ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਜਾਵਤਹੈਮੁਰਲੀਸੁਨਿਹੋਤਸੁਰੀਅਸੁਰੀਸਭਬਉਰੀ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮੁਰਲੀ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਬੌਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Hearing these Ragas, the heavenly damsels and the wives of demons all are getting fascinated
ਆਇਗਈਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਸੁਨਿਪੈਤਰੁਨੀਹਰਨੀਜਿਮੁਦਉਰੀ॥੩੦੨॥
(ਬੰਸਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੁਰ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਖ ਭਾਨ (ਗਵਾਲੇ) ਦੀ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ (ਰਾਧਾ) ਜਵਾਨ ਹਿਰਨੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ (ਉਥੇ) ਆ ਗਈ ॥੩੦੨॥
Hearing the voice of the flute, Radha, the daughter of Brishbhan is coming running like a doe.302.
ਜੋਰਿਪ੍ਰਨਾਮਕਰਿਯੋਹਰਿਕੋਕਰਨਾਥਸੁਨੋਹਮਭੂਖਲਗੀਹੈ॥
(ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ) ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਨਾਥ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੁਖ ਲਗੀ ਹੈ।
Radha said with folded hands, “O Lord! I am hungry
ਦੂਰਹੈਸਭਗੋਪਿਨਕੇਘਰਖੇਲਨਕੀਸਭਸੁਧਭਗੀਹੈ॥
ਗਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਖੇਡਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੁਧ-ਬੁਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ,
The milk has remained back in all the houses of the gopas and while playing, I forgot everything
ਡੋਲਤਸੰਗਲਗੇਤੁਮਰੇਹਮਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਤਬੈਸੁਨਿਬਾਤਪਗੀਹੈ॥
ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਘੁੰਮਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ (ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ) ਭਿੰਨੇ ਹੋਏ
“I am wandering alongwith you
ਜਾਹੁਕਹਿਯੋਮਥਰਾਗ੍ਰਿਹਬਿਪਨਸਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਨਹਿਬਾਤਠਗੀਹੈ॥੩੦੩॥
(ਬੋਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਕਿਹਾ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ (ਖਾਣ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਲਈ) ਕਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਰਤਾ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਵੀ ਠਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੩੦੩॥
” When Krishna heard this, the told all to go into the houses of Brahmins in Mathura (and bring something to eat) I am speaking truth to you, there is not an iota of falsehood in it.”303.

ਫੇਰਿਕਹੀਹਰਿਜੀਸਭਗੋਪਨਕੰਸਪੁਰੀਇਹਹੈਤਹਜਈਐ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਗਵਾਲ-ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਇਹ ਕੰਸਪੁਰੀ (ਮਥੁਰਾ) ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਜਾਓ।
ਜਗਕੋਮੰਡਲਬਿਪਨਕੋਗ੍ਰਿਹਪੂਛਤਪੂਛਤਢੂੰਢਸੁਲਈਐ॥
ਯੱਗ ਦੇ ਮੰਡਲ ਜਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪੁਛਦਿਆਂ ਪੁਛਦਿਆਂ ਲਭ ਲੈਣਾ।
Krishna said to all the gopas, “Go to Mathura, the city of Kansa and ask about the Brahmins, who perform Yajnas
ਅੰਜੁਲਜੋਰਿਸਭੈਪਰਿਪਾਇਨਤਉਫਿਰਕੈਬਿਨਤੀਇਹਕਈਐ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਗੇ) ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨਾ
ਖਾਨਕੇਕਾਰਨਭੋਜਨਮਾਗਤਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਛੁਧਾਤੁਰਹੈਸੁਸੁਨਈਐ॥੩੦੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣਾਉਣਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਭੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਆਤੁਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੦੪॥
“Request them with folded hands and falling at their feet, that Krishna is hungry and is asking for food.”304.
ਮਾਨਲਈਜੋਊਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕਹੀਪਰਿਪਾਇਨਸੀਸਨਿਵਾਇਚਲੇ॥
ਜੋ (ਗੱਲ) ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਕਹੀ, (ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੇ) ਮੰਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਸ ਨਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਚਲ ਪਏ।
ਚਲਿਕੈਪੁਰਕੰਸਬਿਖੈਜੋਗਏਗ੍ਰਿਹਿਬਿਪਨਕੇਸਭਗੋਪਭਲੇ॥
(ਉਥੋਂ) ਚਲ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਵਿਚ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਭਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ।
Gopas accepted the saying of Krishna and bowing their heads, they all went away and reached the houses of Brahmins
ਕਰਿਕੋਟਿਪ੍ਰਨਾਮਕਰੀਬਿਨਤੀਫੁਨਿਭੋਜਨਮਾਗਤਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਖਲੇ॥
ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ (ਕਿ ਨਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ) ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਮੰਗ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
The gopas bowed before them and in the guise of Krishna, they asked for food
ਅਬਦੇਖਹੁਚਾਤੁਰਤਾਇਨਕੀਧਰਿਬਾਲਕਮੂਰਤਿਬਿਪਛਲੇ॥੩੦੫॥
ਹੁਣ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਲਾਕੀ ਵੇਖੋ ਕਿ ਬਾਲਕ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੩੦੫॥
Now see their cleverness that they are cheating all the Brahmins in the guise of Krishna.305.
ਬਿਪ੍ਰਬਾਚ॥
ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਕੋਪਭਰੇਦਿਜਬੋਲਉਠੇਹਮਤੇਤੁਮਭੋਜਨਮਾਗਨਆਏ॥
ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ (ਅਗੋਂ) ਬੋਲ ਪਏ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਮੰਗਣ ਆਏ ਹੋ।
The Brahmins spoke in anger, “You people have come to ask us for food
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਡੋਸਠਅਉਮੁਸਲੀਹਮਹੂੰਤੁਮਹੂੰਸਠਸੇਲਖਪਾਏ॥
ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ) ਝੂਠਾ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Krishna and Balram are very foolish do you consider all of us as fools?
ਪੇਟਭਰੈਅਪਨੋਤਬਹੀਜਬਆਨਤਤੰਦੁਲਮਾਗਿਪਰਾਏ॥
ਅਸੀਂ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੇਟ ਭਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਵਲ ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਏਤੇਪੈਖਾਨਕੋਮਾਗਤਹੈਇਹਯੌਕਹਿਕੈਅਤਿਬਿਪਰਿਸਾਏ॥੩੦੬॥
ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਵੀ (ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ) ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹੋ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਇੰਜ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੩੦੬॥
“We merely fill our bellies by begging for rice, you have come to beg from us.” saying these words the Brahmins expressed their anger.306.
ਬਿਪਨਭੋਜਨਜਉਨਦਯੋਤਬਹੀਗ੍ਰਿਹਗੋਪਚਲੇਸੁਖਿਸਾਨੇ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕ ਖਿਝੇ ਹੋਏ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਛਡ ਕੇ) ਚਲ ਪਏ।
ਕੰਸਪੁਰੀਤਜਕੈਗ੍ਰਿਹਬਿਪਨਨਾਖਿਚਲੇਜਮੁਨਾਨਿਜਕਾਨੇ॥
ਮਥੁਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਜਾ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ।
When the Brahmins did not give anything for eating, then getting embarrassed all the gopas left Mathura and came back to Krishna on the bank of Yamuna
ਬੋਲਿਉਠਿਯੋਮੁਸਲੀਕ੍ਰਿਸਨੰਸੰਗਿਅੰਨ੍ਰਯਬਿਨਾਜਬਆਵਤਜਾਨੇ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਾ ਕਿ ਵੇਖੋ,
ਦੇਖਹੁਲੈਨਕੋਆਵਤਥੇਦਿਜਦੇਨਕੀਬੇਰਕੋਦੂਰਪਰਾਨੇ॥੩੦੭॥
ਲੈਣ ਲਈ (ਇਹ) ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ (ਨਿਤ ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰ) ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਦੂਰ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੩੦੭॥
Seeing them coming without food, Krishna and Balram said, “The Brahmins come to us at the time of need, but run away when we ask for something.”307.

ਬਡੇਹੈਕੁਮਤੀਅਉਕੁਜਤੀਕੂਰਕਾਇਰਹੈਬਡੇਹੈਕਮੂਤਅਉਕੁਜਾਤਿਬਡੇਜਗਮੈ॥
(ਇਹ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਕੁਮਤੀ, ਕੁਜਤੀ, ਝੂਠੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਇਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਕੁ-ਨਸਲੇ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮਾੜੀ ਨਸਲ ਵਾਲੇ) ਅਤੇ ਕੁਜਾਤ ਹਨ।
These Brahmins are morally vicious, cruel, coward, very mean and very inferior
ਬਡੇਚੋਰਚੂਹਰੇਚਪਾਤੀਲੀਏਤਜੈਪ੍ਰਾਨਕਰੈਅਤਿਜਾਰੀਬਟਪਾਰੀਅਉਰਮਗਮੈ॥
(ਇਹ) ਵੱਡੇ ਚੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਚੂੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਰੋਟੀ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਦਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਡਕੈਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
These Brahmins, doing actions like thieves and scavengers, ever sacrifice their lives for bread they can act like impostors and plunderers on the paths
ਬੈਠੇਹੈਅਜਾਨਮਾਨੋਕਹੀਅਤਹੈਸਯਾਨੇਕਛੂਜਾਨੇਨਗਿਆਨਸਉਕੁਰੰਗਬਾਧੇਪਗਮੈ॥
(ਇਹ) ਬਹੁਤ ਬੇਸਮਝ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਇੰਜ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਕਹੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗਿਆਨ ਤਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪਰ ਪੈਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੌ ਹਿਰਨ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸੌ ਹਿਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਭਜੀ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਥਵਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੇਲਿਹਾਜ ਹਨ)।
They sit down like ignorant people they are clever from within and
ਬਡੈਹੈਕੁਛੈਲਪੈਕਹਾਵਤਹੈਛੈਲਐਸੇਫਿਰਤਨਗਰਜੈਸੇਫਿਰੈਢੋਰਵਗਮੈ॥੩੦੮॥
(ਇਹ) ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੋਝੇ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਇੰਜ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਸੂ ਵਗ ਵਿਚ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੦੮॥
Though they have very little knowledge, they run hither and thither with great speed like dear they are very ugly, but call themselves beautiful and roam in the city unobstructed like animals.308.
ਮੁਸਲੀਬਾਚਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਸੋ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਆਇਸੁਹੋਇਤਉਖੈਚਹਲਾਸੰਗਮੂਸਲਸੋਮਥੁਰਾਸਭਫਾਟੋ॥
(ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਜੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਹਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਨਗਰੀ ਖਿਚ ਲਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸਲੀ (ਮੋਹਲੇ) ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਟ ਦਿਆਂ।
“O Krishna! If you say, then I can tear Mathura into two halves with the blow of my mace if you say, then I will catch the Brahmins
ਬਿਪਨਜਾਇਕਹੋਪਕਰੋਕਹੋਮਾਰਿਡਰੋਕਹੋਰੰਚਕਡਾਟੋ॥
ਜੇ ਕਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਲਿਆਵਾਂ, ਜੇ ਕਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਡਾਂਟ ਦਿਆਂ।
If you say, I will kill them and if you say, I will rebuke them a little and then release them
ਅਉਰਕਹੋਤੋਉਖਾਰਿਪੁਰੀਬਲੁਕੈਅਪੁਨੇਜਮੁਨਾਮਹਿਸਾਟੋ॥
ਜੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਨਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਖਾੜ ਕੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਟ ਦਿਆਂ।
“If you say then I will uproot the whole city of Mathura with my power and throw it away in Yamuna
ਸੰਕਤਹੋਤੁਮਤੇਜਦੁਰਾਇਨਹਉਇਕਲੋਅਰਿਕੋਸਿਰਕਾਟੋ॥੩੦੯॥
ਹੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਝਿਝਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੀ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਵਢ ਕੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿਆਂ ॥੩੦੯॥
I have some fear from you, otherwise O Yadava king! I can destroy all the enemies alone.”309.

ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਕ੍ਰੋਧਛਿਮਾਪਨਕੈਮੁਸਲੀਹਰਿਫੇਰਿਕਹੀਸੰਗਬਾਲਕਬਾਨੀ॥
ਹੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ! ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਕਰੋ। ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ।
ਬਿਪਗੁਰੂਸਭਹੀਜਗਕੇਸਮਝਾਇਕਹੀਇਹਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕਹਾਨੀ॥
ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝਾ ਕੇ ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੇ (ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ)।
“O Balram! One may be forgiven for anger,” saying this Krishan addressed the gopa boys, “The Brahmin is the Guru of the whole world
ਆਇਸੁਮਾਨਿਗਏਫਿਰਕੈਜੁਹੁਤੀਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੰਸਹਿਕੀਰਜਧਾਨੀ॥
ਬਾਲਕ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ) ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਕੰਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ (ਮਥੁਰਾ) ਵਿਚ ਫਿਰ ਗਏ
ਖੈਬੇਕੋਭੋਜਨਮਾਗਤਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕਹਿਯੋਨਹਿਬਿਪਮਨੀਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ॥੩੧੦॥
ਅਤੇ (ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ) ਨਾ ਮੰਨੀ ॥੩੧੦॥
(But it seems wonderful) that the gopas obeyed and went again to ask for food and reached the capital of the king, but even on naming Krishna, the proud Brahmin did not give anything.310.

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਜੂਕੇਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਕੋਬਿਪਨਦੁਬਾਰਰਿਸਿਉਤਰਦਯੋਨਕਛੂਖੈਬੇਕੋਕਛੂਦਯੋ॥
ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ (ਮਿਤਰ) ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਖਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Getting angry again at the gopa boys of Krishna, the Brahmins replied, but did not give anything to eat
ਤਬਹੀਰਿਸਾਏਗੋਪਆਏਹਰਿਜੂਕੇਪਾਸਕਰਿਕੈਪ੍ਰਨਾਮਐਸੇਉਤਰਤਿਨੈਦਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਗਵਾਲ ਬਾਲਕ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ
Then they, being displeased, came back to Krishna and said on bowing their heads,
ਮੋਨਸਾਧਿਬੈਠਿਰਹੈਖੈਬੇਕੋਨਦੇਤਕਛੂਤਬੈਫਿਰਿਆਇਜਬੈਕ੍ਰੋਧਮਨਮੈਭਯੋ॥
ਕਿ (ਸਾਡੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ) ਚੁਪ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ।
“The Brahmins, on seeing us, have kept silent and have not given anything to eat therefore we are enraged
ਅਤਿਹੀਛੁਧਾਤੁਰਭਏਹੈਹਮਦੀਨਾਨਾਥਕੀਜੀਐਉਪਾਵਨਤੋਬਲਤਨਕੋਗਯੋ॥੩੧੧॥
ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਨਾਥ! ਅਸੀਂ ਭੁਖ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹਾਂ, ਕੋਈ ਉਪਾ ਕਰੋ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਛੀਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਏਗਾ ॥੩੧੧॥
O the Lord of the lowly! we are extremely hungry, take some step for us the strength of our body has extremely declined.”311.
