ਜਬੈਜਸੋਦਾਸੁਇਗਈਮਾਯਾਕੀਯੋਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਜਸੋਧਾ ਸੌਂ ਗਈ, (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਮਾਇਆ ਨੇ (ਬਾਲਿਕਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ) ਜਨਮ ਲਿਆ।
ਡਾਰਿਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਤਿਹਪੈਸੁਤਾਲੀਨੀਹੈਕਰਿਤਾਸ॥੬੮॥
(ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਟਾ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਕ ਲਿਆਂਦੀ ॥੬੮॥
On this side when Yashoda went to sleep and Yoga-maya (deceptive show) appeared in her womb putting Krishna by the side of Yashoda, Vasudev picked up her daughter and started backwards.68.
ਸਵੈਯਾ॥

ਮਾਯਾਕੋਲੈਕਰਮੈਬਸੁਦੇਵਸੁਸੀਘ੍ਰਚਲਿਯੋਅਪੁਨੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਮਾਹੀ॥
ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।
Taking Maya in his hands, Vasudev quickly went to his house and
ਸੋਇਗਏਪਰਦੁਆਰਸਬੈਘਰਬਾਹਰਿਭੀਤਰਿਕੀਸੁਧਿਨਾਹੀ॥
(ਇਧਰ) ਘਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਉਤੇ (ਜੋ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ) ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸੌਂ ਗਏ। (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਬਾਹਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੀ (ਕੁਝ ਵੀ) ਸੁਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
At that time all the people were sleeping and none had the consciousness about the happenings inside and outside
ਦੇਵਕੀਤੀਰਗਯੋਜਬਹੀਸਭਤੇਮਿਲਗੇਪਟਆਪਸਿਮਾਹੀ॥
ਜਦੋਂ (ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਹਿਤ) ਦੇਵਕੀ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ, (ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ) ਸਾਰੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਗਏ।
When Vasudev came near Devaki, the doors closed themselves
ਬਾਲਿਉਠੀਜਬਰੋਦਨਕੈਜਗਕੈਸੁਧਿਜਾਇਕਰੀਨਰਨਾਹੀ॥੬੯॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਲੜਕੀ ਜਾਗ ਕੇ ਉਠੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਣ ਲਗੀ, (ਤਾਂ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ) ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੬੯॥
When the servants heard the cries of the female infant, they informed the king.69.
ਰੋਇਉਠੀਵਹਬਾਲਿਜਬੈਤਬਸ੍ਰੋਨਨਮੈਸੁਨਿਲੀਧੁਨਿਹੋਰੈ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਲੜਕੀ ਰੋਂਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਉਠੀ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ।
When that female infant wept, then all the people heard her cries,
ਧਾਇਗਏਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੰਸਹਕੇਘਰਿਜਾਇਕਹਿਯੋਜਨਮਿਯੋਰਿਪੁਤੋਰੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਭਜ ਕੇ ਕੰਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਜੰਮ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
The servants ran to inform the king, they told him that his enemy had taken birth
ਲੈਕੇਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਗਯੋਤਿਹਕੇਚਲਿਜਾਇਗਹੀਕਰਤੈਕਰਿਜੋਰੈ॥
(ਕੰਸ) ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਉਥੇ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ (ਦੇਵਕੀ ਦੇ) ਹੱਥੋਂ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ (ਲੜਕੀ ਨੂੰ) ਪਕੜ ਲਿਆ।
Holding fast his sword in both his hands Kansa went there
ਦੇਖਹੁਬਾਤਮਹਾਜੜਕੀਅਬਆਦਿਕਕੇਬਿਖਚਾਬਤਭੋਰੈ॥੭੦॥
ਹੁਣ ਮਹਾ ਮੂਰਖ (ਕੰਸ) ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵੇਖੋ (ਜੋ) ਅਦਰਕ ਦੇ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਸ਼ (ਮਿੱਠੇ ਤੇਲੀਏ ਦੀ ਗੰਢੀ) ਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੭੦॥
Look at the vicious action of this great fool, who himself is going to drink the poison i.e. he himself is preparing for his own death.70.
ਲਾਇਰਹੀਉਰਸੋਤਿਹਕੋਮੁਖਤੇਕਹਿਯੋਬਾਤਸੁਨੋਮਤਵਾਰੇ॥
(ਦੇਵਕੀ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਕੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਹੇ ਪਾਗਲ!
Devaki had hugged the female infant to her bosom she said,
ਪੁਤ੍ਰਹਨੇਮਮਪਾਵਕਸੇਛਠਹੀਤੁਮਪਾਥਰਪੈਹਨਿਡਾਰੇ॥
(ਮੇਰੀ) ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗ ਵਰਗੇ (ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲੇ) ਛੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰ ਉਤੇ ਪਟਕਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮਾਰ।
“O fool! listen to me, you have already killed my radiant sons by dashing them against the stones”
ਛੀਨਕੈਕੰਸਕਹਿਯੋਮੁਖਤੇਇਹਭੀਪਟਕੇਇਹਕੈਅਬਨਾਰੇ॥
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ) ਖੋਹ ਕੇ ਕੰਸ ਨੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਟਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Hearing these words Kansa immediately seized the infant and said, “Now, I shall also kill her by dashing her.”
ਦਾਮਿਨੀਹ੍ਵੈਲਹਕੀਨਭਮੈਜਬਰਾਖਲਈਵਹਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ॥੭੧॥
(ਉਹ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ) ਬਿਜਲੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਚਮਕੀ; ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਰੱਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੭੧॥
When Kansa did all that, then this infant, who was protected by the Lord, went as lightning in the sky and flased.71.
ਕਬਿਤੁ॥
ਕਬਿੱਤ:

ਕੈਕੈਕ੍ਰੋਧਮਨਿਕਰਿਬ੍ਯੋਤਵਾਕੇਮਾਰਬੇਕੀਚਾਕਰਨਕਹਿਓਮਾਰਡਾਰੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਬਾਤਹੈ॥
(ਕੰਸ ਨੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਰਾਜ ਆਗਿਆ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟੋ।
Kansa said to his servants in great fury and after great consideration, “I order you to kill her
ਕਰਮੋਉਠਾਇਕੈਬਨਾਇਭਾਰੇਪਾਥਰਪੈਰਾਜਕਾਜਰਾਖਬੇਕੋਕਛੁਨਹੀਪਾਤਹੈ॥
(ਨੌਕਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਕ ਕੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਉਤੇ (ਪਟਕਾਉਣ ਲਗੇ) ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਵ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
” Holding her in dashed against a huge stone
ਆਪਨੋਸੋਬਲਕਰਿਰਾਖੈਇਹਭਲੀਭਾਤਸ੍ਵਛੰਦਬੰਦਕੈਕੈਛੂਟਇਹਜਾਤਹੈ॥
ਨੌਕਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ (ਮਾਇਆਵੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੂੰ) ਭਲੀ ਭਾਂਤ ਪਕੜੀ ਰਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕੰਨਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਤਨ ਨਾਲ ਖ਼ਲਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
But inspite of being held in such strong hands, she herself was slipping away and spattering
ਮਾਯਾਕੋਬਢਾਇਕੈਸੁਸਭਨਸੁਨਾਇਕੈਸੁਐਸੇਉਡੀਬਾਰਾਜੈਸੇਪਾਰਾਉਡਿਜਾਤਹੈ॥੭੨॥
ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਡ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਰਾ ਉਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭੨॥
Because of the impact of maya, she splashed like mercury, causing everyone to listen to her voice.72.
ਸਵੈਯਾ॥

ਆਠਭੁਜਾਕਰਿਕੈਅਪਨੀਸਭਨੋਕਰਮੈਬਰਆਯੁਧਲੀਨੇ॥
(ਕੰਨਿਆਂ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਠ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਗੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਏ।
This maya manifested herself assuming eight arms and holding her weapons in her hands
ਜਵਾਲਨਿਕਾਸਕਹੀਮੁਖਤੇਰਿਪੁਅਉਰਭਯੋਤੁਮਰੋਮਤਿਹੀਨੇ॥
ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਅੱਗ ਕਢ ਕੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੀ, ਹੇ ਮਤ-ਹੀਣੇ ਕੰਸ! ਤੇਰਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
The flames of fire were coming out of her mouth, she said, “O foolish Kansa! your enemy has taken birth at another place”
