannot be sold.
ਕਤਰਣਿਕਤਰੈਕਤਰਣੀਹੋਇਦੁਮੂਹੀਚੜ੍ਹਦੀਸਾਣਾ।
ਕੈਂਚੀ ਕਾਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਦੁਮੂੰਹੀ ਹੋਕੇ ਸਾਣ ਪੁਰ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਹੈ।
His double-blade honed scissors cuts the cloth.
ਸੂਈਸੀਵੈਜੋੜਿਕੈਵਿਛੁੜਿਆਂਕਰਿਮੇਲਿਮਿਲਾਣਾ।
ਸੂਈ ਜੋੜਕੇ ਸੀਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੇਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
On the other hand, his needle stiches and the separated pieces are thus reunited.
ਸਾਹਿਬੁਇਕੋਰਾਹਿਦੁਇਜਗਵਿਚਿਹਿੰਦੂਮੁਸਲਮਾਣਾ।
ਸਾਹਿਬ (ਏਕ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ) ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਕੋ ਹੈ (ਅਰ) ਰਾਹ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਦੋ ਚਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, (ਭਾਵ ਇਕੋ ਸੂਤ ਦੀ ਤਾਣੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਭੇਦ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ)।
That Lord is one but different ways have been created by Hindus and Muslims.
ਗੁਰਸਿਖੀਪਰਧਾਨੁਹੈਪੀਰਮੁਰੀਦੀਹੈਪਰਵਾਣਾ।
ਗੁਰ ਸਿੱਖੀ (ਸੂਈ ਵਾਂਙੂ) ਸ਼ਿਰੋਮਣੀ ਹੇ (ਗੁਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੀ ਹੈ?) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖੀ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਪੁਰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਰੱਖਣੀ) ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ ਵਿਛੜਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਬ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ)।
The path of Sikhism is superior to both because it accepts an intimate relation between the Guru and the Sikh.
ਦੁਖੀਦੁਬਾਜਰਿਆਂਹੈਰਾਣਾ।੪।
ਅਰ ਜੋ 'ਦੁਬਾਜਰੇ' ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੋਭਿੱਤੀਏ ਹਨ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਤੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਨਾਲ ਕਦੇ ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ)।
The double-minded are always perplexed and thus they suffer.

ਜਿਉਚਰਖਾਅਠਖੰਭੀਆਦੁਹਿਲਠੀਦੇਮੰਝਿਮੰਝੇਰੂ।
ਜਿੱਕੁਰ ਅਠਖੰਭੀਏ (ਅੱਠਾ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ) ਚਰਖੇ ਦਾ ਮੰਝੇਰੂ (ਚੱਕ ਜਾਂ ਨਾਭ) ਦੋ ਲੱਠਾਂ (ਵੱਡੇ ਮੁੰਨਿਆਂ) ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The eight board spinningwheel moves between two upright posts.
ਦੁਇਸਿਰਿਧਰਿਦੁਹੁਖੁੰਢਵਿਚਿਸਿਰਗਿਰਦਾਨਫਿਰੈਲਖਫੇਰੂ।
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸਿਰੇ ਲੱਠ ਦੇ ਖੁੰਢਾਂ (ਛੇਕਾਂ) ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਅਰ ਸਿਰ ਪਰਣੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਫੇਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Both ends of its axle are thrust in the holes in the middle of two post and on the force of its neck the wheel is turned innumerable times.
ਬਾਇੜੁਪਾਇਪਲੇਟੀਐਮਾਲ੍ਹਵਟਾਇਪਾਇਆਘਟਘੇਰੂ।
ਬਾਇੜ ਪਾਕੇ ਲਪੇਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਧਾਗੇ ਦੀ ਮਾਹਲ ਵੱਟਕੇ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
The two sides are secured by a fastening cord and a string belt encircles the wheel and the spindle.
ਦੁਹੁਚਰਮਖਵਿਚਿਤ੍ਰਕੁਲਾਕਤਨਿਕੁੜੀਆਂਚਿੜੀਆਂਹੇਰੂ।
ਦੋ ਚਮੜੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਤ੍ਰੱਕਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਚਿੜੀਆਂ ਦਾ ('ਹੇਰੂ') ਚਰਖਾ ਕੱਤਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਾਂ ਹੇਰੂ ਤੱਕਲਾ ਹਿੱਲਦਾ ਚੱਕਰ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।
Two pieces of leather hold the spindle around which the girls spin sitting in groups.
ਤ੍ਰਿੰਞਣਿਬਹਿਉਠਜਾਂਦੀਆਂਜਿਉਬਿਰਖਹੁਉਡਿਜਾਨਿਪੰਖੇਰੂ।
ਤਿੰਣ ਵਿਚ ਬਹਿਕੇ (ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪੂਣੀਆਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਉ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਾਨੋ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚਿੜੀਆਂ ਬ੍ਰਿੱਛਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਛਾਵੇਂ ਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ)
Sometimes they would suddenly stop spinning and leave as birds fly from the tree (the double-minded person is also like these girls or birds and changes his mind abruptly).
ਓੜਿਨਿਬਾਹੂਨਾਥੀਐਕਚਾਰੰਗੁਰੰਗਾਇਆਗੇਰੂ।

ਜਿੱਕੁਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ 'ਥੇਹ' (ਪਿੰਡ) ਪਾਵੇ, ਉਹ ਪਛੋਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਾਰਣ ਹੇਠ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ)।
Inhabiting in other's lands brings repentence and takes away happiness;

ਦੋ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਵੰਦ ਵਾਂਙੂ (ਜਾਂ) ਦੋ ਭਰਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰੀਮਤ ਵਾਂਙੂ ਦੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Husband of two women and the wife of two husbands are bound to perish;
ਹੁਇਉਜਾੜਾਖੇਤੀਐਦੁਹਿਹਾਕਮਦੁਇਹੁਕਮੁਖੁਣਸੈ।

ਦ੍ਵੈਤ ਵਿਖੇ ਦੁਖ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਦੂਜੇ ('ਵੈਰਾਇਣ') ਵੈਰ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ (ਗੁਆਂਢਣਾਂ) ਹਸਦੀਆ ਹਨ (ਕਿ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ)।

ਨਰਕਿਸਵਾਰਿਸੀਗਾਰਿਆਰਾਗਰੰਗਛਲਿਛਲੈਛਲੋਈ।
