ਗਾਵਤਗੀਤਬਿਲਾਵਲਮੈਜੁਰਿਬਾਹਨਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਥਾਇਹਸਾਜੈ॥
ਉਹ ਬਿਲਾਵਲ (ਰਾਗ) ਵਿਚ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Catching the arms of one another, they sing the songs in Bilawal Raga and relate the story of Krishna
ਅੰਗਿਅਨੰਗਬਢਿਓਤਿਨਕੇਪਿਖਕੈਜਿਹਲਾਜਕੋਭਾਜਨਭਾਜੈ॥੨੪੦॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਵ-ਭਾਵ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਲੱਜਾ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵੀ ਭਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੪੦॥
The god of love is increasing its hold on their limbs and seeing all of them even modesty is feeling shy.240.
ਗਾਵਤਗੀਤਬਿਲਾਵਲਮੈਸਭਹੀਮਿਲਿਗੋਪਿਨਉਜਲਕਾਰੀ॥
ਗੋਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਬਿਲਾਵਲ (ਰਾਗ ਵਿਚ) ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਕਾਨਰਕੋਭਰਤਾਕਰਬੇਕਹੁਬਾਛਤਹੈਪਤਲੀਅਰੁਭਾਰੀ॥
ਪਤਲੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਮੋਟੀਆਂ (ਸਾਰੀਆਂ) ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਤਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
All the black and white gopis are singing songs and all the slim and heavy gopis are wishing for Krishna as their husband
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਰੈਤਿਨਕੇਮੁਖਕੌਪਿਖਿਜੋਤਿਕਲਾਸਸਿਕੀਫੁਨਿਹਾਰੀ॥
ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਵੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਹਾਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਨ੍ਰਹਾਵਤਹੈਜਮੁਨਾਜਲਮੈਜਨੁਫੂਲਰਹੀਗ੍ਰਿਹਮੈਫੁਲਵਾਰੀ॥੨੪੧॥
ਜਮੁਨਾ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ (ਇੰਜ) ਨਹਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਮਾਨੋ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਫੁਲਵਾੜੀ ਖਿੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੪੧॥
Seeing their faces, the supernatural powers of the moon seem to have lost their brightness and taking their bath in Yamuna, they appear like a splendid garden in the house.241.
ਨ੍ਰਹਾਵਤਹੈਗੁਪੀਆਜਲਮੈਤਿਨਕੇਮਨਮੈਫੁਨਿਹਉਲਨਕੋ॥
(ਜਮੁਨਾ ਦੇ) ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਹਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਖੌਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
All the gopis are bathing fearlessly
ਗੁਨਗਾਵਤਤਾਲਬਜਾਵਤਹੈਤਿਹਜਾਇਕਿਧੌਇਕਠਉਲਨਕੋ॥
(ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਤਾੜੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
They are singing songs of Krishna and playing the tunes and they are all gathered in a group
ਮੁਖਿਤੇਉਚਰੈਇਹਭਾਤਿਸਭੈਇਤਨੋਸੁਖਨਹਰਿਧਉਲਨਕੋ॥
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਚਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (ਕਿ) ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇ (ਮਹੱਲਾਂ) ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਇੰਨਾ ਸੁਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
They are all saying that such comfort is even not in the palaces of Indra
ਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਬਿਰਾਜਤਹੈਅਤਿਸਹੀਇਕਬਨਿਓਸਰਸੁੰਦਰਕਉਲਨਕੋ॥੨੪੨॥
ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਵੀ (ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜਮਨਾ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਬਿਰਾਜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, (ਇਉਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਇਹ ਕੌਲ ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੨੪੨॥
The poet says that they all look splendid like a tank full of lotus flowers.242.

ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਥਪਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਦੇਵੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਾਇਪਰੈਤਿਹਕੇਹਿਤਸੋਕਰਿਕੋਟਿਪ੍ਰਨਾਮੁਕਹੈਇਹਬਾਨੀ॥
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
Taking clay in their hands and installing the image of the goddess and bowing their heads at her feet, all of them are saying,
ਪੂਜਤਹੈਇਹਤੇਹਮਤੋਤੁਮਦੇਹੁਵਹੈਜੀਅਮੈਹਮਠਾਨੀ॥
(ਹੇ ਦੁਰਗਾ!) ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪੂਜਦੀਆਂ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਸਾਂ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਓਹੀ ਵਰ ਦਿਓ।
ਹ੍ਵੈਹਮਰੋਭਰਤਾਹਰਿਜੀਮੁਖਿਸੁੰਦਰਿਹੈਜਿਹਕੋਸਸਿਸਾਨੀ॥੨੪੩॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਤੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੩॥
“O goddess! we worship you for bestowing the boon according t our heart’s desire, so that our husband be of the moonlike face of Krishna.243.
ਭਾਲਿਲਗਾਵਤਕੇਸਰਅਛਤਚੰਦਨਲਾਵਤਹੈਸਿਤਕੈ॥
(ਦੁਰਗਾ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਦੇ) ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਕੇਸਰ ਤੇ ਚਾਵਲ ਲਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ੈਦ ਚੰਦਨ (ਰਗੜ ਕੇ) ਲਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਫੁਨਿਡਾਰਤਫੂਲਉਡਾਵਤਹੈਮਖੀਆਤਿਹਕੀਅਤਿਹੀਹਿਤਕੈ॥
ਫਿਰ (ਉਸ ਉਤੇ) ਫੁਲ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਮੱਖੀਆਂ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
They apply saffron, akshat and sandal on the forehead of the god of love, then showering flowers, they fan him affectionately
ਪਟਧੂਪਪਚਾਮ੍ਰਿਤਦਛਨਾਪਾਨਪ੍ਰਦਛਨਾਦੇਤਮਹਾਚਿਤਕੈ॥
ਕਪੜੇ, ਧੂਪ, ਕੜਾਹੀ, ਦੱਛਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਨ (ਆਦਿ ਭੇਟਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ) ਚਿਤ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਚਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੱਖਣਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਬਰਬੇਕਹੁਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਉਪਾਉਕਰੈਮਿਤਹੋਸੋਊਤਾਤਕਿਧੌਕਿਤਕੈ॥੨੪੪॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਥਵਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਾਉ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੨੪੪॥
They are offering garments, incense, Panchamrit, religious gifts and circumambulation and they, making effort to wed Krishna, say that there may be some friend, who may fulfill the wish of our mind.244.

(ਹੇ ਦੇਵੀ!) ਤੂੰ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਪਤਿਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਸੰਕਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਰ ਹੈਂ।
ਬੇਦਨਉਧਾਰਨੀਸੁਰੇਾਂਦ੍ਰਰਾਜਕਾਰਨੀਪੈਗਉਰਜਾਕੀਜਾਗੈਜੋਤਿਅਉਰਜਾਨਕਤਹੈ॥
ਵੇਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਉੱਧਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈਂ, ਇੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈਂ, ਦੁਰਗਾ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਲਟ ਲਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਜਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
“O goddess! Thou art the power, who destroys the demons, ferries across the sinners from this world and removes the sufferings, thou are the redeemer of the Vedas, Giver of the kingdom to Indra the shining light of Gauri
ਧੂਅਮੈਨਧਰਾਮੈਨਧਿਆਨਧਾਰੀਮੈਪੈਕਛੂਜੈਸੇਤੇਰੇਜੋਤਿਬੀਚਆਨਨਛਕਤਿਹੈ॥
(ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਦਾ ਉਜਾਲਾ) ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ, ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ (ਵਿਚ) ਕੁਝ (ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ ਸੋਭ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
“There is no other light like Thee on the earth and in the sky
ਦਿਨਸਦਿਨੇਸਮੈਦਿਵਾਨਮੈਸੁਰੇਸਮੈਸੁਪਤਮਹੇਸਜੋਤਿਤੇਰੀਐਜਗਤਿਹੈ॥੨੪੫॥
(ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਦਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੂਰਜ ਦਾ, ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੰਦਰ ਦਾ, ਭੈਰਵਾਂ ('ਸੁਪਤ') ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮਹਾਦੇਵ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਤੇਰੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਗਮਗ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੫॥
Thou art in the sun, moon, stars, Indra and Shiva etc. glowing as light in all.”245.
ਬਿਨਤੀਕਰਤਸਭਗੋਪੀਕਰਿਜੋਰਿਜੋਰਿਸੁਨਿਲੇਹੁਬਿਨਤੀਹਮਾਰੀਇਹਚੰਡਿਕਾ॥
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਬੇਨਤੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ (ਹੋਈਆਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ) ਹੇ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ! ਸਾਡੀ ਇਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣ ਲਵੋ।
ਸੁਰਤੈਉਬਾਰੇਕੋਟਿਪਤਿਤਉਧਾਰੇਚੰਡਮੁੰਡਮੁੰਡਡਾਰੇਸੁੰਭਨਿਸੁੰਭਕੀਖੰਡਿਕਾ॥
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ, ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ, ਚੰਡ ਤੇ ਮੁੰਡ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਲਾਹ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਖੰਡ ਖੰਡ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
All the gopis are praying with folded hands, “O Chandi! Listen to our prayer, because you have redeemed also the gods, ferried across millions of sinners and destroyed Chand, Mund, Sumbh and Nisumbh
ਦੀਜੈਮਾਗਿਯੋਦਾਨਹ੍ਵੈਪ੍ਰਤਛਕਹੈਮੇਰੀਮਾਈਪੂਜੇਹਮਤੁਮੈਨਾਹੀਪੁਜੈਸੁਤਗੰਡਕਾ॥
(ਫਿਰ ਕਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ) ਹੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਮਾਤਾ! ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਮੂੰਹ) ਮੰਗਿਆ ਦਾਨ ਦਿਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਾਂਗੀਆਂ, ਠਾਕੁਰ (ਸਾਲਗ੍ਰਾਮ) ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੀਆਂ।
“O mother! Bestow on us the boon asked for
ਹ੍ਵੈਕਰਿਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ੍ਯਤਾਕੋਕਹਿਓਸੀਘ੍ਰਮਾਨਦੀਨੋਵਹੈਬਰਦਾਨਫੁਨਿਰਾਨਿਨਕੀਮੰਡਿਕਾ॥੨੪੬॥
(ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ) ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਡਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਵਰ ਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੬॥
We are worshipping you and Shaligram, the son of Gandak river, because you had been pleased to accept his saying therefore bestow on us the boon.”246.
ਦੇਵੀਜੀਬਾਚਗੋਪਿਨਸੋ॥
ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਦੁਰਗਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਇਹ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
“Your husband will be Krishna.” Saying thus, Durga bestowed boon on them
ਸੋਧੁਨਿਸ੍ਰਉਨਨਮੈਸੁਨਕੈਤਿਨਕੋਟਿਪ੍ਰਨਾਮਤਬੈਉਠਿਕੀਨਾ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਠ ਕੇ (ਦੁਰਗਾ ਨੂੰ) ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਾਰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
Hearing these words, all of them got up and bowed before the goddess millions of times
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਜਸੁਉਚਮਹਾਕਬਿਨੇਅਪਨੇਮਨਮੈਫੁਨਿਚੀਨਾ॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਯਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ।
ਹੈਇਨਕੋਮਨੁਕਾਨਰਮੈਅਉਜੋਪੈਰਸਕਾਨਰਕੇਸੰਗਿਭੀਨਾ॥੨੪੭॥
(ਕਿ) ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਰਮ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਭਿਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੭॥
The poet has considered in his mind this spectacle in this way that they all have been dyed in the love of Krishna and absorbed in him.247.
ਪਾਇਪਰੀਤਿਹਕੇਤਬਹੀਸਭਭਾਤਿਕਰੀਬਹੁਤਾਹਿਬਡਾਈ॥
(ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ) ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਪੈ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ (ਦੁਰਗਾ) ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ
All the gopis falling at the feet of the goddess began to eulogise her in various ways
ਹੈਜਗਕੀਕਰਤਾਹਰਤਾਦੁਖਹੈਸਭਤੂਗਨਗੰਧ੍ਰਬਮਾਈ॥
ਕਿ ਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ! ਤੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਗਣ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ (ਰੂਪ ਹਨ)।
“O the mother of the world! You are the remover of the suffering of all the world, you are the mother of ganas and gandharvas,”
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੀਅਤਿਹੀਉਪਮਾਕਬਿਨੇਮੁਖਤੇਇਮਭਾਖਿਸੁਨਾਈ॥
ਉਸ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ
ਲਾਲਭਈਤਬਹੀਗੁਪੀਆਫੁਨਿਬਾਤਜਬੈਮਨਬਾਛਤਪਾਈ॥੨੪੮॥
ਕਿ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ (ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ) ਲਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਜਦ ਕਿ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮਨ ਇਛਿਤ ਗੱਲ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੨੪੮॥
The poet says that on realizing Krishna as their husband, the faces of all the gopis were filled with happiness and shyness and became red.248.
ਲੈਬਰਦਾਨਸਭੈਗੁਪੀਆਅਤਿਆਨੰਦਕੈਮਨਿਡੇਰਨਆਈ॥
ਵਰਦਾਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬੜੀਆਂ ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਗਾਵਤਗੀਤਸਭੈਮਿਲਕੈਇਕਹ੍ਵੈਕੈਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ੍ਯਸੁਦੇਤਬਧਾਈ॥
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਦੂਜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
The gopis returned to their homes, being pleased, on receiving the desired boon and began to congratulate one another and exhibited their joy by singing songs
ਪਾਤਨਸਾਥਖਰੀਤਿਨਕੀਉਪਮਾਕਬਿਨੇਮੁਖਤੇਇਮਗਾਈ॥
ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪੰਕਤੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਖੜੀਆਂ ਹਨ; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹੀ ਹੈ,
ਮਾਨਹੁਪਾਇਨਿਸਾਪਤਿਕੋਸਰਮਧਿਖਿਰੀਕਵੀਆਧੁਰਤਾਈ॥੨੪੯॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤਲਾ ਵਿਚ (ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ) ਪਾਸੇ ਤਕ ਕੰਮੀਆਂ ਖਿੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੨੪੯॥
They are standing in a queue in this way as if the blossoming lotus-buds are standing in the tank and viewing the moon.249.
ਪ੍ਰਾਤਭਏਜਮਨਾਜਲਮੈਮਿਲਿਧਾਇਗਈਸਭਹੀਗੁਪੀਆ॥
ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਵਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਈਆਂ।
Early in the morning all the gopis went towards yamuna
ਮਿਲਿਗਾਵਤਗੀਤਚਲੀਤਿਹਜਾਕਰਿਆਨੰਦਭਾਮਿਨਮੈਕੁਪੀਆ॥
ਸਭ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਉਧਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਲ ਪਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਫੁਲੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ।
They were singing songs and seeing them in bliss, ‘the bliss’ also seemed to be in anger
ਤਬਹੀਫੁਨਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਚਲੇਤਿਹਜਾਜਮੁਨਾਜਲਕੋਫੁਨਿਜਾਜੁਪੀਆ॥
ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ ਉਥੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ। (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਚੁਪ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ)
ਸੋਊਦੇਖਿਤਬੈਭਗਵਾਨਕਹੇਨਹਿਬੋਲਹੁਰੀਕਰਿਹੋਚੁਪੀਆ॥੨੫੦॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਓਇ! ਬੋਲਦੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੁਪ ਕਰ ਗਈਆਂ ਹੋ ॥੨੫੦॥
Then Krishna also went towards Yamuna and seeing the gopis, he said to them, “Why do you not speak? And why are you keeping silent?”250.
