ਸਾਜਿਯੋਕਵਚਨਿਖੰਗਧਨੁਖਬਾਨੁਲੈਰਥਿਚਢਿਯੋ॥੧੦੩੪॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕਵਚ ਸਜਾ ਲਿਆ; ਭਥਾ, ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੦੩੪॥
All the four divisions of the army of Jarasandh were ready and the king himself mounted on the chariot taking his armour, quiver, bow and arrows etc.1034.

ਜੋਰਿਚਮੂੰਸਬਮੰਤ੍ਰਲੈਤਬਯੌਰਨਸਾਜਸਮਾਜਬਨਾਯੋ॥
ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤਦ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਜ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ।
Taking alongwith him all the four divisions of his army and his ministers, the king launched the vicious war
ਤੇਈਸਛੂਹਨਲੈਦਲਸੰਗਿਬਜਾਇਕੈਬੰਬਤਹਾਕਹੁਧਾਯੋ॥
ਤੇਈ ਅਛੋਹਣੀਆਂ ਸੈਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨਗਾਰਾ ਬਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਧਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਸ ਚਲਿਆ,
He moved with dreadful tundering alongwith his twenty-three units of huge armies
ਬੀਰਬਡੇਸਮਰਾਵਨਕੇਤਿਨਕਉਸੰਗਲੈਮਰਿਬੇਕਹੁਆਯੋ॥
(ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਰਾਵਣ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
He reached alongwith powerful Ravana like heroes
ਮਾਨਹੁਕਾਲਪ੍ਰਲੈਦਿਨਬਾਰਿਧਫੈਲਪਰਿਯੋਜਲੁਯੌਦਲੁਛਾਯੋ॥੧੦੩੫॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸੈਨਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਸਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ, ਮਾਨੋ ਪਰਲੋ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਖਿਲਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੦੩੫॥
His forces were spread like the sea at the time of dissolution.1035.
ਨਗਮਾਨਹੁਨਾਗਬਡੇਤਿਹਮੈਮਛੁਰੀਪੁਨਿਪੈਦਲਕੀਬਲਜੇਤੀ॥
ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਮਾਨੋ ਪਰਬਤ ਹੋਣ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਫਿਰ ਮਛਲੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ।
Huge warriors are powerful like the mountains and Sheshanaga
ਚਕ੍ਰਮਨੋਰਥਚਕ੍ਰਬਨੇਉਪਜੀਕਵਿਕੈਮਨਮੈਕਹੀਤੇਤੀ॥
ਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੱਕੇ (ਪਹੀਏ) ਮਾਨੋ ਘੁੰਮਣਘੇਰੀਆਂ (ਅਰਥਾਂਤਰ ਕਛੂ) ਹੋਣ, ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਜਿਤਨੀ ਉਪਮਾ) ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ, ਉਤਨੀ ਹੀ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
The army of Jarasandh on foot is like the fish in the sea, the wheels of the chariots of the army are like sharp discs,
ਹੈਭਏਬੋਚਨਤੁਲਿਮਨੋਲਹਰੈਬਹਰੈਬਰਛੀਦੁਤਿਸੇਤੀ॥
ਘੋੜੇ ਮਾਨੋ ਮਗਰਮੱਛ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਛੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਹੋਣ।
And the flash of the daggers of the soldiers and their movement is like thecrocodiles of the sea
ਸਿੰਧੁਕਿਧੌਦਲਸੰਧਿਜਰਾਰਹਿਗੀਮਥੁਰਾਜਾਤਿਹਮਧਬਰੇਤੀ॥੧੦੩੬॥
ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਦਾ ਸੈਨਾ-ਦਲ ਹੈ, ਮਥੁਰਾ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਬਰੇਤੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੧੦੩੬॥
The army of Jarasandh is like the sea and before this vast army, Matura is like a small island.1036.
ਜੋਬਲਬੰਡਬਡੇਦਲਮੈਤਿਹਅਗ੍ਰਕਥਾਮਹਿਨਾਮਕਹੈਹਉ॥
(ਇਸ) ਸੈਨਾ ਦਲ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਅਗਲੀ ਕਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਕਹਾਂਗਾ।
ਜੋਸੰਗਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਲਰੈਰਿਸਕੈਤਿਨਕੇਜਸਕੋਮੁਖਤੇਉਚਰੈਹਉ॥
ਜੋ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਉਚਾਰਾਂਗਾ।
In the forthcoming story, I have mentioned the names of those great heroes, who is anger fought with Krishna and eulogised them
ਜੇਬਲਿਭਦ੍ਰਕੇਸੰਗਿਭਿਰੇਤਿਨਕਉਕਥਕੈਪ੍ਰਭਲੋਕਰਿਝੈਹਉ॥
ਜੋ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ('ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲੋਕ') ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
I have also mentioned the fighters with Balbhadra and pleased the people
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਸਭੈਗ੍ਰਿਹਲਾਲਚਕੋਹਰਿਕੇਹਰਿਕੇਹਰਿਕੇਗੁਨਗੈਹਉ॥੧੦੩੭॥
ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਦੇ, ਹਰਿ ਦੇ, ਹਰਿ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੧੦੩੭॥
Now I will eulogise the lion-like Krishna, forsaking all types of greed.1037.

ਜਦੁਬੀਰਨਸਬਹੂੰਸੁਨੀਦੂਤਕਹੀਜਬਆਇ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ (ਗੱਲ) ਕਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਦੁਬੰਸੀ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣੀ,
ਮਿਲਿਸਬਹੂੰਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਸਦਨਮੰਤ੍ਰਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋਜਾਇ॥੧੦੩੮॥
(ਤਦੋਂ) ਸਭ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਲ ਵਿਚ ਸਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ॥੧੦੩੮॥
When the messenger told about the attack, then all the people of the Yadava clan heard it and all of them gathering together went to the house of the king to ponder over the situation.1038.

ਤੇਈਸਛੂਹਨਲੈਦਲਸੰਗਿਚਢਿਯੋਹਮਪੈਅਤਿਹੀਭਰਿਰੋਹੈ॥
ਤੇਈ ਅਛੋਹਣੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹ) ਸਾਡੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਇਆ।
The king told that taking alongwith him the twenty-three units of his immense army, Jarasandh in great fury has attacked us
ਜਾਇਲਰੈਅਰਿਕੇਸਮੁਹੇਇਹਲਾਇਕਯਾਪੁਰਮੈਅਬਕੋਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ) ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲੜੇ, ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ (ਅਜਿਹਾ) ਯੋਗ (ਪੁਰਸ਼) ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?
Who is there here in this city who can confront the enemy
ਜੋਭਜਿਹੈਡਰੁਮਾਨਿਘਨੋਰਿਸਕੈਸਬਕੋਤਬਮਾਰਤਸੋਹੈ॥
ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਜਾਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
If we run away, we lose our honour and they will kill all of us in anger, therefore we have to fight with the army of Jarasandh without hesitation
ਤਾਤੇਨਿਸੰਕਭਿਰੋਇਨਸੋਜਿਤਹੈਤੁਭਲੋਮ੍ਰਿਤਏਜਸੁਹੋਹੈ॥੧੦੩੯॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਜਿਤ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਚੰਗਾ, ਮਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਯਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੧੦੩੯॥
Because if we win, it will be good for us and if we die, we shall gain honour.1039.
ਤਉਜਦੁਬੀਰਕਹਿਯੋਉਠਿਕੈਰਿਸਿਬੀਚਸਭਾਅਪੁਨੇਬਲਸੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਸਭਾ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਬਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਅਬਕੋਬਲਵੰਡਬਡੋਹਮਮੈਚਲਿਆਗੇਹੀਜਾਇਲਰੈਦਲਸੋ॥
ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੌਣ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਗੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇ।
Then Krishna stood up in the court and said, “Who is so powerful amonst us who may fight with the enemy,
ਅਪਨੋਬਲਧਾਰਿਸੰਘਾਰਕੈਦਾਨਵਦੂਰਕਰੈਸਭਭੂਤਲਸੋ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ) ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰੇ।
“And assuming power, he may remove the demons fron this earth
ਬਹੁਭੂਤਪਿਸਾਚਨਕਾਕਨਿਡਾਕਨਿਤੋਖਕਰੈਪਲਮੈਪਲਸੋ॥੧੦੪੦॥
(ਅਤੇ) ਬਹੁਤੇ ਭੂਤਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰੇਤਾਂ, ਪਿਸ਼ਾਚਾਂ, ਕਾਂਵਾਂ, ਡਾਕਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ (ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦਾ) ਮਾਸ (ਖਵਾ ਕੇ) ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ ॥੧੦੪੦॥
He may offer his flesh to the ghosts, fiends and vampires etc., and may satisfy the people becoming a martyr in the battlefield.”1040.
ਜਬਯਾਬਿਧਿਸੋਜਦੁਬੀਰਕਹਿਯੋਕਿਨਹੂੰਮਨਮੈਨਹੀਧੀਰਧਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧੀਰਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
When Krishna said like this, then the endurance of everyone gave way
ਹਰਿਦੇਖਿਤਬੈਮੁਖਿਬਾਇਰਹੇਸਭਹੂੰਭਜਬੇਕਹੁਚਿਤਕਰਿਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਮੂੰਹ ਅਡ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਭਜਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਰ ਆਇਆ।
Seeing Krishna, their mouths remined wide open and they all began to think of running away
ਜੋਊਮਾਨਹੁਤੋਮਨਿਛਤ੍ਰਿਨਕੇਸੋਊਓਰਨਿਕੀਸਮਤੁਲਗਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜੋ ਛਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਗੜਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਲ ਗਿਆ।
The honour of all the Kshatriyas melted away like the hails in rain
ਕੋਊਜਾਇਨਸਾਮੁਹੈਸਤ੍ਰਨਕੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਨੇਮੁਖਤੇਬਿਧਿਯਾਉਚਰਿਯੋ॥੧੦੪੧॥
(ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿਚ) ਰਾਜਾ (ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਨ) ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਖ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਹਾ, (ਕੀਹ) "ਕੋਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਏਗਾ" ॥੧੦੪੧॥
None could make himself so bold as to fight with the enemy and boldly come forward to fulfil the desire of the king.1041.
ਕਿਨਹੂੰਨਹਿਧੀਰਜੁਬਾਧਿਸਕਿਯੋਲਰਬੇਤੇਡਰੇਸਭਕੋਮਨੁਭਾਜਿਯੋ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਸਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਲੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭਜਣ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤਾ।
None could preserve his endurance and everyone’s mind sped away from the idea of war
ਭਾਜਨਕੀਸਬਹੂੰਬਿਧਕੀਕਿਨਹੂੰਨਹੀਕੋਪਿਸਰਾਸਨੁਸਾਜਿਯੋ॥
ਸਭ ਨੇ ਭਜਣ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ, (ਪਰ) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਨਾ ਸਜਾਇਆ।
None could hold his bow and arrows in anger and thus dropped the idea of fighting, all of them planned to run away
ਯੌਹਰਿਜੂਪੁਨਿਬੋਲਿਉਠਿਓਗਜਕੋਬਧਿਕੈਜਿਮਕੇਹਰਿਗਾਜਿਯੋ॥
ਫਿਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ ਉਠ ਖੜੋਤੇ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹਾਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਗਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
Seeing this, Krishna thundered like a lion after killing the elephant
ਅਉਰਭਲੀਉਪਮਾਉਪਜੀਧੁਨਿਕੋਸੁਨਕੈਘਨਸਾਵਨਲਾਜਿਯੋ॥੧੦੪੨॥
(ਇਕ) ਹੋਰ ਉਪਮਾ (ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਧੁਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਸਾਵਣ ਦਾ ਬਦਲ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੦੪੨॥
Even the clouds of the month of Sawan felt shy on seeing him thundering.1042.

ਰਾਜਨਚਿੰਤਕਰੋਮਨਮੈਹਮਹੂੰਦੋਊਭ੍ਰਾਤਸੁਜਾਇਲਰੈਗੇ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਅਸੀਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਭਰਾ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
“O King! rule without anxiety
ਬਾਨਕਮਾਨਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਗਦਾਗਹਿਕੈਰਨਭੀਤਰਜੁਧਕਰੈਗੇ॥
ਬਾਣ, ਕਮਾਨ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ, ਗਦਾ (ਆਦਿਕ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ) ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
We, both the brothers will go to fight and wage a dreadful war carrying bow, arrows, sword, mace etc.
ਜੋਹਮਊਪਰਿਕੋਪਕੈਆਇਹੈਤਾਹਿਕੇਅਸਤ੍ਰਸਿਉਪ੍ਰਾਨਹਰੈਗੇ॥
ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਉਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਏਗਾ, ਅਸੀਂ ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਾਣਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹਰ ਲਵਾਂਗੇ।
“Anyone who confronts us, we shall destroy him with our arms
ਪੈਉਨਕੋਮਰਿਹੈਡਰਹੈਨਹੀਆਹਵਤੇਪਗਦੁਇਨਟਰੈਗੇ॥੧੦੪੩॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਮਾਰਾਂਗੇ, ਡਰਾਂਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੋ ਕਦਮ ਵੀ ਪਿਛੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਾਂਗੇ ॥੧੦੪੩॥
We shall vanquish him and will not even go two steps backward.”1043.
ਇਉਕਹਿਕੈਯੌਦੋਊਠਾਢਭਏਚਲਕੈਨਿਜੁਮਾਤਪਿਤਾਪਹਿਆਏ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਭਰਾ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਖੜੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਗਏ।
ਆਵਤਹੀਦੁਹੂੰਹਾਥਨਜੋਰਿਕੈਪਾਇਨਊਪਰਮਾਥਲੁਡਾਏ॥
ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਟੇਕੇ।
Saying this, both the brothers stood up and came to their parents, before whom they bowed reverently
ਮੋਹੁਬਢਿਯੋਬਸੁਦੇਵਅਉਦੇਵਕੀਲੈਅਪੁਨੇਸੁਤਕੰਠਿਲਗਾਏ॥
ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਕੀ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਵਧ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਾਇਆ
Seeing them, the attackment of Vasudev and Devki increased and they hugged both the sons to their bosoms
ਜੀਤਹੁਗੇਤੁਮਦੈਤਨਸਿਉਭਜਿਹੈਅਰਿਜ੍ਯੋਘਨਬਾਤਉਡਾਏ॥੧੦੪੪॥
(ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ) ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਜ ਜਾਏਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹਵਾ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੦੪੪॥
They said, “You will conquer the demons and they will run away just as the clouds run away before the wind.”1044.
ਮਾਤਪਿਤਾਕਉਪ੍ਰਨਾਮਦੋਊਕਰਿਕੈਤਜਿਧਾਮਸੁਬਾਹਰਿਆਏ॥
ਦੋਵੇਂ, ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ, ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਗਏ।
Bowing before their parents, both the heroes left their home and came out
ਆਵਤਹੀਸਭਆਯੁਧਲੈਪੁਰਬੀਰਜਿਤੇਸਭਹੀਸੁਬੁਲਾਏ॥
ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਸਨ, ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
On coming out they took all the weapons and called all the warriors
ਦਾਨਘਨੇਦਿਜਕਉਦਏਸ੍ਯਾਮਦੁਹੂੰਮਿਲਿਆਨੰਦਚਿਤਬਢਾਏ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ (ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ) ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਧਾਇਆ।
The Brahmins were given great number of gifts in charity and they were greatly pleased in mind
ਆਸਿਖਦੇਤਭਏਦਿਜਇਉਗ੍ਰਿਹਆਇਹੋਜੀਤਿਘਨੇਅਰਿਘਾਏ॥੧੦੪੫॥
ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ (ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ) ਜੇਤੂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤੋਗੇ ॥੧੦੪੫॥
They blessed both the brothers and said, “You will kill the enemies and return safely to your home.”1045.
