(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੋਰਠ, ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਮਲ੍ਹਾਰ, ਬਿਲਾਵਲ (ਆਦਿਕ ਰਾਗ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
“Krishna is pleasing all, by playing there on the musical modes of Sorath, Shuddh Malhar and Bilawal
ਅਉਰਕੀਬਾਤਕਹਾਕਹੀਯੇਸੁਰਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਸਭੈਸੁਰਮੰਡਲਆਵੈ॥੬੮੬॥
ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੀਏ, ਦੇਵ-ਮੰਡਲ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੬੮੬॥
What to say of others, even the gods leaving their sphere, are coming there.”686.

ਹੇ ਸਜਨੀ! ਮੈਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ। ਜੇ ਜਾਵਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਲਗੇ।
“O friend! I swear by the Lord of Braja, I shall not go to Krishna
ਮੋਸੰਗਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਤਜੀਜਦੁਨੰਦਨਚੰਦ੍ਰਭਗਾਸੰਗਿਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਲਗਾਈ॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਭਗਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਲਗਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
Krishna has forsaken his love with me and is absorbed in the love of Chandarbhaga,”
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੀਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਮਹਾਤੁਮਸੌਤਜਿਮਾਨਹਹਾਰੀਚਲੋਦੁਚਿਤਾਈ॥
(ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਬਿੱਜਛਟਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ) ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੈ। ਹਾਇ ਨੀ! ਤੂੰ 'ਮਾਣ' ਅਤੇ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਛਡ (ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ) ਚਲ।
Then the friend named Vidyuchhata said to Radha, “O Radha! you go there abandoning your duality
ਤੇਰੇਬਿਨਾਨਹੀਖੇਲਤਹੈਕਹਿਯੋਖੇਲਹੁਜਾਹੂੰਸੋਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਲਗਾਈ॥੬੮੭॥
(ਉਹ) ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਖੇਡਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ। (ਰਾਧਾ ਨੇ ਅਗੋਂ) ਕਿਹਾ, (ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਖੇਡੇ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਲਗਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ॥੬੮੭॥
Krishna loved you more than anyone else, he does not like to play without you, because the passionate play can only be with one, whom one loves.”687.

ਹੇ ਸਜਨੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ, (ਪਰ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨਾ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਰੋਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
“O friend! I fall at your feet, do not have any arrogance like this in your mind
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਬੁਲਾਵਤਹੈਸੁਜਹਾਉਠਕੈਤਿਹਠਉਰਬਿਖੈਚਲਿਜਈਯੈ॥
ਜਿਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
You go to the place, where Krishna is calling you
ਨਾਚਤਹੈਜਿਮਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਆਨਚੀਯੈਤਿਮਅਉਤਿਹਭਾਤਿਹੀਗਈਯੈ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ (ਹੋਰ) ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਚਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਨਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
“The way in which the gopis are dancing and singing, you may also dance and sing
ਅਉਰਅਨੇਕਿਕਬਾਤਕਰੋਪਰਰਾਧੇਬਲਾਇਲਿਉਸਉਹਨਖਈਯੈ॥੬੮੮॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਧਾ! (ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ) ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਵਾਂ, (ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰੀਏ ਪਰ ਸੌਂਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ॥੬੮੮॥
O Radha! you may talk about anything else except your oath regarding not going.”688.

ਹੇ ਸਜਨੀ! ਸੁਣ, ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ, (ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਭੇਜੇ।
“O friend! if Krishna sends millions of gopis like you, even then I shall not go
ਬੰਸੀਬਜਾਵੈਤਹਾਤੁਕਹਾਅਰੁਆਪਕਹਾਭਯੋਮੰਗਲਗਾਵੈ॥
(ਜੇ) ਬੰਸਰੀ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ; (ਅਤੇ ਜੇ) ਆਪ ਮੰਗਲਮਈ (ਗੀਤ) ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ।
Wherever he is playing on his flute and singing the songs of praise,
ਮੈਨਚਲੋਤਿਹਠਉਰਬਿਖੈਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਹਮਕੋਕਹਿਯੋਆਨਿਸੁਨਾਵੈ॥
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਾਂਗੀ (ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ (ਕਿਉਂ ਨ) ਸੁਣਾਵੇ।
“Even if Brahma comes and asks me, even then I shall not go there
ਅਉਰਸਖੀਕੀਕਹਾਗਨਤੀਨਹੀਜਾਉਰੀਜਉਹਰਿਆਪਨਆਵੈ॥੬੮੯॥
ਹੇ ਸਜਨੀ! ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ, (ਜੇ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਆਪ ਵੀ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਉਣ) ਆ ਜਾਵੇ (ਤਾਂ ਵੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ ॥੬੮੯॥
I do not consider any friend of any account, you may all go and if Krishna wants, he can come himself.”689.
ਦੂਤੀਬਾਚਰਾਧੇਸੋ॥
ਦੂਤੀ ਨੇ ਰਾਧਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਹੇ ਰਾਧਾ ('ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ!) ਸੁਣ, ਕਿਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈਂ; (ਜੋ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਠ ਕੇ ਓਹੀ (ਕੰਮ) ਕਰ।
“O gopi! why are you absorbed in pride?
ਜਾਕੇਕੀਏਹਰਿਹੋਇਖੁਸੀਸੁਨਿਯੈਬਲਕਾਜਕਰੋਅਬਜੋਊ॥
(ਹੇ ਸਖੀ!) ਸੁਣ, ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਾਵਾਂ, ਹੁਣ ਓਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇ।
Do whatever Krishna has said, do that work, which pleases Krishna,
ਤਉਤੁਹਿਬੋਲਿਪਠਾਵਤਹੈਜਬਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਲਗੀਤੁਮਸੋਤਬਓਊ॥
ਤਦੇ ਹੀ (ਉਹ) ਤੈਨੂੰ (ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ) ਬੁਲਾ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਲਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਤਰਰਾਸਬਿਖੈਸੁਨਰੀਤੁਹਿਸੀਨਹਿਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਸੁੰਦਰਕੋਊ॥੬੯੦॥
ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਨੀ! (ਕੀ) ਰਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਗੋਪੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੬੯੦॥
“He loves you, therefore he has sent me to call you, otherwise why there is none other so beautiful gopi in the whole amorous play?690.
ਸੰਗਤੇਰੇਹੀਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਘਨੀਹਰਿਕੀਸਭਜਾਨਤਹੈਕਛੂਨਾਹਿਨਈ॥
ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਨਿਘੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ ਭੇਦ) ਸਭ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਨਵੀਂ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ।
“He is profound love with you, everyone knows it and this is not a new thing
ਜਿਹਕੀਮੁਖਉਪਮਚੰਦ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਭਾਜਿਹਕੀਤਨਭਾਮਨੋਰੂਪਮਈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਮਾਨੋ ਰੂਪਮਈ ਹੈ।
He, whose face is glorious like the moon and whose body is beauty-incarnate,
ਤਿਹਸੰਗਕੋਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਸੁਨੋਸਜਨੀਗ੍ਰਿਹਕੀਉਠਕੈਤੁਹਿਬਾਟਲਈ॥
ਹੇ ਸਜਨੀ! ਸੁਣ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੰਗ ਛਡ ਕੇ, ਤੂੰ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੇ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਹੈਂ।
“Leaving his company, O friend! you have taken the path leading to your home
ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਕੇਸੰਗਸਖੀਬਹੁਤੇਰੀਰੀਤੋਸੀਗੁਵਾਰਿਭਈਨਭਈ॥੬੯੧॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਬਥੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਨੀ! ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੋਈ, ਨਾ ਹੋਈ (ਇਕੋ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ) ॥੬੯੧॥
There are may young damsels in the company of Krishna, the lord of Braja, but there is none so uncivilised like you.”691.

ਗੋਪੀ (ਬਿੱਜਛਟਾ) ਦੀ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਧਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। (ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੀ) ਨੀ ਤੀਵੀਏਂ!
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਬਿਨਾਪਠਏਰੀਤ੍ਰੀਯਾਹਮਰੇਉਨਕੇਉਠਿਬੀਚਪਈਹੈ॥
(ਤੂੰ) ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਬਿਨਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਆ ਡਟੀ ਹੈਂ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਵਿਚੋਲਣ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈਂ)।
Hearing these words of the gopi, Radha got infuriated and said, “Without being sent by Krishna, you have come in between me and Krishna
ਆਈਮਨਾਵਨਹੈਹਮਕੋਸੁਕਹੀਬਤੀਯਾਜੁਨਹੀਰੁਚਈਹੈ॥
ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਆਈ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
“You have come to persuade me, but whatever you have talked, I have not liked
ਕੋਪਕੈਉਤਰਦੇਤਭਈਚਲਰੀਚਲਤੂਕਿਨਿਬੀਚਦਈਹੈ॥੬੯੨॥
ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਕੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣ ਲਗੀ, ਜਾ, ਨੀ ਜਾ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਲਗੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੬੯੨॥
” In great ire, Radha said, “You go away from this place and do not meddle in between us uselessly.”692.
ਦੂਤੀਬਾਚਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਸੋ॥
ਦੂਤੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਕੋਪਕੈਉਤਰਦੇਤਭਈਇਨਆਇਕਹਿਯੋਫਿਰਿਸੰਗਸੁਜਾਨੈ॥
(ਜਦ ਰਾਧਾ ਨੇ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, (ਤਾਂ) ਫਿਰ ਇਸ (ਬਿੱਜਛਟਾ) ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ('ਸੁਜਾਨੈ') ਪਾਸ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
The messenger said to Krishna in ire that Radha was giving her replies in anger
ਬੈਠਰਹੀਹਠਮਾਨਿਤ੍ਰੀਯਾਹਉਮਨਾਇਰਹੀਜੜਕਿਉਹੂੰਨਮਾਨੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਰੁਸ ਕੇ ਹਠ ਪੂਰਵਕ (ਘਰ) ਬੈਠ ਗਈ ਹੈ; ਮੈਂ ਮਨਾ ਥਕੀ, (ਪਰ ਉਹ) ਮੂਰਖ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੀ।
She seems determined on her female persistence and she with her idiotic intellect is not agreeing in any way
ਸਾਮਦੀਏਨਮਨੈਨਹੀਦੰਡਮਨੈਨਹੀਭੇਦਦੀਏਅਰੁਦਾਨੈ॥
ਉਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਿਆਂ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਭੇਦ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣ (ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ) ਮੰਨੇਗੀ।
She has not agreed in any of the four: calmness, restraint, penalty and difference
ਐਸੀਗੁਵਾਰਿਸੋਹੇਤਕਹਾਤੁਮਰੀਜੋਊਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਕੋਰੰਗਨਜਾਨੈ॥੬੯੩॥
ਅਜਿਹੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿਸ ਕੰਮ, ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੬੯੩॥
She is also not comprehending the facet of your love, what is the use of loving such an uncivilised gopi? 693.
ਮੈਨਪ੍ਰਭਾਬਾਚਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਜੂਸੋ॥
ਮੈਨਪ੍ਰਭਾ (ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੋਪੀ) ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਮੈਨਪ੍ਰਭਾ (ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੋਪੀ ਜੋ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਸ ਸੀ, (ਬਿੱਜਛਟਾ ਦੀ) ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਬੋਲ ਪਈ।
ਲਿਆਇਹੋਹਉਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਤੁਮਤੇਹਰਿਜੂਜੋਊਗ੍ਵਾਰਰੁਠੀਹੈ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੀ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ! ਜਿਹੜੀ ਗੋਪੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੁਸ ਗਈ ਹੈ, (ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
A gopi named Mainprabha, who was standing near Krishna, listening to the messenger, said, “O Krishna! the gopi who was become angry with you, I shall bring her.”
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੇਪਾਇਨਪੈਤਬਹੀਸੁਲਿਯਾਵਨਤਾਹੀਕੇਕਾਜਉਠੀਹੈ॥
