ਕਾਜਰਨੈਨਿਦੀਏਮਨਮੋਹਤਈਗੁਰਕੀਬਿੰਦੁਰੀਜੁਬਿਰਾਜੈ॥
ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਜਲਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਸ਼ਿੰਗ੍ਰਫ ਦੀ ਬਿੰਦੀ ਬਿਰਾਜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਟਾਡਭੁਜਾਨਬਨ੍ਰਹੀਕਟਿਕੇਹਿਰਪਾਇਨਨੂਪਰਕੀਧੁਨਿਬਾਜੈ॥
ਬਾਹਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਜੂ-ਬੰਦ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਪਤਲਾ ਲਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਝਾਂਜਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਜਣ ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
She had put antimony in her eyes and a round mark on her forehead, her arms were beautiful, the waist was slim like a lion and there was sound of anklets from her feet
ਹਾਰਗਰੇਮੁਕਤਾਹਲਕੇਗਈਨੰਦਦੁਆਰਹਿਕੰਸਕੈਕਾਜੈ॥
ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਮੋਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹਾਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੂਤਨਾ) ਕੰਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਈ।
Wearing a necklace of gems, she reached at the door of Nand in order to perform the task assigned by Kansa
ਬਾਸਸੁਬਾਸਬਸੀਸਭਹੀਤਨਆਨਨਮੈਸਸਿਕੋਟਿਕਲਾਜੈ॥੮੪॥
ਉਤਮ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਸ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ (ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ) ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੮੪॥
The fragrance emanating from her body spread in all the four directions and seeing her face even the moon felt shy.84.

ਆਸਨਪੈਬੈਠਾਇਕੈਕਹਿਓਬਾਤਕਹੁਬਾਲ॥੮੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਸਣ ਉਤੇ ਬਿਠਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਬਾਲਿਕਾ! ਦਸ (ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਈ ਹੈਂ?) ॥੮੫॥
Yashoda gave her respect and asked about her welfare and giving her a seat, she began to talk to her.85.

ਹੇ ਚੌਧਰਾਣੀ! (ਮੈਂ) ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੇ (ਘਰ) ਅਨੂਪ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਮੋਗੋਦੀਦੈਦੂਧਕੋਹੋਵੈਸਭਕੋਭੂਪ॥੮੬॥
(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮੇਰੀ ਗੋਦ (ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਮੈਂ) ਦੁੱਧ ਦੇਵਾਂ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ) ਸਭ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ॥੮੬॥
“O mother! I have come to know that you have given birth to a unique child, give him to me so that I may cause him to drink my milk, because this promising child will become the emperor of all.”86.

ਗੋਦਦਯੋਜਸੁਧਾਤਬਤਾਕੇਸੁਅੰਤਸਮੈਤਬਹੀਉਨਿਲੀਨੋ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਜਸੋਧਾ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੋਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲ (ਆ ਗਿਆ) ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ) ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
Then Yashoda put Krishna in her lap and in this way Putana called her own end
ਭਾਗਬਡੇਦੁਰਬੁਧਨਿਕੇਭਗਵਾਨਹਿਕੌਜਿਨਿਅਸਥਨਦੀਨੋ॥
(ਉਸ) ਮੰਦ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੂਤਨਾ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਥਣ ਚੁੰਘਾਇਆ।
That woman of vicious intellect had been very fortunate because she made the Lord to drink milk from her teats
ਛੀਰਰਕਤ੍ਰਸੁਤਾਹੀਕੇਪ੍ਰਾਨਸੁਐਚਲਏਮੁਖਮੋਇਹਕੀਨੋ॥
(ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਇਹ ਕੀਤਾ (ਕਿ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਵੀ ਦੁੱਧ (ਨਾਲ ਹੀ) ਮੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਖਿਚ ਲਏ।
ਜਿਉਗਗੜੀਤੁਮਰੀਤਨਲਾਇਕੈਤੇਲਲਏਤੁਚਛਾਡਕੈਪੀਨੋ॥੮੭॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਗੜੀ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰਬੀ ਲਾ ਕੇ, ਤੇਲ ਲਗੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਲਹੂ ਪੀ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੮੭॥
Krishna sucked her blood (instead of milk) with his mouth alongwith his life-force like the pressing and filtering the oil from the colocynth.87.

ਪਾਪਕਰਿਓਬਹੁਪੂਤਨਾਜਾਸੋਨਰਕਡਰਾਇ॥
ਪੂਤਨਾ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਾ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਨਰਕ ਵੀ ਡਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਅੰਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਹਰਿਛਾਡਿਦੈਬਸੀਬਿਕੁੰਠਹਿਜਾਇ॥੮੮॥
(ਪਰ) ਅੰਤ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ, "ਹੇ ਹਰਿ! ਛੱਡ ਦਿਓ," (ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਵਸੀ ॥੮੮॥
Putana committed such a great sin, which may even frighten the hell, while dying she said, “O Krishna! Leave me,” and saying this much she went to heaven.88.

ਦੇਹਿਛਿਕੋਸਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਭਈਪੁਖਰਾਜਿਮਪੇਟਮੁਖੋਨਲੂਆਰੇ॥
(ਪੂਤਨਾ ਦੀ) ਦੇਹ ਛੇ ਕੋਹਾਂ ਤਕ (ਲੰਬੀ) ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਪੇਟ ਛੱਪੜ ਵਾਂਗ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਨਾਲੇ (ਵਰਗਾ) ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
The body of Putana grew as long as six kos her belly looked like a tank and face like a gutter
ਡੰਡਦੁਕੂਲਭਏਤਿਹਕੇਜਨੁਬਾਰਸਿਬਾਲਤੇਸੇਖਪੂਆਰੇ॥
(ਦੋਵੇਂ) ਬਾਹਵਾਂ ਉਸ (ਛੱਪੜ ਦੇ) ਕੰਢੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਲ ਮਾਨੋ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਕਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਖਾ (ਚੋਟੀ) ਫੁਆਰੇ (ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ)।
Her arms were like the two banks of the tank and hair like the scum spread on the tank
ਸੀਸਸੁਮੇਰਕੋਸ੍ਰਿੰਗਭਯੋਤਿਹਆਖਨਮੈਪਰਗੇਖਡੂਆਰੇ॥
ਸਿਰ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਵਾਂਗੂ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਖਡਿਆਂ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ।
Her head became like the top of the Sumeru mountain and there appeared great pits in place of her eyes
ਸਾਹਕੇਕੋਟਮੈਤੋਪਲਗੀਬਿਬਗੋਲਨਕੇਹ੍ਵੈਗਲੂਆਰੇ॥੮੯॥
(ਇਉਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਪ ਵਜੀ ਹੈ, (ਜਿਸ ਦੇ) ਗੋਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਖੱਪੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੮੯॥
Within the pits of her eyes, the eyeballs appeared like the canons fixed in the fort of king.89.

ਅਸਥਨਮੁਖਲੈਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਤਿਹਊਪਰਿਸੋਇਗਏ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਣ ਨੂੰ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ ਸੌਂ ਗਏ।
ਧਾਇਤਬੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਲੋਕਸਭਗੋਦਉਠਾਇਲਏ॥੯੦॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ) ਗੋਦ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਕ ਲਿਆ ॥੯੦॥
Krishna went to sleep with the teat of Putana in his mouth and the residents of Braja woke him up.90.
ਕਾਟਿਕਾਟਿਤਨਏਕਠੋਕੀਯੋਬਤਾਕੋਢੇਰ॥
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਕਟ ਕੇ (ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ) ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਢੇਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਦੇਈਧਨਚਹੁੰਓਰਤੇਬਾਰਤਲਗੀਨਬੇਰ॥੯੧॥
ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ (ਤਨ ਨੂੰ) ਸੜਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗੀ ॥੯੧॥
The people gathered the parts of the body of Putna and got burnt by putting fule on all the four sides.91.

ਜਬਹੀਨੰਦਆਇਹੈਗੋਕੁਲਮੈਲਈਬਾਸਸੁਬਾਸਮਹਾਬਿਸਮਾਨਿਓ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਨੰਦ ਗੋਕਲ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਪੂਤਨਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧਿਤ ਵਾਸਨਾ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਲਈ, ਤਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ।
When Nand came to Gokul and knowing all that had happened, he was extremely wonder-struck
ਲੋਕਸਬੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੋਬਿਰਤਾਤਕਹਿਓਸੁਨਿਕੈਮਨਮੈਡਰਪਾਨਿਓ॥
ਫਿਰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦਾ ਬ੍ਰਿੱਤਾਂਤ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ (ਉਹ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ।
When the people told him the saga of Putna, then he also was filled with fear in his mind
ਸਾਚਕਹੀਬਸੁਦੇਵਹਿਮੋਪਹਿਸੋਪਰਤਛਿਭਈਹਮਜਾਨਿਓ॥
(ਸੋਚਣ ਲਗਾ) ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਸੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ (ਗੱਲ) ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
He began to think about the waning given to him by Vasudev, which was true and he was seeing the same apparently
ਤਾਦਿਨਦਾਨਅਨੇਕਦੀਯੋਸਭਬਿਪ੍ਰਨਬੇਦਅਸੀਸਬਖਾਨਿਓ॥੯੨॥
ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੇਦ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਦ (ਦੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ॥੯੨॥
On that day Nand gave charity to Brahmins in various ways, who gave him many blessings.92.

ਬਾਲਰੂਪਹ੍ਵੈਉਤਰਿਓਦਯਾਸਿੰਧੁਕਰਤਾਰ॥
ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ, ਬਾਲਕ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਜਗ ਵਿਚ) ਉਤਰੇ ਹਨ।
ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮਉਧਾਰੀਪੂਤਨਾਭੂਮਿਉਤਾਰਿਯੋਭਾਰੁ॥੯੩॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੂਤਨਾ ਦਾ ਉੱਧਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਭਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ॥੯੩॥
The Lord, ocean of mercy has incarnated in the form of a child and in the first place he has liberated the earth from the bufden of Putna.93.
ਇਤਿਸ੍ਰੀਦਸਮਸਕੰਧਪੁਰਾਣੇਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਨਾਟਕਗ੍ਰੰਥੇਪੂਤਨਾਬਧਹਿਧਿਆਇਸਮਾਪਤਮਸਤਸੁਭਮਸਤੁ॥
ਇਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਸਕੰਧ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਦਾ ਪੂਤਨਾ ਬਧ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਸਭ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੈ।

ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ 'ਗਰਗ' (ਪ੍ਰੋਹਿਤ) ਨੂੰ ਨੇੜੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ (ਇਹ ਗੱਲ) ਆਖੀ,
ਗੋਕੁਲਨੰਦਹਿਕੇਭਵਨਿਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਕਰੋਤੁਮਜਾਇ॥੯੪॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੋਕਲ ਵਿਚ ਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਓ ॥੯੪॥
Then Vasudev requested the family-preceptor Garg to kindly go to Gokul in the house of Nand.94.
ਉਤੈਤਾਤਹਮਰੇਤਹਾਨਾਮਕਰਨਕਰਿਦੇਹੁ॥
ਉਥੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ (ਘਰ) ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ 'ਨਾਮਕਰਣ' ਕਰ ਦੇਵੋ,
ਹਮਤੁਮਬਿਨੁਨਹੀਜਾਨਹੀਅਉਰਸ੍ਰਉਨਸੁਨਲੇਹੁ॥੯੫॥
ਪਰ ਕੰਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸੁਣ ਲਵੋ (ਕਿ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ) ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ (ਕੋਈ) ਨਾ ਜਾਣੇ ॥੯੫॥
My son is there, kindly perform the naming ceremony and take care that no one else knows his secret except you and me.95.

(ਗਰਗ) ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੋਕੁਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ, (ਜੋ ਗੱਲ) ਮਹਾਨ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਕਹੀ, ਓਹੀ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਮੰਨ ਲਈ।
