ਹਮਾਯੂਦਰਖ਼ਤੇਚੁਸਰਵੇਚਮਨ॥੨੬॥
ਤੂੰ ਸਰੂ ਵਰਗੇ ਪਤਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਭਰੀ ਕੌਣ ਹੈਂ? ॥੨੬॥
‘Slim and tall like a cypress tree, who are you?(26)
ਕਿਹੂਰੋਪਰੀਤੋਚੁਨੂਰੇਜਹਾ॥
ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੂਰ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰੀ ਹੈਂ, ਜਾਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਨੂਰ ਹੈਂ,
‘Are you either a Soul or a Fairy?
ਕਿਮਾਹੇਫ਼ਲਕਆਫ਼ਤਾਬੇਯਮਾ॥੨੭॥
ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਹੈਂ ਜਾਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਹੈਂ ॥੨੭॥
‘Are you either the moon in the sky or sun over the earth?’(27)
ਨਹੂਰੋਪਰੀਅਮਨਨੂਰੇਜਹਾ॥
(ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ) ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਹੂਰ ਹਾਂ, ਨਾ ਪਰੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਨੂਰ ਹਾਂ।
(She replied), ‘Neither I am Fairy, nor an Enlightener of the world.
ਮਨਮਦੁਖ਼ਤਰੇਸ਼ਾਹਿਜਾਬਿਲਸਿਤਾ॥੨੮॥
ਮੈਂ 'ਬਿਲਸਿਤਾਂ' ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਬੇਟੀ ਹਾਂ ॥੨੮॥
‘I am the daughter of the King of Zablistan.’(28)
ਬਪੁਰਸ਼ਸ਼ਦਰਾਮਦਪਰਸਤਸ਼ਨਮੂਦ॥
(ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਛਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ
Then, on learning (that he was god Shiva), she supplicated,
ਬਨਿਜ਼ਦਸ਼ਜ਼ੁਬਾਰਾਬਫ਼ੁਰਸਤਕਸੂਦ॥੨੯॥
ਅਤੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਕੋਲ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ॥੨੯॥
Opened her mouth, and narrated (her story) very gently.(29)
ਬਦੀਦਨਤੁਰਾਮਨਬਸਆਜ਼ੁਰਗਦਹਅਮ॥
ਉਸ (ਵਿਅਕਤੀ) ਨੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਗ਼ਮਗੀਨ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
(Shiva said), ‘I am much afflicted on seeing you.
ਬਿਗੋਈਤੁਹਰਚੀਜ਼ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਦਹਅਮ॥੩੦॥
ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਕਹੇਂ, ਉਹੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ॥੩੦॥
‘Whatever you desire I will grant you.’(30)
ਬਹੰਗਾਮਪੀਰੀਜਵਾਮੇਸ਼ਵਮ॥
(ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਯਾਚਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਬਿਰਧ ਤੋਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂ
(She said), ‘I should get out of the old age and become young again,
ਬਮੁਲਕੇਹੁਮਾਯਾਰਮਨਮੇਰਵਮ॥੩੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਯਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਵਲ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਵਾਂ ॥੩੧॥
‘So that I can go to the country of my lover.‘(31)
ਬਦਾਸ਼ਨਤੁਦਾਨੀਵਗਰਈਂਵਫ਼ਾ॥
(ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ) ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
(Shiva said), ‘If you think this appropriate according to your intelligence (then I will grant you the boon),
ਬਯਾਦਆਮਦਸ਼ਬਦਤਰਈਂਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ॥੩੨॥
ਪਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਝੀ ਹੈ ॥੩੨॥
‘Although it may have come in your mind very menially.’(32)
ਵਜ਼ਾਜਾਬਿਆਮਦਬਗਿਰਦੇਚੁਚਾਹ॥
ਉਥੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਖੂਹ ਉਤੇ ਆਈ
After receiving the boon, she came to the well,
ਕਜ਼ਾਜਾਅਜ਼ੋਬੂਦਨਖ਼ਜ਼ੀਰਗਾਹ॥੩੩॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਯਾਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਖੇਡਣ ਦੀ ਚਾਹ ਸੀ ॥੩੩॥
Where her lover used to come for hunting.(33)
ਬਸੈਰੇਦਿਗ਼ਰਰੋਜ਼ਆਮਦਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ॥
ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਯਾਰ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਖੇਡਣ ਆਇਆ
Next day she came across the hunter,
ਚੁਮਿਨਕਾਲਅਜ਼ਬਾਸ਼ਹੇਨੌਬਹਾਰ॥੩੪॥
ਜੋ ਬਸੰਤ ਰੁਤ ਦੇ ਬਾਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਚੁੰਜ ਵਰਗਾ ਲਾਲ ਸੀ ॥੩੪॥
Who had sharp features like the sparrow-hawk in the spring.(34)
ਕਿਬਰਖ਼ਾਸਤਪੇਸ਼ਸ਼ਗਵਜ਼ਨੇਅਜ਼ੀਮ॥
ਉਸ ਅਗੋਂ ਇਕ ਵਡੇ ਆਕਾਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਰਾਸਿੰਗਾ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ।
On seeing him, she started to run forward like a wild cow.
ਰਵਾਕਰਦਅਸਪਸ਼ਚੁਬਾਦੇਨਸੀਮ॥੩੫॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਵਾ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਘੋੜਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੩੫॥
And he galloped his horse at the speed of an arrow.(35)
ਬਸੇਦੂਰਗਸ਼ਤਸ਼ਨਮਾਦਹਦਿਗਰ॥
ਉਹ ਉਸ ਪਿਛੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
They went quite far,
ਨਆਬੋਨਤੋਸਹਨਅਜ਼ਖ਼ੁਦਖ਼ਬਰ॥੩੬॥
ਉਥੇ ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਸੀ, ਨਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਸੀ ॥੩੬॥
Where there was no water and no food, and they were lost in themselves.(36)
ਵਜ਼ਾਓਸ਼ਵਦਬਾਤਨੇਨੌਜਵਾ॥
ਅਗੇ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਬਾਰਾਸਿੰਗਾ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਵਟ ਗਿਆ।
She proceeded and bodily joined that young-man,
ਨਹੂਰੋਪਰੀਆਫ਼ਤਾਬੇਜਹਾ॥੩੭॥
ਉਸ ਵਰਗੀ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੂਰ ਸੀ, ਨਾ ਪਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੂਰਜ ॥੩੭॥
As there was none other like him, neither soul nor body.(37)
ਬਦੀਦਨਵਜ਼ਾਸ਼ਾਹਿਆਸ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਹਗਸ਼ਤ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
Immediately on her sight, he had fallen in love with her,
ਕਿਅਜ਼ਖ਼ੁਦਖ਼ਬਰਰਫ਼ਤਵਅਜ਼ਹੋਸ਼ਦਸਤ॥੩੮॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਰਤ ਨਾ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੋਸ਼ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੩੮॥
And lost his senses and consciousness (by meeting her).(38)
ਕਿਕਸਮੇਖ਼ੁਦਾਮਨਤੁਰਾਮੇਕੁਨਮ॥
(ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਾ) ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਗੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦੀ ਕਸਮ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ
(He said,) ‘I swear by God that I must do (make love) with you,
ਕਿਅਜ਼ਜਾਨਜਾਨੀਤੁਬਰਤਰਕੁਨਮ॥੩੯॥
ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੩੯॥
‘Because I cherish you more than my own life.’(39)
ਉਜ਼ਰਕਰਦਉਚੂੰਦੁਸੇਚਾਰਬਾਰ॥
ਉਸ (ਸੁੰਦਰੀ) ਨੇ ਦੋ ਚਾਰ ਵਾਰ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ,
The woman, just to show off, refused a few times,
ਹਮਆਖ਼ਰਬਗ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਮਵਜ਼ਾਕਰਦਕਾਰ॥੪੦॥
ਪਰ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੪੦॥
But, at the end she acquiesced.(40)
ਬੁਬੀਂਗਰਦਸ਼ੇਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈਜ਼ਮਾ॥
ਜ਼ਮਾਨੇ ਦੀ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਦਾ ਚੱਕਰ ਵੇਖੋ
(The Poet says,) Look at the infidelity of the world,
ਕਿਖ਼ੂੰਨੇਸਿਤਾਦਸ਼ਨਮਾਦਸ਼ਨਿਸ਼ਾ॥੪੧॥
ਕਿ 'ਸਿਤਾਦਸ਼' ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਤਕ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ ॥੪੧॥
Siavash (sons of the ruler) were annihilated without any vestiges.(41)
ਕੁਜਾਸ਼ਾਹਿਕੈਖ਼ੁਸਰਵੋਜ਼ਾਮਜ਼ਮ॥
ਕਿਥੇ ਹਨ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੇ, ਖੁਸਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਜਮਸ਼ੈਦ?
Where have gone the Kings, Khusro and Jamshed?
ਕੁਜਾਸ਼ਾਹਿਆਦਮਮੁਹੰਮਦਖ਼ਤੰਮ॥੪੨॥
ਕਿਥੇ ਹੈ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਦਮ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ॥੪੨॥
Where are Adam and Muhammad?(42)
ਫ਼ਰੇਦੂੰਕੁਜਾਸ਼ਾਹਨਇਸਫ਼ੰਦਯਾਰ॥
ਫਰੇਦੂੰ, ਇਸਫੰਦਯਾਰ ਕਿਥੇ ਹਨ?
Where have vanished the (legendary) kings, Faraid, Bahmin and Asfand?
ਨਦਾਰਾਬਦਾਰਾਦਰਾਮਦਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ॥੪੩॥
ਨਾ ਦਾਰਾਬ ਨਾ ਦਾਰਾ (ਕਿਥੇ ਹਨ?) ਇਹ (ਹੋ ਚੁਕੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ॥੪੩॥
Neither Darab, nor Dara are esteemed.(43)
ਕੁਜਾਸ਼ਾਹਿਅਸਕੰਦਰੋਸ਼ੇਰਸ਼ਾਹ॥
ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਕਿਥੇ ਹਨ?
What happened to Alexander and Sher Shah?
ਕਿਯਕਹਮਨਮਾਦਅਸਤਜ਼ਿੰਦਹਬਜਾਹ॥੪੪॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਥੇ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੪੪॥
None of them has survived.(44)
ਕੁਜਾਸ਼ਾਹਤੈਮੂਰਬਾਬਰਕੁਜਾਸਤ॥
ਤੈਮੂਰ, ਬਾਬਰ, ਕਿਥੇ ਹਨ?
How Temur Shah and Babar have dissipated?
ਹੁਮਾਯੂੰਕੁਜਾਸ਼ਾਹਿਅਕਬਰਕੁਜਾਸਤ॥੪੫॥
ਹਮਾਯੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਬਰ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਕਿਥੇ ਹਨ? ॥੪੫॥
Where did Hamayun and Akbar had gone?(45)
ਬਿਦਿਹਸਾਕੀਯਾਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੰਗੇਫ਼ਿਰੰਗ॥
ਹੇ ਸਾਕੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਰੰਗ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ (ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦਾ) ਪਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ
(The poet says) ‘Oh! Saki. Give me the reddish wine of Europe.
ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਆਮਦਮਰਾਵਕਤਜ਼ਦਤੇਗ਼ਜੰਗ॥੪੬॥
ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਵਾਹਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪੬॥
‘Which I would relish when I brandish the sword during the war.(46)
ਬਮਨਦਿਹਕਿਖ਼ੁਦਰਾਪਯੋਰਸਕੁਨਮ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਉਹ ਪਿਆਲਾ) ਦੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲਭ ਸਕਾਂ
‘Give it to me so that I could contemplate,
ਬਤੇਗ਼ਆਜ਼ਮਾਈਸ਼ਕੋਹਸਕੁਨਮ॥੪੭॥੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਤੇਗ਼ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾ ਸਕਣ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਾਂ ॥੪੭॥੮॥
‘And with the sword annihilate (the evil forces).’(47)(8)
ੴਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫ਼ਤਹ॥
The Lord is One and the Victory is of the True Guru.
ਕਮਾਲਸ਼ਕਰਾਮਾਤਆਜ਼ਮਕਰੀਮ॥
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਰਾਮਾਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੂ ਹੈ।
He is absolute, divine, eminent, and compassionate.
ਰਜ਼ਾਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਰਾਜ਼ਕਰਹਾਕੋਰਹੀਮ॥੧॥
ਆਪਣੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ (ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਰਿਜ਼ਕ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਆਲੂ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
The destiny-prevailer, the sustainer, the eliminator of bondage and considerate.(1)
ਬਜਾਕਰਦਿਹੰਦਈਂਜ਼ਮੀਨੋਜ਼ਮਾਨ॥
ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
To the devotees, He has endowed the earth, the sky.
ਮਲੂਕੋਮਲਾਯਕਹਮਹਆਂਜਹਾਨ॥੨॥
ਲੋਕ, ਪਰਲੋਕ, ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
The temporal world and the heavens.(2)
