ਨੰਦਕੇਧਾਮਗਯੋਤਬਹੀਬਹੁਆਦਰਤਾਹਿਕਰਿਯੋਨੰਦਰਾਨੀ॥
ਤਦ (ਉਹ) ਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਸੋਧਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਆਦਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
Accepting the saying of Vasudev, the Brahmin Garg quickly started for Gokul and reached the house of Nand, where he was warmly received by the wife of Nand.
ਨਾਮੁਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਕਹਿਓਇਹਕੋਕਰਿਮਾਨਲਈਇਹਬਾਤਬਖਾਨੀ॥
(ਗਰਗ ਨੇ) ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ (ਕਿ) ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ 'ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ' ਰਖੋ। (ਨੰਦ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਆਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਸੱਤ) ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਨ ਲਈ।
The Brahmin gave the name Krishna to the boy, which was accepted by all, then he, studying the date and time of the birth of the boy, pointed out the coming mysterious events in the life of the boy.96.
ਲਾਇਲਗੰਨਨਛਤ੍ਰਨਸੋਧਿਕਹੀਸਮਝਾਇਅਕਥਕਹਾਨੀ॥੯੬॥
ਲਗਨ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਛੱਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਧ ਕੇ (ਗਰਗ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ) ਨਾ ਕਥਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੯੬॥

ਗਰਗ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ 'ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ' ਰਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਸਿਆਮਪਲੋਟੈਪਾਇਜਿਹਇਹਸਮਮਨੋਮੁਰਾਰਿ॥੯੭॥
ਸਿਆਮ (ਕਵੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਫਿਰ (ਗਰਗ ਬਾਲਕ ਦੇ) ਚਰਨ ਪਰਸਦਾ ('ਪਲੋਟੈ') ਹੈ (ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸਮਾਨ ਸਮਝੋ ॥੯੭॥
Garg thought out in his mind and gave the name of Krishna to the boy and when the boy raised his feet, it seemed to the Pundit that he was similar to that of Vishnu.97.
ਸੁਕਲਬਰਨਸਤਿਜੁਗਿਭਏਪੀਤਬਰਨਤ੍ਰੇਤਾਇ॥
ਸਤਿਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਲਾ (ਹੰਸਾਵਤਾਰ) ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਤ੍ਰੇਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੀਲੇ ਰੰਗ (ਦੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਰਾਮ ਹੋਇਆ)।
ਪੀਤਬਰਨਪਟਸਿਆਮਤਨਨਰਨਾਹਨਿਕੇਨਾਹਿ॥੯੮॥
(ਹੁਣ ਉਹੀ) ਪੀਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਕਪੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਂਵਲੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਾਲਾ, ਮਹਾਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਅਵਤਾਰ) ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੯੮॥
The black colour is the symbol of Satyuga and the yellow of Treta, but wearing the yellow clothes and having the body of dark colour, both of these are not the characteristics of ordinary men.98.

ਜਦ ਨੰਦ ਨੇ ਗਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ (ਉਹ) ਉਠ ਕੇ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
When Nand presented the alms of corn to Garg, he, taking all, came to the banks of Yamuna in order to cook food
ਨ੍ਰਹਾਇਕਟੈਕਰਿਕੈਧੁਤੀਆਹਰਿਕੋਅਰੁਦੇਵਨਭੋਗਲਗਾਯੋ॥
ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਲਕ ਵਿਚ ਧੋਤੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਗ ਲਗਾਇਆ।
After taking bath, he offered food to gods and the Lord while he was remembering the Lord, Krishna
ਆਇਗਏਨੰਦਲਾਲਤਬੈਕਰਸੋਗਹਿਕੈਅਪੁਨੇਮੁਖਪਾਯੋ॥
ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਆ ਗਏ। ਅਤੇ (ਗਰਗ ਦਾ ਅੰਨ) ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਕ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ।
The son of Nand reached there and taking the food from the hand of Garg, he ate it
ਚਕ੍ਰਤਹ੍ਵੈਗਯੋਪੇਖਿਤਬੈਤਿਹਅੰਨ੍ਰਯਸਭੈਇਨਭੀਟਿਗਵਾਯੋ॥੯੯॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗਰਗ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ (ਸੋਚਣ ਲਗਾ) ਇਸ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਅੰਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੯੯॥
The Brahmin, in wonder, began to see this and think that this boy with his touch had soiled his food.99.
ਫੇਰਿਬਿਚਾਰਕਰਿਯੋਮਨਮੈਇਹਤੇਨਹਿਬਾਲਕਪੈਹਰਿਜੀਹੈ॥
(ਗਰਗ ਨੇ) ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ, (ਕਿ) ਇਹ (ਤਾਂ) ਬਾਲਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਆਪ ਹਨ।
ਮਾਨਸਪੰਚਭੂਆਤਮਕੋਮਿਲਿਕੈਤਿਨਸੋਕਰਤਾਸਰਜੀਹੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਜ ਤੱਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਬਣੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ।
Then the Pundit though in his mind, how can he be a boy?, this is some illusion. The creator has created this world with the unison of the mind, five elements and the soul
ਯਾਦਕਰੀਮਮਤਾਇਹਕਾਰਨਮਧਕੋਦੂਰਕਰੈਕਰਜੀਹੈ॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ-ਪਨ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਥ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
I had been merely remembering Nand Lal and this will be my illusion
ਮੂੰਦਲਈਤਿਹਕੀਮਤਿਯੌਪਟਸੌਤਨਢਾਪਤਜਿਉਦਰਜੀਹੈ॥੧੦੦॥
(ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਤ ਨੂੰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਢਕ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦਰਜੀ ਕਪੜੇ ਨਾਲ ਤਨ ਨੂੰ ਢਕ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੦੦॥
That Brahmin could not recognize and his intellect closed down just as the tailor covers the body with a cloth.100.
ਨੰਦਕੁਮਾਰਤ੍ਰਿਬਾਰਭਯੋਜਬਤੋਮਨਿਬਾਮਨਕ੍ਰੋਧਕਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ ਭੋਜਨ (ਜੂਠਾ) ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤਦ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
When the same thing happened thrice, the Brahmin’s mind was filled with rage
ਮਾਤਖਿਝੀਜਸੁਦਾਹਰਿਕੋਗਹਿਕੈਉਰਆਪਨੇਲਾਇਧਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਤਾਂ ਖਿਝੀ ਹੋਈ ਜਸੋਧਾ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਾ ਲਿਆ।
The mother Yashoda cried at such saying and she hugged Krishna to her bosom
ਬੋਲਉਠੇਭਗਵਾਨਤਬੈਇਹਦੋਸਨਹੈਮੁਹਿਯਾਦਕਰਿਓਹੈ॥
ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ) ਬੋਲ ਪਏ, ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੇ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਆਓ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਭੋਗ ਲਗਾਓ)।
Then Krishna said that he was not to be blamed for this, this Brahmin is only to be blamed.
ਪੰਡਿਤਜਾਨਲਈਮਨਮੈਉਠਕੈਤਿਹਕੇਤਬਪਾਇਪਰਿਓਹੈ॥੧੦੧॥
ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ (ਜੋ ਸਚ-ਮੁਚ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹੈ) ਤਦ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੦੧॥
He remembered me thrice for eating food and I have gone there hearing this, the Brahmin realised in his mind and getting up, he touched the feet of Krishna.101.

ਨੰਦ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਜੋ) ਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ) ਕਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਵਾਂ?
The charity given by Nand to the Brahmin cannot be described
ਗਰਗਆਪਨੇਘਰਿਚਲਿਯੋਮਹਾਪ੍ਰਮੁਦਮਨਿਪਾਇ॥੧੦੨॥
ਗਰਗ (ਦਾਨ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ॥੧੦੨॥
With happy mind, Garg went to his home.102.

ਮਾਤਲਡਾਵਤਹੈਤਿਹਕੌਔਝੁਲਾਵਤਹੈਕਰਿਮੋਹਿਤਕੈਸੇ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਸੋਧਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਲਡਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਝੁਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ; (ਉਹ) ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ?
Krishna is swinging in the cradle in the form of a boy and his mother is oscillating him with affection

ਜਦੋਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਖ ਲਗੀ ਤਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਸੋਧਾ ਦਾ ਥਣ (ਚੁੰਘਣਾ) ਚਾਹਿਆ;
When Krishna became hungry, he wanted to drink his mother Yashoda’s milk
ਮਾਤਉਠੀਨਭਯੋਮਨਕ੍ਰੁਧਤਬੈਪਗਸੋਮਹਿਗੋਡਕੈਬਾਹਿਯੋ॥
ਪਰ ਮਾਤਾ ਨਾ ਉਠੀ। ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਆ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦ ਪੈਰ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਘੁਟ ਕੇ ਦਬਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
He moved his foot with force, the mother got up without getting angry
ਤੇਲਧਰਿਓਅਰੁਘੀਉਭਰਿਓਛੁਟਿਭੂਮਿਪਰਿਯੋਜਸੁਸ੍ਯਾਮਸਰਾਹਿਯੋ॥
(ਧਰਤੀ ਹਿੱਲ ਗਈ) ਜੋ ਤੇਲ (ਘਰ ਵਿਚ) ਧਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਘਿਉ (ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ) ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਵਗ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ (ਕਵੀ) ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ,
This vessels full of oil and ghee fell down from her hands on the earth
ਹੋਤਕੁਲਾਹਲਮਧਪੁਰੀਧਰਨੀਕੋਮਨੋਸਭਸੋਕਸੁਲਾਹਿਯੋ॥੧੦੪॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਪੁਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਲਾਹਲ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ, (ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਧਰਤੀ ਨੇ (ਘਿਉ ਡੋਹਲ ਕੇ) ਸਾਰਾ ਸ਼ੋਕ ਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੦੪॥
The poet Shyam visualized this scene in his imagination on the other hand, hearing about the killing of Putna, there was great tumult in Braja country and the suffering of the earth ended.104.
ਧਾਇਗਏਬ੍ਰਿਜਲੋਕਸਬੈਹਰਿਜੀਤਿਨਅਪਨੇਕੰਠਲਗਾਏ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਭਜਦੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
All the people of Braja came running and everyone of them hugged Krishna
ਅਉਰਸਭੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਲੋਕਬਧੂਮਿਲਿਭਾਤਨਭਾਤਨਮੰਗਲਗਾਏ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਭਾਂਤ ਭਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਮੰਗਲ ਗਾਣ ਲਗੀਆਂ।
The women of Braja country began to sing songs of joy of various types
ਭੂਮਿਹਲੀਨਭਯੋਇਹਕਉਤਕਬਾਰਨਭੇਦਯੌਭਾਖਿਸੁਨਾਏ॥
ਧਰਤੀ ਕੰਬ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ (ਭਾਰੀ) ਕੌਤਕ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਲਿਕਾਵਾਂ ('ਬਾਰਨ') ਨੇ ਕਹਿ (ਕੇ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ)।
ਚਕ੍ਰਤਬਾਤਭਏਸੁਨਿਕੈਅਪਨੇਮਨਮੈਤਿਨਸਾਚਨਲਾਏ॥੧੦੫॥
ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸੱਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ॥੧੦੫॥
The earth shook and the children began to relate various stories about the killing of Putana, hearing which all marveled in their minds and hesitated to accept this true episode.105.

(ਅਨੇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੰਗਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
Inviting all the people of Braja, Nand and Yashod gave good deal of alms by touching them with the head and other limbs of Krishna

ਇਹਸਾਜਬਨਾਇਦਯੋਤਿਨਕੋਅਰੁਅਉਰਦਯੋਦੁਖਭੰਗਨਕੋ॥੧੦੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ (ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਨ) (ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੦੬॥
In this way many gifts of charity were presented in order to remove the sufferings of all.106.

ਜਦੋਂ (ਕੰਸ ਨੇ) ਗੋਕਲ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਤਨਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੀ
ਤ੍ਰਿਣਾਵਰਤਸੋਕਹਿਯੋਜਾਹੁਤਾਕੋਤਿਖੈ॥
(ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਤ੍ਰਿਣਾਵਰਤ (ਦੈਂਤ ਨੂੰ) ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੋਕੁਲ ਜਾ
ਨੰਦਬਾਲਕੋਮਾਰੋਐਸੇਪਟਕਿਕੈ॥
