ਜੈਸੇਮਾਤਾਪਿਤਾਨਬੀਚਾਰਤਬਿਕਾਰਸੁਤਪੋਖਤਸਪ੍ਰੇਮਬਿਹਸਤਬਿਹਸਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਬਿਗਾੜ ਔਗੁਣ ਨੂੰ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਯਾ ਕਰਦੇ; ਸਗੋਂ ਹੱਸ ਹਸਾਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸਹਤ ਓਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਲਿਆ ਲਡਾਯਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Just as the parents take no notice of the faults of their son and bring him up in happy and pleasant atmosphere.
ਜੈਸੇਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਵੰਤਜੰਤਬੈਦਹਿਬ੍ਰਿਤਾਂਤਕਹੈਪਰਖਪਰੀਖਾਉਪਚਾਰਤਰਸਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਭਾਂਤ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਵੰਤ ਪੀੜਾਵਾਨ ਰੋਗੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਬੈਦ ਹਕੀਮ ਤਾਈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਥ੍ਯਾ ਸੁਣੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਗੋਂ ਰੋਗ ਦੀ ਪਰੀਖ੍ਯਾ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਪਰਖ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰ ਰਸਾਇ ਕੈ ਉਪਚਾਰਤ ਓਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਭਾ ਕੇ = ਔਖਧੀ ਖਾਣ ਦੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਉਪਜਾ ਕੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰ੍ਯਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as a patient suffering from pain explains his ailment to the physician, ignoring his carelessness in maintaining his health, the physician administers medicine lovingly after thorough investigation,
ਚਟੀਆਅਨੇਕਜੈਸੇਏਕਚਟਿਸਾਰਬਿਖੈਬਿਦਿਆਵੰਤਕਰੈਪਾਧਾਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਸੈਪੜਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਚਾਟੜੇ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਾਰਥੀ ਇਕ ਚਟਸਾਲਾ, ਪਾਠਸ਼ਾਲਾ = ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਪਾਂਧਾ ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਯਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਪੜ੍ਹਾ ਪੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਵਿਦ੍ਵਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as there are many students in a school, the teacher does not look into their childish pranks and nuisance but teaches them devotedly to make them knowledgeable,
ਤੈਸੇਗੁਰਸਿਖਨਕੈਅਉਗੁਨਅਵਗਿਆਮੇਟੈਬ੍ਰਹਮਬਿਬੇਕਸੈਸਹਜਸਮਝਾਇਕੈ।੩੭੮।
ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ = ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੀਚਾਰ ਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਸਹਜ ਪਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ ਸਮਝਾ ਕੇ ਵਾ ਸਹਜੇ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਾਇ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਔਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਟ ਦਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੭੮॥
So does the True Guru bless the Sikhs in His refuge with divine knowledge and high state of equipoise, thus obliterating their ill deeds performed in ignorance. (378)
