ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਕੀਰੀਤਿਕਰੀਉਨਸੋਟਸਕ੍ਯੋਨਹੀਯੋਕਸਕ੍ਯੋਨਕਸਾਈ॥੯੨੪॥
(ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਸ਼ਹਿਰਨਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਨਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਦੁਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ) ਪੀੜ ਦੀ ਕਸਕ ਪਈ ਹੈ ॥੯੨੪॥
That Krishna has extended his love to the residents of that city and in doing so, no pain has arisen in his heart.924.
ਫਾਗੁਨਫਾਗੁਬਢਿਯੋਅਨੁਰਾਗਸੁਹਾਗਨਿਭਾਗਸੁਹਾਗਸੁਹਾਈ॥
ਫੱਗਣ (ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿਚ) ਫਾਗ (ਹੋਲੀ) ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਾਂ (ਦੇ ਮਨ) ਵਿਚ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਭਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
In the month of Phalgun, the love for playing Holi has increased in the mind of married women
ਕੇਸਰਚੀਰਬਨਾਇਸਰੀਰਗੁਲਾਬਅੰਬੀਰਗੁਲਾਲਉਡਾਈ॥
ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਕੇਸਰੀ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਬ (ਦਾ ਅਰਕ) ਅਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਲ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
They have worn the red garments and have begun to bleach others with the colours
ਸੋਛਬਿਮੈਨਲਖੀਜਨੁਦ੍ਵਾਦਸਮਾਸਕੀਸੋਭਤਆਗਿਜਗਾਈ॥
ਉਹ ਛਬੀ (ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇੰਜ) ਜਾਣੀ ਹੈ, ਮਾਨੋ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ (ਸੁਤੀ ਹੋਈ) ਕਾਮ ('ਮੈਨ') ਅਗਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਾ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
I have not seen the beautiful spectacle of these twelve months and my mind is burning to see that spectacle
ਆਸਕੋਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਨਿਰਾਸਭਈਟਸਕ੍ਯੋਨਹੀਯੋਕਸਕ੍ਯੋਨਕਸਾਈ॥੯੨੫॥
(ਮੈਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ) ਆਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਨਿਰਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ, (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਨਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਦੁਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ) ਪੀੜ ਦੀ ਖਿਚ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ॥੯੨੫॥
I have abandoned all hopes and have become disappointed, but in the heart of that butcher, no pang or pain has arisen.925.
ਇਤਿਸ੍ਰੀਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਨਾਟਕੇਗ੍ਰੰਥੇਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇਬ੍ਰਿਹਨਾਟਕਬਾਰਹਮਾਹਸੰਪੂਰਨਮਸਤੁ॥
ਇਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾਵਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਬਿਰਹ ਨਾਟਕ ਦਾ ਬਾਰਹਮਾਹ ਸਮਾਪਤ।

(ਹੇ ਸਖੀ!) ਸੁਣ, ਇਸੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅਸਾਂ ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖੇਡੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
O friend! listen, with the same Krishna we have been absorbed in the much-publicised amorous play in the alcoves
ਗਾਵਤਭਯੋਸੋਊਠਉਰਤਹਾਹਮਹੂੰਮਿਲਕੈਤਹਮੰਗਲਗਾਯੋ॥
ਉਹ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਥੇ ਮੰਗਲਮਈ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਏ ਸਨ।
Wherever he used to sing, we also sang songs of praise with him
ਸੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਯੋਮਥੁਰਾਇਨਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਤੇਮਨੂਆਉਚਟਾਯੋ॥
ਉਹ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਮਨ ਉਚਾਟ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
The mind of that Krishna has become inattentive towards these gopis and having relinquished Braja, he has gone to Matura
ਯੌਕਹਿਊਧਵਸੋਤਿਨਟੇਰਿਹਹਾਹਮਰੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਨਆਯੋ॥੯੨੬॥
ਊਧਵ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹਾਇ ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੯੨੬॥
They said all these things, looking towards Udhava and also said regretting that Krishna had not come to their homes again.926.
ਗੋਪਿਨਬਾਚਊਧਵਸੋ॥
ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਊਧਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਹੇ ਊਧਵ! ਸੁਣ, ਇਕ ਵਾਰ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਲ ਲਈ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
“O Udhava! there was a time when Krishna used to take us alongwith him and roamed in the alvoces
ਹਰਿਜੂਅਤਿਹੀਹਿਤਸਾਥਘਨੇਹਮਪੈਅਤਿਹੀਕਹਿਯੋਪ੍ਰੇਮਕੀਯੇ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਚਨ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
He gave profound love to us
ਤਿਨਕੇਬਸਿਗਯੋਹਮਰੋਮਨਹ੍ਵੈਅਤਿਹੀਸੁਖੁਭਯੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਰਿਹੀਯੇ॥
ਸਾਡਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਦੇ ਵਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
“Our mind was under the control of that Krishna and all the women of Braja were in extreme comfort
ਅਬਸੋਤਜਿਕੈਮਥਰਾਕੋਗਯੋਤਿਹਕੇਬਿਛੁਰੇਫਲੁਕਵਨਜੀਯੇ॥੯੨੭॥
ਹੁਣ ਉਹ (ਸਾਨੂੰ) ਛਡ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਜੀਉਣ ਦਾ (ਭਲਾ) ਕੀ ਫਲ ਹੈ ॥੯੨੭॥
Now the same Krishna has abandoned us and gone to Matura, how can we survive without that Krishna?”927.

ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਪੈਜਿਤਨੀਫੁਨਿਊਧਵਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਹਰਿਬਾਤਬਖਾਨੀ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਊਧਵ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਤਨੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
Udhava talked to the gopis all the things about Krishna
ਗ੍ਯਾਨਕੋਉਤਰਦੇਤਭਈਨਹਿਪ੍ਰੇਮਚਿਤਾਰਸਭੇਉਚਰਾਨੀ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਉੱਤਰ ਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਰਹੀਆਂ।
They did not say anything in respone to his words of wisdom and only uttered their language of love:
ਜਾਹੀਕੇਦੇਖਤਭੋਜਨਖਾਤਸਖੀਜਿਹਕੇਬਿਨੁਪੀਤਨਪਾਨੀ॥
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀਂਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਂ।
ਗ੍ਯਾਨਕੀਜੋਇਨਬਾਤਕਹੀਤਿਨਹੂੰਹਿਤਸੋਕਰਿਏਕਨਜਾਨੀ॥੯੨੮॥
ਇਸ (ਊਧਵ) ਨੇ ਹਿਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਨਾ ਮੰਨੀ ॥੯੨੮॥
Krishna, seeing whom, they used to take their meals and did not even drink water without him, whatever Udhava said to them about him in his wisdom, the gopis did not accept anything.928.
