ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਊਧਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਮਿਲਕੈਤਿਨਊਧਵਸੰਗਿਕਹਿਯੋਹਰਿਸੋਸੁਨਊਧਵਯੌਕਹੀਯੋ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ) ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਊਧਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਊਧਵ! ਸੁਣ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣਾ।
ਕਹਿਕੈਕਰਿਊਧਵਗ੍ਯਾਨਜਿਤੋਪਠਿਯੋਤਿਤਨੋਸਭਹੀਗਹੀਯੋ॥
ਊਧਵ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਵੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ, (ਅਸੀਂ) ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
All of them collectively said to Udhava, “O Udhava! you may talk to Krishna like this that all the words of wisdom that he had sent through you, have been imbibed by us
ਸਭਹੀਇਨਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਪੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹਿਯੋਹਿਤਆਖਨਸੋਚਹੀਯੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਨਕੋਤੁਮਤਿਆਗਗਏਮਥੁਰਾਹਮਰੀਸੁਧਿਲੇਤਸਦਾਰਹੀਯੋ॥੯੨੯॥
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹੋ, (ਪਰ) ਸਾਡੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸਾਰ ਸਦਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ॥੯੨੯॥
“O Udhava! taking into consideration our welfare, tell it definitely to Krishna that forsaking us he had gone to Matura, but there also he should keep in touch with us.”929.
ਜਬਊਧਵਸੋਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਤਬਊਧਵਕੋਮਨਪ੍ਰੇਮਭਰਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਜਦ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਊਧਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤਦ ਊਧਵ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।
When gopis said all this to Udhava, he was then also filled with love
ਅਉਰਗਈਸੁਧਿਭੂਲਸਭੈਮਨਤੇਸਭਗ੍ਯਾਨਹੁਤੋਸੁਟਰਿਯੋਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੁਧ ਬੁਧ ਭੁਲ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਗਿਆਨ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
He lost his consciousness and the brilliance of wisdom ended in his mind
ਸੋਮਿਲਿਕੈਸੰਗਿਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਕੇਅਤਿਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਕੀਬਾਤਕੇਸੰਗਿਢਰਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਉਹ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਗ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਢਲ ਗਿਆ। (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ)
ਗ੍ਯਾਨਕੇਡਾਰਮਨੋਕਪਰੇਹਿਤਕੀਸਰਿਤਾਹਿਤਮਹਿਕੂਦਪਰਿਯੋਹੈ॥੯੩੦॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਕਪੜੇ ਉਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਨਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਦ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੯੩੦॥
He also began to talk about love in the company of gopis and it appeared that he had put off the clothes of wisdom and had plunged into the stream of love.930.
ਯੌਕਹਿਸੰਗਿਗੁਆਰਨਿਕੇਜਬਹੀਸਭਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਕੋਹਿਤਚੀਨੋ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਏ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ।
When Udhava recognised the love of gopis, he also began to converse with the gopis about love
ਊਧਵਗ੍ਯਾਨਦਯੋਤਜਿਕੈਮਨਮੈਜਬਪ੍ਰੇਮਕੋਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਕੀਨੋ॥
ਊਧਵ ਨੇ (ਤਦ) ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਸਾ ਲਿਆ।
Udhava gathered love in his mind and abandoned his wisdom
ਹੋਇਗਯੋਤਨਮੈਹਿਤਸੋਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਸੁਕਰਿਯੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਹੀਨੋ॥
(ਉਹ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਾ ਕਿ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੰਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
His mind was fille with love to such an extent that he also said that on forsaking Braja, Krishna had made Braja very poor
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਏਤੁਮਕੋਮਥਰਾਤਿਹਤੇਹਰਿਕਾਮਸਖੀਘਟਕੀਨੋ॥੯੩੧॥
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮਾੜਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੯੩੧॥
But O friend! the day when Krishna went to Mathura, his sexual instinct has deteriorated.931.
ਊਧਵਬਾਚਗੋਪਿਨਸੋ॥
ਊਧਵ ਨੇ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਜਾਇਕੈਹਉਮਥਰਾਮੈਸਖੀਹਰਿਤੇਤੁਮਲਯੈਬੇਕੋਦੂਤਪਠੈਹੋਂ॥
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਮਥੁਰਾ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਤ ਭਿਜਵਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
“O young damsels! on reaching Matura, I shall cause to send an envoy through Krishna to take you to Mathura
ਬੀਤਤਜੋਤੁਮਪੈਬਿਰਥਾਸਭਹੀਜਦੁਰਾਇਕੇਪਾਸਕਹੈਹੋਂ॥
ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦੁਖ ਭਰੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਬੀਤ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਸੁਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
Whatever difficulties experiencing, I shall relate them to Krishna
ਕੈਤੁਮਰੀਬਿਨਤੀਉਹਪੈਬਿਧਿਜਾਰਿਝਹੈਬਿਧਿਤਾਰਿਝਵੈਹੋਂ॥
ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲਗੇਗੀ, ਕਹਿ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
“I shall try to please Krishna in any possible way after conveying your request
ਪਾਇਨਪੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਹਰਿਕੌਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੀਤਰਫੇਰਿਲਿਯੈਹੋਂ॥੯੩੨॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਮੈਂ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੯੩੨॥
I shall bring him again to Braja even falling at his feet.”932.
ਯੌਜਬਊਧਵਬਾਤਕਹੀਉਠਿਪਾਇਨਲਾਗਤਭੀਤਬਸੋਊ॥
ਊਧਵ ਨੇ ਜਦ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ, ਤਦ ਉਹ (ਸਾਰੀਆਂ) ਉਠ ਕੇ (ਊਧਵ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਈਆਂ।
When Udhava said these words, all the gopis arose to touch his feet
ਦੂਖਘਟਿਓਤਿਨਕੇਮਨਤੇਅਤਿਹੀਮਨਭੀਤਰਆਨੰਦਹੋਊ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਦੁਖ ਘਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਧ ਗਿਆ।
The sorrow of their mind was decreased and their inner happiness increased
ਕੈਬਿਨਤੀਸੰਗਿਊਧਵਕੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਬਿਧਿਯਾਉਚਰੋਊ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਊਧਵ ਅਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੋਜਾਇਕੈਯੌਕਹੀਯੋਕਰਿਕੈਕਹਿਯੋਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਨਤ੍ਯਾਗਤਕੋਊ॥੯੩੩॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਸ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣਾ (ਕਿ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ) ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਤਿਆਗਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੯੩੩॥
Imploring Udhava, they said, “O Udhava! when you go there you may tell Krishna that after falling in love, no one forsakes it.933.
ਕੁੰਜਗਲੀਨਮੈਖੇਲਤਹੀਸਭਹੀਮਨਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਕੋਹਰਿਓ॥
ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਖੇਡਦਿਆਂ ਖੇਡਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਜਿਤ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨਕੇਹਿਤਲੋਗਨਹਾਸਸਹਿਯੋਜਿਨਕੇਹਿਤਸਤ੍ਰਨਸੋਲਰਿਓ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਾਸਾ ਸਹਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਲਈ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇ ਹੋ।
“O Krishna, while playing in alcoves, you allured the mind of all gopis, for which you endured the ridicule of the people and for whom you fought with the enemies.”
ਸੰਗਿਊਧਵਕੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਬਿਨਤੀਕਰਿਕੈਇਮਉਚਰਿਓ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ) ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਊਧਵ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ।
ਹਮਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਏਬ੍ਰਿਜਮੈਮਥਰਾਤਿਹਤੇਤੁਮਕਾਮਬੁਰੋਕਰਿਓ॥੯੩੪॥
ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਵਿਚ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹੋ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਾੜਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੯੩੪॥
The gopis say this, while imploring Udhava, “O Krishna! on abandoning us, you went away to Matura, this was your very bad act.934.
ਬ੍ਰਿਜਬਾਸਨਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਏਮਥੁਰਾਪੁਰਬਾਸਿਨਕੇਰਸਭੀਤਰਪਾਗਿਓ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਗਏ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹੋ।
“Forsaking the residents of Braja, you went away and absorbed yourself in the love of the residents of Matura
ਪ੍ਰੇਮਜਿਤੋਪਰਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਥੋਉਨਸੰਗਿਰਚੇਇਨਤੇਸਭਭਾਗਿਓ॥
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਸ਼ਹਿਰਨਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਰਚ ਮਿਚ ਕੇ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ (ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
All the love that you had with the gopis, the same has now been relinquished,
ਦੈਤੁਹਿਹਾਥਿਸੁਨੋਬਤੀਯਾਹਮਜੋਗਕੇਭੇਖਪਠਾਵਨਲਾਗਿਓ॥
(ਹੇ ਊਧਵ! ਸਾਡੀਆਂ) ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੋ, ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੋਗ ਦਾ ਭੇਸ ਭੇਜਣ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ।
“And it is now associated with the residents of Matura
ਤਾਸੰਗਿਊਧਵਯੌਕਹੀਯੋਹਰਿਜੂਤੁਮਪ੍ਰੇਮਸਭੈਅਬਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਓ॥੯੩੫॥
ਹੇ ਊਧਵ! ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣਾ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੯੩੫॥
O Udhava! he has sent to us the guise of yoga, O Udhava! tell Krishna that he has no love left for us.”935.
ਊਧਵਜੋਤਜਿਕੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੋਚਲਿਕੈਜਬਹੀਮਥੁਰਾਪੁਰਿਜਈਯੈ॥
ਹੇ ਊਧਵ! ਜਦੋਂ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
ਪੈਅਪੁਨੇਚਿਤਮੈਹਿਤਕੈਹਮਓਰਤੇਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੇਪਾਇਨਪਈਯੈ॥
ਫਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈਣਾ
“O Udhava! after leaving Braja, when you go to Matura, then fall at his feet with love from our side
ਕੈਅਤਿਹੀਬਿਨਤੀਤਿਹਪੈਫਿਰਕੈਇਹਭਾਤਿਸੋਉਤਰਦਈਯੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਅਸਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਾ।
“Then tell him with great humility that if one falls in love, he should carry it till the end
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਨਿਬਾਹੀਯੈਤਉਕਰੀਯੈਪਰਯੌਨਹੀਕਾਹੂੰਸੋਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਕਰਈਯੈ॥੯੩੬॥
ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਿਭਾਉਣੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰੀਏ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ॥੯੩੬॥
If one cannot do it, then what is the use of falling in love.936.
ਊਧਵਮੋਸੁਨਲੈਬਤੀਯਾਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੋਧ੍ਯਾਨਜਬੈਕਰਿਹੋਂ॥
ਹੇ ਊਧਵ! ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਲੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ
“O Udhava! listen to us
ਬਿਰਹਾਤਬਆਇਕੈਮੋਹਿਗ੍ਰਸੈਤਿਹਕੇਗ੍ਰਸਏਨਜੀਯੋਮਰਿਹੋਂ॥
ਤਦ ਬਿਰਹੋਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਕੜ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ (ਮੈਂ) ਜੀਉਂਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਮਰੀ ਹੋਈ।
Whenever we meditate on Krishna, then the pangs of the fire of separation greatly afflict us, by which we are neither alive nor dead
ਨਕਛੂਸੁਧਿਮੋਤਨਮੈਰਹਿਹੈਧਰਨੀਪਰਹ੍ਵੈਬਿਸੁਧੀਝਰਿਹੋਂ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਸੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਬੇਸੁਧ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
“We do not even have the consciousness of our body and we fall unconscious on the ground
ਤਿਹਤੇਹਮਕੋਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਕਹੀਐਕਿਹਭਾਤਿਸੋਧੀਰਜਹਉਧਰਿਹੋਂ॥੯੩੭॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾੜੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਬਾਰੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ) ਕਹਿ ਦੇਣਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧੀਰਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਾਂ ॥੯੩੭॥
How to describe our perplexity to him? You may tell us how we can remain patient.”937.
ਦੀਨਹ੍ਵੈਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਸੋਊਕਹੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੁਥੀਅਤਿਹੀਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਓਹੀ ਹੁਣ ਆਜਿਜ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Those gopis who remined proud earlier, they said these things in great humility
ਕੰਚਨਸੇਤਨਕੰਜਮੁਖੀਜੋਊਰੂਪਬਿਖੈਰਤਿਕੀਫੁਨਿਸਾਨੀ॥
(ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਮੁਖੜੇ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ 'ਰਤਿ' (ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ) ਦੇ ਤੁਲ ਸਨ।
They are the same gopis, whose body was like gold, the face like lotus-flower and who were like Rati in beauty
ਯੌਕਹੈਬ੍ਯਾਕੁਲਹ੍ਵੈਬਤੀਯਾਕਬਿਨੇਤਿਹਕੀਉਪਮਾਪਹਿਚਾਨੀ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ (ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼) ਦੀ ਇਹ ਉਪਮਾ ਲਭੀ ਹੈ।
ਊਧਵਗ੍ਵਾਰਨੀਯਾਸਫਰੀਸਭਨਾਮਲੈਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੋਜੀਵਤਪਾਨੀ॥੯੩੮॥
ਹੇ ਊਧਵ! ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜੀਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੯੩੮॥
They are saying these things, getting distempered and according to the poet they appear like fish to Udhava, who can only survive in the water of Krishna.938.
ਆਤੁਰਹ੍ਵੈਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਸੰਗਿਊਧਵਕੇਸੁਕਹਿਯੋਇਮਬੈਨਾ॥
ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਾਧਾ ਨੇ ਊਧਵ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਕਹੇ।
ਭੂਖਨਭੋਜਨਧਾਮਜਿਤੋਹਮਕੇਜਦੁਬੀਰਬਿਨਾਸੁਰੁਚੈਨਾ॥
ਗਹਿਣੇ, ਭੋਜਨ, ਅਤੇ ਘਰ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਜੋ ਵੀ ਹੈ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦਾ।
Getting agitated, Radha said this to Udhava, “O Udhava! we do not like the ornaments, food, houses etc. without Krishna,”
ਯੌਂਕਹਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਬਿਯੋਗਬਿਖੈਬਸਿਗੇਕਬਿਨੇਜਸਯੌਉਚਰੈਨਾ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ (ਨੈਣ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਯੋਗ ਦੇ ਵਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਯਸ਼ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
Saying this Radha felt pangs of separation and also felt extreme hardship even in weeping
ਰੋਵਤਭੀਅਤਿਹੀਦੁਖਸੋਜੁਹੁਤੇਮਨੋਬਾਲਕੇਕੰਜਨਨੈਨਾ॥੯੩੯॥
ਬਾਲਿਕਾ (ਰਾਧਾ) ਦੇ ਕਮਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਜੋ ਨੈਣ ਸਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਦੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਣ ਲਗ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੯੩੯॥
The eyes of that young damsel appeared like the lotus-flower.939.
