ਰਾਸਬਿਖੈਹਮਕੋਸੰਗਲੈਸਖੀਜਾਨਤਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਸੰਗਅਰੋਗੇ॥
ਰਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਖੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ (ਜਾਓਗੇ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ (ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ) ਗੋਪੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਟਕ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
You will take me alongwith you in the arena of amorous sport, but I know that there you will engage yourself with other gopis
ਹਉਨਹੀਹਾਰਿਹਉਪੈਤੁਮਤੇਤੁਮਹੀਹਮਤੇਹਰਿਹਾਰਿਪਰੋਗੇ॥
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਰਾਂਗੀ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਗੇ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
“O Krishna! I do not feel defeated by you, but in future also, you will be defeated by me
ਏਕਨਜਾਨਤਕੁੰਜਗਲੀਨਲਵਾਇਕਹਿਯੋਕਛੁਕਾਜੁਕਰੋਗੇ॥੭੪੬॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਕੁੰਜ-ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ (ਜੋ) ਇਕ (ਮੈਂ) ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ, (ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚ) ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਉਥੇ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣਾ ਹੀ) ਕੁਝ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋਗੇ ॥੭੪੬॥
You do not know anything about any alcove, what will you do by taking me there.”746.
ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਅਤਿਜੋਹਰਿਕੇਰਸਭੀਤਰਭੀਨੀ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰਾਧਾ ਨੇ, ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਭਿਜ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
The poet Shyam says that Radha became absorbed in the love of Krishna
ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਕਹਿਯੋਹਸਿਕੈਛਬਿਦਾਤਨਕੀਅਤਿਸੁੰਦਰਚੀਨੀ॥
ਹਸ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ। (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਗਦੀ ਸੀ।
She said smilingly to the Lord of Braja and the winsome luster of her teeth,
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੀਅਤਿਹੀਉਪਮਾਮਨਮੈਜੁਭਈਕਬਿਕੇਸੋਊਕੀਨੀ॥
ਉਸ ਛਬੀ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਜੋ ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ, ਉਹ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
While smiling looked like the flash of lightning amongst the clouds, according to the poet
ਜਿਉਘਨਬੀਚਲਸੈਚਪਲਾਤਿਹਕੋਠਗਕੈਠਗਨੀਠਗਲੀਨੀ॥੭੪੭॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਾਲੇ ਬਦਲ ਵਿਚ ਚਮਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਠਗਣ ਲਈ ਠਗਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ (ਇਸ ਨੇ) ਠਗ ਲਿਆ ॥੭੪੭॥
In this way that deceitful gopi (Radha) deceived the cheat (Krishna).747.
ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਅਤਿਜੋਹਰਿਕੇਰਸਭੀਤਰਭੀਨੀ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਿਜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ,
ਬੀਚਹੁਲਾਸਬਢਿਯੋਮਨਕੈਜਬਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ੍ਰਹਕੀਬਾਤਸਭੈਮਨਿਲੀਨੀ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਧ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਮਨ ਲਈ।
Radha was completely filled with the passionate love of Krishna and remembering his words, she was filled with joy in her mind
ਕੁੰਜਗਲੀਨਮੈਖੇਲਹਿੰਗੇਹਰਿਕੇਤਿਨਸੰਗਕਹਿਯੋਸੋਊਕੀਨੀ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ, 'ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਖੇਡਾਂਗੇ', ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੰਨ ਲਈ।
ਯੌਹਸਿਬਾਤਨਿਸੰਗਕਹਿਯੋਮਨਕੀਦੁਚਿਤਾਈਸਭਹੀਤਜਿਦੀਨੀ॥੭੪੮॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਹਸ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੭੪੮॥
She said, “I shall play with Krishna in the alcoves and I shall do whatever he says.” saying this, she, unhesitantingly, abandoned all her duality of the mind.748.
ਦੋਊਜਉਹਸਿਬਾਤਨਸੰਗਢਰੇਤੁਹੁਲਾਸਬਿਲਾਸਬਢੇਸਗਰੇ॥
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜਦ ਹਸ ਹਸ ਕੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁਟ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਲਾਸ ਵਧ ਗਏ।
When both of them, talking smilingly, fell down, their love and merriment increased
ਹਸਿਕੰਠਲਗਾਇਲਈਲਲਨਾਗਹਿਗਾੜੇਅਨੰਗਤੇਅੰਕਭਰੇ॥
ਹਸ ਕੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਪਿਆਰੀ (ਰਾਧਾ) ਨੂੰ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਕਲਾਵੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
Krishna smilingly hugged that beloved to his bosom and with his strength he embraced her
ਤਰਕੀਹੈਤਨੀਦਰਕੀਅੰਗੀਆਗਰਮਾਲਤੇਟੂਟਕੈਲਾਲਪਰੇ॥
(ਅੰਗੀ ਦੀ) ਤਣੀ ਤਿੜਕ ਗਈ, ਚੋਲੀ ਫਟ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਗਲੇ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲਾਲ (ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ) ਪਏ।
In this act, the blouse of Radha was pulled and its string was broken
ਪੀਯਕੇਮਿਲਏਤ੍ਰੀਯਕੇਹੀਯਤੇਅੰਗਰਾਬਿਰਹਾਗਨਿਕੇਨਿਕਰੇ॥੭੪੯॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ) ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੇ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਰਹੋਂ ਰੂਪ ਅਗਨੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਗਾਰੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਪਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੭੪੯॥
The gems of her necklace also broke and fell down, meeting her beloved, the limbs of Radha came out of the fire of separation.749.
ਹਰਿਰਾਧਿਕਾਸੰਗਿਚਲੇਬਨਲੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਮਨਿਆਨੰਦਪਾਯੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਾਧਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਨ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਹਨ।
The poet says that Krishna, being filled with bliss in his mind, took Radha with him and went towards the forest
ਕੁੰਜਗਲੀਨਮੈਕੇਲਕਰੇਮਨਕੋਸਭਸੋਕਹੁਤੋਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ॥
ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੇਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਜੋ ਗ਼ਮ ਸਨ, ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
Roaming in the alcoves, he forgot the sorrow of his mind
ਤਾਹੀਕਥਾਕੌਕਿਧੌਜਗਮੈਮਨਮੈਸੁਕਆਦਿਕਗਾਇਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਉਸੇ ਹੀ ਕਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਕਦੇਵ ਆਦਿਕ ਨੇ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
This love-story has been sung by Shukdev and others
ਜੋਊਸੁਨੈਸੋਊਰੀਝਰਹੈਜਿਹਕੇਸਭਹੀਧਰਿਮੈਜਸੁਛਾਯੋ॥੭੫੦॥
ਜੋ ਵੀ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਓਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਯਸ਼ ਛਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੭੫੦॥
Krishna, whose praise has been spread throughout the whole world, whosoever listens to his story, is fascinated by it.750.

ਹਰਿਜੂਇਮਰਾਧਿਕਾਸੰਗਿਕਹੀਜਮੁਨਾਮੈਤਰੋਤੁਮਕੋਗਹਿਹੈ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਧਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, (ਤੂੰ) ਜਮਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਤਰ ਅਤੇ (ਮੈਂ) ਤੈਨੂੰ (ਤਰਦੇ) ਫੜਾਂਗਾ।
Krishna said to Radha, “Your swim in Yamuna and I shall catch you
ਜਲਮੈਹਮਕੇਲਕਰੈਗੇਸੁਨੋਰਸਬਾਤਸਭੈਸੁਤਹਾਕਹਿਹੈ॥
ਜਲ ਵਿਚ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣ, (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਦਸਾਂਗਾ।
We will perform acts of love in water and shall also talk to you there everything about love
ਜਿਹਓਰਨਿਹਾਰਬਧੂਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੀਲਲਚਾਇਮਨੈਪਿਖਿਬੋਚਹਿਹੈ॥
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਜਿਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲ (ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ) ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਲਚਾ ਕੇ (ਸਾਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
“When the women of Braja will see you here covetously,
ਪਹੁਚੈਗੀਨਹਿਤਹਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਏਹਮਹੂੰਤੁਮਰੀਝਤਹਾਰਹਿਹੈ॥੭੫੧॥
ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਉਥੇ (ਜਲ ਵਿਚ) ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਣਗੀਆਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਾਂਗੇ ॥੭੫੧॥
They will not be able to reach upto this place, we will remain there delightfully.”751.
ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਹਰਿਕੇਮੁਖਤੇਜਲਪੈਠਨਕੀਬਤੀਯਾਸੁਨਿਪਾਈ॥
(ਜਦ) ਰਾਧਾ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ,
ਧਾਇਕੈਜਾਇਪਰੀਸਰਮੈਕਰਿਕੈਅਤਿਹੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਿਬਡਾਈ॥
(ਤਦ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਨਦੀ) ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਪਈ।
Hearing the words of Krishna, about going within the water, Radha ran and jumped in water
ਤਾਹੀਕੇਪਾਛੈਤੇਸ੍ਯਾਮਪਰੇਕਬਿਕੇਮਨਮੈਉਪਮਾਇਹਆਈ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ (ਕੁੱਦ ਕੇ) ਜਾ ਪਏ। (ਇਸ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਉਪਮਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ।
ਮਾਨਹੁਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਬਾਜਪਰਿਯੋਪਿਖਿਕੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਰਿਕੋਜਿਉਮੁਰਗਾਈ॥੭੫੨॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਗ਼ਾਬੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਰੂਪ ਬਾਜ਼ ਜਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੭੫੨॥
Krishna followed her and according to the poet it seemed that in order to catch the Radha-bird, Krishna-falcon pounced upon her.752.
ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਤਬੈਧਸਿਕੈਜਲਿਮੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਰਿਸੋਊਤਬਜਾਇਗਹੀ॥
ਤਦੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਧਸ ਕੇ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਧਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਕੜ ਲਿਆ।
Swimming in water, Krishna caught hold of Radha ,surrendering her body to Krishna,
ਹਰਿਕੋਤਨਭੇਟਹੁਲਾਸਬਢਿਯੋਗਿਨਤੀਮਨਕੀਜਲਭਾਤਿਬਹੀ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਛੋਹੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਉਤਸਾਹ ਵਧ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਦੁਬਧਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਵਹਿ ਗਈ।
The joy of Radha was increased and the illusions of her mind flowed away like water
ਜੋਊਆਨੰਦਬੀਚਬਢਿਯੋਮਨਕੈਕਬਿਤਉਮੁਖਤੇਕਥਾਭਾਖਿਕਹੀ॥
ਜੋ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਧਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਕਹਿ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਹੈ।
The bliss enhanced in her mind and according to the poet,
ਪਿਖਿਯੋਜਿਨਹੂੰਸੋਊਰੀਝਰਹਿਯੋਪਿਖਿਕੈਜਮੁਨਾਜਿਹਰੀਝਰਹੀ॥੭੫੩॥
(ਉਸ ਜੋੜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਵੀ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੭੫੩॥
Whosoever saw her, he was allured, Yamuna was also charmed.753.
ਜਲਤੇਕਢਿਕੈਫਿਰਿਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਸੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਫਿਰਿਰਾਸਮਚਾਯੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਫਿਰ ਗੋਪੀ (ਰਾਧਾ) ਨੂੰ ਜਲ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਢ ਕੇ, ਫਿਰ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਰਾਸ ਮਚਾਈ ਹੈ।
Coming out of water, Krishna again began to engross himself in the passionate and
ਗਾਵਤਭੀਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਅਤਿਹੀਮਨਭੀਤਰਆਨੰਦਪਾਯੋ॥
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਰਾਧਾ (ਰਾਸ ਵਿਚ) ਗਾਉਣ ਲਗ ਪਈ।
Amorous play alongwith the gopis, Radha, with great joy in her mind, began to sing
ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਰਿਨਸੋਮਿਲਕੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਜੂਸਾਰੰਗਮੈਇਕਤਾਨਬਸਾਯੋ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੰਗ (ਰਾਗ) ਦੀ ਇਕ ਤਰਜ਼ ਵਜਾਈ। ਉ
ਸੋਸੁਨਕੈਮ੍ਰਿਗਆਵਤਧਾਵਤਗ੍ਵਾਰਨੀਆਸੁਨਕੈਸੁਖੁਪਾਯੋ॥੭੫੪॥
ਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਨ ਭਜੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੭੫੪॥
Together with the women of Braja, Krishna played upon a tune in the musical mode of Sarang, hearing which the deer came running and the gopis also felt pleased.754.

ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਉਕਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ (ਤਾਂ) ਕਵੀ ਜਨ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਧ ਲੈਣ ॥੭੫੫॥

ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ।
