ਹਵਾਲਹਨਮੂਦਸ਼ਕਿਓਰਾਨਿਸ਼ਾਦ॥੩੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ (ਅਰਥਾਤ-ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੩੫॥
Invited him besides him and, then, handed him over (to the woman).(35)
ਤੁਆਜ਼ਾਦਗਸ਼ਤੀਅਜ਼ੀਸਹਿਲਚੀਜ਼॥
(ਅਤੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ) ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਕੰਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਲਦੀ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਵੇਹਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ)।
(She said to the Prince), ‘You have easily attained the freedom,
ਬਿਗੀਰਏਬਿਰਾਦਰਤੁਅਜ਼ਜ਼ਾਅਜ਼ੀਜ਼॥੩੬॥
ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲੈ ॥੩੬॥
‘Now you apprehend them (Raja and his Councillors). I love you more than my life’.(36)
ਜ਼ਨੇਪੇਚਦਸਤਾਰਰਾਤਾਬਦਾਦ॥
ਉਸ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਬੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਪਗੜੀ ਦੇ ਪੇਚ ਨੂੰ ਕਸਿਆ
She held the folds of her turban with one hand,
ਦਿਗ਼ਰਦਸਤਬਰਮੁਸ਼ਤਤੇਗਸ਼ਨਿਹਾਦ॥੩੭॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਠ ਉਤੇ ਧਰਿਆ ॥੩੭॥
And put the other hand on the scabbard of her sword,(37)
ਬਿਜ਼ਦਤਾਜ਼ੀਯਾਨਹਬਹਰਚਾਰਚਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਕੈਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਕੋਰੜੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ,
She gave four lashes to each one of them (the grass-cutters),
ਬਗੁਫ਼ਤਾਕਿਏਬੇਖ਼ਬਰਬੇਮੁਹਾਰ॥੩੮॥
ਐ ਬੇਖ਼ਬਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰਿਓ! ॥੩੮॥
And said, ‘You, the ignorant, you don’t know anything.(38)
ਕਿਆਮਦਦਰੀਂਜਾਵਜ਼ਾਕਾਹਨੇਸਤ॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਥੇ ਘਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਆਏ ਸੀ, ਕੀ ਉਥੇ ਘਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
‘You have come here where there is no grass to cut.
ਕਿਏਜ਼ਦਗਵਾਹਅਸਤਯਜ਼ਦਾਯਕੇਸਤ॥੩੯॥
ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੈ ॥੩੯॥
‘The God only is my witness,’(39)
ਦਰੋਗੇਮਰਾਬਰਗ਼ਫ਼ੂਰੇਗੁਆਹਸਤ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਝੂਠ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੈ
‘God is my Protector,
ਬਿਗੋਯਦਕਿਮਾਰਾਪਨਾਹੇਖ਼ੁਦਾਸਤ॥੪੦॥
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਨਾਹ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੦॥
‘He is Forgiver and, I am sure, He will excuse my lie.‘(40)
ਰਿਹਾਈਦਿਹੰਦਹਖ਼ੁਦਾਵੰਦਤਖ਼ਤ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ
After gaining freedom for his sovereign,
ਵਿਦਾਗਸ਼ਤਜ਼ੋਮੰਜ਼ਲੋਜਾਇਸਖ਼ਤ॥੪੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਲੈ ਗਈ ॥੪੧॥
She left that place for her own abode.(41)
ਬਿਦਿਹਸਾਕੀਯਾਸਾਗਰੇਸਬਜ਼ਪਾਨ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਕੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਬਜ਼ ਰੰਗ (ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ) ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਾਂ
(The poet says), ‘Oh! Saki, give me green wine to drink,
ਕਿਸਾਹਿਬਸ਼ਊਰਅਸਤਜ਼ਾਹਰਜਹਾਨ॥੪੨॥
ਕਿ ਅਕਲ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੈ ॥੪੨॥
Because the Master of the Intellect prevails all over.(42)
ਬਿਦਿਹਸਾਕੀਯਾਜਾਮਫ਼ੀਰੋਜ਼ਰੰਗ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਕੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰੇ ਰੰਗ (ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ) ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼
‘Saki! Give me the cup full of greenish (liquid),
ਕਿਦਰਵਕਤਸ਼ਬਚੂੰਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੇਰੋਜ਼ਜੰਗ॥੪੩॥੬॥
ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੪੩॥੬॥
“Which soothes during the wars and the lonely nights.”(42)
ੴਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫ਼ਤਹ॥
The Lord is One and the Victory is of the True Guru.
ਖ਼ੁਦਾਵੰਦਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦਹੇਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ (ਵਸਤੂਆਂ) ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
God is all-benevolent,
ਕਿਜ਼ਾਹਰਜ਼ਹੂਰਅਸਤਸਾਹਿਬਦਿਯਾਰ॥੧॥
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਤਖ ਅਤੇ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
He is luminously manifest and dominates all the domains.(1)
ਤਬੀਅਤਬਹਾਲਸਤਹੁਸਨਲਜਮਾਲ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾ ਖੇੜੇ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
His will prevails, and his blessedness is splendid,
ਚੁਹੁਸਨਲਜਮਾਲੋਫ਼ਜ਼ੀਲਤਕਮਾਲ॥੨॥
ਜਿਤਨਾ ਉਹ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਤਨਾ ਹੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
And the splendid blessedness is epitome of sagacity.(2)
ਕਿਇਸਫ਼ੰਦਯਾਰਅਜ਼ਜਹਾਰਖ਼ਤਬੁਰਦ॥
ਜਦੋਂ 'ਅਸਫ਼ੰਦ ਯਾਰ' (ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ) ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣ ਲਗਿਆ
When Asphand Yaar departed from this world taking all his belongings (deeds) with him,
ਨਸਬਨਾਮਹੇਖ਼ੁਦਬਬਹਿਮਨਸਪੁਰਦ॥੩॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਾਜ-ਗੱਦੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਬਹਿਮਨ ਦੇ ਸਪੁਰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੩॥
He conferred the sovereignty to his son, Bahmin.(3)
ਅਜ਼ਾਦੁਖ਼ਤਰੇਹਮਚੁਪਰਰੇਹੁਮਾਇ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਹੁਮਾ ਪੰਛੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੀ,
That Bahmin had a daughter, who was like the wings of phoenix.
ਚੁਹੁਸਨਲਜਮਾਲਅਸਤਦਉਲਤਫ਼ਿਜ਼ਾਇ॥੪॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੀ ॥੪॥
And she was elegantly graceful and quite affluent (4)
ਚੁਬਹਮਨਸ਼ਹਅਜ਼ਈਂਜਹਾਬੁਰਦਰਖ਼ਤ॥
ਜਦ ਬਹਿਮਨ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਲਣ ਲਗਿਆ
When Bahmin, as well, departed from this world facing his destiny,
ਬਦੁਖ਼ਤਰਸੁਪਰਦੰਦਆਂਤਾਜਤਖ਼ਤ॥੫॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਾਜ-ਤਖ਼ਤ ਲੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਸਪੁਰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੫॥
He bestowed the sovereignty to his daughter.(5)
ਨਿਸ਼ਸਤੰਦਬਰਤਖ਼ਤਰੂਮੀਹੁਮਾਇ॥
ਉਹ (ਲੜਕੀ) ਹੁਮਾ ਪੰਛੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਰੂਮ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠੀ।
She was the one, who was like the phoenix of Rome,
ਕਿਬੁਸਤਾਬਹਾਰਅਸਤੁਸੂਰਤਫ਼ਿਜ਼ਾਇ॥੬॥
ਉਹ ਬਸੰਤ ਰੁਤ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵਾਂਗ ਖਿੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੀ ॥੬॥
Spread over to progress like the spring season.(6)
ਚੁਬੁਗ਼ਜ਼ਸ਼ਤਬਰਵੈਜ਼ਿਦਹਸਾਲਚਾਰ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਲੜਕੀ ਉਪਰੋਂ ੧੪ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਬੀਤ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ)
When fourteen years had gone by and she became teen-ager,
ਕਿਪੈਦਾਸ਼ੁਦਹਸਬਜ਼ਹੇਨੌਬਹਾਰ॥੭॥
ਨਵੀਂ ਰੁਤ ਦੀ ਹਰਿਆਵਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ (ਅਰਥਾਤ-ਉਹ ਜਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ) ॥੭॥
Her charm gained the full swing.(7)
ਬਹਾਰੇਜਵਾਨੀਬਨਉਬਤਰਸੀਦ॥
ਜਦ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਬਹਾਰ ਰੁਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ (ਅਰਥਾਤ-ਭਰ ਜਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ)
She reached the same stage,
ਚੁਬੁਸਤਾਗੁਲੇਸੁਰਖ਼ਬੇਰੂੰਕਸ਼ੀਦ॥੮॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਖੇੜਾ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲਾਲ ਫੁਲ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵਿਚ ਖਿੜਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੮॥
As the rose flower which bloomed in the garden.(8)
ਬਹੁਸਨਅਮਦਸ਼ਤੂਤੀਏਨੌਬਹਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਹੁਸਨ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਹਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਕੋਂਪਲਾ ਫੁਟਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Her beauty enchanted like the blue bird that scintillated in the spring,
ਚੁਮਾਹੇਕਿਬਰਖ਼ੁਦਕੁਨਦਨੌਬਹਾਰ॥੯॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਸੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
And like the moon that adorned itself in joyous weather.(9)
ਮਿਜ਼ਾਜ਼ਸ਼ਜ਼ਿਤਿਫ਼ਲੀਬਰੂੰਦਰਰਸੀਦ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਚਪਨ ਦੀ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ।
The childlike innocence was still depicting,
ਜਵਾਨੀਜ਼ਿਆਗ਼ਾਜ਼ਬਰਵੈਕਸ਼ੀਦ॥੧੦॥
ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਕਸ਼ਾ ਖਿਚਿਆ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੦॥
When the flavour of youth descended on her.(10)
ਵਿਦਾਸ਼ੁਦਅਜ਼ੋਹਾਲਤਿਫ਼ਲੀਮਿਜ਼ਾਜ॥
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬਚਪਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਚੰਚਲ ਸੁਭਾ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
When all her childhood flew away,
ਬਹਾਰੇਜਵਾਨੀਦਰਾਮਦਬੁਬਾਜ਼॥੧੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਰ ਆ ਗਈ ॥੧੧॥
And the spell of adolescence over powered,(11)
ਕਿਬਿਨਸ਼ਸਤਬਰਤਖ਼ਤਸ਼ਾਹਨਸ਼ਹੀ॥
ਜਦ ਉਹ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠੀ,
Then she enthroned herself on the royal seat,
ਬਕਲਮਅੰਦਰਆਵੇਖ਼ਤਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ਮਹੀ॥੧੨॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਟਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ ਉਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਲਿਖਣ ਲਗ ਗਈ ॥੧੨॥
And pondered over the regal papers prevalent there.(12)
ਨਜ਼ਰਕਰਦਬਰਬਚਹਗੌਹਰਨਿਗਾਰ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਜੌਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਉਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਪਈ (ਤਾਂ ਆਸ਼ਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ)।
Once she came across an appraiser of diamonds (jeweller),
ਕਿਬੁਰਦਅੰਦਰੂੰਨਸ਼ਬਵਕਤੇਗ਼ੁਬਾਰ॥੧੩॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੩॥
And, taking the advantage of darkness, she took him inside.(13)
ਬਿਆਵੇਖ਼ਤਬਾਓਦੁਸੇਚਾਰਮਾਹ॥
ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਚਾਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਮਗਨ ਰਹੀ,
She kept him in for two, three, four months,
ਕਿਸ਼ਿਕਮਸ਼ਫ਼ਰੋਮਾਦਅਜ਼ਤੁਖ਼ਮਿਸ਼ਾਹ॥੧੪॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਬੀਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੪॥
And through the semen of that tycoon, she became pregnant.(14)
ਚੁਨਹਮਾਹਗਸ਼ਤਹਬਆਂਬਿਸਤਨੀ॥
ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭ ਠਹਿਰਿਆਂ ਨੌਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਬੀਤ ਗਏ
When nine month have gone by,
ਬਕੋਸ਼ਸ਼ਦਰਾਮਦਰਗੇਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਤਨੀ॥੧੫॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੂਤਾ ਨਾੜੀ ਖਿਚ ਖਾਣ ਲਗੀ ॥੧੫॥
The delightful lady felt movement of child birth.(15)
