ਗੋਬਛਰੇਅਰੁਗੋਪਸਭੈਗਿਰਗੇਸਭਪ੍ਰਾਨਡਸੇਜਬਕਾਰੀ॥
(ਉਸ ਤਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਕਾਲੀ ਨਾਗ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਡੰਗਿਆ (ਤਾਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਛੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ।
There the Kali serpent stung all the cows, calves and the gopa boys and they all fell down dead
ਧਾਇਕਹਿਯੋਮੁਸਲੀਪ੍ਰਭਪੈਸਭਸੈਨਸਖਾਤੁਮਰੀਹਰਿਮਾਰੀ॥੨੦੪॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਸੈਨਾ ਸੱਪ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੨੦੪॥
Seeing this Balram said to Krishna, “Run away, all your army of the boys has been killed by the snake.”204.

(ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ
ਗਊਸਭੈਅਰੁਸੁਤਤਿਨੈਅਉਫੁਨਿਸਭੈਗੁਪਾਲ॥੨੦੫॥
(ਤਾਂ ਉਹ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗਊਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕ ਤੁਰਤ ਜੀ ਪਏ ॥੨੦੫॥
Krishna looked towards all with his graceful glance and all the cows and gopa boys came back to life instantly.205.
ਉਠਿਪਾਇਨਲਾਗੇਤਬੈਕਰਹਿੰਬਡਾਈਸੋਇ॥
ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਠ ਕੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਚਰਨੀ ਲਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ
ਜੀਅਦਾਨਹਮਕੋਦਯੋਇਹਤੇਬਡੋਨਕੋਇ॥੨੦੬॥
ਕਿ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਸਾਨੂੰ (ਅਜ) ਜੀਵਨ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੨੦੬॥
All got up and toughed his feet, saying, “O Giver of life to us! none is greater than you.”206

ਗੋਪ (ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ
ਦੁਸਟਨਾਗਸਰਮੈਬਸੇਤਾਕੋਲੇਉਨਿਕਾਰ॥੨੦੭॥
ਕਿ ਜੋ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨਾਗ (ਇਸ) ਤਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਢ ਲਵਾਂ ॥੨੦੭॥
Krishna held consultations with the gopa boys that the tyrant Naga (Kali) lives in that tank and it should be ejected.”207.

ਊਚਕਦੰਮਹਿਕੋਤਰੁਥੋਤਿਹਪੈਚੜਿਕੈਹਰਿਕੂਦਪਰਿਓ॥
ਉਥੇ ਕਦੰਬ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਉੱਚਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਸੀ। ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਤਲਾ ਵਿਚ) ਕੁਦ ਪਿਆ।
Ascending the Kadamb-tree, Krishna jumped in the tank from its height
ਤਿਨਸੰਕਕਰੀਮਨਮੈਨਕਛੂਫੁਨਿਧੀਰਜਗਾਢਧਰਿਯੋਨਟਰਿਓ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੰਕਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਬੜਾ ਭਾਰਾ ਧੀਰਜ ਰਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਨਾ ਹਟਿਆ।
He did not fear even a little and moved patiently
ਮਨੁਖੋਸਤਲੌਜਲਉਚਭਯੋਨਿਕਸਿਯੋਤਬਨਾਗਬਡੋਨਡਰਿਯੋ॥
ਸੱਤ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਜਲ (ਉਸ ਤਲਾ ਤੋਂ) ਉਛਲਿਆ, ਤਦ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਾਗ ਵੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾ ਡਰਿਆ।
The water arose to sevenfold height of man and from that, the Naga appeared but Krishna even then was not frightened at all
ਪਟਪੀਤਧਰੇਤਨਪੈਨਰਦੇਖਿਮਹਾਬਲਿਕੈਤਿਨਜੁਧਕਰਿਯੋ॥੨੦੮॥
ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਪੀਲੇ ਕਪੜੇ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਬਲੀ (ਕਾਲੀ ਨਾਗ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੨੦੮॥
When the Naga saw a man riding upon him, he began to fight.208.
ਬਾਧਲਯੋਹਰਿਕੋਤਨਸੋਕਰਕ੍ਰੁਧਕਿਧੋਤਿਹਕੋਤਨਕਾਟੇ॥
(ਕਾਲੀ ਨਾਗ ਨੇ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ (ਵੱਲ ਪਾ ਕੇ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਟਣ ਲਗਾ।
He intertwined Krishna, who in great furyu, chopped its body
ਢੀਲੋਰਹਿਯੋਹੁਇਪੈਹਰਿਜੀਪਿਖਿਯਾਰਨਕੇਹੀਯਰੇਫੁਨਿਫਾਟੇ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਢਿੱਲੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਫਟਣ ਲਗੇ।
The grasp of the snake on Krishna loosened, but the viewers held great fear in their hearts
ਰੋਵਤਆਵਤਹੈਪਤਨੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਠੋਕਤਮੂੰਡਉਖਾਰਤਝਾਟੇ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਰੋਂਦੀਆਂ (ਹੋਈਆਂ ਉਸ ਤਲਾ ਉਤੇ ਚਲੀਆਂ) ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਟਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਝਾਟੇ ਪੁਟਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
The ladies of the Braja village started moving towards that side pulling their hair and carding their heads,
ਆਇਹੈਮਾਰਉਸੈਨਹੀਰੋਵਹੁਨੰਦਇਹੈਕਹਿਕੈਇਨਡਾਟੇ॥੨੦੯॥
ਨੰਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਡਾਂਟਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਨਾ ਰੋਵੋ, ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਆ ਜਾਏਗਾ ॥੨੦੯॥
But Nand reprimanded them saying, “Do not weep, O people! Krishna will return only on killing him.”209.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਿਲਪੇਟਬਡੋਵਹਪੰਨਗਫੂਕਤਹੈਕਰਿਕ੍ਰੁਧਹਿਕੈਸੇ॥
ਉਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੱਪ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਲਪੇਟ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੂੰਕਾਰੇ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ
Intertwining Krishna, that huge snake began to hiss in great rage
ਜਿਉਧਨਪਾਤ੍ਰਗਏਧਨਤੇਅਤਿਝੂਰਤਲੇਤਉਸਾਸਨਤੈਸੇ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ (ਕੋਈ) ਧਨਵਾਨ, ਧਨ ਦੇ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਝੂਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਠੰਡੇ ਹੌਕੇ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The serpent was hissing like a moneylender sighing on the loss of his cash-box
ਬੋਲਤਜਿਉਧਮੀਆਹਰਿਮੈਸੁਰਕੈਮਧਿਸਵਾਸਭਰੇਵਹਐਸੇ॥
(ਜਾਂ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਧੌਕਣੀ ('ਧਮੀਆ') ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸੱਪ ਦੇ ਫੁੰਕਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਭੂਭਰਬੀਚਪਰੇਜਲਜਿਉਤਿਹਤੇਫੁਨਿਹੋਤਮਹਾਧੁਨਿਜੈਸੇ॥੨੧੦॥
ਜਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਭੁੱਬਲ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ (ਸੂੰ ਸੂੰ ਦੀ) ਭਾਰੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨੧੦॥
That snake was breathing like a resounding drum or his voice was like that of a great whirlpool in water.210.
ਚਕ੍ਰਤਹੋਇਰਹੇਬ੍ਰਿਜਬਾਲਕਮਾਰਲਏਹਰਿਜੀਇਹਨਾਗੈ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਬਾਲਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਕਹਿ) ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, (ਕਿ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਇਸ ਨਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਲੈਣਗੇ।
ਦਛਨਤੀਅਭੁਜਾਗਹਿਕੈਇਹਮਤਿਲਗੈਦੁਖਅਉਸੁਖਭਾਗੈ॥
ਸੂਝਵਾਨ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ (ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ) ਬਾਂਹ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਇਸ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁਖ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ (ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ) ਸੁਖ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
The boys of Braja were seeing all this in wonder and catching the arms of one another, they were thinking that Krishna should kill the snake in any way
ਖੋਜਤਖੋਜਤਸਭੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੇਜਨਕਉਤਕਦੇਖਿਲਯੋਇਹਆਗੈ॥
(ਉਧਰੋਂ) ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਲਭਦੇ ਲਭਦੇ (ਉਥੇ ਆ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ) ਅਗੇ (ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਇਹ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਹਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਬਡੋਅਹਿਕਾਟਤਜਿਉਰੁਚਕੈਨਰਖਾਵਤਸਾਗੈ॥੨੧੧॥
(ਕਿ) ਕਾਲੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਾਲਾ ਸੱਪ (ਇੰਜ) ਕਟ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਸਾਗ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੧੧॥
All the men and women of Braja were seeing this wonderful spectacle and on this side black snake was biting Krishna like a person eating his food with relish.211.
ਰੋਵਨਲਾਗਜਬੈਜਸੁਦਾਚੁਪਤਾਹਿਕਰਾਵਤਪੈਜੁਅਲੀਹੈ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਜਸੋਧਾ ਰੋਣ ਲਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਚੁਪ ਕਰਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। (ਕਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ) ਇਹ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਬੜਾ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੈ
ਦੈਤਤ੍ਰਿਨਾਵ੍ਰਤਅਉਰਬਕੀਵਬਕਾਸੁਰਹਨੇਇਹਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਲੀਹੈ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੇ) 'ਤ੍ਰਿਣਾਵ੍ਰਤ' ਅਤੇ ਬਕੀ ਤੇ ਬਕਾਸੁਰ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
When Yashoda also began to weep, her friends consoled her saying, “Don’t be anxious at all, Krishna has killed demons like Tranavrata, Baki and Bakasura etc. Krishna is extremely powerful
ਆਇਹੈਮਾਰਅਬੈਇਹਸਾਪਹਿਬੋਲਿਉਠਿਓਇਹਭਾਤਹਲੀਹੈ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ (ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹੀ) ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤੋਰਡਰੈਸਭਹੀਇਹਕੇਫਨਿਪੈਕਰੁਨਾਨਿਧਿਜੋਰਛਲੀਹੈ॥੨੧੨॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਜ਼ੋਰ ਤੇ ਛਲ (ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਹਨ) ਇਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਸੁਟਣਗੇ ॥੨੧੨॥
“He will come back after killing the snake,” on the other side, Krishna destroyed all the hoods of that snake with his power.212.

(ਜਦੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖੀ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਤਦੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਛੁੜਵਾ ਲਿਆ।
Seeing all his people in great distress, standing on the bank,
ਬਕਤ੍ਰਬਿਲੋਕਬਡੋਵਹਪੰਨਗਪੈਮਨਭੀਤਰਕ੍ਰੁਧਭਯੋਹੈ॥
ਉਸ ਸੱਪ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
Krishna got his body released from the entanglement of the snake, seeing this that dreadful snake got furious
ਸਉਫਨਕੋਸੁਫੁਲਾਇਉਚਾਇਕੈਸਾਮੁਹਿਤਾਹਿਕੇਧਾਇਗਯੋਹੈ॥
(ਉਹ ਸੱਪ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ) ਸੌ ਫਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਧੁਸ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਗਿਆ।
He again spread his hood, came running inn front of Krishna
ਕੂਦਕੈਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਚਾਇਕੈਦਾਵਹਿਉਪਰਿਮਾਥਜੁਠਾਢੋਭਯੋਹੈ॥੨੧੩॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾਉ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਲਾਕੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਖੜੋ ਗਏ ॥੨੧੩॥
Krishna, saving himself from the ambush, jumped and stood with his feet on the forehead of the serpent.213.
ਕੂਦਤਹੈਚੜਿਸਿਰਊਪਰਿਸ੍ਰਉਨਸੰਬੂਹਚਲੈਸਿਰਤਾਤੇ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਕੁੱਦਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲਹੂ ਵਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Ascending on the head of that snake, Krishna began to jump and the currents of the hot blood began to flow from the head (of the serpent)
ਪ੍ਰਾਨਲਗੇਛੁਟਨੇਜਬਹੀਛਿਨਮੈਨਗਈਉਡਕੈਮੁਖਰਾਤੇ॥
ਜਦ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਛੁਟਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਛਿਣ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਚੇਹਰੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ('ਮੈਨ') ਉਡ ਗਈ।
When that serpent was about to breathe his last, all the luster of his being ended
ਤਉਹਰਿਜੀਬਲਿਕੈਤਨਕੋਸਰਤੀਰਨਿਕਾਸਲਯੋਬਹੁਭਾਤੇ॥
ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਉਤੇ ਕਢ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ।
Then Krishna dragged the serpent to the bank of the river with his power
ਜਾਤਬਡੋਸਰਤੀਰਬਹਿਯੋਰਸਰੇਬੰਧਖੈਚਤਹੈਚਹੂੰਘਾਤੇ॥੨੧੪॥
ਸਰੋਵਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਉਤੇ (ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ) ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਵਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਰੱਸੇ ਬੰਨ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਚ ਲਿਆ ॥੨੧੪॥

ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਸਹਿਤ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਿੜ-ਗਿੜਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ,
ਰਛਕਰੋਇਹਕੀਹਰਿਜੀਤੁਮਪੈਬਰੁਦਾਨਇਹੈਹਮਪਾਵੈ॥
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ ਜੀ! ਇਸ ਦੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ। ਇਹੋ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਾਂ।

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਦੇਤਵਹੈਹਮਲਿਆਵਤਬਿਖਦਈਵਹਹੀਹਮਲਿਆਵੈ॥
ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ (ਤਾਂ) ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹੀ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ; ਪਰ (ਤੁਸਾਂ) ਬਿਖ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਲਿਆਈਆਂ ਹਾਂ।
“O Lord! if you give ambrosia to us, we adopt the same and if you give the poison, that also is adopted by us
ਦੋਸਨਹੀਹਮਰੇਪਤਿਕੋਕਛੁਬਾਤਕਹੈਅਰੁਸੀਸਝੁਕਾਵੈ॥੨੧੫॥
(ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਸਾਡੇ ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। (ਇਹ) ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਝੁਕਾ ਕੇ (ਖੜੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ) ॥੨੧੫॥
