ਪੂਜਜਬੈਇਨਹੂੰਨਕਰੀਤਬਹੀਕੁਪਿਓਇਨਪੈਧਰਤਾਪ੍ਰਘ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ (ਇੰਦਰ ਦੀ) ਪੂਜਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਦੋਂ ਬਜ੍ਰ-ਧਾਰੀ ਇੰਦਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
When they not worship Indra, he became furious and bore his Vajra
ਬੇਦਨਮਧਕਹੀਇਨਿਭੀਮਤੇਮਾਰਿਡਰਿਯੋਛਲਸੋਪਤਵਾਮਘ॥੩੫੦॥
ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਵੇਦਾਂ (ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ) ਵਿਚ ਕਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਸੰਕੇਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਛਲ ਨਾਲ ਭੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ॥੩੫੦॥

ਭੂਸੁਤਸੋਲਰਕੈਜਿਨਹੂੰਨਵਸਾਤਛੁਡਾਇਲਈਬਰਮੰਙਾ॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਭੂਮਾਸੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ) ਸੋਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਛੁੜਵਾ ਲਿਆਂਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ;
Krishna, who fighting with Bhumasura, saved sixteen thousand women,
ਆਦਿਸਤਜੁਗਕੇਮੁਰਕੇਗੜਤੋਰਿਦਏਸਭਜਿਉਕਚਬੰਙਾ॥
ਜਿਸਨੇ ਆਦਿ ਸੱਤ-ਯੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਰ ਦੈਂਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਕਚ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੰਗਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ;
Who in Satyuga had shattered the citadels like the bangled of glass,
ਹੈਕਰਤਾਸਭਹੀਜਗਕੋਅਰੁਦੇਵਨਹਾਰਇਹੀਜੁਗਸੰਙਾ॥
ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ; (ਜੋ) ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈ,
He is virtually the Creator and the Sustainer of the whole universe
ਲੋਕਨਕੋਪਤਿਸੋਮਤਿਮੰਦਬਿਬਾਦਕਰੈਮਘਵਾਮਤਿਲੰਙਾ॥੩੫੧॥
(ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਭ੍ਰਸ਼ਟ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ (ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ) ਇੰਦਰ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਖੜਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੫੧॥
Indra of low intellect, is trying to quarrel with him.351.
ਗੋਪਨਸੋਖਿਝਕੈਮਘਵਾਤਜਿਕੈਮਨਿਆਨੰਦਕੋਪਰਚੇ॥
ਗਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਖਿਝ ਕੇ, ਇੰਦਰ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ
Annoyed with the gopas and forsaking his peace of mind, being in great fury,
ਸੰਗਿਮੇਘਨਜਾਇਕਹੀਬਰਖੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਪੈਰਸਬੀਰਹੀਮਧਗਚੇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ (ਇਹ ਗੱਲ) ਕਹੀ ਕਿ ਵੀਰ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਗੜੁਚ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਉਤੇ ਬਰਖਾ ਕਰੋ।
Indra asked the clouds, “All of you may go, shower with full force the rain on Braja
ਕਰੀਯੋਬਰਖਾਇਤਨੀਉਨਪੈਜਿਹਤੇਫੁਨਿਗੋਪਨਏਕਬਚੇ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਗਵਾਲਿਆਂ) ਉਤੇ ਇਤਨੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਇਕ ਗਵਾਲਾ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਬਚ ਸਕੇ।
“Shower so much rain, that not even one gopa may survive and all the brothers,
ਸਭਭੈਨਨਭ੍ਰਾਤਨਤਾਤਨਪਊਤ੍ਰਨਤਊਅਨਮਾਰਹੁਸਾਥਚਚੇ॥੩੫੨॥
ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਣਾਂ, ਭਰਾਵਾਂ, ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ, ਪੋਤਰਿਆਂ, ਤਾਇਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਚਿਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ ॥੩੫੨॥
Sisters, fathers, sons, grandsons and uncles all may perish.”352.
ਆਇਸੁਮਾਨਿਪੁਰੰਦਰਕੋਅਪਨੇਸਭਮੇਘਨਕਾਛਸੁਕਾਛੇ॥
ਇੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਕ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਏ।
Getting the orders of Indra, all the clouds started towards Braja for besieging and devastating Braja
ਧਾਇਚਲੇਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੇਮਰਬੇਕਹੁਘੇਰਿਦਸੋਦਿਸਤੇਘਨਆਛੇ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ (ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਨੇ) ਧਾਵਾ ਬੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ।
They went to kill the cows and calves,
ਕੋਪਭਰੇਅਰੁਬਾਰਿਭਰੇਬਧਬੇਕਉਚਲੇਚਰੀਆਜੋਊਬਾਛੇ॥
ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ ('ਬਾਰਿ') ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੱਛਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ (ਗਵਾਲਿਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਚਲ ਪਏ।
Having been filled with water and rage
ਛਿਪ੍ਰਚਲੇਕਰਬੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਕਾਰਜਛੋਡਿਚਲੇਬਨਿਤਾਸੁਤਪਾਛੇ॥੩੫੩॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਛੇ ਛਡ ਕੇ, ਤੁਰਤ ਚਲ ਪਏ ॥੩੫੩॥
They left their wives and children behind and quickly left for performing the duty assigned to them by Indra.353
ਦੈਤਸੰਖਾਸੁਰਕੇਮਰਬੇਕਹੁਰੂਪੁਧਰਿਯੋਜਲਮੈਜਿਨਿਮਛਾ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੇ) ਸੰਖਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਮੱਛ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ;
He, who assumed the form of Matsya for killing the demon Shankhasur,
ਸਿੰਧੁਮਥਿਯੋਜਬਹੀਅਸੁਰਾਸੁਰਮੇਰੁਤਰੈਭਯੋਕਛਪਹਛਾ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਨੇ) ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਰਿੜਕਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੇਰੁ ਪਰਬਤ ਰੂਪ ਮਧਾਣੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਕੱਛੂ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਕਾਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ);
Who seated himself as Kachh (tortoise) under the Sumeru mountain at the time of churning the ocean,
ਸੋਅਬਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਭਯੋਇਹਠਉਰਿਚਰਾਵਤਹੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੇਸਭਬਛਾ॥
ਓਹੀ ਹੁਣ ਇਥੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਛਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਖੇਲਦਿਖਾਵਤਹੈਜਗਕੋਇਹਹੈਕਰਤਾਸਭਜੀਵਨਰਛਾ॥੩੫੪॥
(ਜੋ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੫੪॥
The same Krishna is now grazing the cows and calves of Braja and in this way, protecting the lives of all and exhibiting the amorous play to all.354.
ਆਇਸਮਾਨਿਸਭੈਮਘਵਾਹਰਿਕੇਪੁਰਘੇਰਿਘਨੇਘਨਗਾਜੈ॥
ਇੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ
Obeying the orders of Indra, the clouds thundered on besieging the city,,
ਦਾਮਿਨਿਜਿਉਗਰਜੈਜਨੁਰਾਮਕੇਸਾਮੁਹਿਰਾਵਨਦੁੰਦਭਿਬਾਜੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਘੇਰ ਕੇ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਬਦਲ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਜਣ ਲਗੇ। ਬਿਜਲੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੜਕ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਮਾਨੋ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਦੇ ਧੌਂਸੇ ਗੂੰਜ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
, The lighting was crackling like the trumpets of Ravana resounding before Ram,
ਸੋਧੁਨਿਸ੍ਰਉਨਨਮੈਸੁਨਿਗੋਪਦਸੋਦਿਸਕੋਡਰਕੈਉਠਿਭਾਜੈ॥
ਉਸ ਧੁਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਡਰਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਗਵਾਲੇ ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਲ ਉਠ ਭਜੇ ਸਨ।

ਸਾਰੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਆ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਵਨ (ਦੀ ਰਖਿਆ) ਲਈ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ (ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ) ॥੩੫੫॥
Hearing this sound, gopas ran in all the ten directions and came and fell at the feet of Krishna asking for help.355.,,
ਮੇਘਨਕੋਡਰਕੈਹਰਿਸਾਮੁਹਿਗੋਪਪੁਕਾਰਤਹੈਦੁਖੁਮਾਝਾ॥
ਬਦਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗ੍ਰਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਗਵਾਲੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ (ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ) ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
Hearing this sound, gopas ran in all the ten directions and came and fell at the feet of Krishna asking for help.355.,,
ਰਛਕਰੋਹਮਰੀਕਰੁਨਾਨਿਧਿਬ੍ਰਿਸਟਭਈਦਿਨਅਉਸਤਸਾਝਾ॥
ਹੇ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਨਿਧੀ! ਸਾਡੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ; ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਖਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Fearing the clouds, all he gopas, crying in agony before Krishna are saying, “O Treasure of Mercy! it is raining heavily for the last seven days and nights, kindly protect us,,
