ਜਦੋਂ ਬਲਭਦ੍ਰ ਗਰਭ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਤੇ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਸਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਤਾਹੀਤੇਮੰਤ੍ਰਕੇਜੋਰਸੋਕਾਢਿਕੈਰੋਹਿਨੀਕੇਉਰਬੀਚਧਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਮੰਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ, (ਉਸ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਢ ਕੇ ਰੋਹਿਣੀ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
When balbhadra was conceived, Devaki and Vasudev sat to hold consultations and with the power of mantras, he was transferred from the womb of Devaki to the womb of Rohini
ਕੰਸਕਦਾਚਹਨੇਸਿਸੁਕੋਤਿਹਤੇਮਨਮੈਬਸੁਦੇਵਡਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਕਿਧਰੇ ਕੰਸ (ਇਸ) ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇ, ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਡਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੇਖਮਨੋਜਗਦੇਖਨਕੋਜਗਭੀਤਰਰੂਪਨਵੀਨਕਰਿਓਹੈ॥੫੫॥
(ਸਮਾਂ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਜਨਮ ਲਿਆ) ਮਾਨੋ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ ਨੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਜਗ ਵਿਚ ਨਵਾਂ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੫੫॥
Thinking that Kansa may also kill him, Vasudev was frightened. It seemed that Sheshanaga had assumed a new form in order to see the world.55.

ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ (ਦੇਵਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ) ਮਾਯਾ-ਪਤਿ ('ਕਿਸਨ ਪਤਿ') ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਦਾ 'ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ' ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਜਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਬਿਸ੍ਵਤਰਬੇਨਿਮਿਤਤਨਮੈਕਰਿਯੋਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ॥੫੬॥
(ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ) ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰਨ ਲਈ (ਦੇਵਕੀ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੬॥
Both Devaki and Vasudev, began to remember Vishnu, the lord of Lakshmi with extreme saintliness and here Vishnu entered and enlightened the body of Devaki in order to redeem the world darkened by vices.56.

ਸੰਖਗਦਾਕਰਿਅਉਰਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਲਧਰੇਤਨਿਕਉਚਬਡੇਬਡਭਾਗੀ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਖ, ਗਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਕਵਚ (ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ) ਅਤੇ ਵਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਨੰਦਗਹੈਕਰਿਸਾਰੰਗਸਾਰੰਗਪੀਤਧਰੈਪਟਪੈਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ॥
(ਚੌਥੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਖੜਗ, ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਮਲ (ਛੇਵੇਂ ਵਿਚ) ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਸਰੂਪ ਨੇ ਪੀਲੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
Vishnu appeared in the womb of sleeping Devaki (in the form of Krishna) in yellow dress, wearing armour on body and holding conch, mace, trident, sword and bow in his hands
ਸੋਈਹੁਤੀਜਨਮਿਉਇਹਕੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੈਡਰਪੈਮਨਮੈਉਠਿਜਾਗੀ॥
ਸੁਤੀ ਪਈ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਵਿਚ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ) ਜਨਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਡਰਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਜਾਗ ਕੇ ਉਠ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ।
ਦੇਵਕੀਪੁਤ੍ਰਨਜਾਨਿਯੋਲਖਿਓਹਰਿਕੈਕੈਪ੍ਰਨਾਮਸੁਪਾਇਨਲਾਗੀ॥੫੭॥
ਦੇਵਕੀ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਈ ॥੫੭॥
Devaki was terrified, she awoke and sat down she did not know that a son had been born to her seeing Vishnu apparently, she bowed at his feet.57.

ਲਖਿਓਦੇਵਕੀਹਰਿਮਨੈਲਖਿਓਨਕਰਿਕਰਿਤਾਤ॥
ਦੇਵਕੀ ਨੇ ਹਰਿ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ।
ਲਖਿਓਜਾਨਕਰਿਮੋਹਿਕੀਤਾਨੀਤਾਨਿਕਨਾਤ॥੫੮॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ (ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਸਲ ਰੂਪ) ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। (ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਕਨਾਤ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ ਤਾਣ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੫੮॥
Devaki did not consider him as a son, but saw him in the form of God, still, being a mother, her attachment grew.58.
ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਜਨਮਜਬਹੀਭਇਓਦੇਵਨਭਇਓਹੁਲਾਸ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਤ ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਸਤ੍ਰਸਬੈਅਬਨਾਸਹੋਹਿੰਹਮਕੋਹੋਇਬਿਲਾਸ॥੫੯॥
(ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੇ) ਹੁਣ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੫੯॥
As soon as Krishna was born, the gods were filled with joy and thought that then the enemies would be destroyed and them they would be overjoyed.59.
ਆਨੰਦਸੋਸਬਦੇਵਤਨਸੁਮਨਦੀਨਬਰਖਾਇ॥
ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ,
ਸੋਕਹਰਨਦੁਸਟਨਦਲਨਪ੍ਰਗਟੇਜਗਮੋਆਇ॥੬੦॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਲ ਸੁਟਣ ਵਾਲੇ (ਭਗਵਾਨ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੬੦॥
Filled with delight, the gods showered flowers and believed that Vishnu, the destroyer of sorrows and tyrants had manifested himself in the world.60.
ਜੈਜੈਕਾਰਭਯੋਜਬੈਸੁਨੀਦੇਵਕੀਕਾਨਿ॥
ਜਦੋਂ (ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਨੇ ਕੰਨੀ ਸੁਣੀ
ਤ੍ਰਾਸਤਿਹੁਇਮਨਮੈਕਹਿਯੋਸੋਰਕਰੈਕੋਆਨਿ॥੬੧॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਸਹਿਮੀ ਹੋਈ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹਾ, (ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ) ਆ ਕੇ ਕੌਣ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੧॥
When Devaki heard the hailings with her own ears, then she with fear began to think as to who was creating noise.61.
ਬਾਸੁਦੇਵਅਰੁਦੇਵਕੀਮੰਤ੍ਰਕਰੈਮਨਮਾਹਿ॥
ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ
ਕੰਸਕਸਾਈਜਾਨਕੈਹੀਐਅਧਿਕਡਰਪਾਹਿ॥੬੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਕੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਸਾਈ ਜਾਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੬੨॥
Vasudev and Devaki began to think between themselves and considering Kansa as a butcher, their hearts were filled with great fear.62.
ਇਤਿਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਜਨਮਬਰਨਨੰਸਮਾਪਤੰ॥

ਦੋਹਾਂ (ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਤੇ ਦੇਵਕੀ) ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ (ਕਿ) ਕਿਧਰੇ ਕੰਸ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਵਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ,
ਨੰਦਹਿਕੇਘਰਿਆਇਹਉਡਾਰਿਕੈਠਾਟਇਹੀਮਨਮੈਤਿਨਸਾਜਾ॥
(ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਸੁਟ ਆਈਏ; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹੋ ਸਲਾਹ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਕੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
Both of them thought that the king may not also kill this son, they decided to leave him in the house of Nand
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕਹਿਓਮਨਮੈਨਡਰੋਤੁਮਜਾਹੁਨਿਸੰਕਬਜਾਵਤਬਾਜਾ॥
ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਡਰੋ ਨਾ, ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧੌਂਸੇ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਜਾਓ (ਕੋਈ ਵੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇਗਾ)।
ਮਾਯਾਕੀਖੈਂਚਿਕਨਾਤਲਈਧਰਬਾਲਕਸਊਰਭਆਪਿਬਿਰਾਜਾ॥੬੩॥
ਮਾਯਾ ਦੀ ਕਨਾਤ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ ਤਣ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਬਿਰਾਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੩॥
Krishna said, “Do not be fearful and go without any suspicion,” saying this Krishna spread his deceptive show (Yoga-maya) in all the four directions and sat himself in the form of a beautiful child.63.

ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ (ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ) ਹੋਏ, (ਤਦੋਂ) ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਇਹ (ਕੰਮ) ਕੀਤਾ।
ਦਸਹਜਾਰਗਾਈਭਲੀਮਨੈਮਨਸਿਕਰਿਦੀਨ॥੬੪॥
ਦਸ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗਊਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਨ (ਦੇਣ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੬੪॥
On the birth of Krishna, Vasudev, in his mind, gave in charity ten thousand cows for the protection of Krishna.64.

ਛੂਟਿਕਿਵਾਰਗਏਘਰਿਕੇਦਰਿਕੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਬਰਕੇਚਲਤੇ॥
ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਚਲਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਏ।
ਹਰਖੇਸਰਖੇਬਸੁਦੇਵਹਿਕੇਪਗਜਾਇਛੁਹਿਓਜਮਨਾਜਲਤੇ॥
ਹਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਅਗੇ ਵਧੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਛੋਹਿਆ।
When Vasudev started, the doors of the house opened, his feet began to move further and went to enter Yamuna the water of Yamuna came forward to see Krishna
ਹਰਿਦੇਖਨਕੌਹਰਿਅਉਬਢਕੇਹਰਿਦਉਰਗਏਤਨਕੇਬਲਤੇ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਜਮਨਾ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਿਆ (ਅਤੇ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ) ਦੇ ਤਨ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਪਰੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਕਾਜਇਹੀਕਹਿਦੋਊਗਏਜੁਖਿਝੈਬਹੁਪਾਪਨਕੀਮਲਤੇ॥੬੫॥
ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਤੋਂ ਖਿਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਗਏ ਸਨ ॥੬੫॥
Sheshanaga powerfully ran forward, he spread his hoods and waved them like fly-whisk and alongwith it the waters of Yamuna and Sheshanaga both conveyed to Krishna about the increasing dirt of sin in the world.65.

ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ (ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ) ਜਦੋਂ ਚਾਲੇ ਪਾਏ, ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾਲ ਦਾ ਪਸਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਅਸੁਰਜਿਤੇਚਉਕੀਹੁਤੇਸੋਇਗਏਤਤਕਾਲ॥੬੬॥
(ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਜਿੰਨੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਪਹਿਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਤੁਰਤ ਸੌਂ ਗਏ ॥੬੬॥
When Vasudev began to walk taking Krishna with him, Krishna spread his deceptive show (maya), on account of which the demons, who were there as watchmen went to sleep.66.

ਕੰਸਹਿਕੇਡਰਤੇਬਸੁਦੇਵਸੁਪਾਇਜਬੈਜਮੁਨਾਮਧਿਠਾਨੋ॥
ਕੰਸ ਦੇ ਡਰੋਂ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਜਮਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਰ ਰਖੇ,
ਮਾਨਕੈਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਪੁਰਾਤਨਕੋਜਲਪਾਇਨਭੇਟਨਕਾਜਉਠਾਨੋ॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਸਨ ਲਈ, ਜਮਨਾ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
Because of the fear of Kansa, when Vasudev put his feet in Yamuna it surged up to touch the feet of Krishna
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਜਸੁਉਚਮਹਾਕਬਿਨੇਅਪਨੇਮਨਮੈਪਹਿਚਾਨੋ॥
ਉਸ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਛਾਣਿਆਂ ਹੈ,
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੋਜਾਨਕਿਧੋਪਤਿਹੈਇਹਕੈਜਮੁਨਾਤਿਹਭੇਟਤਮਾਨੋ॥੬੭॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਤੀ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਸਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ? ॥੬੭॥
Recognising in its mind some old affection the poet felt thus about the high praise of that elegance that considering Krishna her Lord, Yamuna rose up to touch his feet.67.
