ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਅਤਿਪ੍ਰੇਮਛਕੀਮਨਮੈਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੋਧਿਆਨਲਗੈਕੈ॥
ਰਾਧਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਗਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਰੋਵਤਭੀਅਤਿਹੀਦੁਖਸੋਸੰਗਕਾਜਰਨੀਰਗਿਰਿਯੋਢਰਕੈਕੈ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੋਣ ਲਗ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਝੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਜਲਾ ਵੀ ਢਲ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
Being deeply absorbed in the love of Krishna, Radha began to weep in great affliction and with her tears, the antimony of the eyes also came out
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਜਸੁਉਚਮਹਾਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹਿਯੋਮੁਖਤੇਉਮਗੈਕੈ॥
ਉਸ ਛਬੀ ਦਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਯਸ਼ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਮਗ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ।
ਚੰਦਹਿਕੋਜੁਕਲੰਕਹੁਤੋਮਨੋਨੈਨਨਿਪੈਡਚਲ੍ਯੋਨਿਚੁਰੈਕੈ॥੯੪੦॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਿਆ ਕਲੰਕ ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਨਿਚੁੜ ਚਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੯੪੦॥
The poet, getting pleased in his mind, says that the black blemish of the moon, being washed, is flowing with the water of the eyes.940.
ਗਹਿਧੀਰਜਊਧਵਸੋਬਚਨਾਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਇਹਭਾਤਿਉਚਾਰੇ॥
ਧੀਰਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਰਾਧਾ ਨੇ ਊਧਵ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ।
ਨੇਹੁਤਜਿਯੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਬਾਸਨਸੋਤਿਹਤੇਕਛੂਜਾਨਤਦੋਖਬਿਚਾਰੇ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਵਾਸੀ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਹੁੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਸੋਚ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਚ) ਕੁਝ ਦੋਸ਼ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Getting strength of endurance with her talk with Udhava, Radha said, “Perhaps Krishna has forsaken his love for the residents of Braja on account of some flaw
ਬੈਠਿਗਏਰਥਭੀਤਰਆਪਨਹੀਇਨਕੀਸੋਊਓਰਿਨਿਹਾਰੇ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਆਪ ਰਥ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਲ ਤਕਿਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
“While going away, he sat silently in the chariot and did not even look towards the residents of Braja
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਏਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੋਮਥੁਰਾਹਮਜਾਨਤਹੈਘਟਭਾਗਹਮਾਰੇ॥੯੪੧॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ (ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ) ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਮਾੜੇ ਹਨ ॥੯੪੧॥
We know that this is our misfortune that relinquishing Braja, Krishna has gone to Matura.941.
ਜਬਜੈਹੋਕਹਿਯੋਮਥੁਰਾਕੈਬਿਖੈਹਰਿਪੈਹਮਰੀਬਿਨਤੀਇਹਕੀਜੋ॥
(ਹੇ ਊਧਵ!) ਜਦੋਂ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਓਗੇ, (ਤਾਂ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਇਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨਾ।
“O Udhava! When you go to Matura, then make a supplication to him from our side
ਪਾਇਨਕੋਗਹਿਕੈਰਹੀਯੋਘਟਕਾਦਸਜੋਮੁਹਿਨਾਮਹਿਲੀਜੋ॥
ਦਸ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਤਕ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰ ਪਕੜੀ ਰਖਣਾ, ਫਿਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਂ ਲੈਣਾ,
Lie prostrate at the feet of Krishna for a few hours and continue shouting my name
ਤਾਹੀਕੇਪਾਛੇਤੇਮੋਬਤੀਯਾਸੁਨਿਲੈਇਹਭਾਤਹਿਸੋਉਚਰੀਜੋ॥
ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣਾ।
ਜਾਨਤਹੋਹਿਤਤ੍ਯਾਗਗਏਕਬਹੂੰਹਮਰੇਹਿਤਕੇਸੰਗਭੀਜੋ॥੯੪੨॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ, (ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਸਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਛਡ ਗਏ ਹੋ, ਪਰ ਕਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਭਿਜ ਜਾਓ ॥੯੪੨॥
“After this tell him this from my side, ‘O Krishna! you have relinquished love for us, now absorb yourself in love with us sometime again.’ “942.
ਊਧਵਕੋਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਸੁਤਾਬਚਨਾਇਹਭਾਤਿਸੋਉਚਰਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਊਧਵ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਧਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਤਿਆਗਦਈਜਬਅਉਰਕਥਾਮਨਜਉਸੰਗਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੇਪ੍ਰੇਮਭਰਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਜਦ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਥਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
Radha spoke to Udhava in this manner, “O Udhava! absorbing myself in the love of Krishna, I have forsaken everything else
ਤਾਸੰਗਸੋਊਕਹੋਬਤੀਯਾਬਨਮੈਹਮਰੋਜੋਊਸੰਗਿਅਰਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਓਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹਿ ਦੇਣਾ ਜੋ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੜ ਖੜੋਤਾ ਸੀ।
“Remind him about my displeasure in the forest saying that I had exhibited great persistence with you
ਮੈਤੁਮਰੇਸੰਗਿਮਾਨਕਰਿਯੋਤੁਮਹੂੰਹਮਰੇਸੰਗਮਾਨਕਰਿਯੋਹੈ॥੯੪੩॥
(ਉਦੋਂ) ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਸਾ ('ਮਾਨ') ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, (ਹੁਣ) ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਸਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੯੪੩॥
Are you now showing the same persistence with me? 943.
ਬਨਮੈਹਮਰੋਸੰਗਿਕੇਲਕਰੇਮਨਮੈਅਬਸੋਜਦੁਬੀਰਚਿਤਾਰੋ॥
ਬਨ ਵਿਚ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖੇਡੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਹੁਣ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋ।
“O hero of Yadavas! remember those occasions, when you indulged in amorous sport with me in the forest
ਮੋਰੇਜੁਸੰਗਿਕਹੀਬਤੀਯਾਹਿਤਕੀਸੋਈਅਪਨੇਚਿਤਨਿਹਾਰੋ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖੋ।
Remember the talk of love in your mind
ਤਾਹੀਕੋਧ੍ਯਾਨਕਰੋਕਿਹਹੇਤਤਜਿਯੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਔਮਥੁਰਾਕੋਪਧਾਰੋ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰੋ। ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹੋ।
ਜਾਨਤਹੈਤੁਮਰੋਕਛੁਦੋਸਨਹੀਕਛੁਹੈਘਟਭਾਗਹਮਾਰੋ॥੯੪੪॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਮਾੜੇ ਭਾਗ ਹਨ ॥੯੪੪॥
“Thinking about that, please tell me the reason why you have relinquished Braja and gone to Matura? I know that you are not at fault in doing this, but our fortune is not good.”944.
ਯੌਸੁਨਿਉਤਰਦੇਤਭਯੋਊਧਵਪ੍ਰੀਤਿਘਨੀਹਰਿਕੀਸੰਗਤੇਰੈ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਊਧਵ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਨਿਘੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਹੈ।
Hearing these words, Udhava replied, “O Radha! the love of Krishna with you is extremely profound
ਜਾਨਤਹੋਅਬਆਵਤਹੈਉਪਜੈਇਹਚਿੰਤਕਹਿਯੋਮਨਮੇਰੈ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ (ਉਹ) ਆਵੇਗਾ (ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਇਹ ਸੋਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
My mind says that he will come now,”
ਕਿਉਮਥਰਾਤਜਿਆਵਤਹੈਜੁਫਿਰੈਨਹਿਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਕੇਫੁਨਿਫੇਰੈ॥
ਉਹ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੋੜਨ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੜਿਆ ਸੀ।
Radha says again that Krishna did not stop at the behest of the gopis, what can now be his purpose of leaving Mathura and coming here?
ਜਾਨਤਹੈਹਮਰੇਘਟਿਭਾਗਨਆਵਤਹੈਹਰਿਜੂਫਿਰਿਡੇਰੈ॥੯੪੫॥
(ਰਾਧਾ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੀ ਮੈਂ) ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਮਾੜੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਫਿਰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਗੇ ॥੯੪੫॥
He did not stop at our bidding and if he now returns to his house, then we shall not agree that our fortune is not so forceful.945.
ਯੌਕਹਿਰੋਵਤਭੀਲਲਨਾਅਪਨੇਮਨਮੈਅਤਿਸੋਕਬਢਾਯੋ॥
ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਲਲਨਾ (ਰਾਧਾ) ਰੋਣ ਲਗ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ੋਕ ਵਧਾ ਲਿਆ।
Saying thus, Radha in great grief, began to weep bitterly
ਝੂਮਿਗਿਰੀਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀਪਰਸੋਹ੍ਰਿਦੈਆਨੰਦਥੋਤਿਤਨੋਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ॥
ਘੁੰਮੇਰੀ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਈ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਜਿਤਨਾ) ਆਨੰਦ ਸੀ, ਉਹ (ਸਾਰਾ) ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Forsaking the happiness of her heart, she became unconscious and fell down upon the earth
ਭੂਲਗਈਸੁਧਿਅਉਰਸਬੈਹਰਿਕੇਮਨਧ੍ਯਾਨਬਿਖੈਤਿਨਲਾਯੋ॥
ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੁਧ-ਬੁਧ ਭੁਲ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
She forgot all other things and her mind was absorbed in Krishna
ਯੌਕਹਿਊਧਵਸੋਤਿਨਿਟੇਰਿਹਹਾਹਮਰੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਨਆਯੋ॥੯੪੬॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਊਧਵ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹਾਇ, ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਅਜੇ ਤਕ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੯੪੬॥
She again said loudly to Udhava, “Alas! Krishna has not come to my house.946.
ਜਾਹੀਕੇਸੰਗਿਸੁਨੋਮਿਲਕੈਹਮਕੁੰਜਗਲੀਨਮੈਖੇਲਮਚਾਯੋ॥
(ਹੇ ਊਧਵ!) ਸੁਣੋ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖੇਡੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਗਾਵਤਭਯੋਸੋਊਠਉਰਤਹਾਹਮਹੂੰਮਿਲਕੈਤਹਮੰਗਲਗਾਯੋ॥
ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਗਾਉਣ ਲਗ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਾਂ ਵੀ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੰਗਲਮਈ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
“He, with whom we sported in the alcoves and together with him, we used to sing songs of praise,
ਸੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਏਮਥੁਰਾਇਨਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਤੇਮਨੂਆਉਚਟਾਯੋ॥
ਉਹ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਨ ਉਚਾਟ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
“The same Krishna, relinquishing Braja has gone to Matura and his mind is displeased with the gopis
ਯੌਕਹਿਊਧਵਸੋਤਿਨਟੇਰਿਹਹਾਹਮਰੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਨਆਯੋ॥੯੪੭॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਊਧਵ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹਾਇ, (ਅਜੇ ਤਕ) ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ॥੯੪੭॥
” Saying thus, Radha said to Udhava, “Alas! Krishna has not come to my house.947.
ਬ੍ਰਿਜਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਯੋਮਥਰਾਕੋਸੋਊਮਨਤੇਸਭਹੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਿਬਿਸਾਰੀ॥
ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ (ਅਸਾਂ) ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
“He relinquished Braja and went to Matura and the lord of Braja forgot everyone
ਸੰਗਿਰਚੇਪੁਰਬਾਸਿਨਕੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਸੋਊਜਾਨਿਪਿਆਰੀ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸ਼ਹਿਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਚ-ਮਿਚ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
He was engrossed in the love of the residents of the city
ਊਧਵਜੂਸੁਨੀਯੈਬਿਰਥਾਤਿਹਤੇਅਤਿਬ੍ਯਾਕੁਲਭੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਰੀ॥
ਹੇ ਊਧਵ ਜੀ! (ਸਾਡੀ) ਦੁਖ ਭਰੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਸੁਣੋ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤਿ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਕੰਚੁਰੀਜਿਉਅਹਿਰਾਜਤਜੈਤਿਹਭਾਤਿਤਜੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਰਮੁਰਾਰੀ॥੯੪੮॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੱਪ ਕੁੰਜ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ-ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੯੪੮॥
“O Udhava! listen, the women of Braja have been worrying so much because Krishna has forsaken them just as the snake abandons its slough.”948.
ਊਧਵਕੇਫਿਰਿਸੰਗਕਹਿਯੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨਜਈਹੈ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰਾਧਾ ਨੇ ਊਧਵ ਨਾਲ ਫਿਰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਕਿਹਾ,
ਜਾਮੁਖਕੇਸਮਚੰਦ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਭਾਜੁਤਿਹੂੰਪੁਰਮਾਨਹੁਰੂਪਮਈਹੈ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਵਰਗੀ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਰੂਪਮਈ ਹੈ।
Radha said again to Udhava, “He, the glory of whose face is like the moon and who is donor of beauty to all the three worlds.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਗਯੋਤਜਿਕੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਕੋਤਿਹਤੇਅਤਿਬ੍ਯਾਕੁਲਚਿਤਭਈਹੈ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਉਸੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹ) ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੈ।
“That Krishna relinquished Braja and went away
ਜਾਦਿਨਕੇਮਥੁਰਾਮੈਗਏਬਿਨੁਤ੍ਵੈਹਮਰੀਸੁਧਿਹੂੰਨਲਈਹੈ॥੯੪੯॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਮਥੁਰਾ ਵਿਚ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਈ ॥੯੪੯॥
This is the reason why we are worried, the day on which Krihsna abandoned Braja and went to Mathura, O Udhava! none except you has come to enquire about us.949.
ਜਾਦਿਨਕੇਬ੍ਰਿਜਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਏਬਿਨਤ੍ਵੈਕੋਊਮਾਨਸਹੂੰਨਪਠਾਯੋ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ (ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ) ਨੂੰ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ) ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
“Since the day on which Krishna left Braja, he has sent none other except you
ਹੇਤਜਿਤੋਇਨਊਪਰਥੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਤਿਤਨੋਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ) ਉਪਰ ਜਿਤਨਾ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Whatever love he had extended to us, he has forgotton all that,” according to the poet Shyam he himself had been engrossed with the people of the city of Mathura,
ਆਪਰਚੇਪੁਰਬਾਸਿਨਸੋਇਨਕੋਦੁਖੁਦੈਉਨਕੋਰਿਝਵਾਯੋ॥
ਆਪ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਚ ਮਿਚ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਝਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
And in order to please them, he has harraseds the people of Braja
ਤਾਸੰਗਜਾਇਕੋਯੌਕਹੀਯੋਹਰਿਜੀਤੁਮਰੇਕਹੁਕਾਜੀਯਆਯੋ॥੯੫੦॥
(ਹੇ ਊਧਵ!) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਸ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ! ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕੀ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੯੫੦॥
“O Udhava! When you go there, kindly tell him, “O Krishna! what had occurred in your mind that you did all that.’950.
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਗਏਮਥੁਰਾਬ੍ਰਿਜਕਉਚਲਿਕੈਫਿਰਿਆਪਨਹੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਆਏ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ) ਬ੍ਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹੋ, (ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ) ਆਪ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਏ ਹੋ।
“Leaving Braja, he went to Mathura and from that day to this day he has not returned to Braja
ਸੰਗਿਰਚੇਪੁਰਬਾਸਿਨਕੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਮਨਆਨੰਦਪਾਏ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਸ਼ਹਿਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਚ ਮਿਚ ਗਏ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।
Being pleased, he is absorbed with the residents of Mathura
ਦੈਗਯੋਹੈਇਨਕੋਦੁਖਊਧਵਪੈਮਨਮੈਨਹੁਲਾਸਬਢਾਏ॥
ਹੇ ਊਧਵ! ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਦੁਖ ਦੇ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ (ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਵਧਿਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
“He did not increase the happiness of the inhabitants of Braja, but gave them only sufferings
ਆਪਨਥੇਬ੍ਰਿਜਮੈਉਪਜੇਇਨਸੋਸੁਭਏਛਿਨਬੀਚਪਰਾਏ॥੯੫੧॥
ਉਹ ਆਪ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬ੍ਰਜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਪਜੇ ਸਨ, (ਇਸ ਲਈ) ਉਹ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਾਏ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੯੫੧॥
Krishna born in Braja was our own, but now in an instant he belongs to others.”951.
