ਭਯੋਏਕਪੁਤ੍ਰੰਤਹਾਜਾਨਕੀਤੈ॥
ਉਥੇ ਸੀਤਾ (ਦੇ ਗਰਭ) ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਮਨੋਰਾਮਕੀਨੋਦੁਤੀਰਾਮਤੇਲੈ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ (ਸੀਤਾ ਤੋਂ) ਦੂਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
Sita bore a son there who was just a replica of Ram
ਵਹੈਚਾਰਚਿਹਨੰਵਹੈਉਗ੍ਰਤੇਜੰ॥
ਉਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਤੇਜ ਹੈ,
ਮਨੋਅਪਅੰਸੰਦੁਤੀਕਾਢਿਭੇਜੰ॥੭੨੫॥
ਮਾਨੋਂ ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਦੇਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੭੨੫॥
He had the same colour, mask and splendour and it seemed that Ram had taken out his part and given to him.725.
ਦੀਯੋਏਕਪਾਲੰਸੁਬਾਲੰਰਿਖੀਸੰ॥
ਰਿਖੀਸੁਰ (ਬਾਲਮੀਕ) ਨੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਪੰਘੂੜਾ (ਸੀਤਾ ਨੂੰ) ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਲਸੈਚੰਦ੍ਰਰੂਪੰਕਿਧੋਦਯੋਸਈਸੰ॥
ਜੋ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵਰਗਾ ਚਮਕਦਾਰ ਸੀ, ਅਥਵਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਸੀ।
The great sage brought up that boy who was moonlike and lookede like the sun during the day.
ਗਯੋਏਕਦਿਵਸੰਰਿਖੀਸੰਧਿਯਾਨੰ॥
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਸੰਧਿਆ-ਪੂਜਾ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ।
ਲਯੋਬਾਲਸੰਗੰਗਈਸੀਅਨਾਨੰ॥੭੨੬॥
(ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ) ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੀਤਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ॥੭੨੬॥
One day the sage went for Sandhya-worship and Sita taking the boy with her went to take a bath.726.
ਰਹੀਜਾਤਸੀਤਾਮਹਾਮੋਨਜਾਗੇ॥
ਸੀਤਾ ਦੇ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਮਹਾਮੁਨੀ ਨੇ ਜਦ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਖੋਲੀ
ਬਿਨਾਬਾਲਪਾਲੰਲਖਯੋਸੋਕੁਪਾਗੇ॥
ਤਾਂ ਪਾਲਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਇਆ।
When the sage came out of his contemplation after the departure of Sita, he became anxious on not seeing the boy
ਕੁਸਾਹਾਥਲੈਕੈਰਚਯੋਏਕਬਾਲੰ॥
(ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਸ਼ਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਬਾਲਮੀਕ ਨੇ) ਇਕ ਬਾਲਕ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਤਿਸੀਰੂਪਰੰਗੰਅਨੂਪੰਉਤਾਲੰ॥੭੨੭॥
ਜੋ ਉਸੇ ਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਕਦ ਕਾਠ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ॥੭੨੭॥
He created another boy quickly of the same colour and form like the first boy out of the Kusha grass held by him in his hand.727.
ਫਿਰੀਨਾਇਸੀਤਾਕਹਾਆਨਦੇਖਯੋ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਸੀਤਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੁੜੀ ਤਾਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ
ਉਹੀਰੂਪਬਾਲੰਸੁਪਾਲੰਬਸੇਖਯੋ॥
ਕਿ ਉਸੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਬਾਲਕ ਪਾਲਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।
When Sita came back, she saw another boy of the same form seated there Sita said :
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਮੋਨਰਾਜੰਘਨੀਜਾਨਕੀਨੋ॥
(ਸੀਤਾ ਨੇ) ਮਹਾਮੁਨੀ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ
ਦੁਤੀਪੁਤ੍ਰਤਾਤੇਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਜਾਨਦੀਨੋ॥੭੨੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਦੂਜਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੭੨੮॥
“O great sage, you had been highly graceful towards me and given me she gift of two sons gracefully.”728.

BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਉਤੈਬਾਲਪਾਲੈਇਤੈਅਉਧਰਾਜੰ॥
ਉਧਰ (ਸੀਤਾ) ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਇਧਰ ਅਯੁਧਿਆ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ
ਬੁਲੇਬਿਪਜਗਯੰਤਜਯੋਏਕਬਾਜੰ॥
(ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ) ਨੇ ਯੱਗ ਲਈ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਘੋੜਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
On that side the boys were brought up and on this side Ram, the king of Avadh called the Brahmins and performed a Yajna
ਰਿਪੰਨਾਸਹੰਤਾਦਯੋਸੰਗਤਾਕੈ॥
ਸ਼ਤਰੂਘਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਘੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਬਡੀਫਉਜਲੀਨੇਚਲਯੋਸੰਗਵਾਕੈ॥੭੨੯॥
ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰਿਆ ॥੭੨੯॥
And for this purpose he let off a horse, Shatrughan went with that horse with a huge army.729.
ਫਿਰਯੋਦੇਸਦੇਸੰਨਰੇਸਾਣਬਾਜੰ॥
(ਉਹ) ਘੋੜਾ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਰਿਆ,
ਕਿਨੀਨਾਹਿਬਾਧਯੋਮਿਲੇਆਨਰਾਜੰ॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲੇ।
That horse reached in the territories of various kings, but none of them tied it
ਮਹਾਉਗ੍ਰਧਨਿਯਾਬਡੀਫਉਜਲੈਕੈ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਕਠੋਰ ਧਨੁਸ਼ਧਾਰੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ
ਪਰੇਆਨਪਾਯੰਬਡੀਭੇਟਦੈਕੈ॥੭੩੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਆ ਕੇ (ਸ਼ਤਰੂਘਨ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਏ ॥੭੩੦॥
The great kings alongwith their great forces fell at the feet of Shatrughan with presence.730.
ਦਿਸਾਚਾਰਜੀਤੀਫਿਰਯੋਫੇਰਿਬਾਜੀ॥
ਚੌਹਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਘੋੜਾ ਫਿਰ ਮੁੜ ਪਿਆ।
ਗਯੋਬਾਲਮੀਕੰਰਿਖਿਸਥਾਨਤਾਜੀ॥
(ਉਹ) ਘੋੜਾ ਬਾਲਮੀਕ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ 'ਤੇ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
Wandering in the four direction the horse also reached the hermitage of the sage Valmiki
ਜਬੈਭਾਲਪਤ੍ਰੰਲਵੰਛੋਰਬਾਚਯੋ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਬੱਧੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਪੱਤਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਦੋਂ ਲਵ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ
ਬਡੋਉਗ੍ਰਧੰਨਯਾਰਸੰਰੁਦ੍ਰਰਾਚਯੋ॥੭੩੧॥
ਤਾਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਲਵ ਰੌਦ੍ਰ ਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ ॥੭੩੧॥
Where Lava and his companions read the letter written on the head of the horse, they in great fury looked like Rudra.731.
ਬ੍ਰਿਛੰਬਾਜਬਾਧਯੋਲਖਯੋਸਸਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਘੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਤਰੂਘਨ ਦੇ) ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ,
ਬਡੋਨਾਦਕੈਸਰਬਸੈਨਾਪੁਕਾਰੀ॥
ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ-
They tied the horse with a tree and the whole army of Shatrughan saw it, the warriors of the army shouted :
ਕਹਾਜਾਤਰੇਬਾਲਲੀਨੇਤੁਰੰਗੰ॥
'ਹੇ ਬਾਲਕ! ਘੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਥੇ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
ਤਜੋਨਾਹਿਯਾਕੋਸਜੋਆਨਜੰਗੰ॥੭੩੨॥
ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਆ ਕੇ (ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ) ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ॥੭੩੨॥
“O boy! where are you taking this horse? Either leave it or wage a war with us. “732.
ਸੁਣਯੋਨਾਮਜੁਧੰਜਬੈਸ੍ਰਉਣਸੂਰੰ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣਿਆ
ਮਹਾਸਸਤ੍ਰਸਉਡੀਮਹਾਲੋਹਪੂਰੰ॥
ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਕਵਚਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ
When those weapon-wielders heard the name of war, they showered arrows extensively
ਹਠੇਬੀਰਹਾਠੈਸਭੈਸਸਤ੍ਰਲੈਕੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਠ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੂਰਮੇਂ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਵੇਖੇ)
ਪਰਯੋਮਧਿਸੈਣੰਬਡੋਨਾਦਿਕੈਕੈ॥੭੩੩॥
ਤਾਂ ਲਵ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਾ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੜਿਆ ॥੭੩੩॥
All the warriors began to fight with persistence, holding their weapons, and here Lava jumped into the army raising a frightening thundering sound.733.
ਭਲੀਭਾਤਮਾਰੈਪਚਾਰੇਸੁਸੂਰੰ॥
ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਵੰਗਾਰ-ਵੰਗਾਰ ਕੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ।
ਗਿਰੇਜੁਧਜੋਧਾਰਹੀਧੂਰਪੂਰੰ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਭਰੀ ਗਈ।
Many warriors were killed, they fell down on the earth and the dust arose on all the four sides
ਉਠੀਸਸਤ੍ਰਝਾਰੰਅਪਾਰੰਤਵੀਰੰ॥
ਅਪਾਰ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅੱਗ ਵਰ੍ਹਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਭ੍ਰਮੇਰੁੰਡਮੁੰਡਤਨੰਤਛਤੀਰੰ॥੭੩੪॥
(ਕਿਤਨੇ) ਹੀ ਰੁੰਡ-ਮੁੰਡ ਰੁਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ (ਕਿਤਨੇ ਹੀ) ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੱਛੇ ਹੋਏ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੭੩੪॥
The warriors began to shower blows of their weapons and the trunks and heads of the warriors began to fly hither and thither.734.
ਗਿਰੇਲੁਥਪਥੰਸੁਜੁਥਤਬਾਜੀ॥
ਲੋਥਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਡਿੱਗੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਸਨ, ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ।
ਭ੍ਰਮੈਛੂਛਹਾਥੀਬਿਨਾਸੁਆਰਤਾਜੀ॥
ਕਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਹਾਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਘੋੜੇ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
The path was filled with the corpses of the horses and the elephants,
ਗਿਰੇਸਸਤ੍ਰਹੀਣੰਬਿਅਸਤ੍ਰੰਤਸੂਰੰ॥
ਕਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਸੂਰਮੇਂ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੰਚਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬੇ-ਸੁੱਧ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ।
ਹਸੇਭੂਤਪ੍ਰੇਤੰਭ੍ਰਮੀਗੈਣਹੂਰੰ॥੭੩੫॥
ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਹੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੂਰਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ॥੭੩੫॥
And horses began to run without drivers, the warriors fell being deprived of weapons and the ghosts, fiends and the heavenly damsels began to wander smilingly.735.
ਘਣੰਘੋਰਨੀਸਾਣਬਜੇਅਪਾਰੰ॥
ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਰਜ ਵਾਂਗ ਅਪਾਰ ਧੌਂਸੇ ਵਜਦੇ ਸਨ।
