ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਵੇ ਦੇ ਜਗਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਹੀ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਮ੍ਰਗੀ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਭੂਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਯੋਂ ਸਾਫ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Just as a house is lit up when a lamp is lighted in it, it makes everything visible clearly;
ਓਤਿਪੋਤਜੋਤਿਹੋਤਕਾਰਜਬਾਛਤਸਿਧਿਆਨਦਬਿਨੋਦਸੁਖਸਹਜਿਬਿਹਾਤਹੈ।
ਜੋਤ ਚਾਨਣੇ ਦੇ ਓਤ ਪੋਤ = ਇਉਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਰਮਿਆਂ ਹੋਯਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਮਨ ਮੰਨੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਸਿਧਿ ਹੋਤ ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਜ ਅਰੁ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੂਰਬਕ ਸਹਜੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
With light spreading all around, all the tasks can be accomplished with ease and the time passes in peace and happiness;

ਲਾਟ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਖਾਤ੍ਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਫੰਬਟ ਲਾਲਚ ਦੇ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਇ ਹੋਏ ਓਸ ਉਪਰ ਲੁਭਿਤ ਲੱਟੂ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਪਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਜਾਂ ਦੀਵਾ ਬੁਝ ਕੇ, ਓਸ ਦੀ ਲਾਟ ਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਯਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਪਸਰ ਪਿਆਂ ਸਭੇ ਹੀ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਯਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Just as many moths are enamoured by the light of the lamp but are distressed when the light goes off and darkness descends;

ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਬਿਦਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦ੍ਯਾਂ ਹੋਰਤੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਉਪਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣੀਦਾ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਅੰਤਿਰੀਛ = ਅੰਤਰ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਪਛੋਤਾਵੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਰ੍ਯਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੫੦॥
