ਸੁੰਦਰ ਛਬੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਸ਼ੋਭਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅੰਗ-ਅੰਗ ਦੀ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਲਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋਭਿਤਕਚਕਾਰੇਅਤਘੁੰਘਰਾਰੇਰਸਨਰਸਾਰੇਮ੍ਰਿਦਬੈਣੰ॥
ਕਾਲੇ ਕੇਸ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਕੁੰਡਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਰਸਨਾ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ
Seeing his winsome body and elegant limbs, the god of love is feeling shy, he has back curly hair and sweet speech
ਮੁਖਿਛਕਤਸੁਬਾਸੰਦਿਨਸਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੰਜਨੁਸਸਭਾਸੰਤਸਸੋਭੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੋਭ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਨੋ ਸੂਰਜ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਮੁਖ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਹੈ,
His face is fragranted and appears shining like sun and glorifying like moon.
ਰੀਝਤਚਖਚਾਰੰਸੁਰਪੁਰਪਯਾਰੰਦੇਵਦਿਵਾਰੰਲਖਿਲੋਭੰ॥੬੦੧॥
(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸੁਅਰਗ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਲੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੬੦੧॥
On seeing him all feel delighted and the people of the abode of gods also do not hesitate to see him.601.

ਦੁਤੀਆਧੋਪੁਗਹਿਤ੍ਰਿਤੀਕਟਾਰੀ॥
ਦੂਜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਰਚ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਫੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
In the second hand was another arm named Dhop and in the third hand there was spear
ਚਤ੍ਰਥਹਾਥਸੈਹਥੀਉਜਿਆਰੀ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਚੌਥੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੈਹੱਥੀਂ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
In his fourth hand there was a weapons named Saihathi having sharp glimmer,
ਗੋਫਨਗੁਰਜਕਰਤਚਮਕਾਰੀ॥੬੦੨॥
(ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ) ਗੋਪੀਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ) ਗੁਰਜ ਚਮਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦੨॥
In his fifth hand and sixth hand there was a glittering mace and a weapon named Gophan.602.

ਸਤਏਅਸਭਾਰੀਗਦਹਿਉਭਾਰੀਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਲਸੁਧਾਰੀਛੁਰਕਾਰੀ॥
ਸੱਤਵੇਂ (ਹੱਥ) ਵਿੱਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ) ਭਾਰੀ ਗਦਾ ਉਭਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। (ਨੌਵੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਅਤੇ (ਦਸਵੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ) ਛੁਰਾ ਪਕੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
In his seventh hand there was another heavy and swollen mace and
ਜੰਬੂਵਾਅਰਬਾਨੰਸੁਕਸਿਕਮਾਨੰਚਰਮਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨੰਧਰਭਾਰੀ॥
(ਯਾਰਵੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ) ਜੰਬੂਆ, (ਬਾਰ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਨਾਲ) ਤੀਰ, (ਤੇਰ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਨਾਲ) ਕਮਾਨ ਖਿੱਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਚੌਦਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ) ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਚੌੜੀ ਢਾਲ ਧਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
In other hands there were trident, pincers, arrows, bow etc. as weapons and arms.
ਪੰਦ੍ਰਏਗਲੋਲੰਪਾਸਅਮੋਲੰਪਰਸਅਡੋਲੰਹਥਿਨਾਲੰ॥
ਪੰਦ੍ਰਵੇਂ (ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ) ਗੁਲੇਲ, (ਸੋਲ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ) ਅਮੋਲਕ ਫਾਹੀ, (ਸਤਾਰ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ) ਮਜਬੂਤ ਗੰਡਾਸਾ ਅਤੇ (ਅਠਾਰ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ) ਬੰਦੂਕ ਫੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
In his fifteenth hand there were an arm-like pellet bow and weapons named Pharsa.
ਬਿਛੂਆਪਹਰਾਯੰਪਟਾਭ੍ਰਮਾਯੰਜਿਮਜਮਧਾਯੰਬਿਕਰਾਲੰ॥੬੦੩॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ) ਬਿਛੂਆ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਵੀਹਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ) ਪੱਟਾ ਫਿਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਜਮ ਵਾਂਗ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਾਵਣ ਗਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਭੱਜਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦੩॥
He had worn in his hands steel-hooked weapons shaped like tiger’s claws and he was roaming like dreadful Yama.603.

He was repeating the name of Shiva from one face,
ਦੁਤੀਅਪ੍ਰਭਾਜਾਨਕੀਨਿਹਾਰੰ॥
ਦੂਜੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਸੀਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
From the second he was looking at the beauty of Sita
ਤ੍ਰਿਤੀਅਝੁੰਡਸਭਸੁਭਟਪਚਾਰੰ॥
ਤੀਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ
From the third he was seeing his own warriors and

ਅਤੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੋ ਹੀ ਮਾਰੋ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦੪॥
From the fourth he was shouting “Kill, Kill”.604.

ਪੰਜਵੇਂ (ਮੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ) ਵੱਡੀ ਦੂਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਬਲ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਅਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਛਠਏਲਖਿਭ੍ਰਾਤੰਤਕਤਪਪਾਤੰਲਗਤਨਘਾਤੰਜੀਅਜਲਿਣੰ॥
ਛੇਵੇਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਾ (ਵਿਭੀਸ਼ਣ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਾਓ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦਾ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਸੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
From his fifth face he was looking at Hanuman and repeating the mantra at great speed and was trying to pull his strength. From his sixth head he was seeing his fallen brother Kumbhkarn and his heart was burning.
ਸਤਏਲਖਿਰਘੁਪਤਿਕਪਦਲਅਧਪਤਿਸੁਭਟਬਿਕਟਮਤਜੁਤਭ੍ਰਾਤੰ॥
ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ (ਸੁਗ੍ਰੀਵ) ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਤੇ (ਲਛਮਣ) ਭਰਾ ਸਮੇਤ (ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ) ਹਨ।
ਅਠਿਓਸਿਰਿਢੋਰੈਂਨਵਮਿਨਿਹੋਰੈਂਦਸਯਨਬੋਰੈਂਰਿਸਰਾਤੰ॥੬੦੫॥
ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਨੂੰ (ਗ਼ਮ ਨਾਲ) ਹਿਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਵਿਅੰਗ ਕਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦਸਵੇਂ ਨਾਲ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਭਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦੫॥
From his seventh head he was seeing Ram and the army of monkeys and other mighty warriors. He was shaking his eight head and surveying everything from his ninth head and he was getting highly infuriated with rage.605.

ਧਾਏਮਹਾਬੀਰਸਾਧੇਸਿਤੰਤੀਰਕਾਛੇਰਣੰਚੀਰਬਾਨਾਸੁਹਾਏ॥
ਬਹਾਦਰ ਯੋਧੇ ਭਜੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਚਿੱਟੇ ਤੀਰ ਖਿੱਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਯੁੱਧ-ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੋਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹਨ।
Settling their whit arrows the mighty warriors moved with beautiful dress on their bodies
ਰਵਾਕਰਦਮਰਕਬਯਲੋਤੇਜਇਮਸਭਚੂੰਤੁੰਦਅਜਦਹੋਓਮਿਆਜੰਗਾਹੇ॥
ਰਥ (ਮਰਕਬ) ਨੂੰ ਤੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਰਵਾਂ ਕਰਦ), ਜੋ ਜੰਗ ਅੰਦਰ (ਮਿਆਂ) ਅਜਿਹਾ ਤੇਜ਼ (ਤੁੰਦ) ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Their were very swift-moving and were exhibiting complete quickness in the battlefield
ਭਿੜੇਆਇਈਹਾਬੁਲੇਬੈਣਕੀਹਾਕਰੇਾਂਘਾਇਜੀਹਾਭਿੜੇਭੇੜਭਜੇ॥
'ਇਥੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਲੜੋ' ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਜਦੋਂ ਸੂਰਮੇਂ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ) ਭਿੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਕਈ ਸੂਰਮੇਂ) ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
Sometimes they fight on this side and challenging on the other and whenever they strike the blows, the enemies flee
ਪੀਯੋਪੋਸਤਾਨੇਭਛੋਰਾਬੜੀਨੇਕਹਾਛੈਅਣੀਰੋਧਣੀਨੇਨਿਹਾਰੈਂ॥੬੦੬॥
ਕਈ ਪੋਸਤ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰਬੜੀ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਕਿਥੇ ਹੈ? (ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਤਾਂ ਲਈਏ ॥੬੦੬॥
They appear like one intoxicated on eating hemp and roaming hither and thither.606.
ਗਾਜੇਮਹਾਸੂਰਘੁਮੀਰਣੰਹੂਰਭਰਮੀਨਭੰਪੂਰਬੇਖੰਅਨੂਪੰ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਗੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੂਰਾਂ ਫਿਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮਹਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਹੂਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਵਲੇਵਲਸਾਈਜੀਵੀਜੁਗਾਤਾਈਤੈਂਡੇਘੋਲੀਜਾਈਅਲਾਵੀਤਐਸੇ॥
(ਜੋ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਕਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ (ਅਲਾਵੀਤ) ਹਨ-ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਰਾਜ਼ੀ (ਵਲ) ਹੋ, ਜੁਗਾਂ ਤਕ ਜਿਊਂਦਾ ਰਹਿ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਪਰੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
The warriors roared and the heavenly damsels roamed in the sky in order to see the unique war. They prayed that this warrior waging the dreadful war should live for ages
ਲਗੋਲਾਰਥਾਨੇਬਰੋਰਾਜਮਾਨੇਕਹੋਅਉਰਕਾਨੇਹਠੀਛਾਡਥੇਸੋ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! (ਮੈਂ) ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੜ ਲਗਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਰ ਲਵੋ। ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਠੀ ਜੋਧੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ (ਕਾਨੇ) ਕਹਾਂ?
ਬਰੋਆਨਮੋਕੋਭਜੋਆਨਤੋਕੋਚਲੋਦੇਵਲੋਕੋਤਜੋਬੇਗਲੰਕਾ॥੬੦੭॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਵਰ ਲਵੋ। ਮੈਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੌਜ ਮੇਲਾ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ। ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਦੇਵ ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੋ ॥੬੦੭॥
And should firmly enjoy his rule. O warriors! forsake this Lanka and come to wed us and depart for heaven.607.

ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਦੈਂਤ ਹੋਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਬਹੁਤ ਜੋਸ਼ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ
Ravana, abandoning his senses, became very furious and attacked Ramchander,
ਜੋਸਬਡੋਕਰਕਉਸਲਿਸੰਅਧਬੀਚਹੀਤੇਸਰਕਾਟਉਤਾਰੇ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤੀਰ ਨੂੰ) ਅੱਧ ਵਿਚਾਲਿਓਂ ਹੀ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The king of Raghu clan on this side Ram intercepted midway his arrows
ਫੇਰਬਡੋਕਰਰੋਸਦਿਵਾਰਦਨਧਾਇਪਰੈਂਕਪਿਪੁੰਜਸੰਘਾਰੈ॥
ਰਾਵਣ (ਦਿਵਾਰਦਨ) ਫਿਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਟਸਲੋਹਹਥੀਪਰਸੰਗੜੀਏਜੰਬੁਵੇਜਮਦਾੜਚਲਾਵੈ॥੬੦੮॥
ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪੱਟਾ, ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਗੰਡਾਸਾ, ਬਰਛੇ (ਗੜੀਏ), ਜੰਬੂਏ ਤੇ ਜਮਦਾੜ (ਕਟਾਰ) ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦੮॥
Then he began to destroy collectively the army of monkeys and struck various types of terrible arms.608.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਖਾ ਕੇ (ਹੱਥ) ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰੇ
ਬੀਰਨਮਾਰਦੁਸਾਰਗਏਸਰਅੰਬਰਤੇਬਰਸੇਜਨਓਰੇ॥
ਜੋ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਨਿਕਲ (ਦੁਸਾਰ) ਗਏ, ਮਾਨੋ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਗੜੇ ਵਰ੍ਹਦੇ ਹੋਣ।
Ram took his bow in his hand and in great ire, discharged many arrows which killed the warriors and penetrating on the other side, came in shower again from the sky.
ਬਾਜਗਜੀਰਥਸਾਜਗਿਰੇਧਰਪਤ੍ਰਅਨੇਕਸੁਕਉਨਗਨਾਵੈ॥
ਘੋੜੇ, ਹਾਥੀ ਤੇ ਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਜ਼ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਵੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਗਿਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਫਾਗਨਪਉਨਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਬਹੇਬਨਪਤ੍ਰਨਤੇਜਨਪਤ੍ਰਉਡਾਨੇ॥੬੦੯॥

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰੇ,
ਸ੍ਰੋਣਨਨੈਕਲਗਯੋਤਿਨਕੇਤਨਫੋਰਜਿਰੈਤਨਪਾਰਪਧਾਰੇ॥
ਜੋ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਚੋਹੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਚ ਭੰਨ ਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ।
